Japan, Saitama (city)

A five year old boy with short blonde hair parted to the side with a black lightning-shaped streak on the left side of his fringe had gone hiking in a forest with his mother and father. The hike had gone pretty well for the family until suddenly, a grey blob-like monster with six arms and a large mouth appeared out of nowhere and began attacking the family. The blonde haired boy stared in shock at the monster in front of him and his family; he had started to see monsters similar to the creature that was in front of him a few weeks ago around the city and had been terrified of them. He had started to camp out in his room so that he could avoid seeing those monsters. His parents had started to become concerned for him; they tried to get him to tell them what was wrong but he wouldn't say.

After a few weeks they had decided that enough was enough and decided to drag him out of his room and force him to go on a hike with them. The blonde haired boy yelled and screamed at his parents to let him go back to his room, but they didn't listen as they dragged him to their car and drove to the nearest forest. Once the blonde haired boy arrived at the forest, he started to feel a small sense of relief when he saw that the monsters that he had seen a few weeks were nowhere in sight. It was due to this revelation that the blonde haired boy stopped giving his parents a hard time and reluctantly followed them on the hike, genuinely believing that he wouldn't encounter those monsters since they had been so far away from the city.

' I wanna go home, I wanna go home! ,' the blonde haired boy thought frantically.

"W-what the hell is that thing?!," the blonde haired boy's father yelled in fear.

Before the mother could reply, the monster grabbed her with two of its six arms. The blonde haired boy's father's eyes widened in fear as he watched the creature hold onto his wife before quickly turning to his son.

"Run, Denki! Don't let that thing get you!," the boy's father yelled at him.

Without even second-guessing his father's command, Denki ran away from the monster as fast as he could, not daring to look back in fear of seeing it chasing after him. After what felt like hours, Denki ran out of energy and decided to stop running and lean against a tree as he tried to recover his stamina. Before he could fully recover his stamina, Denki felt a cold presence coming from behind him. He reluctantly and fearfully turned around and saw that the monster had managed to catch up with him.

"No, no, no! Stay away from me!," Denki screamed as he tried to run away from the blob-like monster.

Unfortunately, Denki couldn't escape from the monster since he tripped over a tree branch as he tried to run away. The fear that Denki felt was so crippling that he couldn't push himself off the floor and get up off the floor.

"Stop! Get away from me!," Denki yelled while trying to crawl away as the creature approached him. "Help! Help me, please!"

Tears ran down Denki's face as the monster got closer and closer to him. Just as the creature was about to grab onto Denki, someone sliced through its body vertically with a katana, causing it to die and fade away instantly. Denki wiped away his tears and got a good look at the person who had killed the blob-like monster that tried to hurt him. Once his eyesight was no longer blurry, he saw that the person who saved him was a tall and slender man with pale skin and messy, shoulder length black hair with an unkempt beard, and black, tired looking eyes, giving him the appearance of a hobo. The man wore a pair of gold goggles around his neck, a long-sleeved black shirt, matching pants, black boots, and a belt that held his katana's sheath. Once the man made eye contact with Denki, he quickly sheathed with his blade, got close to Denki, and kneeled down in front of him.

"Are you hurt?," the man asked.

Denki answered by shaking his head rapidly, causing the strange man to sigh in relief.

"Were you with anyone?," the man asked.

Denki once again answered wordlessly by nodding his head rapidly.

"Were they your parents?," the man questioned.

Denki nodded more slowly this time while frowning and tearing up.

"I see," the man muttered to himself, seemingly piecing together what might have happened.

The man frowned and seemed genuinely sad at what he just realized, "I'm sorry I didn't get here sooner. I had heard reports of a curse manifesting around here, but I couldn't confirm those reports due to me being on a different mission in Musutafu."

Denki had no idea what the man was talking about, if the confused look on his face was anything to go by.

"Nevermind what I just said. It was illogical of me to bring that up without context," the man assured. "What's your name, kid?"

"D-Denki Kaminari," Denki answered timidly.

"Kaminari, do you have any relatives that you could stay with?," the man asked.

Denki shook his head; he had never met anyone else from either side of his family, so far as he knew, they were dead.

"No one at all?," the man questioned.

The man was once again met with another shake of Denki's head, causing the man to frown and sigh loudly.

"I guess it can't be helped then," the man stated before getting back up and reaching his hand out to Denki so that he could grab Denki's hand and pull him back up.

"My name is Shota Aizawa, and for the time being, I'll be your guardian."

