Chapter 7: The Aizawa Household and Electing a Class Representative

Name: Luna

Quirk: Bast – She can assume the abilities of any cat, from regular housecats and lions to hybrids such as ligers and tigons. Her quirk is named after Bast, the Egyptian goddess of cats.

Appearance: Though usually taking on appearances of the cats' abilities, her usual look has been compared as eerily similar to a character of the anime RWBY known as Blake, however she has a tail, and they are complete opposites in terms of personality and choice of dress. She's 14.

As Luna drove to her home, she couldn't help but feel a little restless. She was used to the wind in her hair, the chirping of birds, the talking of people, the exhilaration of running. Sitting in a car, however, kind of felt like cheating. Her legs wanted release, but she couldn't really run in a car, now could she. When she arrived, she sighed and entered, unlocking the door. Aizawa followed her, glancing over the house curiously.

Luna made her way upstairs, entering her room.

"Aizawa-sensei, sorry if my room is not, ah, the best looking." Said Luna, but he waved her off, a frown on his face. He was slightly disappointed that her room was more of a large closet than an actual room. Luna quickly went to work, quickly folding her clothes into her duffel bag. When she got to her undergarments, she paused.

"Well?" asked Aizawa.

"Ah, well, this drawer is where my undergarments are, Aizawa-sensei." Luna said, coloring a little in embarrassment. He understood and turned around, allowing Luna to pack them without being embarrassed. Then, Luna packed her toiletries, and when that was done, she grabbed her laptop charger and earbuds. It was a bit sad, really, that Luna's entire life could be packed into a single duffel bag.

"Aizawa-sensei, would you like to eat before we leave?" she asked.

"No, my wife should have dinner ready by now. She's punctual like that." Was the response. Luna wondered what kind of wife her sensei would have. She just imagined a female version of Aizawa, but she couldn't imagine him wanting to live with another version of himself. Luna just shrugged and went back to the car, locking the door and looking it over one last time before leaving.

Aizawa's car was black, not very tall, but comfortable. It had leather seats and a wood finish for its panel. It was actually a Lexus, but Luna didn't see too many of them here in Japan. Most of the cars she saw were Toyotas and Hondas. Some of the richer citizens had Cadillacs and a BWM or two, but never a Lexus.

Relatively soon, Aizawa pulled up to his house. The house in question was a nice two-story house with a big front yard and a white Toyota already pulled up. The walls were painted a nice shade of cream, not too bright, but not too dark either. The entire house seemed to be laughing, which Luna did not expect. The lights in what Luna assumed was the kitchen were on, and a figure could be seen moving in the window, though Luna couldn't see any details. The figure paused when it saw Aizawa's car pull up and left the window. Luna picked up her duffel bag and nervously followed Aizawa. He pulled out some keys, but the door opened before he could insert them.

To say the woman was a complete opposite of Luna's expectations would be an understatement. The woman was wearing a bright yellow dress, with an apron that said, "Kiss the Cook". Her hair was also brilliantly blond, shining as if gold, and her eyes were full of warmth and laughter. Her eyes were a bright blue and sparked when she saw her husband. They embraced and exchanged a quick kiss before Aizawa turned to Luna.

"Luna, this is my wonderful and obnoxiously bright wife, Ichika. Ichi, this is the student that I was telling you about, Luna." Ichika swatted Aizawa playfully, her eyes laughing with mirth.

"Hello, Ichika-sama. My name is Luna. It is a pleasure to meet you." Lune tried to bow, but Ichika ignored it and wrapped the girl in a hug. Luna stiffened, not expecting it and Ichika released her.

"Oh, my apologies, Luna-chan!" Ichika laughed "I should have asked first. And forget the -sama business, just call me Ichika while you're here! It makes me sound old. I hope you like it here." Luna looked at Aizawa, and, for the first time, she saw amusement in his eyes.

"I hope I am not intruding, Ichika. If you're letting address you without a title, it would be rude of me not to allow you the same thing." Luna said, but Ichika merely shook her head.

"Of course not, dear. Come inside! Aizawa will show you your room while finish up in the kitchen. Azi, be a gentleman and take her duffel bag. Is there more in the car?"

"No, Ichi. That's it. Follow me, Luna." Aizawa turned and entered the house. Aizawa exchanged his shoes for slippers, and Luna fished out her own pair our of her duffel bad before handing it to Aizawa. Luna followed him up the stairs and into the room at the far end of the hallway. Inside wasn't much, just a regular bed, a nice, solid oak desk, a chair, a closet, and another door, which Luna assumed was the bathroom. Luna was amazed by the size of the room, seemingly able to fit two of hers while still having room to spare.

