Optimus Prime's P.O.V.
What Ratchet tells me is concerning, add what Crosshairs found out. We don't have a complete explanation what caused Jamie to be dehydrated, but this is concerning. Jamie won't tell us anything either. A few bots saw the twins panic and are worried.
"There's got to be something we can do," Hound comments.
"I wish there was, but not with Jamie's current mental state. Mirage is already resuming his security duty while working on a case."
"It was a challenge to get her to watch T.V. with us," we hear Sunstreaker, "even though this was the routine before the three of them left. I don't know if she'll be ok with us for a few hours so Crosshairs and Drift can try to relax. Though since we worry about her, I don't think they'll relax."
"I fear the hard truth is we can't help her this time," Hound says.
"This is routine. Which is good and bad," Sunstreaker points out, "but it's been a while since Jamie has been like this, so it's harder watching her like this."
Hound sighs and walks away.
"I know everyone will hate not being able to help, but how long can we keep this secret?" Sunstreaker asks.
"They'd be feeling worse, knowing what Drift and Jamie want, but it will not happen."
Sunstreaker's P.O.V.
I question if Optimus believes our friends cannot get what they want — or if it's delayed. Either way, Optimus is right. Wish he wasn't, and our friends knowing would help Drift and Jamie. I think there's more to Jamie's struggle this time, but there's nothing we can do, so Crosshairs and Drift are choosing not to tell us.
"You want me to sit here?" I ask Drift.
"No, I don't know if she'll be ok," he sighs, "and it's my fault."
"No, it's not, and she doesn't blame you."
I hate not being able to add more. Now's not the time. Drift says nothing about me sitting in the room with him. I'm hoping to get Jamie to do a little art. Glad Lily isn't one of those femmes that get mad when their mech is with other femmes. Though I'm concerned about how worried she is about Jamie.
We wait for a half-hour for Jamie to wake up. She's doing better than this morning. After Drift has her drink water, I ask Jamie if she wants to do a little art. Though we will not be working on a piece together while in the medbay. It's something for her to do until Ratchet lets Jamie go back upstairs. Unless I can get Sideswipe's Nintendo Switch for her.
I didn't think we'd be doing art for two hours.
Jamie is still feeling the effects of being dehydrated, but Ratchet releases her from the medbay. I'd rather we keep the IV in, but I know these can't stay in for long. Changing the catheter every four days will get annoying. Lily is right, though. This is a serious issue, and I'd rather we're prepared for if this happens again.
Drift texts Sideswipe to get McDonald's for dinner. I thought he'd have Jamie eat more soup. The plan is to watch T.V. in the lounge room while eating dinner.
Drift's P.O.V.
I asked Ratchet if McDonald's was ok. Even though the problem is she needs to drink more water. Ratchet is concerned about how hard it is to get Jamie to eat nevermind healthy food. He doesn't think we need to resort to any type of feeding tube yet. This is a problem in general, and not helping with what Jamie wants.
"You have that look like you want to give up," Sunstreaker comments, "I know because I've seen that look countless times with my human targets."
"I don't know, but even if I did, even if I could tell her; this wouldn't help. You know the reason we're not bothering right now. Scrap that's been feeling out of our control. That's been going on for years—."
"It's not like you to give up, no matter what you're dealing with."
"I know, either way, Jamie will cry..."
It's still hard to believe Sunstreaker is ok giving hugs.
"I don't know how much help we'll be, but you know Sideswipe, Lily, and I want to help. Everyone does. it is wise not to tell everyone. They know Jamie is struggling mentally and her terrible eating habits. Though there's not much they can do to help yet. She's better with us."
We end the conversation, seeing the others come into the room. Jamie is still a little sick, but I see her looking at the sodas.
Lily and Sideswipe always want to play video games with Jamie. Jamie is doing better that she won't be looking go back to sleep and wants to play video games with them. At least she ate.
Mirage's P.O.V.
I can't tell Optimus or Rung what I heard, even if this is concerning. Whatever this is can't be a problem if Drift is telling the terror twins and Lily. I'm concerned about Drift's change in attitude. This is likely considered a sign he's getting depressed. I can only hope that Sunstreaker talks to Ratchet. Ratchet would know how to deal with this without revealing that Sunstreaker talked to him. Then there're Crosshairs, who does his best to hide how he's feeling. That's been more concerning until now. All three of them are hurting and it's a question of how to help them. This is a fragging disaster.
