There is always adjustment when a loved one is presumed to be dead and then comes back home. Drew found out that his family missed him, but they were able to go on without him. Jason filled in the gaps, but there were things going on that even Jason did not know about.
Drew was able to see his children, Scout, and Danny. Danny knew that Drew was his uncle, but for a long time he believed he was his father. Danny missed his uncle Drew, and he was happy to have him back in his life. Scout followed everyone's clues about her father. She was happy that he had come home.
When Elizabeth was able to rescue Jason, there was a change in Drew. He was happier because he felt that it was his fault that Jason died. Jason did not blame anyone for what happened to him. He knew the risks he was taking, and he would do it all over again. Britt was a friend to him and there may have been a time that he would have taken things further, but Carly ruined any chance of that.
"Drew. I want you and Britt to know that no one was to blame for the cave-in and what happened or could have happened to me. Peter August is the one I hold responsible and Victor Cassadine. The two of them have been playing with all our lives for years. You have been hurt the worst by them. I have no clue why they have done this, but they will pay someday. Hopefully soon. I am happy that you are back home. I plan to ask Elizabeth to marry me, and I want you to be my best man. Will you, do it?"
Drew was at a loss for words. He could only shake his head, yes. Jason laughed at that. The two of them went inside to see their mother. Monica had just finished overseeing the decorations for Christmas. This year everyone was going to have their Christmas wishes delivered before or with Santa.
It is two days before Christmas. There is peace and good tidings everywhere. Finn had taken Violet to see Santa. Violet went up to Santa and gave him a big hug with the prettiest smile Santa had ever seen. "Well sweetheart what would you like Santa to bring you for Christmas?"
"Santa! I want to thank you for all the good things that you have done for me and my friends. I have the most wonderful gift anyone could have, and I want you to know that I do not need anything. My mother was kidnapped a couple of years ago by bad men. She was able to break free because my uncle Jason and his friends went to rescue his brother in Greece. We thought he had died when everyone came home at Thanksgiving. My aunt Elizabeth went over with my cousins and rescued him. When she was in the hospital she turned around and my mommy was there. She was happy that she was able to save her and Uncle Jason. They just came back several days ago. I want you to know that I love and believe in you. Thank you for all the love and kindness that you spread around the world." Violet gave him a big hug and went back to her parents. They saw Santa and he had tears going down his cheek.
Scout and Danny went to see Santa and told Santa about their fathers coming back from Europe. They thanked Santa for everything, but they received the best present by having their family together again.
Maxie had brought her three children over to see Santa with Spinelli. When Peter was killed in a riot at the prison he was in, Maxie was able to get back Louise from Brooklyn. Santa could see that the young mother was finally going to have the peace that she needed, and he was happy for her. Georgie and James told Santa that they had everything they wanted because their baby sister was back with them.
Chase knew that Brooklyn needed to get away for Christmas. He was happy for his brother and family. Chase realized that when he was playing daddy with Bailey and Brooklyn that he was starting to think about having a family too. "I was thinking about getting some sun for Christmas this year. My family has a beach house in the Keys. We could go sailing or fishing while we are down there. We need to get away for a few days, have some peace, and quiet."
Brooklyn knew that Chase just wanted her to be happy but giving up Bailey was harder to do than she thought. She loved her like she was her daughter. The truth was out about how Louise was taken away so Peter could not find her. It made sense to everyone afterwards why Maxie was so hooked on Bailey. Maxie tried to explain to everyone why she did it and even though there were hurt feelings, they realized why she did it. What she and Brooklyn was close to committing fraud. If Maxie had trusted the people in her life, they would have been behind what she did. It would have been a red flag to Peter if everyone were not looking too hard for his daughter and he would have figured it out.
The tree lighting was something that brought everyone back together as a family. The families all gathered around the tree and watched their children's faces light up with the beauty of the holiday. They drank hot cocoa and sang Christmas songs. They knew the next evening it would be Christmas Eve.
Joss was afraid of what her mother could or would do to her so she could get what she wanted from Jason. Joss talked to Cam who told her what her mother had tried to do the past couple of days when it came to Jason, his mother and brother, Jake. "Joss, I know you love your mother, but she will use you unless you stand your ground. If I were you, I would go visit your father, Jax while everything is heating up here in Port Charles. If you want me to go with you, I will. I will sacrifice my happiness and learn to how to surf with you. I will lie on the beach and get tan just so you feel better being away from all the craziness up here. I love you and will do anything that you want so that you are happy."
