Hello lovelies!
Another week, another chapter! Welcome back! °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°
I decided to skip out on the Judgment fight, not much could be changed and said in those two episodes for me to rewrite so I decided to start where Joseph, Jotaro & Noriko are worried about Polnareff's whereabouts.
The phone call has been shortened a tad bit between Joseph & Suzie Q then with Suzie Q & Jotaro.
I hope you all enjoy! ~('▽^人)
High Priestess, Part 1
It was past sundown, Jotaro, Noriko and Joseph had been searching for Polnareff all over the small island since he walked off on his own from them. When they had arrived on the island, they encountered Avdol's father, or so that's what Polnareff thinks since the rest of the group knew it really wasn't him. Polnareff had felt guilty for Avdol's death, believing it was his fault that his friend died when he was avenging his sister's death. But because of that he dispersed himself from the group, wanting to be alone and thinking how he would tell Avdol's father about his son's death.
"I wonder if he encountered an enemy Stand user." Noriko wondered, looking around.
All three Crusaders were by the shore.
"I highly doubt it, none of Dio's followers are aware that Avdol's alive and where he has been staying." Joseph said.
"I would agree with you on that Mr. Joestar, but Dio knows you and JoJo's whereabouts twenty-four seven, I'm sure an enemy is already here." Noriko said, crossing her arms.
"Hmm, you're right about that." Joseph furrowed his brows, now concerned.
"Hey guys! You'll never believe this!" Someone called out.
The Joestar group turned their heads and met with a wounded Polnareff. Blood was trailing down his face, chest and arms. He had a huge grin on his face.
"Guess who I just met?!"
"Polnareff! We have been worried about you!" Joseph stated.
"How did you get those wounds? Were you attacked by an enemy Stand?" Noriko queried.
Polnareff approached Noriko, leaning forward close to her face.
"Who cares about my wounds!" Polnareff exclaimed, still having a grin on his face with his eyes widened. He turned to Jotaro, pointing at him, "Listen, don't be shocked, Jotaro!" He then pointed at Noriko. "And don't pass out once you hear this Noriko!"
He lastly walked over to Joseph, "Who do you think I just met, Mr. Joestar?!" He placed his fists on the elder Joestar's chest, holding in his excitement for a brief second.
"Behold and rejoice! Tum-ta-da-da!" Polnareff twirled away and held out his arm to the side, a figure walking out of the tall grass.
"Here he is! That bastard Avdol is alive!" Polnareff announced.
They stood there in silence, staring at Polnareff.
"Well alright then, let's get going." Joseph breaks the silence, picking up his luggage.
"Huh?"
"I'll help you carry your luggage, Noriko." Avdol offered, walking over to the teens.
"Oh, that's not mine, JoJo is carrying mine already. That's his luggage." Noriko said.
"Then I'll carry your luggage, Jotaro."
"Hey, Avdol." The delinquent greeted him.
"It's been a while, hasn't it, Mr. Avdol?" Noriko asked with a smile. "How are you?"
"Avdol, is the wound on your back all right?" Joseph queried.
"It's fine, Mr. Joestar. A bit stiff, though." Avdol replied.
All four of them began walking away while Polnareff stood there in shock. He felt as if he was missing something since they don't seem surprised that their friend came back from the dead and are having a casual conversation with him.
"Hey! You assholes! What's the meaning of all this?!" Polnareff shouted, making the rest stop and look back at him. "A guy who was dead just came back to life! What the hell?! What's with the casual conversation?!"
"Oh, sorry Polnareff but when I said I buried Avdol back in India… It was a lie." Joseph confessed.
"Wh-Wh-WHAT?!" Polnareff cried out in shock and fell on the sandy ground.
"It was Mr. Joestar and Jotaro who tended the wounds on my head and back in India." Avdol stated.
Polnareff stared at everyone while gritting his teeth. He immediately stood up and clenched his fists. "Y-You assholes knew that Avdol was still alive in India and you didn't even tell me?!" He turned his gaze to Noriko.
"And you too, Noriko?!"
"I found out a few hours later." Noriko said. "But we couldn't let the enemy know. And since you have such a big mouth-" She stopped before correcting herself and raising a hand in defense. "Pardon, since you can't lie, Mr. Joestar and JoJo suggested we keep it a secret from you."
