Aye What Up You Guys? I know I'm a Tad Late on the posting; Maybe more than that. I'm Terrible I know *Sad Face*. Anyhow, Here I am To update this story and hopefully continue it in later dates, I can't promise anything at the moment do to some critical events happening here with me. I apologize to all whom have been waiting forever for this chapter to be updated and I shall presume:

PREVIOUSLY ON 'LIVING IN SAWTOOTH':

Humphrey soon remembered that he had to meet Sapphire for the night so they could talk, although they never set a location. "Well fuck... Where would she be..?" Humphrey asked himself. He looked around, looking for some kind of landmark that he could possibly find her at.

Sapphire walked the path within the territory looking around for Humphrey. She looked left to right a little confused. "He couldn't be that hard to find right..?" She asked herself.

Humphrey sighed loudly and shrugged as he set out and followed the path within camp, hoping to bump into her.

And Now...:

Sapphire continued throughout the camp in search for Humphrey but there was just no luck anywhere. It was as if they were both just in the wrong places at the wrong time, Almost as if she was being Avoided by him. "I've searched nearly everywhere.." She said to herself.

Sapphire looked around the area she currently was located in looking for a sort of high ground where she could get a view of the entire camp from above.

Humphrey was inside the camp territory, nearby the medical dens. He ended up poking his head inside the den and was immediately face to face with another female. Surprised, Humphrey jolted backwards and starred at her with an intense and cautious expression. The female just starred right back at him and leaned her head with a hint of confusion. "Are you alright?" She asked.

Humphrey coughed and came to his senses shorty after the question and replied, "Ack- Uhm, I was just looking for Someone.. Thought she'd maybe be here but now that I'm taking a better look it doesn't look like it. Sorry to Intrude, I'll be off."

Humphrey quickly shook off his slight bit of shock and turned around and started out the den. "Wait-!" He heard, turning his head back towards the den. The female huffed and narrowed her eyes at him as if she was trying to figure out who the male was.

"Humph..rey... Right?" She asked.

"Uhm, Yeah that's correct." He replied with a curious expression.

"I wanna take a wild guess here but you're looking for Sapphire aren't you?" She asked, curious.

"Actually, Yeah.. How'd-" He started but was then interrupted instantly. "I'm her Best Friend, Vanessa. It's a Pleasure to meet the man himself." She stated

"As to you, Vanessa. Do you know where Sapphire is?" I asked. Vanessa pointed in a single direction and with that, Humphrey was gone.

Sapphire shook her head in exhaust before flopping onto her side. "There's like, Nowhere to observe camp from above! How am I gonna find Humphrey?" She said, completely stumped.

That's when conveniently, someone walked up behind her. "Just gonna lay there? looks comfortable." The voice said in a sarcastic matter. Sapphire turned her head to the side (upward) to look at a chuckling Humphrey. "Oh, Hey.. Was looking everywhere for you." She said eventually getting up and shaking a small amount of dust that was collected on her pelt.

"I could say the same to you." Humphrey replied with a laugh.

Sapphire rolled her eyes and starred him in the eyes. "Well, no matter. We've found each other now so I guess it doesn't matter."

Humphrey nodded his head and replied; "So where can we talk?"

Sapphire sighed lightly, dropping her head in disappointment before picking it back up and glaring at him. "We finally find each other after who knows how long and you wanna get straight to talking?" She stated. Humphrey chuckled a bit nervously as his eyes beamed left and right as if he knew he was gonna get lectured.

"I uhm.. I don't know what else we would do.." Humphrey said, a bit confused.

"Oh Forget It.." She sighed. "Right.." He confirmed.

Sapphires tail gracefully waved behind her as she walked up closer to Humphrey and nudged her head as if to follow her. "Follow me, I know a place we can go."

Humphrey grinned and nodded his head, starting to follow her.

Several moments later, the sky was pitch black and billions of stars could be seen throughout the night; The moon was bright as well for it to only be a half moon.

Both Sapphire and Humphrey arrived at a small hideout located just outside the Valleys Edge inside the woods that resided nearby.

"So.. You want to know about how I'm here and not..." Sapphire asked, taking a seat beside Humphrey.

"That's 'One' thing that I'm curious to know about." Humphrey replied as he sat straight up, allowing Sapphire his shoulder to rest on. "Oh? and what's this other question?" She wondered, raising a brow and looking up at him.

"Ill answer that once you tell me your story." Humphrey bargained.

"Than I suppose I have no other choice.." She replied, sighing.

[Warning!: FLASHBACK. I REPEAT: FLASHBACK!]

"Humphrey!" Zeta Yelled, attempting to collect Humphreys Attention. Humphrey was in his own world, spaced out and Lost in his thoughts before being knocked to the ground by Zeta. Humphrey shook his head and quickly got up now paying his full attention to what was happening.

