Welcome to this story!
First of all, thank you very much for deciding to read this fic.
Despite the fact that I already have another story going, I just couldn't stop myself from starting another one. This idea has been floating around in my head for days and since I'm a huge fan of the LawxLuffy pairing, I just had to write it.
For the readers of my other fanfiction: This new story will not change anything about the release of the chapters of the other fanfic.
Soo then I really hope you like this story and would be very happy to get feedback of any kind from you. I'm not a native English speaker either, so I apologize in advance for any grammatical errors.
Please enjoy!
Prologue
It was the middle of a chilly October night when a tall man in his late twenties, dressed in a thick black hooded sweater that protected him from the cold, marched through the front yard of his house. Over his shoulder he carried the unconscious limp body of a young man with a similar black mane to his.
With his hand, which was adorned with several tattoos, he held the petite body to prevent it from slipping off his shoulder, and with his other he reached into his pants pocket to pull out his house key.
He then skillfully unlocked the front door, let the door fall shut behind him, and immediately after taking off his shoes in the narrow hallway, went towards a spiral staircase that was located in the adjacent living room at the back left. The man with the goatee adjusted the young boy on his shoulder before he followed the stairs down, which led to two different doors.
Behind one of these doors was a laundry room, while the other door, which he now opened with another key on his key chain, led to a kind of small library, where he spent most of his free time and used it more as a study or hobby room.
The mysterious man entered the rather old-fashioned furnished room, walked straight to one of the neat bookshelves, next to which a thick long curtain hung from the ceiling down along the wall and pushed the fabric aside. Behind the dark curtain was another narrow door that led through a short tunnel to yet another separate room.
The lights slowly flickered on as the man in the dark hoodie flipped the light switch, illuminating the chamber in dim light. This area could have been straight out of one of the well-known horror movies. In fact, with the cold tile floor and walls, it was almost reminiscent of a hospital basement.
The black haired man carefully set the knocked out boy down on the floor and leaned his back against the wall so that both of his legs were stretched out and spread a bit and his head hung limply slightly down.
When that was done, he grabbed the thick iron chain that was attached to the wall and at the other end of which was a shackle. Then he carefully closed the ring around the other's left ankle after taking off his shoes, making sure it was not too loose, but not too tight either to avoid any injuries.
After that, the man with the goatee lingered in a kneeling position for a while as he contemplated his work. His curious gaze wandered from the anklet slowly over the long casual jeans the young man wore and from there over his red hoodie to finally land on his face.
He raised his right hand to slightly lift the boy's tilted chin. The older man's tattooed fingers tingled as they came into contact with the soft skin and his heart pounded madly in his chest. His desire increased more and more as he let his thumb glide over the smooth, pale face. Along the boy's cheeks he could feel dried traces of tears and then, as he gently ran his thumb along the small, thin scar that was under the young man's left eye, a voice calling his name snapped him out of his trance-like state.
With a jerk, the man withdrew his hand from the other's face and scrambled to his feet, still not taking his eyes off the unconscious boy.
"Don't worry, I'll be back." He whispered as he then turned with a heavy heart and made his way out of the room with nimble steps, while the voice from earlier, which seemed to come from upstairs, called out to him once again.