"If you had fucked up and let the secret slip, Avdol wouldn't have recovered in peace." Jotaro said.
"We were planning on telling you as soon as we knew he was safe, but we didn't think you would run into him first." Noriko explained.
"Oh yeah, Avdol! Your father is on this island! Let's let him know that you're here!" Polnareff turned around to run back to the small house that was centered on the island.
"Oh, that was me in a disguise." Avdol admitted.
The confession threw Polnareff off that he fell face first on the sand.
"W-What?!" Polnareff asked, looking over his shoulder with tears in his eyes. "Y-You mean to tell me that you guys…that all of that was…"

"Get lost!" Avdol's "father" yelled at the Joestar group. "No one ever comes to me with good news! I ain't trying to hear it!"
Right after he ran inside his home, Joseph mentioned that he'll try to talk to him and telling him the news of Avdol's death would be difficult. Polnareff was upset and guilty by this. Joseph tried to assure him it wasn't his fault that Avdol died.

"Did you all have to go that far?! We're all friends here and you guys just left me out like that?!" Polnareff asked, hurt by the betrayal with tears running down his cheeks.
"Hey now, Polnareff, there's no need to cry." Joseph assured him.
Noriko frowned, she felt guilty for lying to the Frenchman but it was for Avdol's sake. She placed a hand on her chest, "I'm sorry, Polnareff, I didn't think you'd be this hurt…"
Jotaro sighed, pulling the brim of his hat down.
Avdol crouched down next to Polnareff, placing a hand on his shoulder, giving him a smile. "My apologies Polnareff, but I had a good reason to come to this island in disguise."
"A good reason?"
"Although part of it was to avoid the enemy figuring things out, I also had Avdol do some shopping for me." Joseph said.
"Some shopping?"
"It was a very conspicuous purchase." Avdol remarked. "I disguised myself as a wealthy Arab to purchase it."
"All right, everyone! Time to go!" Joseph helped Polnareff stand up and began pushing him to go ahead.
"Polnareff, cheer up already, come on!" He reassured him before pointing out in the ocean.
"It's almost here!"
"What are you talking about? What's almost here?" Polnareff asked. "I don't see any-WHAT?!"
A giant golden submarine surfaces from the ocean, approaching the Crusaders.
"A-A submarine?!" Polnareff shouted.
"That's right! We're heading to Egypt with this bad boy!" Joseph stated.
"N-No way!" Polnareff stammered in shock. "You seriously bought this?!"

Inside the submarine, Avdol was piloting it while Joseph and Polnareff looked over his shoulders.
"Hey, you know how to drive this thing, Avdol?" Polnareff asked, standing behind the Fortune-Teller.
"Tsk. Tsk. No problem. No need to worry." Avdol assured.
"I can drive it, too!" Joseph exclaimed with excitement.
"But you're not going to." Jotaro abruptly stated.
The three Crusaders turned their heads at the delinquent.
"I'm not letting you crash us again."
"Hmph! My grandson sure is harsh." Joseph remarked.
"So a submarine, huh?" Noriko commented, looking around the spacious and luxurious room with a hand on her hip. She stood next to a table that was in the center of the room with Jotaro sitting in one of the chairs. "This is the first time I've ever been in one. It isn't as cramped as I expected it to be."
"Yeah. Normally you'd see a vessel like this used by the rich to explore the seafloor for pleasure." Joseph said, uncrossing his arms. "As you can see, it even has-"
"Woah! This looks amazing!" Polnareff interrupted the elder Joestar, pushing him aside as he ran towards a circular window. He gazed out the window, "I love this sort of stuff! However, it would be better if I was accompanied by a cute girl…" His eyes averted to the red-haired teen who pretended she didn't hear him with her back turned to him.
Jotaro, with his eyes shadowed by his hat, shot a quick glare at the Frenchman.
"It would seem you truly have not changed, Polnareff." Avdol said with a smirk. "We did not come all this way to play around."
Polnareff noticed Joseph was staring at one of the machinery that beeps every second. "What is that?" He asked.
"It's a sonar." Joseph replied. "It detects reflected sound waves underwater, kind of like a radar."
"Eeeh?!"
"All clear. Nothing is heading our way." Avdol stated.
"If an enemy tries to attack us from any direction, we'll be able to see them." Joseph added.
