My New Life in Equestria

Chapter 18.

"Where am I?" I said, rubbing my head.

"Ghost? Where are we?"

"Ghost? Where are you?" I thought, beginning to panic.

I look down at my hands and find they have transformed into hooves.

"Wha- what is this?! What is going on?!" I said louder.

I can hear rapid footsteps approaching the room I am in, as well as a voice calling out to me.

"Mex? Are you okay hon?! What happened?!" The voice said as the door bursts open.

In front of me is an orange horse with an old fashion cowboy hat. As well as another much smaller horse with a red ribbon in her mane.

"Mex? What happened? What was that light?" The little one said.

The intense confusion in regards to where I am was overwhelming, I was just on a mission with Kai and Demi, hunting down Pholmo when she- Oh no.

She killed Ghost! I remember! Am I dead?

My thoughts are interrupted by the bigger horse walking up to me.

"Hon? Are you okay?" She said.

"S-stay back!" I said with urgency.

Now that I am looking at them, they are more like ponies than horses. The older pony stopped in her tracks and displayed a level of confusion that confused me.

"W-where am I? Who are you?" I said.

The older pony glanced at the younger one who glanced back at her with the same confused face.

"Mex? What's going on? Are you okay?" The younger pony said while approaching me.

Instinct kicked in and I dove through the window to escape, landing on the ground outside mostly fine, I struggled to run on all fours but figured it out quickly, I ran for my life from the strange talking equines that, just most everything else that I have discovered, wants to kill me. Why would they be any different?

"Mex! Wait!" I heard one of them call out from the window.

But I did not stop, I kept running as fast as I could into a nearby forest to escape. I tried calling on the Light and could still feel it in my body.

"Yes! I still have it!" I said aloud while running.

Before long, I ran out of breath and found a tree to rest under. The gravity of the situation has begun to set in.

"Come on Mex, stay calm and examine the situation," I said to myself.

I tried to activate several of my abilities but found that I did not have enough Light to use them.

"Argh! What is the point of having the Light if I can't use it?!" I said, frustrated aloud.

Just then, the top of my head vibrated, I looked up and saw a horn glowing, it shocked me so much that I stumbled backwards, and the glowing stopped. Immediately afterwards, a stick tumbled to the ground as well.

"W-what was that? Is this a new power?" I said.

For the next fifteen minutes, I practised with this new skill, somehow, it felt natural to me, but I could not explain it. I then tried substituting my missing Light with this new power and the results were... "explosive" shall I say?

"Wow, okay, guess I can still fight if I need to," I said.

I stand up and dust myself off before sighing.

"I need to find a communications relay or, preferably a tower." I thought to myself.

"But without any of my tech, how am I supposed to find one?" I followed up with.

My thoughts were interrupted by the sounds of galloping hooves getting closer at a rapid pace.

"Time to go," I thought, before running off in the opposite direction.

Twilight knocks on the front door of the farmhouse with Spike by her side. Applejack and Apple Bloom quickly rush to the door.

"Twilight! Oh! Can you help us?!" Apple Bloom said in a heavy panic.

"Oh? What is wrong?" Twilight said confused.

"It's Mex Twilight, I think something's happened to him," Applejack said.

The Apple siblings caught everypony up with what happened, from the massive flash of light to Mex's strange behaviour.

"Well, that's why we came out here in the first place, there are several reports of a giant pillar of light coming from Sweet Apple Acres," Twilight said.

Spike's eyes narrow, as if he is thinking of something.

"Would you mind if I checked Mex's bedroom for something?" Spike said.

"Why Spike? You know what happened?" Apple Bloom said.

"Well, no, but Mex checked out a book yesterday, and I was just wondering if-" Spike said but was interrupted by a sharp gasp from Twilight.

"Where is Mex's room?" Twilight said in a bit of a panic.

The Apple siblings led Twilight and Spike to Mex's room where they began to search.

