Lincoln sat on the red chair that was oddly comfortable until suddenly metal restraints came out of the chair. Strapping Lincoln's arms, torso, and feet made him hold still on the chair.

"Great, now what?" Lincoln thought

Then a woman's voice started to talk through an intercom. "Make yourself ready. Pilgrim. The bindings are the safeguard. "

Then metal walls started to come out and surround Lincoln, trapping him inside the wall. The young man saw that the wall had clocks, levers, and gauges. Then he saw the floor disappear, floating above the gears, and he saw the rocket parts attach to the pod. Lincoln then realized what was going to happen.

"I'm going to be blasted off to God nowhere," Lincoln thought.

The woman chimed in and did not help with the situation. "Ascension, Ascension in the count of five, count of four, three, two, one."

Then the rocket pod took off. Lincoln couldn't do anything and hoped the rocket wouldn't explode or sink into the water.

"Five thousand feet… Ten-thosuand feet… Fifteen thousand feet…."

Lincoln looked up to see the rocket flying through the thunder clouds, seeing lighting and thunder play in the dark shadows with rain hitting hard on the rocket. Until a bright light blinded him for a moment, he saw what could only be found in people's imaginations, as he saw a floating city with an angelic statue.

"Hallelujah."

"Woah!" was all Lincoln could say.

He then felt the rocket begin to descend, and he saw a blimp flying by a tower, and he even saw what was holding the city up in the air with propellers and blimp parts.

"This is crazy," Lincoln thought.

The pod landed and began to descend. He saw a message that was carved into a metal frame.

"Why Would He Send His Savior Unto Us?"

"If We Will Not Raise A Finger For Our Own Salvation,"

"And Though We Deserved Not His Mercy."

"He Has Led Us To This New Eden."

"A Last Chance for Redemption."

"That sounded biblical," Lincoln thought.

Then his thoughts were confirmed as the pod stopped descending to show a painting of an old bearded man pointing to a floating city and surrounded by people. Candles were below it, and above it was another message.

"And The Prophet Shall Lead The People To Eden."

The pod door opened, and Lincoln was released from his restraints. His body felt stiff for a moment before he was able to move and got out of his chair and stepped on the watery floor. Lincoln was still trying to process that he was in a floating city that no one on the planet noticed. Still, he could look around to see what was going on with the place and try to get information about the girl he needed to find. As Lincoln found him out of the building, he soon realized that he was in a church with church bells ringing, angel statues, and the preacher preaching. Lincoln ended up at the bottom of the church and saw the preacher and churchgoers dressed in white who were blocking the exit.

The preacher saw him and said, "A new young man from the sodom below."

The churchgoers moved out of the way for Lincoln to be in the center.

"I guess so. Look, I'm sorry about interrupting you. I just need to leave," said Lincoln.

"The only way into the city child is to be reborn through baptism in the sweet water that baptizes many."

"Well, I'm not that religious, but I need to go through with it." Lincoln went to the preacher, and he grabbed him and said, "hey."

In the name of our prophet, in the name of the founders, I baptize you. In the name of our Lord!"

The preacher began to baptize Lincoln. He heard one of the churchgoers say, "and make him born again in the bosom of Columbia."

"I don't know. Brothers and sisters, But this one doesn't quite clean." said the preacher.

Before Lincoln could say a word, the preacher baptized him again, and it turned into him drowning. Lincoln could breathe and started to fade away until he saw darkness.

Lincoln then wakes up on a red couch in a strange apartment that he has never seen before, complete with a spiral staircase, a fancy kitchen, a large bookcase, and a flat-screen TV. Then he heard a knock on the door, and a voice called out to him.

"Lincoln, are you awake?" said the voice.

He got up from the couch and opened the door to only see what seemed like a battle between blimps, and underneath was a burning city. Then a Blimp canon came to the front door and was about to shoot at him until he saw a big flash of white.

Lincoln then woke up on a bench outside of the church and coughed up some water.

Lincoln thought, "I don't think that's how to baptize."

He began to walk again, seeing people worshiping statues of the founding fathers. But Lincoln needed to focus, and the only way back to his family was to find the girl. At the end of the garden, he opened the door to see the whole church connected to a park, with the city prophet statue in the middle and holding a saber. Lincoln got some strange looks from a few citizens of Columbia. Lincoln was walking by a hotdog vendor when the vendor stopped him.

"It looked a little peckish. Son," said the vendor.

"Yeah, I haven't eaten much," said Lincoln.

"Then there is a dog. Today is a special day." The vendor gave Lincoln a hotdog.

"Thanks."

Lincoln eats the hotdog as he walks along the park, noticing that people were dressed straight out of the 1910s and speaking like it too. Then he noticed a paperboy trying to sell paper and shouting.

"Extra! Extra! Vox Populi supporters sentenced to life in prison for acts against Father Comstock!"

Lincoln walked over to the boy and accepted one of the boy's papers. He saw the date on the paper, and that blew his mind. June 5, 1912.

"What 1912? That can't be right; this 21st century, not the 20th century, this is nuts," Lincoln thought, wondering if he traveled back in time or if he was in some twilight zone. But he snapped back into reality, only thinking, "find the girl, get out of this whatever this is." he looked down at himself and said, "But first I need to fit in."

Ten minutes later, out of the park, Lincoln finds some clothes hanging on a wire and "borrows them." He changes into a bathroom. Coming out of it, Lincoln wore a purple jacket, a black vest, a white-collar shirt, black trousers, a purple bow-tie, and not-so-wet socks. He still kept his shoes and digital watch, which still worked.

"Time to get to work," Lincoln thought.

Lincoln is around for the girl in the photo, only to find a hard time doing so with none of the women fitting the deception of the girl in the photo. He wonders how long until his search will be pointless until a boy approaches him with two things in his hand.

"Telegram and a card, Mister Loud," said the boy.

The boy handed him both and then walked away.

Lincoln read the telegram. "The girl is where the card show stops. Don't alert Comstock if your presence stops. Whatever you do, do not pick 77 stops. Lutece."

Lincoln looked at the card to see the angelic statue, and he saw the angelic statue from a distance.

"I'm getting the feeling this is not going to be easy," Lincoln thought.
