Chapter 2: Prison Escape

The Stand Arrow a mysterious item capable of bringing out the power of a Stand in any individual if they survive. This is what put Joshua Joestar on his journey to discover its origins and what the people behind the Brando Mental Institution have planned with it.

His investigation has led him to the Mistral Maximum Security Prison, where he met another Stand User who shot the arrow at others. Maximilian Zeppeli has revealed some important things to Joshua. However, he was unable to question him thoroughly. Now, who is this man who is now hunting the two of them?

"Hehe, this is going to be fun, and with my stand CopyKatz, I can't lose." A Bald man laughed as he descended onto the prison below.

Joshua sat in his solitary confinement. It was his second day there, and he wasn't planning on waiting any longer. He knew it was only a matter of time before they found out his true identity, and he wasn't going to let that happen.

He waited for the guard who would deliver his meal to make his move. When the window on the door opened to slide in his food, he began his escape. Joshua summoned his Crimson Destiny and broke the door off its hinges and slammed it into the guard knocking him out.

"Thank goodness for aura," Joshua said as he took the man's keys from his unconscious body.

Before he left, he had to make one last stop checking the other solitary cells until he found him. Maximilian Zeppeli was tossing a knife up into the air, then catching it with his stand most likely to pass the time.

"What do you want now?" Maximilian questioned as Joshua opened the door's window.

"I'm here for the rest of the answers I wanted," Joshua answered.

"Oh, it's you. I see you escaped." Maximilian replied.

"Why is this so important to you?" Maximilian inquired.

"I want to know why these people are making Stand Users and why I was shot and what they are planning," Joshua explained.

"I also can't let them get away with what they've done, wouldn't you agree?" Joshua asked.

"Sure I want them gone it would make living my life a lot easier. But you're outclassed. There is only one of you and countless of them, and you have no idea where you're going." Maximilian responded.

"Why else do you think I work for them besides the constant torture. But now I failed them and ended up in here. I have no doubt that they have already sent another Stand User to kill me, and now that you're here, they'll go after you too." Maximilian added.

"That may be true, but together we have a better chance at surviving and succeeding." Joshua asserted.

"Preposterous even if I join you. What changes?!" Maximilian questioned, sitting up and turning to look Joshua in the eye.

"Let me ask you this what would change if you don't join me? Either you die in here waiting for another Stand User to kill you, or you come with me and have a chance of survival. To fight against the people behind the Brando Institution, the people who tortured us both?" Joshua asked.

Maximilian sat wide-eyed at Joshua. He knew that the man was right. If he didn't join, he would die there. But if he did join, he had a chance at survival, and revenge did sound nice. In the end, he knew that he couldn't argue with Joshua's logic.

"How can you trust me after all I worked with them for quite a while?" Maximilian questioned.

"Because you're like me, someone who was taken away and refused a normal life having to suffer at their hands," Joshua explained.

"I see your point. Indeed, I'd rather die fighting the good fight. But I will have to answer your questions after we escape." Maximilian replied.

"Fair enough." Joshua agreed.

"So, what now?" Maximilian questioned.

"We escape and take the arrow you used from evidence. Then we take the blood they took from me I'll get into specifics about that later." Joshua responded as he used the keys to open the door.

"Wouldn't it be easier to break off the door? Your Stand's power is strong enough to do so?" Maximilian questioned.

"I'd rather not leave much evidence here, and I don't want any other prisoners to escape. Say what you want about Mistral. The last thing it needs is the prisoners they keep in here to get out." Joshua explained.

"I see well whatever floats your boat. But if things go south we can't afford such a notion I hope you realize that." Maximilian asserted.

"I do," Joshua replied as he turned to go to the exit with Maximilian following close behind.

The two slowly made their way through the prison using the keys Joshua stole to get towards the outside. If the two ever ran into a guard, they planned to quickly dispatch of them, but no guard was ever seen.