"Here it is! The book Mex checked out!" Spike said, pulling a book out from under his bed.

Twilight picked it up in her magic and began flicking through it.

"Oh no," she said.

Mex has rediscovered his wings and is now flying above the forest.

"Why does this feel so natural to do?" Mex thought to himself.

"Why am I here? Who were those ponies? How did they know my name?!" He said aloud. Frustrated at his situation.

After a short while of flying, I spot a city in the distance, right on the cliffside, it looks pristine and very regal.

"Hopefully I can blend in with the locals and not draw any attention," I think to myself as I land.

Seconds after landing, a stallion with a light brown coat wearing a tie with a bolt symbol on it approached me in excitement.

"Oh, hello Mex! Fancy seeing you here in Canterlot, what brings you here?" The stallion said.

Next to him, stands a young filly with a light pink coat, wearing a small silver tiara.

"U-uh," I stumble.

"What is the matter Mex? Cat got your tongue?" The little pink filly said with a giggle.

Before I could respond, a guard spots me and begins walking over, my eyes go wide.

"Mex, there you are, come with me please," The guard said.

My survival instincts kicked in like they usually do when I am surrounded. I quickly glance around and notice another guard approaching, the brown-coated stallion has begun asking the guard what is going on, and the pink filly looks at me with a slightly concerned look on her face.

"Mex?" The guard said.

I took off into the sky and flew as fast as I could in a random direction, I found a building and hid behind it.

"Mex! Wait!" The guard called out after the young alicorn.

"Daddy? What is going on?" Diamond Tiara said, concern clear in her voice.

"That's a good question," Filthy said.

"Guard? What is happening? We are acquaintances of that colt, is he in some kind of trouble?" Filthy followed up with.

"Huh? No, of course not, we have been instructed by Princess Celestia to bring Mex to see her every time he visits Canterlot," The guard replies.

"Strange, very strange," Filthy said.

"Spike, send a letter to the Princess and update her on the situation, Applejack, please gather as many of our friends as you can and start searching Ponyville," Twilight said.

"Gotcha," Applejack said.

"W-what about me?" Apple Bloom said.

"Stay here in case he comes back, I promise we'll come and get cha if there's news, okay?" Applejack said.

Apple Bloom nodded.

"Okay," she said.

"I'll have to get out of here, too many of the locals know me, so I should- wait, maybe they can help me fill in the blanks as to how I ended up here," I said to myself.

I slowly make my way out to the street, where I shyly approach a pony selling newspapers.

"E-excuse me?" I say.

"Hello! Would you like to buy the-" The news pony said before stopping.

"Oh! Y-you're Mex! The mystery that is taking Equestria by storm!" The Pony said.

"M-mystery?" I said, confused.

"Yeah! Of course! The very first alicorn colt ever in the history of Equestria!" The News Pony said.

"Equestria? I-is that where we are?" I said, sounding casual.

"Uh, well no, the city is Canterlot but, shouldn't you know that already? You have been here before; you have even met the princesses!" The News Pony said.

"Oh, uh-" I said before I noticed a guard walking our way.

"Thanks for the chat, gotta run," I said before I walked off in the opposite direction.

The News Pony looked very confused but resumed selling papers.

"I have been here before? How? The last thing I remember was fighting Pholmo and then waking up in front of those ponies in the house," I thought to myself.

My thinking pattern was interrupted when I walked face-first into a patrol of guards.

"Oh Vex milk!" I cursed to myself as I readied myself to run again.

"Oh, hello Mex, we'll take you to the Princess, follow us," The guard said.

I stopped myself from running.

"That pony said I had met the Princess before, so maybe she'll be of help," I thought to myself.

"O-okay," I said.

I followed the guard up to the castle, taking extra care to make sure this was not a trap. After ten minutes, we arrived at the primary chamber, where the throne usually is. This is it.

The door opens to the throne room and I am led inside.

