What is destiny? Is it a song or a web? Is it as hard and solid as the earth or as gentle and flowing as water? As she lays down deep in the planet, bleeding out in a land long forgotten by time, she wonders this. Perhaps her tumbling here was preordained in stone or perhaps it was just happenstance. All she knows is that she is dying.

She does not shy away from it. She welcomes it. After a lifetime of wanting it but being unable to do it, she is.

But as she lays there waiting to take her last breath, the gears of time that have long since rusted and halted, stir once more. Their mechanical clanking barking out their will as loud as thunder.

A curse long concealed, once more wrought upon existence.

By her blood, a new age comes.

The wrath of the ancient world once more rekindled.