Soon they found themselves at an impasse with the only way out being in the next building, and the only way to get to said building was across the courtyard. If the two of them were to go out there, they would be noticed in no time by the guards making escaping near impossible.

"So, what's your plan here because going through almost passively with the keys won't work when every guard in the prison is going to attack us?" Maximilian questioned.

"We have no choice, not many people will be able to get through here. So we are going to charge through and take out any guard that attacks us." Joshua answered, but he paused before they went.

"Something doesn't seem right." Joshua pointed out as he looked into the empty courtyard.

"What do you mean?" Maximilian asked.

"We haven't encountered a single guard while we've been going with this escape, and now it just seems too easy and quite." Joshua clarified.

"You're right I doubt it is a coincidence it must be…damn they must have made their move to kill me." Maximilian cursed.

"Are you sure it's them?" Joshua asked.

"It's the most likely scenario. So there must be a Stand User waiting for us in the courtyard." Maximilian answered.

"So either we try to wait things out, or we go out and face this Stand User." Joshua deducted.

"Exactly, but eventually, the Stand User will come and find us, so I'm not too keen on waiting." Maximilian pointed out.

"Neither am I, so let's introduce ourselves," Joshua replied as he opened the door.

The two entered the courtyard in a flash, looking around as they were met with an emptiness no one in sight. They stood there for a while in silence as nothing could be heard save some birds that flew overhead.

"Guess you were wrong," Joshua stated.

"Maybe, but still, this doesn't feel right," Maximilian replied.

"Kekeke." A high-pitched voice cackled.

"Time to reveal myself, I guess." The mysterious voice said.

Suddenly a four fort eight-man jumped from the roof and landed in front of the two. The man had no hair and brown eyes as he smiled like a kid in a candy store. He wore a black cloak and blue shirt with black pants and shoes.

"So, there was a Stand User," Joshua commented as he summoned his Crimson Destiny.

"It appears so and look what's in his hands!" Maximilian pointed out. In the man's right hand was the arrow Maximilian had used before he was arrested.

"What are you doing with that?!" Maximilian questioned.

"I'm taking this with me can't let people get their hands on this arrow when they're not part of the institution. But before I go, I will be killing the two of you!" The Man declared.

"Allow me to introduce myself. I am Kyatto, the Copycat, and this is my Stand CopyKatz!" Kyatto introduced himself, revealing his Stand a pure white mannequin.

"What the hell is that thing it doesn't look like much?" Joshua wondered.

"Don't underestimate it, Joshua. Even though a Stand looks weak, it can be really powerful." Maximilian warned.

"Nope, my Stand is actually is very weak but not for long," Kyatto revealed as his Stand glowed until it suddenly transformed to look exactly like Maximilian's Pins and Needles.

"What! But that's my Stand!" Maximilian shouted.

"And now it's mine as well!" Kyatto declared as he attacked them by throwing several knives.

Maximilian countered with his own Stand throwing knives at Kyatto's attack as Joshua ducked out of the way. Every one of the knives clashed with one another, almost seeming unending as the two fought.

Joshua watched the sight looking for an opening to attack Kyatto, but none came as the two Stand Users attacked one another. He watched closely tearing off a bar from the nearby window bars holding it close to Crimson Destiny.

"I need to find a better angle." Joshua thought as he moved around the area.

Eventually, he found his opening taking the bar and throwing it at Kyatto, who was unable to throw any knives to counter. Instead, Joshua was surprised when Kyatto jumped back, and his Stand transformed into Joshua's Crimson Destiny catching the bar.

"What!" Joshua gasped.

"Come on, you didn't think my Stand could only copy just Zeppeli's, did you?" Kyatto questioned.

"So that's all your Stand can do copy our Stands? If there weren't two of us here, I would be nervous." Joshua replied, angering Kyatto.