Cam spoke to the manager at Kelly's about taking some time off to help Joss. He had his passport ready to leave the country and permission to go by his mother. "I realize that it will be for the best, but sometimes it still makes it sad that you must leave. I am happy that you are waiting till Christmas afternoon. It will be better for Joss to go away from this while her mother is unraveling the way that she is.
Michael realizes that she needs help and Donna is too young. Carly for the most part is predictable, but this year too much has changed, and she is not able to put anyone's feelings aside except for her own. She has always been selfish but trying to hurt all the people that she has and not even close to being anything but crazy."
Sonny kept an eye on Carly, but realized he was over his head. Carly needed to be put where she could no longer hurt anyone. Nina had stopped over to give Sonny his present. "I just stopped over to see Sasha, Brando and Liam. They are all set for the night and love the place you gave them. Gladys is also in heaven and her gatehouse. They are looking forward to their first Christmas eve tomorrow night."
Sonny called Jason to tell him about how Carly was reacting to be stuck in his home. "I am afraid of her getting out and going after Elizabeth and Nina again. I don't know what to do. I want to do what is right. Can you help me?"
Jason asked him to come over to his home. "Come here and we will make plans along with Dante and Drew. Joss is going to visit with her father on Christmas day with Cam. Jax is flying up today and bringing the kids back on Christmas afternoon. This will be a way for the Joss to get out of any cross-fire from her mother. Joss and Cam are going to relax for a few weeks and then come back for school. I know the situation will be neutralized by then. At least, I hope so."
Drew, Dante, Jason and Sonny went into the man cave to figure out what to do. At the same time this was going on, Carly escaped and headed towards Sam's home. She started banging on the door and looked like she was a demon high on something. Danny looked out the window and told his mother that Carly was out there, but she looked weird. Sam knew that Carly is not in her right mind. She knew that Carly would use her and her children to get back at Jason. The three of them snuck out of the house and headed towards Elizabeth's place. She got there just after Dante showed up.
"Carly just showed up at our place. Rocco is still with your mother. Danny looked at her and she looked like she was having an episode of some sort. We came here to warn you. I knew that we will all be better safer together." Jason helped them all in. Danny and Scout headed upstairs to play with their cousins and brothers. Nina, Britt and Liesl were next to show up. The ladies stayed in the living room talking about Christmas.
Carly went to see Michael and Willow. She wanted to give them their Christmas presents for them and Wiley. Michael asked Carly to go. "Mom, you look tired. Wiley is already in bed. Willow is reading to him right now. I think you need to head home. I heard that you are staying with dad right now. You need to go. You will only scare Wiley. I love you but you need to leave now. If you need help, I can call Uncle Drew or Uncle Jason for you?"
"Call Jason if you want, but he won't leave his new family. He has forgot all about us and what we meant to him. I will make Elizabeth, Jake and Nina pay for taking away my men. Jason and Sonny are mine. Nina and Elizabeth are just distractions and I must make sure that they know that. I was thinking of calling Joss. I think that she could help me get the point across with Cameron. I will get Cam and he will call his mother for help. She will come to get him and take her out. No Elizabeth and then I will do that with Jake and Nina."
Willow overheard her mother-in-law. She called the main house and Monica answered the phone. Willow told her what Carly was saying to Michael. Sonny and Jason needed to know what was going on. Monica told her to stay calm with Wiley. Monica called Jason and told him where Carly was at the time and threats being around Elizabeth, Nina and Jake.
Dante heard what was going on and he called it in. The officers showed up at the gatehouse before Carly could leave. They picked her up and brought her to the police station. Jason, Sonny, Dante and Drew headed over there to make sure that Carly was locked up.
Drew had called Bobbie up so she would know what was going on with her daughter. It was decided that Carly needed major help and she was being sent to Fern-Cliff. She would be put in a more secure place with the best help for her to come back to her family someday. It would take a long time, but she would be able to leave someday. Jason called Elizabeth to tell her about Carly. Everyone was relieved to hear about her getting the help that she needed. The plans that were put in place for Cam and Joss were still on. It would do the two of them a lot of good to get away and relax. Cam was glad that he was going with Joss to spend time with her father. She had a lot to think about and she may stay longer in Australia and go back to school there. She had dual citizenship since her father lived there full time.
Spencer, Trina, Joss and Cam were meeting at Kelly's for breakfast. Spencer heard about everything that was going on and realized that his life was less complicated than most of his family and friends. Trina had just found out that someone had stepped up to say that Esme was the one that took the video, and it was not her. Spencer knew that Esme was about to go after him for his betrayal, but he was not in love with her. He loved Trina.