Japan, Kyoto (en route via train)

Sitting down near a window of a train was a sixteen year old Denki Kaminari who wore a light blue tinted pair of visors, a navy blue asymmetrical jacket with a high collar and two gold pins with a swirly design that were located on the left side of the jacket, a short, grey hooded cloak over his jacket, a pair of navy blue pants, an Obi around his waist (1), dark brown shoes, a pair of chains wrapped around his wrists, and had a slim, black suitcase strapped to his back.

Sitting down next to him was a boy around his age who had fluffy dark-green hair that casted shadows onto itself, dark green eyes that were large and circular, four symmetrical freckles on both cheeks that had a diamond shape, and a plain looking face. He wore a similar uniform to Denki except with a few modifications: his uniform had a black mask with rabbit ears attached to the back as well as a black, metal, diamond shaped respirator with eight holes. On top of that, he wore dark green fingerless gloves on his hands as well as red high tops with white soles and black laces on his feet.

Denki had a wide smile on his face as he looked out the window of the train before turning his attention to the green haired teen that was sitting right next to him.

"Man, I can't wait to check out Kyoto!," Denki exclaimed.

"Me neither. From what Mr. Yamada told me about his trip to Kyoto, there are a lot of interesting tourist attractions to check out," the green haired boy replied with a smile on his face.

"That's why I got him to write down a list of interesting places to check out while we're there," Denki revealed.

Denki then pulled out a folded up piece of paper from his pocket, unfolded it, and then handed it to his green haired companion.

"Personally, I think that we should check out Kyoto Tower first," Denki recommended as his friend read the list before handing it back to Denki.

"Sounds like a plan," the green haired boy agreed before getting a little nervous. "Hopefully we get accepted into Kyoto Jujutsu High."

Denki rolled his eyes at his friend, "Come on, Izuku, you worry too much. You're strong enough to take on Grade 1 curses, and I'm strong enough to at least take down Grade 2 curses; we'll definitely get accepted."

Determination replaced the look of worry on Izuku's face as he appeared more confident in his abilities.

"You're right, doubting myself won't get me anywhere," Izuku agreed. "I worked hard to get where I am now, so I won't let that hard work be for nothing. I'll prove to them that I can be a great student for their school, we both will."

"That's the spirit," Denki encouraged with a wide smile on his face.

"By the way Denki, I think you're actually as strong as a Grade 1 sorcerer as well," Izuku stated.

"Huh? Do you really think so?," Denki questioned.

Izuku's eyes lit up as a huge smile on his face appeared, "Absolutely! Your control over your cursed energy is incredible, and the way you incorporated your innate technique into your sword style is so impressive!"

Denki smiled and rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, "Well I wouldn't have even tried that had you not told me."

"Yeah, but the way that you use your innate technique to fight in combination with your sword is, for the most part, different from how I suggested you do it! The way that you can switch from close-range to mid-range to long-range attacks is incredible! Plus, the way you incorporate your Magneto Ball technique in combination with your Blue Blade technique is so fascinating to watch in action, not to mention…"

Izuku continued to mention all the different ways that Denki uses his innate technique in combination with his sword, causing Denki to deadpan.

"Uh, Izuku, you're muttering again," Denki pointed out, causing Izuku to stop and chuckle sheepishly.

"S-sorry about that," Izuku stuttered with a small blush on cheeks.

"It's fine, I know how you get when you talk about cursed techniques. Although, you should really try to control that when you're around other people, otherwise you might accidentally freak out any kids that are around you… again," Denki teased.

"R-right," Izuku agreed sheepishly.

"Now arriving at Kyoto," the train's intercom announced.

Denki and Izuku immediately got up from their seats and grabbed their luggage from the overhead shelves. After they got their things and got off the train, Denki took his phone out of his pocket and opened it up.

"I'll let the school know that we just arrived so that they can pick us up," Denki stated.

Izuku wordlessly nodded in agreement as he and Denki began to leave the train station.

Alright, hey guys, Phoenix here and I hope you enjoyed the first chapter of my new story, "Our Jujutsu Academia". In this story, Izuku and Denki will be the main characters and they will be attending their second year of high school in Kyoto Jujutsu High School. I will not be revealing Izuku or Denki's innate technique until the next chapter, but I can assure you that Izuku's innate technique will not give him superhuman strength like base One For All. I decided to make this story because I find the power system in Jujutsu Kaisen to be very interesting and I like Izuku and Denki. Little by little, I will reveal Izuku and Denki's past and why they are attending Kyoto Jujutsu High School. The next chapter will be called, "Assessment: Begin". Make sure to review, give me your honest criticisms, and follow and favorite if you liked the chapter. Hope you enjoyed, and until next time, later!