"It doesn't matter! Whatever Stand I copy, I can use whatever power it has as long as I know what the Stand can do! So thanks to your little fight a couple of days ago, I know everything your Stands can do!" Kyatto declared.

"We'll see how good you can copy our Stands!" Maximilian shouted as he threw more knives at Kyatto.

Kyatto changed his Stand once more to match Maximilian's Pins and Needles to counter the attack. The second he switched Stands, Joshua tore off two more bars and threw them at an even greater speed at Kyatto.

However, instead of switching Stands like he did before, he used his copy's knives to tear the bars apart, having anticipated the attack. Afterward, he implanted several knives into Joshua's body. As his aura began to compensate for the damage, Joshua jumped back to avoid any more contact.

"Wait, I can still move!" Joshua realized as he moved his body.

Joshua then pulled out a knife to test a theory, and like with his fight with Maximilian, he bled excessively. Patching himself up, Joshua began to theorize why the bleeding effect of Pins and Needles worked but not the paralysis.

"Hey Maximilian, tell me, is there a special way to activate the paralysis effect of your Stand because it seems that Kyatto can't do it?" Joshua whispered as he joined up with his fellow Stand User.

"He can't? Well, that's another advantage we have." Maximilian smiled.

"What are you talking about?" Joshua asked as the two split up to avoid an attack from Kyatto.

"He can copy our Stands and their abilities, but he cannot use them to their full potential like we can. The reason I can paralyze people is because I hit pressure points on the body. It is a technique unique to the Zeppeli family, one he cannot replicate!" Maximilian explained.

"I see he's like a child imitating what he sees on the TV," Joshua replied.

"What did you just say I AM NOT A CHILD AND I DO NOT DO SUCH THINGS!" Kyatto screamed his face turning red.

"Someone seems embarrassed." Maximilian laughed.

"Yeah, he looks like a tomato," Joshua smirked

"SHUT UP I WILL SHOW YOU WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU MAKE ME MAD!" Kyatto declared as he used his CopyKatz to throw a massive barrage of knives at the two Stand Users.

The two Stand Users jumped out of the way to avoid the attack before Maximilian countered with his own knives. However, he couldn't match Kyatto's attack, for he was slow on his response. Joshua used his premonition to see what would happen next as a knife embedded itself in his skull.

Opening his eyes, he moved out of the way of said knife, avoiding that future and painful injury. It almost felt though like it did hit. However, he brushed off the pain. With no cover to speak of, Joshua and Maximilian were forced to stay in motion so that no knives could make contact with one another.

Joshua then got the idea to break open the ground and lift up a part of the ground as a wall. Once completed, Joshua hid behind the wall, being joined by Maximilian as Kyatto chipped away at the barrier.

"Okay, so thoughts?" Joshua asked.

"I have a plan. It seems that this Kyatto guy prefers my Stand I believe that he dislikes close combat." Maximilian began.

"I have another skill that I don't like revealing, so when it happens, do me a favor and keep your mouth shut about it so that it can work better!" Maximilian demanded.

"Alright, so what's the plan?" Joshua questioned.

"I will surprise Kyatto with my move, then you go in and take him out. Seeing that he doesn't use your Stand much, it's probably because he most likely doesn't know how to use yours as well as he does mine." Maximilian explained

"Alright, let's do this." Joshua agreed.

The two Stand Users jumped out from behind their cover, and once they did, Kyatto began to split his knife throws between the two. However, it was all for not when the knives thrown by Maximilian's Pins, and Needles suddenly rose into the air.

Each one-shot into Kyatto's body, hitting him in several areas of the body. However, due to the inaccuracy of the attack, it did not paralyze Kyatto. It didn't matter, however, when Joshua got in front of the bald man and dealt the finishing blow shattering Kyatto's aura and breaking several bones.

"trotrotrotroTroTroTroTroTROTROTROTROTROTROTZEN!" Joshua's Stand yelled as Kyatto was thrown into the nearby wall dropping the arrow.