"Sorry if it's bare, Ichi and I didn't know what you would like."

"It's perfect." Breathed Luna.

"I'll let you set everything up, then wash up and come downstairs. Dinner should be ready soon." With that, Aizawa departed. Luna quickly emptied her duffel bag, putting her clothes in the closet as well as her empty duffel bag, which had sliding mirror doors, and set up her laptop on the desk. Luna read on how to charge her helmet, which wasn't hard, and plugged it into an outlet, as well as her laptop charger. Finishing that, Luna quickly washed her hands before heading downstairs into the kitchen. To her surprise, she found Aizawa helping Ichika. He wore a pink apron with rainbows and unicorns on it, which Luna would have laughed at had she not perceived it rude. He gave her a sharp look that said, 'If you tell anyone they'll never find your body'.

"Uh, Aizawa-sensei, Ichika, do you need any help?" asked Luna.

Ichika turned to Luna "Nothing with cooking, it's already done. Could you set the table?" Luna nodded and grabbed the plates, setting them on the table before doing so for the cutlery as well. She waited near the table, unsure where to sit. Luna usually ate alone in her room and brought the dirty plates down, as her father didn't even want to see her. Thankfully, Aizawa told her to sit across from Ichika, while Aizawa sat at the head of the table.

The food that Ichika prepared was Shogayaki and Miso Soup. Shogayaki s basically grilled pork with ginger. Ichika also prepared a side of soy sauce and kale, which Luna found delicious. Miso soup was also relatively simple to make, merely requiring a base of miso broth. The cook could add anything really, from vegetables and seaweed to tofu. The meal was light but fulfilling. When they finished, Luna decided to ask Aizawa for permission to visit Yaomomo.

"Aizawa-sensei?" Luna asked.

"Yes?"

"Yaoyorozu-chan invited me to visit her house. She didn't specify a date, but I was wondering if I would be able to go. I understand if you won't allow it."

"No. It would give your assassins a chance to attack you again, as the distance between our house and Yaoyorozu's house is quite large. The reason you are here is to keep you safe." Luna bowed her head in acceptance, but Ichika wasn't happy with her husband's decision.

"Azi, I think you should let Luna go. According to you Luna doesn't have many friends in her class; it would be good for her."

"Ichi, this isn't a good idea. I didn't bring Luna into the house for relaxation but to ensure her safety. We don't know what could happen." And on they went, continuously getting more heated and angrier as the argued. Luna tried to intervene, but her voice was drowned out. Luna felt terrible, feeling that it was all her fault that they were arguing in the first place.

Ten-year-old Luna cowered under her blankets, pillow held to her ears in an attempt to drown out the angry voices of her parents but was unsuccessful.

"Why did you do it, Bast? What went wrong?"

"I told you, Liam! I won't be able to stay with you forever! I told you that when we first met, and you agreed! What's the big deal?!"

"WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL?!" her father paused "You should have told me, Bast! This argument wouldn't need to be taking place if you just told me! I understand you can't stay with me forever, but how am I supposed to tell Luna now? We could have arranged something, but instead you just went rogue again!"

"I don't have to tell you everything I do Liam!"

"I'm not asking you to! I just wanted a heads up! That's it! We would have parted on good terms, but for whatever reason, you don't want that!"

"Of course I want it, Liam! I expected you to take it better!"

"Take it better?! I found out over the phone that you were sleeping with the Blondy while Luna was there! She saw me erupt and now she's terrified of me! I'm thinking of Luna, Bast! Why aren't you?!"

"Are you suggesting that I don't love Luna?! How can you say that?! I was the one to nurse her when she was sick! I was the one who spent time with her when you were gone for days at a time! I was the one to take her to school and back! I can't stay in one place or with one group of people too long. Liam, you know that!"

Her father roared in anger, shoving what Luna thought was the porcelain cabinet before it crashed. Luna flinched under the covers, shaking in fear.

"FINE! YOU WANT TO LEAVE THAT BAD?! THEN GO! LEAVE! ABANDON YOUR FAMILY AGAIN AND AGAIN FOR ALL I CARE!"

"FINE! I WILL!" Luna heard her mother stomp through the house, opening and slamming the door on her way out. Luna began to sob; she didn't understand what exactly happened, but she understood she would never see her mother again. She left Luna like her father did, except this time, Luna's mother would never come back.

Luna shed silent tears at the memory, the argument around her raging. She stood up, causing both adults to look at her.

