Ch4

One of the best places to go shopping in central city was the market outside the ruins from where the black comet landed 3 years ago. At least that was hopes opinion though her best friend agreed and that was good enough for her. As she dragged her adoptive brother through the street she heard music.

There's something missing

Something's not quite right

And I feel it calling

to me every night

She rushed to the source of the melody, leaving gadget stunned and carrying her bags. She saw two hedgehogs in the ruins. They were the ones making such wonderful music. They looked so familiar yet so distant at the same time. She couldn't help but join in.

A little voice inside

Tells me someone is out there

And I must never give up

Searching everywhere!

(Someday!)

we are gonna be together

(Someday!)

life will be so much better

In the distance a certain blue hedgehog heard the song. He could feel there location. Instinctively he ran as fast as he could to them. His brother and sister playing with... another hedgehog? He didn't care. He took out his medallion and played with them.

We will build a bond no one can break

(Someday!)

No more dark clouds above

(Someday!)

United in the light of love

(Someday!)

The story can only end one way

We'll be together someday!

(Someday!)

Life will be so much better

(Someday!)

We will build a bond no one can break

(Someday!)

No more dark clouds above

(Someday!)

United in the light of love

(Someday!)

The story can only end one way

We'll be together someday

Someday!

We'll be together someday!

The four hedgehogs stared at each other in excitement. While the triplets hugged each other, saying how much they missed one another, Hope couldn't believe she had played music with total strangers. And it felt right! One of them was Sonic the Hedgehog nonetheless. While she contemplated what this all meant she got a flash of her earliest memory.

A purple hedgehog sitting in the forest sobbing with a much younger Hope. An elderly anteater taking her away. Her mother promising that they would all be together again. Her medallion glowing deep purple as she went through a portal. "Bye bye Mamma" she had whispered.

She recalled her mother was queen Aleena and she had three younger siblings her entire life, but she forgot the power in her amulet. But now... three other hedgehogs with similar amulets able to summon instruments from them. Were... they the siblings she had such trouble remembering?

"How did you get that?" asked the fuchsia hedgehog with light pink hair. She was pointing at the microphone shaped crystal strung onto a piece of string around her neck. "My mother gave it to me. It's one of the very few things I have left of her." The cobalt and sky blue sow explained fondly. The other hedgehogs looked at her in astonishment. "I have a theory." Said a lion she apparently hadn't noticed. "She must be related to you in some way or a friend of your family. It's the only explanation." He shrugged.

"Cy! I haven't seen you in forever, man!" Exclaimed the hero of Mobius. The two seemed familiar with each other and greeted one another like best friends who hadn't seen each other in years, which they very well might be.

"I see you have finally found each other young ones." Croaked a rather old voice behind them. "Hope. I haven't seen you in forever, child. Come and let me get a good look at you." Hope recognised him immediately as her mother's oldest friend. She obliged, but not before embracing the old mage. This is when a certain red wolf that she had abandoned cane running to them. "Hope! Don't run off on me! You can't just run off leaving me to carry all your shopping...". He trailed of realising that there were about six mobians staring at him. "Who are these guys?"

This has got to be the longest chapter I've written so far, and yes hopes adoptive brother is the forces oc. From most of the media I've seen his name is gadget. Anyway I forgot about both him an Cyrus for a wile so I hope it isn't obvious that I threw them in there just to move the story along. Anyways. See ya next time.