"Woah!" Polnareff awed from the information.
"But if we're attacked in here, we're shit out of luck." Jotaro said. "We're sixty-meters below sea level."

It was now ten p.m., it was gonna be a long night before they could reach Egypt early in the morning.
"I guess I should have expected this in a luxury submarine for the wealthy." Noriko noted. "A refrigerator, coffee maker…" She turned to the side, "And the latest satellite phone."
At those words, a certain person came into mind for Joseph. He walked over to the phone and stood there for a moment, thinking of what to say before he could dial the person he's about to call.
"Hey, Noriko, can you get me something to drink? I'm parched!" The Frenchman said.
"For me as well, Noriko." Avdol said.
"Sure." Noriko replied instead and opened the refrigerator, seeing three colas. "Is Cola okay?" She asked.
"Hey, Gramps…" Jotaro called out. "You're just standing over there not moving, what's up?"
Joseph raised a hand, "I need everyone to stay quiet. I'm going to make a phone call."
"A phone call? To where?" Polnareff queried.
"To go through the trouble of making a phone from here, it must be something important." Noriko said.
"It is. This is important and very delicate..." Joseph said before dialing the number and placing the phone by his ear. "Just remain quiet for a few minutes." He heard the ringing a couple of times before someone answered.
"Yes, hello?" It was an elderly woman who answered the phone.
"Hey Suzie Q, It's me." Joseph greeted.
"Oh Joseph! It's you!" Suzie Q said cheerfully, happy to hear her husband's voice after so long. "It's been so long! By the way, where are you? I'm having trouble hearing you."
"Y-Yeah...Sorry about that, I'm at a hotel right now." Joseph continued speaking. "Sorry, but work is keeping me from coming back home any time soon… Y-Yeah, I'm sorry. By the way, Suzie, have you talked with Holly lately?"
At the mention of his mother's name, Jotaro glanced up at his grandfather.
Joseph closed his eyes, knitting his brows a bit. "No, you shouldn't bother. She'll be fine soon enough. You're such a worrywart."
"He calls this an important and delicate conversation?" Polnareff whispered to the group at the table.
"Yes." Avdol replied, he had put the submarine on autopilot when Joseph started his call. "Madam Joestar is quite sprightly, so Mr. Joestar must check in with her every now and then to ensure that she will not visit Ms. Holly in Japan, and discover the truth."
"Does that mean she doesn't…?" Noriko asked.
Avdol nodded, "Of course, no one has spoken a word to her about it. She would needlessly be worried."
Jotaro looked back at his grandfather, he was nervously scratching the side of his head.
"Uh-huh...Suzie, could you please let me talk to Rosas?" Joseph nervously asked. He waited for a moment, hearing his wife and Rosas exchange a few words before it went silent.
"Where's Suzie?" Joseph asked, wanting to make sure his wife wouldn't hear Rosas. "I see… right now I'm calling you from the submarine I mentioned before."
"Ah, so you managed to safely meet up with Master Avdol?" Rosas asked.
"Yes. Tell me… How is Holly doing? Have you gotten a hold of the doctors from the Speedwagon Foundation?"
"Yes, well… Ms. Holly tells us over the phone that she's suffering nothing more than a cold. She is quite insistent… But her condition grows worse by the day! Master Joseph, perhaps it's in our best interest to tell Madam Joestar?"
Joseph frowned, thinking about the suggestion. He didn't want his wife to worry and see how their daughter was doing. He knew she had every right to know, after all, she's the mother of Holly.
"No." Joseph replied, making his decision. "There's no need for that. We're going to put an end to this soon. It's better that she sticks to her daily routine. Under no circumstances should you tell Suzie anything. I'll keep in touch."
"As you wish, Master Joseph, I pray for your safe return."
And with that, both Joseph and Rosas hang up. Joseph stood there with his hand still on the phone after placing it back down. He had a troubled expression.
"You have my sympathy, Mr. Joestar." Noriko said sincerely, her hand placed on one of the chairs of the table.
"Don't worry about it, we're right here for you!" Polnareff stepped in. "We're right at Egypt's door!"
"We'll defeat Dio as soon as possible and save Ms. Holly! It is for this reason why I have returned." Avdol said, placing a hand over his chest.