"T-Thank you f-for the food. M-May I be excused?" Luna hiccupped, trying not to sob too loudly. Aizawa nodded, frowning at Luna's reaction. He didn't believe she was crying in response to being refused, but he didn't know why she was crying in the first place. Luna took her plates, shoved them in the dishwasher, and fled to her room, slamming the door shut. Ichika and Aizawa sat silently.

"I'll go talk to her." Ichika said, picking up the dirty dishes and putting them in the dishwasher before turning it on. She went to the room and listened to Luna's heartbroken sobs. Ichika's heartstrings pulled at the girl cried and knocked on the door.

"Luna, dear? May I come in?" There was no response from the girl, so Ichika pushed open the door, only to find Luna curled into a ball, sobbing her heart out. Ichika walked over and picked up Luna's head, resting it in her lap as she began to comb through her hair in an effort to calm her down.

"Luna dear, if this is about the visit, you can go." Ichika said, but Luna shook her head, not saying anything.

"M-Mom and Dad f-fought because of m-m-me, and then M-Mom left forever! She left D-Dad and me b-because of me! I d-don't want you t-to leave Aizawa-sensei b-because of me!" Luna stuttered, and Ichika's heart broke. Here was this girl who had to force herself to grow up because her mother left her and her father hated her. Luna was barely a teenager; she shouldn't have to deal with this kind of thing.

"Sweetheart, I won't leave Aizawa because of one little argument. We argue all the time! I'm sure your mother didn't leave because of you." This only caused the girl to cry even harder into the yellow dress.

"Y-You don't understand!" Luna cried.

Luna's insecurities and fears reared their ugly heads, jeering and yelling at her; SHUT UP YOU FOOL! SHUT YOUR TRAP! NOONE CARES ABOUT YOUR LIFE STORY! COUNTLESS OTHERS HAVE IT WORSE THAN YOU! Luna didn't listen to that voice.

"T-The last argument M-Mom and D-Dad before she left w-was because of me! T-they were arguing because of me! I h-heard everything! T-They were yelling at each other b-b-because they were b-both yelling that t-they both didn't l-love me! B-but Mom left! She l-left me alone with D-Dad, and he h-hates me b-because of it! I s-see it in his eyes every t-time he looks at me! Every t-time he drank himself d-drunk, he saw M-Mom! Not me! And he -" Luna broke down. She poured all her emotions into her tears. Ichika just listened, tears of her own sliding down her cheeks. Ichika combed Luna's hair with her hands and sang a lullaby to calm Luna down. Even though Luna was 14, it worked like a charm.

Kitten of Mine, Don't You Cry

Kitten of Mine, Dry Your Eyes

Rest Your Head Close to My Heart

Never to Part, Kitten of Mine

Little One, When You Play

Don't You Mind What They Say

Let Your Eyes Sparkle and Shine

Never a Tear, Kitten of Mine

If They Knew All About You

They'd End Up Loving You, too

All Those Same People Who Scold You

What They'd Give to be Just Like You

Oh, Kitten of Mine, Don't You Cry

Oh, Kitten of Mine, Dry Your Eyes

Oh, Kitten of Mine, Listen to These Words of Mine

As Luna calmed down and began to fall asleep, her thoughts drifted to another memory of hers, except this time, it was a happy one:

Luna, now age 9, had just received news that Princess, her black cat, had died of heart complications at the age of 9. Luna was inconsolable, crying into her pink pillow. Bastinara walked into her room and sighed. She approached the girl and hugged her close, letting Luna sob. Bast sung the exact same song as Ichika, calming the girl. Luna looked up at her mother, who smiled gently.

"Mom?"

"Yes, kitten?"

"Do you think Princess went to a better place?"

"She did, kitten. No matter how good of a life we give them here, their next lives will always be better wherever they go."

"But it's not fair! She had a good life here too!"

"Oh, kitten. Life is not always fair. Unfortunately for us, there's nothing we can do. All we can do is push on and persevere. Like those heroes you see on the television, you have to push forward against the obstacles placed in your life."

"But Dad says to not be like those heroes. He says that you should be as different from them as possible."

Bastinara sighed again "Your father … your father has a skewed glance of heroes, kitten. He only has bad experiences with them. But you listen to me, you hear? No matter what your father says, you have to be as brave and strong as they are, got it?" Luna smiled and nodded.

"Good. Now, how about going to your favorite ice-cream shop, hmm? I want some so bad, how about you?"

"Yes, please!" Bastinara laughed and guided Luna to her car, at which point they drove off.