"Well, that ended faster than expected." Joshua pointed out as he retrieved the arrow.

"Well, if it was one on one, it may have been a different story. But whoever sent him didn't think of the possibility of another Stand User being here." Maximilian replied as he pulled out Kyatto and looked at his neck.

"Plus, this guy never had a chance against the two of us in the first place being a C Brand," Maximilian stated, revealing the C branded onto Kyatto's lower neck.

"Why did they send a C Brand to fight a A Brand?" Joshua wondered.

"Well, the guy's Stand did have the potential. But since it would take too long to master anyone's Stand, he probably was going to surprise me and kill me before I could react." Maximilian guessed.

"He was probably overconfident that he could kill us by surprising us with his Stands ability," Joshua suggested.

"What should we do with him now?" Maximilian asked until a loud alarm rang throughout the prison.

"Leave him for the guards to keep him, let's get out of here while we can," Joshua answered as he and Maximilian ran towards the exit.

Name: Kyatto the Copycat.

Stand: CopyCatz.

Brand: C.

Ability: To copy any Stand and its power if he has seen them, however, due to not having the proper knowledge of how to use said Stands, the User is at a disadvantage.

Status: Out of Commission.

Not forgetting his other objective, Joshua quickly broke into the medical bay and destroyed the vial that contained his blood. This way, no one could find out who he truly was. Once done, he and Maximilian broke through the wall and ran out of the prison, avoiding gunshots by the guards.

It didn't take long to get far from the prison, but it did take longer to lose the guards and huntsman that were pursuing them. Seven hours later, the two Stand Users found themselves back at the city of Mistral in the lower slums blending in with the crowd to lose anyone else tracking them.

"Think we lost them?" Joshua questioned.

"At this point, I think they're gone. But we should still be careful technically speaking we're wanted men." Maximilian pointed out.

"That's true, but just to be safe, let's go and hide out somewhere real quick," Joshua suggested.

Quickly Joshua and Maximilian ducked into an abandoned building, making sure no one saw them enter. When they were finally confident that they were alone, they rested for their moment of reprieve and strategize their next move.

"So, what now got another plan to expose the people behind the institution?" Maximilian asked.

"Not yet, but now that we have time, I'd like to finish my questions," Joshua responded.

"Alright, get it over with." Maximilian sighed.

"How did they contact you and give you the Stand Arrow?" Joshua questioned.

"When I finally gave in and decided to work with the institution instead of continuing their torture, they entrusted me with an arrow and instructions on what to do." Maximilian began.

"I had to wait a couple of months and blend in with the people of Mistral. Then I would shoot the arrow at everyone and anyone probably to make new "patients" for the institution." Maximilian continued.

"Other than that, they said that one day they will send information on how to return the arrow?" Maximilian finished.

"Do you know how many arrows there are?" Joshua asked.

"No idea," Maximilian answered.

"How do the arrows work?" Joshua inquired.

"I don't know the specifics, but I know that not everyone who is shot gets a Stand. In fact, there is a chance that the arrow will kill a person. So when I was shooting it, I tried to do it sparingly so that no one died." Maximilian explained.

"Guess the people who were shot got lucky you were the one shooting them, Maximilian," Joshua replied.

"Since we'll be spending an extended amount of time together, let's get something straight call me Max. I never liked the sound of my name. It's too formal." Max requested.

"Alright then, Max," Joshua said.

"Also, your name Joshua is too formal as well. What should I call you instead?" Max questioned.

"I…I don't know I never really thought about something like that," Joshua responded.

"Well, let's see your name is Joshua Joestar so…Jo…Jo….huh yeah, I like that I'll call you JoJo." Max replied.

"JoJo?" Joshua wondered, confused.

"From the two Jo's in your name." Maximilian clarified.

"JoJo, I like that as well." Joshua smiled.