On the throne, I see the most mystifying pony I have ever seen. Before I can fully take it in, she spoke to me.

"Ah Mex, back for some more research huh?" The Princess said.

It took me a few moments to shake myself awake from the sheer awe I was in.

"Y-yeah," I said.

The Princess smiled and motioned for me to go.

The guard had already started guiding me out and so I just went with it, not a great idea to bother a princess anyway.

As I was being led away, a scroll materialised out of ash in front of the princess who started reading it straight away.

"Mex! Wait there!" The princess called out.

Once again, my survival instincts kicked in and I started to bolt. I was not used to the hooves yet as I was caught straight away by the guard directly to my left.

"No! Let me go!" I shouted. While thrashing around.

The Princess stood up and flew over to me, after quickly writing something on a scroll and making it vanish.

"Calm down Mex, you are among friends," The Princess said.

"Yeah, I've heard that before, right before getting shot in the back with a slug rifle," I said.

"You are Mex, former Warlock guardian of the Tower, humanity's last stronghold," The Princess said.

I stopped struggling with confusion.

"Former?" I said confused.

The Princess donned a bright, warming smile.

"Do you not remember me? Or your friends back in Ponyville?" The Princess said.

I slightly tilted my head in confusion.

"Ponyville?" I said.

"Oh dear," The Princess said.

Princess Celestia explained the basics of what she suspects happened, I wiped my memories of Equestria by mistake, she does not know what spell I was trying to cast but "Clearly chose the wrong one" in her words.

She is sending me back to Ponyville with a guard escort, despite my objection. The carriage lands in front of the house I woke up in, I step outside and immediately I am met with the same orange pony with the cowboy hat and a purple alicorn rushing up to me.

"Mex! You are okay!" The orange pony said as she hugged me.

I had to forcefully suppress my survival instincts and just take the hug, it felt nice.

"Yeah, I think so, I apologise for breaking your window," I said.

"You're okay, and that's what matters," she said in a shaky sisterly voice.

"Mex?" A purple alicorn said approaching me. "We think you may have accidentally erased your memories of us and Equestria," she said.

"That's what the Princess said, can you fix me?" I said, looking at the alicorn.

Everyone there turned and looked at her.

"Yes I can, I've found the counter spell, we need to do it together, do you think you're ready for it?" The Purple Alicorn said to me.

I hesitated for a moment. Did I have a choice? The purple alicorn reintroduced me to everypony there to try and spark my memories naturally to no effect.

Twilight guided me through the process of casting the spell, it was a high-level spell and she was impressed I cast it by myself.

"The most important thing is to focus on your friends," Twilight said finishing.

"My friends?" I said under my breath.

"Us Mex," Apple Bloom said in a shaky voice.

I look over to the three girls who are my physical age and see them with genuine concern on their faces and a tear in each eye. They remind me of the children in the city, why is that thought familiar to me? My thoughts are interrupted.

"Are you sure you know what you're doing Twilight?" Rainbow Dash said, worry plastered on her face.

"Yes, this spell is difficult, but I understand how it works down to its fundamentals and therefore-" Twilight said but was interrupted.

"Ah bup bup bup, as long as you're confident it will work," Rainbow Dash said, sticking a hoof in Twilight's mouth.

"Okay, let's do this," I say.

I know I am trusting them but, something deep down inside me tells me they really are friends. I am not sure why, but I would die for them.

Twilight's horn ignites with a bright purple aura and soon after a magic circle appears below my hooves. A bright pillar of light fires into the sky and disperses into the sky once again.

I open my eyes with a face full of dirt and eyes full of tears as the memory of what I did comes flooding back all at once.

Applejack and Twilight approach me.

"Mex? Are you okay? Do you remember us?" Twilight said.

I could not verbally answer as I was choking back my tears and trying not to burst out in tears but I nodded.

"What happened Mex? What spell were you trying to cast?" Twilight said slightly concerned.

I broke, the floodgates opened and I curled up into a ball on the ground, guilt ripping me apart.