When Ichika felt that Luna had fallen asleep, she carefully put Luna under the covers, hesitating slightly before kissing the girl's forehead. Ichika always wanted a child of her own with Aizawa, but fate had been cruel to her. She suffered two miscarriages before falling ill to polycystic ovarian syndrome, causing Ichika to become infertile. Now that Luna was here, however, her maternal instincts demanded Ichika to care for Luna like her own daughter. She closed the door behind her quietly before going to the living room, where Aizawa was waiting for her.

"How is she?" Aizawa asked.

"She's asleep now, the poor girl was exhausted." Ichika replied.

"Did you find out why she was so upset, by any chance?"

Ichika nodded "She was worried that we would split up because of our argument. She felt terrible that we were arguing over her." Aizawa frowned, but Ichika wasn't finished "Luna said her parents' final argument was surrounding her. After that, her mother left. Azi, Luna implied a few things … How bad was her home life?"

Aizawa shook his head "I searched around, and Toshinori was able to help. He didn't say everything, nor do I know her full story, but …"

"But?"

"It was bad, Ichi. Really bad. When he confronted Luna, she didn't say anything, but pointed him to a woman who basically acted as Luna's family. Though she too only heard rumors, her son told her many times that Luna would come to school in bruises and with broken bones. A few times she had to be hospitalized due to the severity of her injuries. Toshinori said that he heard rumors of the man's drunken rages." Ichika began to shake. "There are also some other rumors about the man. Rumors that Toshinori wasn't able to confirm nor deny. Rumors that the man is now serving villains in an effort to bring down heroes. These rumors are still unconfirmed, however, so try to take them with a grain of salt."

"How is he still allowed to roam, Azi? How is he still able to walk free? That poor girl, left to the mercy of the man who doesn't deserve to call himself her father!" Ichika spat.

"Unfortunately, there's no way to prove it. Luna already showed that she wasn't willing to speak out against him. She's the only witness. Until she can break herself free from his grasp, he won't be punished."

"But surely the neighbors heard something? Or a passerby? Anyone?"

"Toshinori checked. Nobody." Ichika took several deep breaths, calming herself.

"Azi, do you trust me?" Aizawa looked at her warily but nodded his head "I think I know a way we can help her."

"How?"

"We become her new family." Ichika's statement was met with stunned silence. "Think about it; if we become her new family, we can free her from that awful man's grasp, and she can build up the confidence to stand up to him."

"Ichi, I -"

"You want the best for your students, right?"

"Well, of course."

"If we do this, Luna could improve; not just mentally, but physically. She could become stronger by rejecting her past!"

"Ichi. Your plan sounds … interesting. It could work. However, I want you to know that I will only support it if Luna agrees. If she does, then I will too. If she doesn't, then I won't. I don't want to force her into something she doesn't want." Ichika nodded her head happily, throwing her arms around her husband. Aizawa gave an uncharacteristic chuckle and embraced his wife. Trust her to come up with something so crazy. They went to bad a little later.

The next morning

Luna awoke. She panicked when she didn't recognize her surroundings, but relaxed when she remembered yesterday's events. She got up and went to her bathroom. HER bathroom. Not a shared bathroom, but her own, personal bathroom; Luna was still shocked at the generosity of her teacher and his wife. She took a nice, relaxed shower. After she got out, she quickly dressed in her school uniform and packed her bag before heading downstairs. She searched the fridge to see what she could find and breathed a sigh of relief when she found milk, while she found cereal on the top. Luna also found apple juice but shrugged. It was better than nothing.

Luna began to eat, taking in her surroundings. The house was filled with decorations and paintings. A shelf in the corner of the living room held a bunch of pictures of the couple as well as many relics of their past. Luna smiled at the display. Even though she thought her sensei as cold and indifferent, the truth was that underneath his exterior was a warm and kind individual, though Aizawa would probably knock her teeth out if she suggested the idea to him. As she ate, Ichika walked down the stairs, rubbing her eyes, and yawning greatly.

"I apologize if I woke you up, Ichika." Said Luna, who caused the woman to flinch as she never even noticed Luna eating.

"No, it's fine Luna. I woke up on my own accord. Azi will never admit it, but he snores." Ichika giggled "What are you doing down so early, anyways? There's still a good bit of time before your classes are supposed to start."

"Well, I made myself breakfast; I hope you don't mind too much. After that, I was going to go to school."

"By yourself?"

"Well, yes. That's how I normally go."

Ichika scowled but quickly recomposed herself. "Did I anger you, Ichika? I'm sorry."

"Oh, Luna dear, no you didn't. I was just thinking about some things. Anyways, you don't have to wake up so early and leave by yourself. Azi can just take you."

Luna slightly widened her eyes "I won't bother him?"