Suddenly the two were taken out of their conversation when the sound of footsteps and banging coming from outside. Soon the door was busted open, and several people entered the room trapping the two Stand Users in the room.

"Shit, they found us." Joshua cursed.

"They don't look like huntsmen, though." Max pointed out.

"Huntsmen? Man, we're no huntsmen, but what we are is the let's say "owners" of this territory, and you two are trespassing! So if you want to leave in one piece, then you better pay up." One of the thugs threatened.

"Come and try it!" Max shouted as he and Joshua brought out their Stands though none of the thugs could see them.

"HOLD IT!" A voice shouted, stopping everyone in their tracks as a single man pushed through the crowd of thugs.

"I won't let any of you hurt that man or his compatriot!" The man declared as he came into view.

"Wait, you're the man I got information out of!" Joshua gasped, recognizing the man as the one who told him where to find Max.

"That's right, Mr. Joestar, though when we last met, I never got to properly introduce myself the names Speedwagon, Richard Speedwagon." Richard introduced himself.

"I've taken quite the liking to ya Joshua when I met you, I saw raw determination and spirit. The way you put your trust in me has given me a new outlook on life. I wish to repay you that debt and help you on your journey." Richard added.

"JoJo, can we trust what this guy is telling us?" Max questioned.

"Yes, I can feel it he's telling the truth if he wasn't, he wouldn't put himself on the line like this to prevent the fight," Joshua answered.

"Alright, I'll accept your help. But for that, we need to go somewhere less…hostile." Joshua requested, looking at the thugs behind Richard.

"Just follow me, I'll lead you through the city to avoid any detection," Richard replied.

The two Stand Users followed Richard out of the building and into a local bar where they sat down to talk. Richard ordered a whiskey while Max had wine, but Joshua only had water as he never cared for alcohol, for he had a close family member who was an alcoholic.

"Thank you for helping us back there. But just to let you know you're getting into matters that not even most experienced huntsman or huntresses could handle." Maximilian stated, breaking the silence.

"I understand the dangers this world can throw, but I will not let my spirit be shattered by it," Richard replied.

"You say that, but this is beyond what you may know or even understand," Joshua said as he and Max explained what they were after and about the basics of Stand power.

"It's hard to believe that such things truly exist. But that makes how you pinned me to the wall earlier seem more likely." Richard mused.

"And to think it's all because of a simple arrow," Richard added as he picked up the arrow and inspected it.

"Careful if it hits you, there is a chance it can kill you," Max warned as Richard accidentally poked himself in the finger with the arrow.

"Oops, what can a little prick do?" Richard asked in a panic.

"You'll be fine, calm down. No one has ever pricked themselves like that. Something so insignificant shouldn't be a problem, but be careful." Max answered, swiping the arrow away from Richard.

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Max questioned in a low whisper.

"Give him a chance," Joshua responded.

"So, what now what is your next move?" Richard asked.

"That's the thing we don't know the trail has run cold at the moment," Joshua answered.

"I have some contacts that may be able to dig something up, so I'll give them a call," Richard replied.

"That would be a great help, thank you, Richard." Joshua thanked.

"Now, before we go any further, I need to test your knowledge on Stands JoJo, specifically how the power of a Stand is determined." Max asserted.

"What do you mean by that?" Joshua asked.

"I don't know what it was like for you Star Brands since all of you were shrouded in mystery, but for the rest of us, it was taught to us when we weren't in...procedures." Maximilian clarified.

"You're right during my stay in the institution. They never told me anything about my Stand, almost like they didn't want me to learn more about it or at least not yet." Joshua replied.

"By how you described this place and this branding system since the Star Brands have the best Stands. Maybe they didn't want you using your Stand in case you try to escape or act up." Richard suggested.

"That actually makes sense. Maybe whoever was in charge could handle Stands under Star. But not too many Star Brands themselves or at least wanted them under their control." Max agreed.