Joseph managed to give a small smirk, closing his eyes, "Thank you everyone."
Noriko silently placed her delicate hand on Jotaro's shoulder, showing comfort to him. Jotaro didn't mind, her touch put his worries at ease.
After all that, Noriko went back to the refrigerator and got the last three colas, giving it to the rest of the group. Polnareff got behind the wheel of the submarine, pressing a button to undo the autopilot.
Both hands were on the steering wheel. "Hey, this isn't so hard! Now I see why you were so good at steering earlier, Avdol." He barely moved the steering wheel and the submarine hit the coral reefs from below.
The submarine screeched as it shook from the hit.
"I swear…" Avdol muttered before shooting a glare at the Frenchman. "Hey, watch yourself!" He scolded. "There are many obstacles in the sea such as coral reefs!"
"Yeah, yeah, I know." Polnareff waved his hand. "All right! Let's speed this baby up-"
The submarine violently quaked and made a loud screeching sound. The rest of the Crusaders stood there, staring at Polnareff.
"Polnareff!" Avdol yelled at the Frenchman in anger, gripping his shoulder.
"I didn't do that!"
Many hours have passed, occasional naps occurred but it was too uncomfortable to sleep in the chairs.
Polnareff yawned, rubbing one of his eyes. "So sleepy…" He muttered. "Are we there yet?"
Noriko was looking around and pulled one of the drawers, finding some cups. "One, two, three, four, five…" She counted the cups. She picked one of them up and held it in front of her face. "Oh, there's exactly five cups in here." She informed the group.
"Hey! Hurry up and make me some coffee!" Polnareff demanded. "I'm thirsty!"
"Then make it your damn self!" Noriko snapped at the Frenchman, giving him a glare.

Around ten minutes before five a.m., Avdol pulled up the periscope to look at their surroundings. He shook his head when he spotted the land of Egypt not too far from them.
He turned his attention to the group with a smile. "Everyone! The coast of Africa is visible!" The rest smiled at the news. "Our arrival is imminent!"
Stepping away from the periscope, Avdol pulled out a map and placed it on the table. Everyone gathered together, surrounding the table. Avdol pointed at a spot on the map.
"Near this coral reef, there is an underwater tunnel formed by erosion. The exit is two-hundred meters inland. We'll surface there." Avdol told them.
"So we finally made it to Egypt…" Joseph said.
"Yeah, finally." Polnareff agreed.
"Egypt, huh?" Jotaro muttered.
Noriko simply nodded with a hum.
"Yes, finally." Avdol added.
"Hmph." Polnareff huffed.
"Is something wrong?" Avdol asked.
"Nah, I'm just really happy." Polnareff replied. "It's been a long time since the five of us were together."
The Crusaders silently nodded in agreement.

Noriko stepped away from the group to prepare some coffee for everyone. They were all sitting at the table, waiting for her. She came back with the cups of coffee and placed them on the tale, serving the group. Jotaro raised a brow when Noriko placed the last cup on the table, he noticed there were more cups than the group.
"Hey, Noriko." Jotaro said, not taking his eyes off the cups. "Why did you bring six cups? There's only five of us here…"
Noriko glanced down at the table. Jotaro was right. There were six cups on the table instead of five.
"Huh, that's odd. I guess I wasn't paying attention." Noriko said, confused. "But I could've sworn I made five…"
Joseph grabbed one of the cups, not paying too much mind into it. Before he could take a sip, the coffee transformed into a formless, inorganic shape. One of its arms shaped into a blade and sliced Joseph's prosthetic hand off.
"Wha-?!" They were all taken by surprise and immediately stood up from their chairs.
The creature attached to the prosthetic hand, in mid air, sliced the fingers off and shot them back at the elder Joestar to his throat, knocking him out.
"Gramps!" Jotaro screamed.
"Mr. Joestar!" Noriko cried out.
Whatever it was, the creature landed on the table, knocking the coffee down on the floor as it hissed. The small creature wore a tribal mask with vicious eyes and bared fangs for a face, and clawed thin, muscular arms sprouting out a mush of inorganic matter.
"Impossible!" Polnareff said as he and the rest took a step back.
"A Stand somehow made its way into our submarine!" Avdol stated.