"My apologies Zeta. I was just remembering some stuff.." Humphrey explained.

"Hey man, whatever it was, just forget about it. It's not like it matters anymore right? you might as well move on from whatever it is." Zeta said, trying to help Humphrey. "The more you think about it, the more you'll dwell on it. Don't allow one event in your past to take away something in the present." He added.

Humphrey nodded, acknowledging Zetas Guidance. "Yeah I suppose you're right, Zeta. Especially if it was two months ago, nothing is gonna change."

"Damn straight man, Just enjoy yourself around here. Trust me, You've already got babes looking your way." Zeta teased, laughing quietly. Humphrey rolled his eyes and shook his head; "Yeah Yeah... You're sooo funny." Humphrey said in a sarcastic matter.

Humphrey got up and shook out the bit of dirt that was hiding in his pelt before leaving Zetas den and looking outside, squinting his eyes from how bright it was.

[Humphrey's PoV]

"Excuse me..?" A Feminine voice said beside me. I turned my head first towards the direction of the voice and there stood a female with long silver fur and a messy Pure White chest. There wasn't much on how to describe her but perfection in my eyes. The biggest stand-out to me were her Deep Blue Sapphire Eyes. I basically melted where I stood.

"U-Uhm, Yeah? Looking for Som-Something?" I asked, Messing up a shot with my stuttering.

She leaned her head and giggled lightly at me. Her cute giggle brought this weird feeling in my chest, something I haven't felt in what felt forever. "Are you alright? Something wrong?" She asked.

"Hm? -Oh No.. Not at All.. Just caught me by surprise is all.." I said, lying; Obviously.

"If you say so.. I'm just looking for Arrow, Have you seen him around?" She asked with a concerned expression on her face. "Arrow? Uhm.. The last I saw Arrow was back near the medical den. He came in making fun of me because I got into a small accident. Maybe he's still there?" I explained. "Why are you guys Dating or Something?" I added being dumb.

She looked at me with a disgusted look as if I had said something displeasing. "What? -Ew.. No. He's my Brother."

I really couldn't figure out how to reply to that. I felt disgusted myself just for asking that.

a few awkward moments later I offered to help her search for him so it would be for effective. She agreed to it and we both went on our marry way in search for arrow side by side.

As we walked through camp I finally gained the courage to ask her name. "So.. I suppose-" I started before I was interrupted. "Arrow!" She yelled as he approached us. Arrow didn't look to pleased to find me near his sister so I kind of just stayed quiet without any eye contact.

"The preparations are ready as requested and we are ready to head out come dusk." She said. I just listened in on what was being said.

"Great news, I'll talk with everyone tonight then and get them ready for the battle between the Arrow-Head and SawTooth." He explained simply.

With that, She ran off as being dismissed and I stood there waiting to be threatened. "So I see you've taken a liking to my Sister." He teased. "What? No-No I haven't I swear." I tried to explain.

Arrow just laughed and shook his head. "Humphrey if there's anyone I trust with my Sister, It's You. I'm not angry, just don't hurt her or it will be the End for you." He said, attempting to scare me.

"Uhm.. Y-Yes sir. Understood." I replied.

Arrow had his fun messing with Humphrey about his interest in his Sister but that didn't go on or long due to some events that were about to happen the morning after. "Humphrey, It's time to get serious however. Tomorrow morning we are ambushing a camp of hunters of the SawTooth Pack. They currently are carrying a few of our own as prisoners. The wolves they are carrying are named Donte and Dakota, the Twin Brothers. Our goal is to retrieve them."

Arrow filled Humphrey in on all the details about the raid until there was nothing left to explain. "You want me to what?!" Humphrey yelled, shocked and confused. "I want you to lead the unit ill be sending out, I trust you with this. I know what your capable of. I've been observing your potential while you were in training and I know what you can do." Arrow explained.

Humphrey recollected himself and nodded acknowledging it. "I.. Won't let you down."

That early Dusk Morning, It was Humphrey, Zeta, a Few of the Scouts, and Arrows Sister. Humphrey was a little nervous about this entire 'Lead the Raid' thing but he did know that in order to progress his standing he needed to be out there.

"This Raid is about one thing and one thing only. To Recover our imprisoned Brothers! Hunters of the SawTooth Pack have unfortunately closed in on Donte and Dakota and taken them as Prisoners to bring back as Trophies. It's our goal to bring them back home safely, just as I'm expecting all of you to come back ALIVE and well. For todays Recovery, I've put Humphrey in Charge of it. No Discussion."

Everybody that was around Humphrey looked at him with a confused and slightly frightened look. He knew that he was still newish to the area and to the ways of the Arrow-Head. He didn't have much standing or combative knowledge. "Listen!, I know that I am not your Ideal Leader but I ask you to put just a small amount of Faith in me, I promise I'll do everything I can to Contribute!" Humphrey Explained, trying to settle some of them down.

