Chapter 1

'Hmm Seems like I died' thought a ball of light. The soul tried to look around but he only saw darkness and an unending amount of chaos. 'So this is where people go after their death huh, it is kinda … peaceful' he wondered.

He then thought of his life and a sigh escaped his mouth. His name was Rudra Verma and he was a member of the special force unit under Research and Analysis Wing.

Research and Analysis Wing or RAW is India's elite spy agency that conducts operations which the Indian government doesn't want to associate themselves with.

And the special forces unit is the team that executes those operations. Every personnel in this unit is handpicked by the Chief of RAW and India's National security advisor from the Indian army and para commandos.

This Special force was created in 1981 under the secret project named sunrays. No one knew about this group until 1985 when they provide security to the Prime Minister of India during 'Operation Blue Star'.

They have conducted many other operations like spying on Pakistan's nuclear program, they were the one who found out about Pakistan's capabilities of manufacturing weapons-grade plutonium. The list of their operations is long and most of them are not even listed.

He was in the para-commandos unit when he was short-listed for the special forces. The training he went through was hell, it took him 3 years to complete his training and by the end of it, he was not himself. He became a cold-blooded killer with dead and emotionless eyes.

In September 2020 he and his team were sent to Wuhan in China to investigate the origins of Covid19 Virus and Chinese Communist party's involvement in it. and what they found was rather diabolical. The Chinese government have been using Uighur Muslims from the Xinjiang region as human test subjects.

For the last 10 years, they have been working on a serum that could alter a human genome and provide them with super strength and Covid19 virus was just a byproduct of this project.

After sending pictures and documents as proofs via an encrypted channel, he and his team decided to kill everyone in the facility for precautions. They planted several bombs in the entire facility, they then decided to leave.

Just as he was about to follow his team through the backdoor, an alarm was sounded, the containment doors dropped down and he was trapped inside. He tried to open the door but was unable to. 'hmm seems like this is how i will die.' he sighed. Then

"Roar"

A roar echoed through the hall. He frowned at this and decided to check it out. Reaching to a big room he saw a sight that will make any other person horrified and scared for their life. There in the middle of the room was an unnaturally bulky figure with veins popping out from every inch of his body. Currently, that monstrosity was tearing apart a Chinese scientist.

Seeing this Rudra aimed his Bushmaster ACR at the figure and

"Bang" "Bang" "Bang" …

Started firing without stopping. The figure then collapsed face-first not moving anymore. Rudra then moved toward the figure but stopped midways as he saw the monster rising again. He quickly changed his magazine and continued firing but the figure just took the bullets head-on.

Seeing it not working, Rudra aimed at his eyes and fired.

"Roar"

It roared in pain and pounced at Rudra with black blood oozing out from his now destroyed right eye socket. Rudra quickly rolled to his left and continued firing his barrage of bullets. And then

"Clink"

his magazine became empty. Realizing his chance has come the monster again pounced at him. This time Rudra was unable to move in time and was pushed against the wall. He could feel his ribcage breaking but that doesn't matter, his priority right now was to kill this freak of a monster. Just as the monster was about to bite his face off, Rudra from one of his pockets took out a grenade and pushed it inside the monster's open mouth. But the monster didn't care and he with a "Tear" crushed his entire arm with his teeth, it then swallowed his arm along with the Grenade.

The monster then opened his mouth and bite into Rudra's unprotected neck. That is when it happened.

"Boom"

The grenade detonated and the monster was blasted into small pieces of meat. Breathing heavily Rudra who was now missing an arm and had a large hole in his torso looked at the ceiling with a small smile on his face. he then mumbled to himself "Well, that's one way to die."

He then with his remaining hand took out a remote. He pressed the button on it and

"Boom" "Boom" "Boom" "Boom"

the bombs they planted earlier blasted off and he knew no more.

'What to do now?' Rudra's soul thought while floating in the chaos. But unknown to him the chaos in the surrounding was slowly being absorbed by his soul.
