Chapter 1: Jumped.

(Ponyboys POV)

It was like any other day in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It was August and was fairly cold outside, and I forgot a sweater. Today I decided to walk home from school, in a way I didn't really have a choice though cause Two-bit forgot. Probably was out getting drunk or something, I didn't mind. I liked the fresh air and the autumn trees. I was about two blocks away from home when I noticed a blue mustang trailing me. 'oh great.' I thought. Hope I don't get jumped, I don't want to worry Darry and Soda anymore.

I started picking up my speed, but not running. I wanted to seem tough, not intimidated… I wish I ran.

The mustang sped up, stopping ahead of me and five socs came out. They reeked of alcohol. They're drunk.. lovely. "Hey grease." The one with the rings said, he was one of them that I recognized. Bob Sheldon, this smart soc at my school, who got a lot of attention. I also noticed Randy, another smart soc, but he didn't get as much attention, the other 3 I didn't recognize.

"We are gonna give you a little haircut, and maybe wash that grease outta ya hair." Bob said to me, as he lunged forward at me. I tried to run backwards but they circled me, all of a sudden I was on the ground and they had my arms and legs down. "DARRY! DARRY! SODA!" I started to scream, I didn't know what else to do at the moment besides call for my brothers, the gang, anyone. "Shut him up! Shut him up!" The soc Bob said, sticking a piece of cloth in my mouth. They cut off a bit of my hair on the back, and dumped their whiskey on me.

They kicked me in my sides, punched me everywhere, stood on my arm, and just kept beating me. Why wont I just pass out.. why am I still conscious… I thought, just wanting to faint so I didn't have to feel the pain.

I tried screaming again, the cloth kinda fell out of my mouth. But then I felt an object poke me in the stomach. It was a switchblade. I froze in shock, not knowing what to do.

"You gonna scream again greaser?" I shook my head, terrified.

"good, good." They continued to punch and kick me, and cut my arms and chest a bit. It hurt so bad. I was trying not to cry but tears fell out.

"aww little greaser crying?" the smaller one said, and the rest of the laughed.

Finally, after what felt like forever. they stopped. Probably got bored cause I stopped screaming. I laid there panting, everything hurt so bad. After a bit of laying there I passed out from everything that just happened.

(Sodas POV)

When I got home, Pony wasn't there. I was confused cause usually he was home doing homework, but I brushed it off thinking he went to the library or something.

After about an hour I was starting to get worried. Steve and Johnny came over, and said they didn't know where he was. Darry came home and seemed more mad then worried. But I could still tell he was somewhat worried.

It was about 7, and nobody had heard or seen anything about him. Dally and Two-bit came over too. When Two-bit came he said that be forgot to pick him up and said he probably walked home and stopped at the library.

Then it was 8.

Then it was 9. And still no Ponyboy. I was starting to go crazy, where is my baby brother? Is he hurt? Is he lost? What if he got kidnapped?

"Where is he? Where could he be? He never stays out this late on a school night! We gotta go find him, we gotta!" I said. "Calm down Soda." Darry said, reassuring me. "We'll go find him. Johnny, you stay here unless he comes back. Two-bit and Steve you go to the lot, Dally you go to the library, and me and Soda will walk around. If you cant find him just come back here." Everyone agreed and we set out to go find him.

After what felt like a hour, we decided to head back. We checked the lot real quick and didn't see Steve or Two-bit and thought they went back home.

We got back home and everyone was there but Dally.

We all talked about how we didn't find anything , it was now 10 and no sign of Ponyboy.

Dally got back after about 10 minutes saying he ever searched the park, but nothing.

Then, we heard the door open.

HAHAHHAHA CLIFFHANGER HAhAHHAHAHA

Well when I post this chapter one and two will be out so ig not, also don't ask how they didn't find him. They just didn't. ok? 😊"