"Why would you?" Luna was about to answer, but paused, flattening her ears, and looking away. Instead, she redirected Ichika, which the woman noticed.

"Thank you for yesterday, Ichika. I … I apologize for yesterday's … outburst. It was childish and unbecoming of me." Ichika decided to roll with it.

"Luna." Ichika gently grasped the girl's chin, forcing her to look at the woman "You're a 14-year-old girl. I'm surprised you're so stoic and strong."

"I had to be, in order to survive." Those words sent a chill down Ichika's spine, but she forced a smile in her face.

"Why don't you get some sleep? You have an hour before I have to prod Azi out of bed." Luna gave the woman a weak smile.

"Unfortunately, I can't. I just never seem to fall asleep after waking up in the morning."

"Oh. Okay then. Want to help me in the kitchen then?" Luna nodded, and spent the next hour preparing Aizawa's breakfast, Luna's lunch, and food for Ichika as well. By the time they finished, it was time for Ichika to wake her husband. Luna sat on a couch in the living room, with her backpack and helmet waiting. Aizawa stomped downstairs, grumbling something about mornings. Luna smiled. He grunted when he saw her.

"You ready?" Aizawa asked.

"Yes, Aizawa-sensei." Aizawa grabbed her backpack and they sat in the car.

"Luna." Aizawa said as they took off.

"Yes, Aizawa-sensei?"

"I thought about your request yesterday. I decided that you can go."

"I-I can, Sensei?"

"Yes. However, I won't be able to take you, and I won't allow you to go alone. Yaoyorozu will have to take you."

"Thank you, Aizawa-sensei."

After about five minutes, they arrived at school, with Luna going forward while Aizawa parked in his spot. When she went up to the gates of U.A., however, she was instantly flocked by a horde of news reporters, shoving their microphones in her face, and asking her questions. She saw Midoriya in the same position a few feet away.

"How are classes with the Symbol of Peace?"

"How are your other classes with other pro heroes such as Present Mic?"

"How do you deal with people calling you a cat-girl?"

Luna felt overwhelmed, flattening her ears, and trying to back away. However, the crowd didn't allow it. She began to panic slightly before a familiar figure pushed through.

"Give her space. She doesn't like crowds and nosy reporters." To Luna's utter surprise, it was Todoroki who pushed through the crowd. "Now, we need to get to class. Move." He grabbed her by the arm and pulled her through the crows with a faint blush on her face.

Wait, why am I blushing? STOP!

They both managed to get into the school after many minutes of struggle.

"Thank you, Todoroki-kun." Luna said.

He waved it off "No problem. I just felt bad when I saw how lost you were." They both arrived at their homeroom and sat down, with Aizawa walking in a few moments later.

"Good work on yesterday's combat training. I saw the video and results. Bakugo, you're talented, so don't act like a kid." Luna tilted her head slightly. There was a definite difference in how Aizawa acted at home and outside it, but Luna shrugged.

"I know." Bakugo muttered.

"And Midoriya. You settled it by breaking your arm again, huh? You can't keep saying you can't help it because you can't control your Quirk. I don't like saying the same thing over and over. As long as you fix the control issue, there's a lot you'll be able to do. Feel a sense of urgency, Midoriya."

"Yes, Aizawa-sensei!" As Luna looked at Midoriya, who had a new fire lit in his eye. Luna smiled.

"Todoroki, Luna. Your battle was good. You two need to work on your stamina, and you'll go far. And Todoroki. I think you know what else you need to do."

Todoroki stiffened but nodded. Luna answered for the both of them.

"Thank you, Aizawa-sensei. I can promise I will continue to work hard, and I believe Todoroki-kun thinks the same." Aizawa continued to give pointers to the rest of the class.

"Now let's get down to homeroom business. Sorry about the late notice, but today, I'll have you decide on a class representative."

"It's actually a normal school activity!" Most of the class breathed in unison.

"I want to be class rep! Pick me!" Kirishima yelled, waving his arms.

"Me too!" added Kaminari.

"I want to do it, too." Kyoka raised her hand.

"It was a job made for m-" began Aoyama, but Ashido interrupted.

"I'll be the leader!"

The entire class erupted with students wanting to be class representative. Luna shrunk in her seat, clutching her poor ears. Todoroki looked bored, and Tokoyami sighed in annoyance. Yaoyorozu merely sat calmly, while Midoriya grew nervous, flicking his eyes at everyone who spoke.

"Silence, please!" shouted Iida. "It is a job with the serious responsibility of leading others. It is not a job just for anyone who wants to do it. It is a calling that requires the trust of those around you. If we want to use democracy to decide on a true leader, then we should hold an election to choose one."

