On a rainy day on the cliffside road, a red 2021 Toyota Supra was driving on the road. Inside the vehicle was a tall, white-haired young adult around the age of 21. He wore an orange flannel jacket, a blue and white t-shirt, a black digital watch, blue jeans, and white running shoes. The young man received a text message from one of his sisters.
Lincoln: Do you want ham or turkey for Thanksgiving?
He wanted to text, but he had to keep his eye on the roads in this weather as the rain came down hard and he heard the thunder explode in the air.
"Man, this weather is the worst. It's supposed to be nice and sunny." Lincoln thought
Lincoln once dove out of the cliffside onto a small and old bridge over a river. He saw a green custom Ram truck coming on the bridge . Suddenly, the truck swerved around the road and came straight at Lincoln. He tried to avoid it, but the truck hit, causing the car to drive off the bridge and crash into the water below. Lincoln opened the car door and swam out of the car.
Lincoln managed to swim to the surface. He saw there wasn't a bridge anymore or anything, just long stretches of water and light in the sky.
"Where am I?" Lincoln thought
Lincoln swamped around trying to find some land, but only to find nothing. He was about to give up but only to find a rowboat with two people. A man and a woman in yellow raincoats were rowing a boat.
"Hey, I need some help!" Lincoln shouted out
The rowboat stopped near Lincoln, and he got on the boat.
"Thank you. I thought I was going to be stuck out here," said Lincoln.
"No problem, young man," said the man.
"Yes, there is a lighthouse up ahead where you could take refuge and warm yourself," said the woman.
"I'm not complaining about that," said Lincoln.
"Good off we go," said the man.
Lincoln sits as the man rows the boat to a lighthouse. He wondered where he was and asked the two.
"Hey, where am I?"
"You are in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, boy, have you hit your head?" said the lady.
"What! It's impossible that I was in the midwest. How the heck did I end up in the ocean? "
"Don't know, at least you're not rowing?" said the man
"I think you're doing fine. You don't need help," said the woman.
"That's because you're the one who's not rowing."
Lincoln wondered how his family would react as the two bickered, especially since his phone was now at the bottom of the Atlantic ocean. Eventually, the three make it to the lighthouse via a boardwalk. Lincoln used the boardwalk ladder to climb up onto the boardwalk, and he saw the two people in raincoats starting to row away.
Lincoln shouted, "Where are you two going?"
"We have some business we have to attend to!" The man shouted back.
The woman shouted as well, "I'm sure that we'll meet again once you step into the lighthouse."
Lincoln had no idea what the two were talking about, but he was getting cold and wet from the rain. He heads into the lighthouse. Before he could go in, he saw a note on the door.
Lincoln read the note, "Step inside, and you'll find a way back home."
He shrugged and walked into the lighthouse to see circular stars, a few candles around the bottom floor, and religious signs. Like the one near the stairs that said, "From Sodom Shall I Lead Thee."
Feeling the creepiness of the place, Lincoln only thought, "I need to get to a phone and get out of this mess I got myself into."
Lincoln walked up the stairs. He saw a bloody handprint on the wall, and he hoped it was fake. Once he got up the stairs, he saw a dead man tied to the chair with a sack over his head and blood pool around him. There was a large note on the man's lap that said, "we hope that you do better than this man, Lincoln."
"What the fuck is this? And how did they know my name? Does anyone know if I'll come here?" Lincoln thought
He saw four things on a small table: a card, a Colt revolver in a gun holster with bullets, another paper, and a sack filled with coins. Lincoln picked up the card and saw a scroll that had X1 next to it, a key, and a sword that had X2 next to it as well. Lincoln put the card into his pocket. He looks at the piece of paper and says, "You're going to need this for what's going to happen." He takes the gun and the holster off the table and puts them on, not any taking chances. Lincoln never actually used a gun in his life, but he doesn't want to be unarmed for whatever could pop up in the lighthouse. Finally, Lincoln just stuffed the bag of coins into his jacket pocket to look at it later.
Lincoln continued to walk up the stairs to reach the top of the lighthouse, where he found a letter on the door of the light. The door had an angle on it, and below were bells with the same symbols that were on the card. He takes the letter off the door, and he opens it to find a note and a photo of a young woman with black hair in a ponytail and blue eyes. She wore a white blouse and a blue skirt.
He then read the note.
"You may have questions about why you're here. But those questions will be answered eventually just by knowing this. You must find the girl in the photo and you'll be with your family again. However, this will be a dangerous task, but we are sure that you'll come up with something. After all, you are the man with the plan. "
From R & R Lutece
Lincoln doesn't want to say anything after reading but knows that the girl in the photo was the answer and the hope of getting back to his family. He went to the door and tried to open it, but it wouldn't budge. Then he realized what the card meant. Lincoln started to ring the bells in order, as many times as the card said. The door opened, and he got inside, but not before a red light flashed in the sky and horns blew through the air.
"What in the world?" Lincoln thought
Lincoln stepped inside and saw the center where the light was switched to a red chair in the center of the room.
"I guess they expected me to sit in that chair. Let's hope whatever happen goes smoothly. "
And that was the last word Lincoln would regret thinking of as he embarked on an adventure that he would never expect to be on, even in his hectic life.