The older ponies look at each other in confusion as the Crusaders gallop up to me and hug me in a tight group hug.

"Oh Mex, you tried to erase your memories of your time as a guardian didn't you?" Sweetie Belle said in-between her sobs.

During my crying all I could do was nod, the Mane 6 clueing in, Applejack and Twilight immediately run over to join the hug, as Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy all teared up as well.

"Why did you do it hon?" Applejack said. Gently tugging the girls away from me to respond.

"Memories... too... painful," I said through the sobs.

"Can't... handle... it... anymore," I said through more sobs.

The Crusaders all rush to my side again.

"Oh Mex," Twilight said tearing up all over again.

"Ah think we're gonna have tah increase those sessions with Doctor T," Applejack said, recollecting herself.

I did not answer, all I did was cry, the first time I have ever truly felt it.

"Thanks, y'all for letting the girls stay over tonight. Ah think Mex really needs it,"

"That's quite alright, I for one do not think he should be alone for the next few weeks!" Rarity said.

"We are all going to have to keep an eye on Mex for the foreseeable future," Twilight said.

The Mane 6 all nod in agreement.

"Alrighty y'all, let's get some grub before y'all go to bed," Applejack said, leading us towards home. The girls were not more than a foot away from me at any given time.

On the walk home, the guilt of what I had attempted to do kept baring down on me. The girls could tell something was wrong as they kept giving me smiles and side hugs as we walked. I returned them as they came.

"Mex, from now on, I want you to talk to us whenever you are feeling sad about anything, okay?" Sweetie Belle said.

I nod my head, not daring to say a word.

"I wanna hear you say it Mex," Apple Bloom said, looking me in the eyes.

A tear finds its way to my eye and I quickly wipe it away.

"Okay," I say with a nod.

"Okay, what?" Scootaloo said.

"I-I'll talk to you guys if I feel sad about anything," I say quietly.

"That goes fer us adults too hon," Applejack said looking back at us smiling.

I nod again, hiding my face.

After dinner, I make my way upstairs after thanking Granny. I crawl into bed, emotionally exhausted.

"Mex you idiot, what in the inside of a Thrall's butt hole were you thinking?" A familiar voice said.

My eyes opened and turned to the voice in an instant.

"Demi?" I say aloud.

"Duh, who else would say something like that?" The apparition of Demi said.

"And Kai too," I said.

The apparition of Kai nodded.

"What are you both doing here?" I said.

"To yell at you, what's new?" Demi said with a smile.

"Don't make me blow that smirk off your face Demi," I said with a laugh.

The apparitions smiled deeply for a few moments.

"But seriously Mex, that was the dumbest thing you have ever done, and that's saying something," Demi said.

"What do you know huh?" I said annoyed.

"You haven't experienced it like I have! It, its, crushing," I said.

"And since when does Mex, the "Best warlock ever to grace the Tower" do such a stupid move?" Kai said with air quotes.

I did not answer. Instead, I turned back over and closed my eyes again. Not long after, I felt the girls crawl into bed with me, Sweetie Belle immediately snuggled up to me.

"Good night y'all," Applejack said from the door.

"Good night Applejack," We all said.

As the sun arose in the sky and the roosters of the farm sing their morning ballad, I lay awake, thinking of the events of yesterday, Sweetie Belle tightens her grip around me, Apple Bloom does the same and Scootaloo lets out a sharp snort through her nose.

I smile at my friends, genuinely this time, and at the same time, my nose catches a whiff of coffee coming from the kitchen. I carefully teleport myself outside the bed and gently float the girls closer together. I make my way downstairs.

"Mornin Mex," Applejack said before I could even see her.

"G-good morning Applejack," I said as I reached the bottom of the stairs.

"How're feelin now?" Applejack said, coddling a mug of sweet Go Go Juice.

"Better, but. Guilty," I said, hanging my head low.