"Why did you suggest that?"

"We haven't known each other for that long, so how can we trust anyone?"

"If that's the case and everyone votes for themselves …"

"Don't you think that is precisely why whoever receives multiple votes here can be truly considered the most suitable person? What do you think, Aizawa-sensei?" Aizawa, meanwhile, was already in his sleeping bag.

"I don't care, as long as you decide before homeroom is over." His bag fell over, and Luna laughed silently.

The entire class then voted for their desired representatives, and Luna decided to vote for Yaomomo. She wasn't as impatient or brash as Iida but was still smart and brilliant.

The results came in, and Luna was wholeheartedly surprised. Midoriya came in first with four votes, and Yaoyorozu came in second with three votes to her name.

"I got four votes?!" exclaimed Midoriya.

"Why Deku?! Who voted for him?!" Bakugo exclaimed. Luna had an unnaturally large urge to retort, but she held it inside her. Despite her grudge against Bakugo, she still wanted to be polite, even if Luna really didn't want to. Thankfully, Sero spoke for Luna.

"Well, it's better than voting for you."

"Then, the class rep is Midoriya, and the deputy rep is Yaoyorozu." Aizawa was still in a sitting position, and he looked like a caterpillar. Luna had a primal urge to begin smacking the bag around with her hands, but that was a sure way to end up dead, so Luna just smiled at him. He gave Luna an unimpressed stare, as if knowing what she was thinking about.

The class began to murmur amongst themselves, talking about the fact that Midoriya wasn't the worst choice. Midoriya looked at Luna, still quaking in his shoes. Luna gave him a supporting smile, with her eyes flashing in meaning.

Congratulations, Midoriya-kun. You deserve it.

Midoriya gave Luna a smile in return, standing a little straighter.

The rest of Luna's classes went by smoothly, with Luna catching Yaoyorozu and Jiro before they entered the cafeteria.

"Yaomomo. Jiro-chan." said Luna, and they both turned to her.

"Luna-chan. Hello." Greeted Yaoyorozu.

"About your invitation; my guardian agreed to let me visit your house."

"That's great, Luna-chan! You and I will be able to visit Yaomomo!" said Jiro happily, but Yaoyorozu saw that Luna was hesitating.

"What's wrong, Luna-chan?"

"My guardian won't be able to take me, but he doesn't want me to go by myself. I was wondering … Would it be possible if I went to your house with you? My guardian will be able to pick me up afterwards."

"Of course, Luna-chan. Jiro-chan was going to come with me anyways; the more the merrier!" Luna breathed a sigh of relief.

"Thank you. Have a good lunch, Yaomomo and Jiro-chan." They waved and walked away to the lunch line. Luna hesitated, wondering where to sit, before she saw Tokoyami sitting alone. She walked up to him.

"Tokoyami-kun, may I sit here?" He nodded, his mouth full of rice. Luna sat down and they ate in comfortable silence. When they finished, they began to converse, waiting for the bell to ring to send them back to their class.

"Luna-chan, I'm curious; who did you vote for?"

"I voted for Yaoyorozu-chan. I believed she had everything Iida-kun had, except she wasn't as impatient. I don't want to keep saying ill of Iida-kun; he's one of the most mature people I have met."

Tokoyami nodded his head "Yes. I voted for her too. She seemed like she was made for that position. Her, and Iida-kun, but he's a bit too brash and loud for my tastes." Luna nodded her head, remembering all the times Iida yelled when he could have just spoke normally. Luna let out an amused and exasperated huff. Just as Luna was about to continue, alarms began to ring throughout the school.

"There had been a Level 3 security breach. All students please evacuate outdoors promptly." Students began to panic and flee, yelling and screaming in fear. The alarm, meanwhile, was repeating itself.

"Level 3?" asked Luna.

"It means an intruder has gotten into the school. Though you have to wonder regarding the logic of such a thing; they would be surrounded by pro heroes, but also by all the students. The third-year students would be able to put up quite a fight." Tokoyami explained.

"Ah." Luna merely said "Well, that's quite the crowd. I think I'm going to wait it out or jump out a window if I have to. No way am I going in there."

"The likelihood of being trampled under the students would be quite high, and it would be obnoxiously loud, wouldn't it?" agreed Tokoyami. Luna looked out the window and paused, with Tokoyami following her gaze.

"The press?" Tokoyami snorted incredulously.

"They have quite the nerve, busting in here. They could be arrested for that." Luna's tail began to flick to and fro. Because of their dumb insistence of asking for All Might, Luna's lunch was ruined. Luna decided that she would rather be an underground hero like her homeroom teacher than All Might. The press wasn't worth the extra money.

