Jamie's P.O.V.
I shouldn't be here. It's time for this adventure to end, but I have no way of leaving without anybot knowing. Even if Megatron seems to disappear for months, planning his next attack, Crosshairs and Drift are warriors and shouldn't be dealing with a broken human. Maybe there's a way they get out of here and no one will know for hours. In time to deactivate the portal. I should have ten minutes before Crosshairs and Drift return. It's the only way to deal with this shit.
Crosshairs' P.O.V.
"... I don't know, Crosshairs," Drift sighs and unlocks the door. He goes right to the back of the room to get Jamie up, "s-she's gone," he says as I put the tray on the coffee table. I have time to make sure he doesn't fall onto the floor. I only text Lightning a red exclamation point. She'll get it.
Lightning's P.O.V.
This is an unusual text from Crosshairs, but it's easy to figure out what he's trying to say.
"Go to their room. I'll alert Prime," Elita-1 insists, "the rest of you look for her. No way we can without the others noticing, but I think most will be alerted."
"... I can't believe how stupid I was," Crosshairs sighs, "he thought she'd be ok. She was during our vacation, but her mental state is worse than two months ago."
Drift had passed out. I rushed over to the room, but still, two minutes is concerning. Crosshairs is getting worried
Drift wakes up as if he was having a nightmare. Scrap, this will not go well.
As I worried, Drift is trying to fight Crosshairs, who's trying to keep him on the bed.
"Let him go," I insist, "we need to find Jamie."
"We have a problem," Sunstreaker says, out of breath, "she got my knife," Sunstreaker says, pointing to his holster.
Jamie didn't get his gun, but this isn't reassuring. Drift rushes out of the room before the rest of us.
Drift's P.O.V.
I should have known never leave her alone. At least have somebot standing in the hallway.
"Out of my way!" I yell as I run down the hall and down the stairs.
Where did you go?
Crosshairs catches up to me as I run down the hall to the archive room. The only room I can think of that no one would go in for a while.
We have to run by the medbay. I'm hoping the medics see us and prepare a syringe with relaxant.
We walk into the room slowly, hoping not to scare Jamie, but this changes as we see what Jamie is about to do. This is scary, one wrong move and one of us gets stabbed.
Crosshairs gets the knife and slid it across the floor. I hug Jamie as she cries.
"Shh, it's ok. I love you."
I kiss her forehead and get Jamie to rest her head on my shoulder.
"You know how much we care about you," Crosshairs adds, "everyone is worried about you."
He always has tissues, which I question if it's good or not. Though he'd probably use gauze from his first-aid kit capsule if he had to.
"Do I need to have Ratchet help?" Sunstreaker whispers from the door.
"No," Crosshairs tells him.
We know Sunstreaker wants to help, but he retrieves his knife and leaves the room, closing the door behind him.
We hate hearing Jamie cry, but it's hard to calm her down.
Once Jamie is quiet, we go back to our room.
The Autobots and soldiers we walk by look at us with worry. I don't think Jamie sees them as I carry her to our room.
Crosshairs' P.O.V.
Drift lies on the bed with Jamie. We know she'll fall asleep, which is good. I suspect there's going to be a meeting about this. I text Lightning to come to watch Jamie.
"This is terrifying," Lightning whispers, "and I thought the feeling that there's not much we can do to help her was bad."
I hug her as we sit on my bed. Sure enough, Optimus texts me there's a meeting in ten minutes.
"Hopefully Jamie is asleep and Drift will be ok with you watching Jamie."
"I know he'll be worried, but he needs to be at the meeting."
It's not like either of us isn't worried about this meeting.
A few minutes pass before we watch Drift cover Jamie with a blanket and sit on the edge of the bed. He's not liking there's a meeting about this though I think he knew this would happen. After what happened, it's understandable to fear what will happen during the meeting. We're breaking rules already letting Jamie stay here, and I fear today shows we need to follow the rules.
"Is there actually an easy way?" Sideswipe asks.
"No, there isn't," Optimus sighs, "I'd rather she stay here, but it's not safe."
"She's still not going to let others be with us," Crosshairs sighs, "and Lily is in school, so this will be a challenge to back and forth even with the ground bridge."
"So now we have to guard her?" Sideswipe asks.
"Bad idea," Hound says and many agree.
"What about me?" Knockout asks, "I want to help."
"I don't know, Knockout," Drift tells him, "everyone here is Jamie's friend and yet she's afraid to be with most."
Sunstreaker tells Knockout how we're still working on Jamie, wanting to spend time with him, his brother, and Lily. It's better than a month ago, but we still can't get Jamie to eat in the cafeteria. Glad he left out how Jamie still doesn't eat much. This still leads everyone to talk about how they hate that this will take time and the worry that we can't help her. The meeting ends with everyone being reminded that Drift and I decide if Jamie will be ok being with anybot. Which we hate, but it's better for Jamie. Knockout might only be a guard in the hallway. He knows it could be a while before he can spend time with Jamie. We hate how complicated this is. I worry nightmares will return for Drift, and having Jamie stay with the femmes, or the twins and Lily isn't an option.