"Guilty?" Applejack said, giving me her full attention.

"Yeah, it was selfish of me to do that, I see that, but I just can't shake this guilt," I say, head hung low.

Applejack thought deeply for a while as I poured myself a coffee.

"Have ya thought bout how ta deal with the guilt?" Applejack said.

"I have no idea how to deal with it, as a soldier, I never had any guilt, the enemy was evil and we were protecting our home, that was that," I said, my head hanging low, my ears flush to my head.

Applejack giggled.

"Well, there's always the tried-and-true paddlin, that always seems to release foals o' their guilt," Applejack said laughing.

I look at her confused, not sure of the joke. Applejack saw my confusion and laughed even harder but still quietly before calming down to explain. Which she did with a miming demonstration. Suddenly it clicked.

"Oh, ohhh!" I said, catching on and bursting out in quiet laughter.

"N-nah! I am good thanks Applejack," I said, barely holding myself together.

"Yer sure? Paddles right up there young'un!" Applejack said, wheezing with laughter.

"Nnope," I said in my best imitation of Big Mac and teleported back to my room with my coffee.

I heard Applejack laugh even louder downstairs but still at a respectable volume.

Thanks, Applejack, I really needed that laugh.

As I'm finishing the last of my coffee the girls all wake up and look over at me.

"For once Mex, Ah'd like tah wake up and find you over here," Apple Bloom said pointing a hoof next to her.

"Sorry, I just, had some stuff to work out with Applejack with our morning coffee," I said.

"What kind of stuff?" Sweetie Belle said.

Deciding to have a little fun, I smile internally.

"Applejack was just introducing me to "Paddling" and I have to say, not fun," I say while pretending to massage my behind and watching for reactions.

All three girls' jaws dropped to the floor and Apple Bloom was the first to speak.

"Applejack paddled ya?!" Apple Bloom said.

"What did you do?" Scootaloo said.

"Oh, poor Mex," Sweetie Belle said.

Applejack walked into the room at that same moment.

"Oh, good morning girls, is everything okay? Y'all seem like you've seen a ghost," She said.

"Oh, they're fine, I was just telling them how you introduced me to "Paddling" this morning," I said with a big smile on my face.

"Ya didn't actually paddle him did ya sis?!" Apple Bloom said in a panic.

Applejack sputtered a little before bursting out in laughter and I soon followed.

"Ah didn't actually paddle him, girls! We said it as a joke and I think he just pulled it on y'all," She said through the laughs.

The girls looked like they had sucked on a lemon before Apple Bloom turned to Applejack.

"Hey, sis, where exactly is that paddle again?" Apple Bloom said.

We all burst out laughing once again as we made our way to breakfast.

After breakfast, the girls and I headed out for some crusading for the rest of the morning. Apple Bloom and I went back to the farm for some chores before we went for a milkshake at Sugarcube Corner.

"You know girls, I really just-" I say before stopping.

"Yeah?" Scootaloo said.

"I-I just can't thank y'all enough for accepting me as a friend; Who knows where I'd be right now if I decided to run that night," I said.

"Aww," Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle said. Coming in for a hug, dragging Scootaloo with them.

"We'll always be friends now Mex!" Sweetie said.

After a few moments of hugging, Apple Bloom perked up.

"Wait... what night?" Apple Bloom said, looking me in the eyes.

Internally face-hoofing, I look back at her.

"N-nothing, thanks for being my friends again," I said, hugging even tighter.

"You were gonna run away at some point weren't ya?" Apple Bloom said.

"Race y'all to Sugarcube Corner! My treat!" I said and galloped off towards the said shop.

Apple Bloom and the others exhaled through their noses before following me into the shop.

Walking into the shop, Pinkie Pie gets our order ready and we go straight to our favourite booth. I activate my ODS spell and retrieve a quill and a piece of paper. I write a quick letter down when I get looks from the girls.

"Who are you writing to Mex?" Scootaloo said.