"I trust Him." someone said. Humphrey looked in the direction as to where the voice came from and it was Arrows Sister.

Soon after their meeting with Arrow, Humphrey and the Others headed out on their mission. It didn't take too Long for them to reach their point, Hunters from SawTooth could be seen through the thick trees and grass that stood in their way. It was as if They were waiting for something to happen.

"Wouldn't they take this chance to hurry home instead of seeking shelter? you'd think they would know we'd be coming for Donte and Dakota." Zeta announced quietly.

"I couldn't say for certain but we need to figure out a strategy." Arrows sister insisted.

"I've already got one, You Both hang back until I give you guys a signal to move in. I'm gonna take our unit of Scouts circle around the camp so we can close in and squish the enemy inside." Humphrey suggested.

"Whatever you say, we will do." Zeta confirmed. Humphrey looked over at Arrows sister as she gave him a nod.

Humphrey then immediately explained the plan to the scouts and everyone took their places. Humphrey hung back a bit just to observe the location of the guards and to see where Donte and Dakota were being held. Soon enough Humphrey spotted a massive mound of dirt built up as if a hole was dug up. "It's gotta be where they're keeping them" Humphrey whispered to himself.

Humphrey looked up from his location to find Zeta and Arrows Sister. As they looked back at Humphrey, He nudged them to move in.

As they moved in on Humphrey, he explained where Donte and Dakota were located.

"There's not too many of them and I think we should just ambush and leave quickly. With our numbers we can take them out in a matter of seconds." Humphrey explained.

As some time passed by on deciding the best possible strategy, Humphreys plan was a go.

At Once, the unit pounced from their positions and attacked the hunters immediately, wiping them out with one solid swoop. "Turned out to be easier than expected." Zeta said with ease.

"Donte! Dakota! You guys here!" Humphrey shouted. His ears perked up quickly after that as voices rung out of the pit that was dug up. "Down here! Help us out!" They shouted back.

Humphrey looked around the area for something to use. He walked around the camp and finally picked up a long thick vine before returning and tossing a side down to get them up.

After Humphrey had helped them both out of the pit, He heard a silent growl echoing from the bodies of the perished Hunters they had taken out. That's when suddenly he noticed a body twitching.

"Hey Guy's we recover them? we should probably get back before others know we were here." Arrows sister said as she treaded towards the moving body. At that moment, the wolf that was presumed dead pounced at Her. Humphrey quickly reacted and pushed her out of the way taking the attack himself and being deeply punctured in his chest.

Seconds later, Zeta ran over and toppled over the last hunter and finished them off before dashing over to Humphrey's side. "Hey! Humph! Don't you die on me!" He shouted.

Humphrey was laying on the ground hardly breathing and bleeding everywhere when suddenly he blacked out.

It was Night Time and there was huge commotion inside the medical den. Humphrey was being treated for his wound, and Arrows sister sat inside the den with him the entire time he was out unconscious. She was confused by what had happened, it went way too fast for her to process it. She understood that Humphrey saved her life but what good did that do? What was he after?

As time flew by, the medics said Humphrey would be alright but he wasn't able to do anymore combat or training related tasks. He needed to take it slow and heal.

Soon enough, Humphrey opened his eyes and instantly found Arrows Sister sitting right beside him, unharmed. He smiled and let out a wheezed huff. "Ah Good.. You're Safe.." He said with an exhausted type of voice.

She looked at him and asked why he pushed her aside to save her and he just gave another smile and said, "Well, If I Hadn't protected you and you died. I wouldn't hear the end of it from Arrow." Humphrey explained.

"That's it?..." She asked, not believing it.

"And.. I wanted to know your name." He added with a small laugh. "My name?" She narrowed her eyes a bit before giving this loving and gentle smile of hers. "It's Sapphire.."

Humphrey chuckled to himself a bit. "Sapphire... It's cute. It Suites you." He admitted.

Sapphire blushed lightly and shook her head. "Thank you for saving me today. I didn't get to say that yet."

"No Thanks Needed.." Humphrey replied before crashing out again.

[2 Months Later]

From that Point on, Humphrey and Sapphires relationship with each other strengthened. It wasn't until another two months before another disaster struck Arrow-Head Valley.

Humphrey was up and actively getting his daily routine in. He still however had to take it somewhat easy on himself due to the wound.

Sapphire had just left her cave to get fresh air and walk around, however she spotted Humphrey and padded up to him with a smile on her face. "Hey there! Whatcha up to Humph?" Sapphire asked with curiosity.

"At the moment I'm just getting a bit of exercise and stretching out. I can't be locked up forever Y'know. Otherwise ill get out of shape." Humphrey explained to her.

