Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Getting Freaky on a Friday Night
Prologue
Tuesday, 06/15/20XX
I was in the living room playing Twisted Wizard 4.
I had just finished playing all 30 levels of the game and I've never been happier in my entire life. I was about to continue playing when Mom came in and told me to turn it off because she doesn't want me to spend the rest of my summer playing video games all day.
She then told me to go outside because I've been cooped up in the house for the last couple of days. But I told her that I don't want to because if I go outside, my skin will get burned and wrinkly and I'll end up looking like her. Mom of course, didn't want to hear any of that.
She told me that the least I can do to spend my summer vacation is do an activity. But I told her that I was doing an activity and that is playing my video game. But, she didn't want to hear it and told me to turn off my system. So, I decided to go to Rowley's house and play my video game there.
I went out the door and walked up the hill, all the way to Rowley's house. I hated walking up the hill because everytime I go up there, I would have to get past Fregley's house because he would always does some weird stuff in the front of his yard. And speak of the devil, there he was. Standing in front of his yard. As usual.
"Hey Greg." said Fregley. I tried my best to ignore him. But he still continued to talk to me while I was going up the hill. "Hey Greg. You wanna see my second secret freckle?" said Fregley. But like I said before, I tried my best to ignore him.
After getting passed Fregley, I made it to Rowley's house. I knocked on the door, but there was no answer. I knocked again, still no answer.
"What the heck?" I said in confusion. I tried knocking the door a few more times, and still no response.
"Hello? Rowley? Are you there?" I called out, a bit worried. Why isn't Rowley answering the door. He always answers the door whenever I come over. It's not like he went to some other place without telling m-...
Hold on a minute! I remembered now! Rowley told me that he and his parents are going to Paris for their Summer Vacation and that he won't be back until the 4th of July. I can't believe I had forgotten about that. I'm such an idiot!
I came all this way to his house for nothing. Darn.
Welp, I guess there's nothing for me to do but just go back home and...
Wait. What was that? I heard a noise.

BOOM*
Holy Moly!?!?!? What the heck was that!?!?!? It sounded like it came from where my house is! I better go check it out!
