Ratchet's P.O.V.
"RATCHET!" Lily yells as she rushes into the medbay, scaring myself, Jasmine, and Jolt, "something is wrong with Jamie."
Scrap, this isn't good.

I didn't think Lily would take me to the lounge room. Jamie lies on the couch, but the T.V. is off. Jamie is trying to hide from the bright lights. I suspect she was fine when she came in the room but got a headache. Lily wouldn't assume this is serious without further evidence.
"Jamie?" I move the pillow off her head, which she doesn't like. She keeps her eyes closed and puts the pillow back on her head, "Lily, text Crosshairs and Drift that Jamie is in the medbay. Sorry about this Jamie."
Jamie groans as I pick her up.

I lay Jamie on a bed in an in-patient room. I don't think she needs an ICU room. Knowing Jamie's terrible eating habits, I think I know what is going on, but I still need to do a blood test to confirm.

Drift's P.O.V.
Scrap, Crosshairs, and I thought Jamie would be ok while we help Sideswipe with his training class. Jolt tells us Ratchet wants to confirm the problem even though it's obvious. The lights in the room Jamie is in are off. Crosshairs uses his phone's light, putting his phone on the table in front of the bed. I sit on a chair by the bed. Crosshairs moves the other chair by me and sits on the chair.
"You didn't eat all morning?" I ask but get no answer.
Even Crosshairs is concerned. We watch Jamie put a pillow over her head, whimpering.

"This isn't good. I thought she'd be ok. I'm an idiot."
"You couldn't have known," Jolt argues, "not that her eating habits are fine, but she's been doing fine not eating all day. Her body is used to it."
"She's dehydrated," Ratchet says, "and low blood sugar, which with Jamie's terrible eating habits, I suspect this happens daily. It's not severe."
"She'd drink water in the morning," Crosshairs points out, "what the frag happened?"
"Everything else came back normal," Ratchet says, "but you're right, if you know she drank water this morning, then... the only conclusion is she was crying enough to get dehydrated. I'm going to put her on IV fluids, but I want her to drink water. She's dealing with a headache from being dehydrated. Might be a while before she'll want to eat."
"I'm going to see if I can find clues," Crosshairs tells me and leaves the medbay.

Jamie is asleep when I return to the room. No surprise Sunstreaker texted asking if Jamie is ok. I tell him what's going on and that he shouldn't blame himself. I thought he'd ask why he'd be blaming himself, but he argues he should have made sure Jamie was drinking water. Ratchet works carefully to get an IV in.

Crosshairs returns thirty minutes later. Both of us question if what he found out is concerning or an issue just for today. There's no way to figure out if Jamie was crying, but that would certainly add to why she's dehydrated.

Crosshairs' P.O.V.
We'll only have half the puzzle of why Jamie ended up dehydrated. With how Jamie's mental state has been, I understand why Drift thinks Jamie was crying because we left her in our room for two hours, but she could have come to Sideswipe's training class. Sideswipe would have loved having her be part of the demonstration.

Jamie slept for an hour. We thought the beeping showing the infusion finished woke her until we see she's trying to get comfortable again.
"Hold on, let me remove the IV line," Drift tells her.
Once that's done, and Drift gives Jamie pain relief for the headache, we watch Jamie try to get comfortable while feeling dehydrated, dizzy, and cold. Hearing her whimper. Even if she'll be better tomorrow, this hurts knowing she's uncomfortable. We still need to get her to eat and drink water.
"I'll stay here," I tell Drift, "I don't think she'll want to eat, but soup should be easy to get her to eat."
Drift agrees and leaves the room.

Jamie struggles to sleep while feeling cold and dizzy. She's not asleep for long before waking up.
"You need to drink water," I sit Jamie up, as much as she doesn't want to, and give her the water bottle. She doesn't last long before wanting to lie down, "Drift is making soup."
Jamie says nothing, but I don't think she'll eat. Drift won't be back for another hour. She'sis quickly back to sleep.

Drift's P.O.V.
I figured Jamie would still be feeling like scrap, but I'm hoping to avoid putting a nasogastric tube in. I raise the head of the bed, hoping not to cause more discomfort.
"You need to eat. I have soup. Do I need to feed you?" I was hoping she'd smile. I raise the head of the bed and move the table closer. I cannot sit while feeding her. Jamie is already feeling uncomfortable sitting up, "eat a little."
Crosshairs sits on the bed, hoping that holding Jamie up will help a little.

Jamie only lasts ten minutes before wanting to lie down and cries. She's still tired and will be asleep soon. Ratchet wants to do another infusion.
"I'm hoping to let you go back upstairs," he tells her, "but I'm concerned about how dehydrated you are."
He waits for Jamie to get comfortable before connecting the IV line and starting the infusion. Crosshairs and I could do this ourselves in our room, and Ratchet knows this. I'm trying not to worry. We're not in an ICU room, which is a good sign.

The terror twins, Lily and Lightning, come by soon after Jamie is asleep. The four question Ratchet.
"She'll be fine by morning," he tells them.
"No, this is going to happen again," Lily argues.
I'm getting concerned about how much Lily worries about Jamie, but she could be right.
"I didn't say this wouldn't," Ratchet argues, "I hope this doesn't happen again, but with Jamie's current mental state and eating habits," Ratchet sighs.
"This is complicated. As much as we all hate it, we need to take small steps to help Jamie," Rung jumps in, "she was doing much better in January compared to now."
I think that's the best we'll get. Rung thinks it's great, but there's still one problem that'll cause Jamie to cry.