"I suppose that makes some sense." She replied back. "You wanna do something with me today?" She added.

"Hm.. Depends on what your idea is..?" He replied, letting out an exhausted yawn. "Mmm- We could.. Just go Walk around? Talk?" She suggested. Humphrey let out a loud sarcastic sigh and replied; "Fine"

With that The two exchanged some words and walked around camp.

Humphrey paused in his tracks, listening to the wind as Sapphire kept walking in front of him. "What's wrong?" She asked. "Don't you hear that..?" Humphrey stated, his ears opening to listen.

"Hear what?" She asked.

That's Exactly when Arrow-Head Valley was now under attack. SawTooth Wolves flooded the Valley and killed anybody standing in their way.

Humphrey Had already taken Sapphire and ran towards Arrows cave to inform him of the surprise attack. On their way to Arrows Cave, there were innocent wolves who were running for the woods to hide in and take shelter.

Before Humphrey realized it, Sapphire was lost in the crowd of people they were running through. They both had lost each other. "Sapphire!" He shouted, attempting to find her. "Sapphire!" He shouted once more. "Damn it!"

Humphrey took off towards Arrows cave but once he arrived, He was already gone. "Wh- Arrow!" He screamed.

"Where is he?!" Humphrey asked himself.

Minutes Flew by as Humphrey Searched for Arrow and Sapphire. There wasn't Any Luck. Instead Humphrey had to take things into his own paws and attempt to battle the intruders along with anyone who was out on the lines fighting to keep them at bay.

Humphrey dashed back to where he and Sapphire last were but again no sign of her. He shook his head and tried to focus on what was happening.

As Things progressed, Humphrey and a few Others were fighting off the intruders and backing them out of the Valley and hopefully force them to retreat. Humphrey knew they had already lost more than half their own population but that was no reason to stop now.

Humphrey was beaten to a pulp, bruised everywhere and hurting. Later on, Arrow showed up and helped with the remaining attackers, pushing them back and holding them off.

As time passed they fended off the attack but suffered many casualties. "Where have you been.." Humphrey asked. "I was out on a hunt with our scouts but instead I return to this. what happened?" Arrow asked, very concerned.

"Both I and Sapp..ire-" Humphrey started but was instantly reminded of her. "Sapphire!" He shouted and started running around camp to locate her whereabouts. "Sapphire!" He shouted once more. There was no reply.

Humphrey ran around, examining every body he came close contact with, eventually... it took a turn for the worse. "Sapphire.." Humphrey cried out.

Sapphires body was trampled over, bruised, and covered in scars and blood. She was no longer in this world.

Arrow ran up behind Humphrey and instantly caught sight of what was in front of him.

Arrow growled and became mad with rage, tackling Humphrey and standing above him. "You Said You Were Going To Protect Her! I TRUSTED you!" Arrow snarled in Humphreys face before walking off him with a disgusted look.

Humphrey on the other hand was just blank and empty, he didn't understand what was happening, he couldn't process it.

[Sapphires PoV]

When I woke up, I was nowhere near home.

"Where am I..?" I asked myself feeling much pain as I tried to get up off from the ground. I had these sharp pains in my sides.

"Humph...?" I questioned looking around. He was nowhere in sight so he wasn't with me. I began walking in a random direction to hopefully just find some kind of clue as to where I'm located.

After walking for so long I stumbled across this cave that looked empty. when I got closer to it and got inside, There were these strange items and herbs that were just laying around, they smelled familiar. "Anyone Home?!" I announced. There was no answer however so I decided to just stay and take shelter inside.

A day of rest passed until I heard this noise coming from the entrance of the cave. I couldn't move to hide from the pain I was going through so I just layed there, waiting.

This strange wolf walked in and hovered over me and smiled widely. "If Your Wondering where you are, You're a good few miles from home. You're brother brought you to me a few days ago and told me you were injured very badly in a surprise Attack? You're lucky to be Alive. You were pretty much dead in all honesty. so its a miracle you're alive." The stranger said.

"Why was I outside though if I was brought here..." I asked, confused. "Oh That..? Yeah I Gave up on you yesterday, That's why I said its a Miracle you're Alive." She stated.

I was just Really confused. I didn't understand.

[END OF FLASHBACK]

"Needless to Say.. I was given a Second Chance." Sapphire said.

Alright here's the next chapter, I probably did really bad on this but I worked on this non-stop and I'm tired as hell. In This Chapter, I kinda just wanted to give you all an idea on how Humphrey and Sapphire met and who they were to one another. Let me have some ideas cause im like really running out here and i do want to continue this. Anyways... WHAT DID YOU THINK? WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT? THINK ABOUT WHO WILL HUMPHREY CHOOSE NOW..