Suddenly, she saw Iida float upward and begin flipping midair towards the cafeteria exit before slamming into the wall. Tokoyami and Luna both winced at the impact. That was sure to hurt.

"EVERYONE! EVERYTHING'S FINE!" Iida roared. The jostling crowd of students paused. "It's just the media! There is nothing to panic about. Everything's fine! This is U.A. Let us act in a way befitting the best of the best!" The crowd began to murmur and sigh in relief while Luna and Tokoyami just sat on their lunch table.

"Would you look at that; Iida-kun managed to calm them down." Remarked Luna. Tokoyami hummed in response.

"I'm just thankful the room's a lot quieter." Luna laughed. The students made their way back to classroom 1-A. She sat down, seeing Midoriya shaking a leaf next to Yaoyorozu, who looked slightly annoyed.

"N-Now, let's decide the other class officers … But first, can I say something? I think … I think Tenya Iida should be the class rep after all! He was able to get everyone's attention in such a cool way. I think it would be best for Iida-kun to do it."

The class began to chime in, supporting the decision. Iida began to shake in happiness and smiled. His jaw was dropped, and small tears of happiness filled his eyes. Luna didn't think it would affect Iida so strongly but was happy for the boy. He seemed like he deserved it, and if Midoriya said he did, then Luna believed it too.

"You're wasting time." Aizawa grouched "I don't care what you do but hurry up and do it."

Iida stood up "If the class rep has nominated me, then it cannot be helped. From this day forth, I, Tenya Iida, promise to do my best to carry out the duties of class representative!"

Everyone looked pretty happy except for Yaoyorozu, who looked out of it.

"Anyways, for today's hero basic training, it's turned into a class with three instructors: All Might, me, and one more person." Aizawa began, only for Sero to interrupt.

"Excuse me! What will be doing?" Aizawa brandished a card that read 'RESCUE' in bright blue letters.

"Shipwrecks, disasters, and everything in between. It's rescue training." The class began to murmur, much to the annoyance of Aizawa "Hey, I'm not done. You can decide whether to wear your costume or not. Because there are probably costumes that limit your abilities, too. The class will be taking place off campus, so we're taking the bus. That is all. Get ready." Aizawa pressed a remote, and the lockers for their hero costumes. Luna decided there really wasn't any way her costume negatively affected her capabilities, so she took it. So did most of the class.

When Luna went out front of the school, she noticed that Midoriya was wearing his P.E. clothes, probably because his costume was being repaired. Suddenly, Iida blew a whistle to get the attention of the class. Right in Luna's right ear. She flinched away from him, holding her poor ear.

"Oh, sorry Luna-chan. Class 1-A, gather 'round! Form two lines by your student numbers in order to make boarding the bus go smoothly!" Luna realized she would be sitting with Todoroki, as she was 15 and Todoroki was 16. At least it wasn't with anyone like Iida or Ashido, who would likely make her ears bleed with their constant shouting and yelling.

When everyone boarded, they found out that the bus did not have regular seats, but two massive ones that faced each other, which basically made Iida's plans useless. Again, it was no problem because she sat between Todoroki and Tokoyami, arguably two of the quietest students in the class. Most of the class sat wherever they wanted, so she sat across from Midoriya, who was flanked by Asui and Sato. Luna's musings were interrupted by Asui.

"Midoriya-kun?"

"Um, yes, Asui-chan?"

"Call me 'Tsu'."

"R-right …"

"Your Quirk is like All Might-sensei's."

"H-Huh?! You think so? But I'm … uh …"

"Wait a sec, Tsu, All Might-sensei doesn't get hurt when he uses his Quirk. They just kind of look the same." Midoriya sighed a breath of relief, which was noticed by Luna. Interesting. "But it's nice to have a simple augmenting-type Quirk. You can do lots of flashy stuff! My Hardening's strong against others, but unfortunately, it doesn't look like much."

"I think it's really cool!" interjected Midoriya "It's a Quirk that can definitely pass as a pro's!"

"A pro's, huh? But you have to think about popularity as a hero, too, you know."

"Not necessarily." Said Luna "I mean, there are plenty of 'underground' heroes, and they do well for themselves. Like Aizawa-sensei."

"My Naval-Laser is pro-level in both flashiness and strength." Said Aoyama.

"But it's not great that it gives you stomachaches." Said Ashido.

"Well, if you're talking about flashiness and strength, it's gotta be about Todoroki-kun, Bakugo-kun, and Luna-chan, though, huh?" Luna smiled slightly at the praise. Bakugo just grunted a thanks, and Todoroki was asleep.