"Zecora, I'm gonna ask if I can get some lessons on potions from her, did you wanna come Apple Bloom?" I said, looking at her.

Apple Bloom gasps and nods.

"Yeah! That sounds like a great idea! We could go after school!" She said.

"Let's see if she'll agree first," I said with a chuckle.

After writing the letter and sending it on its way, Pinkie Pie dropped off our order, I paid her on the spot while staring at Apple Bloom in the eyes and with a smirk.

"Ah ha! See! Caught red-hoofed young colt!" Apple Bloom said, triggering a round of laughs from everypony present.

After finishing our meal, we all hurried towards school, as we walked outside we saw Zecora in town. She smiled as she spotted us and started walking over.

"Zecora! That was fast!" Apple Bloom said.

"Greetings Apple Bloom and her friendly companions, seeing you again grants me smiles of a canyon," Zecora said with a big smile.

"Did you get my letter? I haven't cast that spell very often, I just wanted to make sure you got it," I said.

"Your letter filled up my heart, my question? when do we start?" Zecora said with a smile.

"Yay! Thanks, Zecora!" Apple Bloom and I said together as we hugged her.

"How about after school today?" I say.

Zecora nods.

"Yes, I believe that arrangement is agreeable, now off to school or a scolding is foreseeable," Zecora said.

"What does that mean?" Sweetie Belle said.

"It means, time to go," I say after checking the clock.

"Whew! What a day!" Apple Bloom said, looking exhausted.

"It wasn't that bad, learning about Ponyville's history was extremely informative," I say.

"Plus, we get to cook up potions now!" I added.

This perked Apple Bloom up straight away.

"Oh yeah! I nearly forgot! We should make sure it is okay with Applejack before we go," Apple Bloom said.

"Already taken care of, I sent her a note during lunch,"

"You two have fun!" Sweetie Belle said.

"It won't be as fun without you girls, but I know potions aren't yer thing," Apple Bloom said.

"Well, y'all could always come anyway, Zacora's hut could always do with some pretty ponies in it," I said with a smile.

Sweetie Belle instantly blushed and covered her face and Scootaloo turned her head to face away from us.

"What? I said, turning to face Apple Bloom. "Did I say something wrong?"

Apple Bloom giggled uncontrollably for a few moments when she went to speak. Quick as a flash, Sweetie Belle zipped over and covered her mouth with her hoof.

"N-no, I'd love to come with you two," Sweetie Belle said.

"I would come just to hang out, but I'm helping Rainbow Dash with her awesome tricks today!" Scootaloo said, striking some poses for emphasis.

We all giggle and wish her fun before heading off to Zecora's hut. I quickly send a note to Rarity to let her know where Sweetie is.

On the walk there we talk about potential Crusading ideas and who we would need to ask to help us. We came up with ideas like, parasailing, after explaining what exactly that is, both Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom quickly changed their minds as I giggled my head off.

"What about Creative Writing?" Sweetie Belle said.

"Nah, I'm terrible at writing," I said.

"Yeah, me too," Apple Bloom said.

Somewhere, Discord's face clawed.

Sweetie Belle, Apple Bloom and I knock on the door of Zecora's hut door. The door opens quickly and we are greeted by a warm smile.

"Ah, welcome Mex, Apple Bloom, and Sweetie Belle too, any more young ones, and we would have a zoo," Zecora said.

We all giggle and make our way into the hut.

"I'm just here to keep them company, I'm a mess at potions," Sweetie Belle said, taking a seat.

"If you decide to change your mind, next to Mex, a station you'll find," Zecora said as we began our lesson.

"Well, I suppose I could try," Sweetie Belle said, blushing slightly.

"Ah think "Next to Mex" was all Sweetie Belle needed ta hear," Apple Bloom said.

Zecora and Apple Bloom giggled while I looked confused and Sweetie Belle's cheeks got all puffed up as she lightly glared at Apple Bloom.