"Either way back on the topic a Stand varies based on the person and who they are in a sense a Stand is like a semblance but better. It is a physical manifestation of the soul." Max began.

"That being said, say if someone was shot with the arrow while they have their semblance, their Stand would be like an upgraded version of their old Semblance." Max continued

"Say, and I'm just spitballing here, that someone had a semblance to create illusions their Stand could create a physical manifestation of those illusions," Max explained.

"What if someone like me who didn't have their semblance when they were shot would they have both a Stand and a semblance?" Joshua asked.

"No, their semblance will never manifest itself, but their aura obviously still remains," Max answered.

"Basically, all you need to know is that any kind of Stand is remarkably powerful, and its ability can be anything no matter how impossible it may seem." Max finished.

"So about this Brand system at the Brando institution, every patient has one right?" Richard asked.

"That's right. I have an A, and JoJo has a Star." Max responded.

"If I tell my informants to look for people with brands in such locations, then we may just find them and where the remnants of the Brando Institution are." Richard theorized.

"That would make this easier how long would this take?" Joshua questioned.

"A couple of days give or take," Richard answered as he shuffled a deck of cards.

"What's with the cards?" Max asked.

"They're his weapon when I questioned him about you I noticed they were razor-sharp," Joshua answered.

"How do you use a deck of cards as a weapon?" Max questioned.

"I throw them like throwing stars, or I can cut things like a knife. I've always liked cards since I was a kid watching card tricks though I don't know how to play any games." Richard explained.

"You must really like cards to use them as weapons." Max laughed.

"Laugh all you want, but in the right hands, these can be dangerous," Richard replied.

"By the way, JoJo, why did you need to destroy the blood sample they took from you it seemed important?" Max questioned.

"It's because Joshua Joestar is not my real name in truth I abandoned my old name soon after I escaped the institute. Now my old name means nothing to me anymore. I am a different man than who I was when I first entered the institute." Joshua explained.

"If my family found out that I was alive now, it would put this adventure to an end, and it would put them in danger, specifically my mother and sisters," Joshua added.

"What about your father?" Richard asked.

"I could care less about the man who sent me into that hell hole and actively funded it. Even though he didn't know what it was fully, it was unforgivable." Joshua answered.

"Does that mean your family is rich?" Max asked.

"Yes, we're pretty well off occasionally now, and then I backdoor my old account and take some lien from it. Honestly, I never cared for being rich. It separated me from others, so I never had any real friends." Joshua responded.

"I see one last question what's with the bracelet I mean it looks like it's meant to be worn by a girl?" Max questioned.

"It used to belong to someone close to me I'd rather not get into the specifics just yet," Joshua answered as he stood up.

"We should find a place to stay until a lead is found," Joshua suggested.

"I've got an old warehouse on the south side that used to belong to my family so we can stay there for the meantime," Max revealed.

"Good, I'll meet you there. I need to take care of something real quick and don't worry, I'll avoid detection." Joshua replied as he left Max and Richard.

"Does he know where the warehouse is?" Richard asked.

"He'll be able to figure it out," Max replied as he left with Speedwagon following close behind.

5 days Later…

"I'm questioning whether or not we'll ever find any leads." Max sighed as he and Joshua sat in the abandoned warehouse, waiting on Richard.

"These things take time. It can't always be easy," Joshua replied.

"Has anyone ever told you that you are way too optimistic," Max asked.

"Not until just now," Joshua answered.

"So beyond just finding where the Brando Institution is now, what is your plan to just beat up everyone there cause that will take years?" Max questioned.

"I plan on finding out who's in charge and kill them, then I'm going to make sure that all these Stand Arrows are in the hands of people who will take care of them. That or destroy them." Joshua explained.

"Well, that's not too bad. But that's all assuming you find someone who knows who's in charge." Max replied.

"Someone has to how else can this person run such an intricate organization without someone knowing who they are." Joshua pointed out.

