AUTHOR'S NOTE: I actually went to watch it twice in cinemas and bought the Blu-ray the day it hit the shelves…in fact they were still stocking the shelves. Yet I still couldn't help but think it didn't reach its full potential. There was a way to make fresh the old Arthurian legends in a way that excited and I kind of felt the movie could lean more to a Demon's Souls kind of visual world-building. Another thing was the characters, their names and roles I felt were mismatched.

In my iteration of that film, I picture a blend between a Souls-esque aesthetic like Demon's Souls, or Dark Souls, and Mortal Shell, Dragon Age and the old Excalibur movie especially the armour and other wardrobe. I picture the armour designs from Demon's Souls and Mortal Shell, full plated and badass, a little unrealistic but awesome. For the villain bad guys I had them in a sort of Roman armour, I pictured Ryse: Son of Rome but with pants. The Mages use magic like Dragon Age with the martial arts style stuff.

Most of the cast I feel fit the characters so I changed little, maybe added and substituted others. And you read correctly, I cast Henry Cavill as Merlin. Superman himself. I heard he tried out for the role of Arthur but lost to Charlie, if I were WB in order to mend fences with him I'd have kept him for others, Merlin gets top billing for me.