"Now, after we recover from our grinning, like a good book, we start at the beginning," Zecora said.

The three of us walk out of Zecora's hut with a bag full of freshly brewed potions that Zecora helped us make. One pony was very excited about being able to do it successfully.

"Wow! I-I can't believe I did it! I actually made a potion!" Sweetie Belle said, jumping up and down from excitement.

"See? Zecora said you could do it, just, not in so many words," I said.

"Ah can't wait to show Applejack this Disease Cure Potion! Ah'm sure she will have a use fer it!" Apple Bloom said.

"I cannot wait to try this Focus Potion out! Apparently, they're extremely popular with students studying for their final exams," I said.

"This Stain Remover Potion will help Rarity in a pinch!" Sweetie Belle said.

Zecora had written a note attached to the bottles that had the name of the potion, along with a quick guide on how to apply/use it. As well as a little disclaimer that it was made with her supervision, but primarily by the filly/colt.

Apple Bloom and I say our goodbyes to Sweetie Belle and head back to the farmhouse, excited to show off our creations.

Apple Bloom and I walk inside and say hi to Granny.

"Hey, Granny! Where's Applejack?" I say.

"In here young'uns!" Applejack said from the kitchen.

"Hey Applejack! Look what we made!" Apple Bloom said, holding up her potion vial, I follow suit and hold up mine with an equally big smile.

"Well, what do we have here?" Applejack said, reading the notes attached to the bottles.

"Well ah'll be, these are full-fledged potions ain't they?" She said.

"Uh-huh! Do you like em?" Apple Bloom and I said together.

"They're great! Ah know just what to use this one on," Applejack said motioning towards the Disease Cure.

"That's why ah made it, I know yer nursing those apple trees back to health," Apple Bloom said.

"Didn't ya think to use a potion like that before?" I asked.

"Ah would have loved ta, but potions are generally expensive so we usually don't have the luxury of potion help," Applejack said.

"Oh, I see," I said with a grin on my face.

"Now y'all listen here Mex, don't you go off an buy farming-related potions now, ya hear?" Applejack said.

"W-whaa? I-I would dream of it Applejack!" I said with a cheeky grin plastered on my face.

"Mhm, that paddle is still in range y'know," Applejack said, returning the grin.

"Yeep!" I squeaked out, causing a round of laughter.

"What about your potion Mex? What's it fer?" Applejack said.

"It's a potion to help me focus during my meditation, if I'm right, it'll help unlock access to a larger reservoir of Light," I said with a beaming smile.

Sisterly concern fell on Applejack's face.

"Don't worry Applejack, I'm gonna be using it tomorrow with Twilight's supervision," I said.

"Oh, okay, well in that case, ya won't mind if I hold onto it for the night will ya?" She said with a knowing grin.

"Uh," I said. Hesitating. "O-of course not," I said with a forced smile.

"Well good, ya didn't have much of a choice," Applejack said with a chuckle.

I pout and cross my front legs.

"Ya weren't gonna use it tonight anyway were you Mex?" Apple Bloom said in a sarcastic tone causing both sisters to laugh and me to giggle, having finally been caught out.

"Ugh, fine! I was gonna use it tonight, not anymore though," I admitted.

"Apple Bloom, would you get the paddle please?" Applejack said.

"Huh? Why?" Apple Bloom said.

"Cuz Mex just lied ta me," Applejack said with narrowed eyes.

Lying on my bed after dinner with Apple Bloom next to me thinking about the day.

"Ya know ya had it comin right?" Apple Bloom said holding onto a laugh.

I turn to look at her and pretend to glare at her.

We both burst out laughing and fall asleep.

Author's Notes.

Hello everyone, I apologise this took forever to come out, I have been dealing with a lot of full days and have had zero time to write, but hopefully, that has finished now. At least for a while.

Anyway, I hope y'all like Mex's newest chapter of adventure in Equestria and I will see everycreature next time!