"Fair enough." Max agreed. Soon after, Richard entered the warehouse with a large smile upon his face.

"What's with the smile did you finally get a lead on something?" Max asked.

"I did one of my informants found something, or I should say, someone." Richard began as he held out a picture to the two Stand Users.

"This man was seen in Vale yesterday, and it is said that he had an A Brand on his lower neck just like Max, and it seems like he also has an arrow," Richard revealed, pointing at the golden arrow hidden in the man's clothes.

"I'll be damned. You actually managed to find something." Max replied.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Richard questioned.

"Don't worry about it," Max responded.

"He's in Vale, you said?" Joshua asked.

"That's right why?" Richard replied.

"He's most likely on a mission just like Max to shoot people with the arrow. Since there hasn't been anything about it on the news, he must be waiting for something." Joshua began.

"Isn't the Vytal Festival in Vale this year?" Max asked.

"It is!" Joshua answered, understanding what the man was planning.

"Don't tell me he's targeting the students?" Richard questioned.

"The best of the best students will be there, so he will target the most promising ones to turn into Stand Users," Joshua answered.

"If I remember correctly, Beacon is about to start its second semester, so the Vytal tournament is only a few months away." Max pointed out.

"Guess we have time to get to Vale and stop him, then make him give us as much information we need." Richard smiled.

"You're still adamant about coming with?" Max asked.

"Of course," Richard answered.

"So we go to Vale. The only question is…how?" Joshua wondered.

"We can't fly since technically, JoJo and I are still wanted, men." Max murmured.

"So we travel across Anima to the coast and sail the rest of the way. They shouldn't know who you are in a small coastal town." Richard suggested.

"That's a good start, but now we should seek some transport and a "disguise" between here and there," Joshua said.

"I have an idea. There are a bunch of merchants in the city who need an escort between kingdoms and one of the many villages in Anima. Most can't afford any decent escorts, so we offer our services at a low price." Max planned.

"That works," Joshua replied.

"Then it's settled let's go find us, someone, to escort," Richard said as he shuffled his deck the three exited the warehouse.

Two things went unnoticed to the group as they left one being that as Richard shuffled his cards, some seemed to move on their own and even grow slightly. The second thing that was missed as a floating eyeball far above them watching and listening to them.

Elsewhere…

"It seems that they are preparing to go to Vale, sir." A Blindfolded Man reported.

"I see your third eye never fails, Anthony." A Dark Figure replied, hiding in the shadows.

"I'll send some A Brands to intercept them, sir." A man in a lab coat offered.

"No, send Cube Master and Ricochet Riot after them. I wish to test their power, especially of the one named Joshua Joestar." The Dark Figure said.

"Shouldn't you call him by his real name even with his…dyed hair? It's still clear that he's him?" The Lab Coat Man questioned.

"It doesn't matter what he's called now, but his Stand's power was always an odd one." The Dark Figure began.

"Premonition, I feel like there is something more to it than that, and I wish to find out." The Dark Figure explained as the shadows seemed to move around him.

"But what if they make it to Vale after all if they catch his attention they may find out who you are." The Lab Coat Man argued.

"They'll be dead long before then. After all, we have several Stand Users awaiting already in Vale." The Dark Figure replied.

Next Time…Cube Master & Ricochet Riot

Author's Note:

Hope you guys enjoyed the chapter lot of exposition and little battle, but that changes next chapter as we get two Stand Users to fight! So yes, the man Joshua interrogated last chapter is a Speedwagon.

If there is one thing that I wish was in the new universe (AKA Steel Ball Run universe), it would be a Speedwagon because come on who doesn't love that guy. Also, yes, Richard is getting a Stand, but I won't reveal anything about that until it's the right time.

Anyway, I also hope you enjoyed how Joshua got the JoJo nickname. I won't be using that as "JoJo said" because I fell like it would be redundant. Not much to say, so see you guys next time.