"Bakugo's always mad, so he doesn't seem like he'll get popular, though." Remarked Tsu, much to the anger of Bakugo.

"What'd you say?! You want to fight?!" he said angrily.

"See?"

"We haven't known each other for that long, so it's already amazing that everyone already knows his personality is crap steeped in sewage." Bakugo whirled on Kaminari, but Luna beat him to the punch.

"Kaminari-kun, that's not a very nice things to say. Bakugo-kun may not have the easiest personality to get along with, but he has many good qualities to him, such as loyalty and compassion. However, I don't think he'd admit to that." Everyone, including Bakugo, looked at Luna in surprise.

"I don't need your help, Luna! I can stick up for myself, not like useless over here!" he gestured at Midoriya, who looked slightly hurt at the remark.

"We're here. Stop messing around." Aizawa said, and everyone quieted down. When they filed outside, they were met with a person in a costumes that slightly reminded Luna of a mix between an astronaut suit and a blimp.

"Everyone, I have been waiting for you."

"It's the Space Hero, Thirteen! The gentlemanly hero who has rescued tons of people from disasters."

"I would recommend you change your adjectives, Midoriya-kun, considering Thirteen is female."

"How do you know, Luna-chan?"

"I just do." Thirteen chuckled at the antics of the class.

"Oh, I love Thirteen!" Uraraka shouted excitedly.

"Let's go inside without delay. Look forward to working with you!"

When Class 1-A entered the dome, they glanced around, amazed at the inside of the building. Luna's eyes widened slightly as she took in the sight. The dome was split off into different sections. An areas was on fire; another was a lagoon with a cruise ship in the middle. Yet another rumbled constantly, sending rocks and debris falling.

"USJ is a training ground that I made with different types of accidents and disasters. It's officially called the 'Unforeseen Circumstance Joint', but USJ is shorter and easier to remember." Thirteen spread her arms in pride. Aizawa, however, was not impressed, likely having seen the place many times.

"Thirteen, where's All Might-san. He was supposed to meet us here."

"About that …" Thirteen whispered to Aizawa, preventing everyone except Luna from overhearing "It looks like he did too much hero work on his way to work and ran out of time, so he's resting in the lounge."

"That's the height of irrationality. It can't be helped. Shall we begin?" Aizawa said.

Thirteen spread her arms again "Lets see … before we begin, let me say one thing … er, two things … or three … Everyone, I am sure you are aware of my Quirk, Black Hole. I can suck up anything and turn it into dust."

"You've been able to use that Quirk to save people from all kinds of disasters, right?" asked Midoriya, with Uraraka eagerly bobbing her head.

"Yes, but it is a power that can easily kill. Some of you have Quirks like that, right? In a superhuman society, personal Quirks have been certified and stringently regulated, so that doesn't seem to be a problem at first glance. However, please do not forget that there are many Quirks that can easily kill with one wrong step. With Aizawa-kun's physical fitness test, you found out about the possibility of your own hidden powers, and with All Might-kun's person-to-person combat training, I think you experienced the danger of using those powers against others. This class is a fresh start. You shall learn how to use your Quirks to save people's lives. You do not have powers so you can harm others. I hope you leave here with the understanding that you have powers in order to help others. Thank you for listening!"

As the class applauded, a power outage occurred that lasted only a second. Luna then noticed that a portal appeared in the center of USJ, where many different people exited from.

"Uh, excuse me Thirteen-sensei, but is that portal and are those people supposed to be there?" Luna asked, and Thirteen and Aizawa turned in the direction that Luna pointed in. Aizawa's eyes widened when he saw.

"Gather together and don't move! Thirteen, protect the students!" barked Aizawa.

"What's that?" asked Kirishima.

"Villains. That's what that is, Kirishima-kun. This is an attack on USJ by villains." Hissed Luna, eyes thinning into slits as she took in the number of villains that exited the portal.

Hello my dear readers! I wanted to upload this chapter early and wish everyone a Happy New Year! I hope you guys remain safe, happy, and warm in 2022, when we hopefully can completely shake of Covid and stuff! I probably won't upload anything tomorrow (or the 1st, for those who are already in 2022). The lullaby I used in today's chapter is a modified version of Baby Mine, from Disney's Dumbo. I don't know about any of you, but that song always brings tears to my eyes when I see the movie. The amount of pain that Dumbo's mom was in while comforting her child is heartbreaking. Thank you for making my dreams come true this year, and Happy Holidays! – Bananaman out!

Disclaimer: I don't own Baby Mine. That song belongs to Disney.