Not bothering to waste any time, Jotaro summoned Star Platinum and tried to attack the enemy only for it to dodge his punch. The new Stand landed on one of the gauges and sunk into it like liquid.
Noriko quickly rushed over to Joseph and checked up on him. "Mr. Joestar!"
"I-It disappeared!" Polnareff yelled.
"No, that's not it!" Jotaro said.
"It transformed!" Avdol shouted. "It transformed into one of the gauges! Just like how it transformed into one of the coffee cups!"
"Are you serious?!" Polnareff asked. "We're at the coral reef! We're only a few hundred meters away from surfacing Egypt!"
"Mr. Joestar is unconscious but his wounds are not deadly." Noriko informed, she was on the floor with an unconscious Joseph placed on her lap. "He only lost his prosthetic hand."
Suddenly the phone began to ring.
"T-The phone?! Who's calling at a time like this?!" Polnareff asked in annoyance.
"Just ignore it, Polnareff!" Noriko snapped at him. "Don't get distracted!"
"It's High Priestess." Avdol said with his arms crossed, making everyone look at him. "Our enemy's Stand is represented by the High Priestess tarot card."
"You know about it?" Jotaro queried.
"I've heard of it." Avdol replied. "We're dealing with a Stand user named Midler. She can control her Stand across vast distances, so most likely she is on the surface."
"What are her Stand's abilities?" Noriko asked.
"It is able to turn into metal, glass, or any kind of mineral. That includes plastic and vinyl's, of course. Even if we manage to touch it, unless it is attacking us, we will have no way of seeing it."
"B-But how the hell did it get in here?" Polnareff asked.
Right on queue, one of the gauges behind them broke off and water started coming in with the alarm going off. Everyone turned their heads at it, now knowing how the Stand was able to sneak in.
"I see… So that's how she did it." Polnareff muttered as the water rapidly rose to their ankles. "How quaint, it made a hole to get in?"
Noriko quickly stood up and with the help of Avdol, the Fortune-Teller picked up Joseph, holding him with his arm wrapped around him as he walked over to the controls.
Avdol shook his head, "She damaged the ballast tanks! We're sinking faster!"
Noriko stood next to him and gasped, "We're already running out of oxygen! It's impossible to navigate!"
The phone rang again, irritating Polnareff.
"Jesus! Enough already! Who the fuck is calling?!" Polnareff yelled.
They saw Jotaro walk over to the phone, surprising the Crusaders.
"Eh?! Jotaro?!" Polnareff exclaimed.
Jotaro raised his hand to grab the phone.
"H-Hey! Don't needlessly touch any-!"
Ignoring Avdol's warning, Jotaro silently picked up the phone and placed it next to his ear.
"Hi Joseph, it's me again!" It was Suzie Q, Jotaro's grandmother. His face softened from hearing her voice again. He hasn't heard from her in such a long time.
"I wasn't finished talking to you so I forced Rosas to give me your number." Suzie Q cheerfully said.
Jotaro doesn't answer her but his grandmother grew curious about the background noise. She could hear the sound of the alarm and the water coming inside the submarine, but she assumed it was a bathtub that was clogged up and that the 'hotel' Joseph was staying in was rowdy. She began asking why Joseph wasn't talking.
"Sorry, but Gramps isn't available right now." Jotaro answered her, making the old woman gasp, recognizing the voice.
"Jotaro?! Where is Joseph?!" Suzie Q asked. "Y-You should be in Japan! Why are you with your grandfather?!" Not hearing her grandson answer, she grew desperate and stood up from her chair.
"Answer me, Jotaro!" She demanded.
"There's nothing to worry about, Grandma Suzie." His words made the woman silently gasp. "I'm with the Old Man. Later, we'll call you back once things cool off."
"Jotaro-!"
And with that, he hung up the phone.
"Everyone hold on!" Avdol warned. "We're about to hit the seafloor!"
The submarine was going fast, heading straight into the bottom of the sea.
"OH MY GOD!" Polnareff screamed, and at that moment, the submarine collided with the seafloor. "I knew this would happen! Every vehicle we ride in gets destroyed!"
Jotaro groaned, shakily placing a hand on the controls as a support for him to stand back up on his feet. He pulled the brim of his hat down, covering his dark-eyes.
"I will never ride in a submarine ever again…" He muttered out.

Back in New York, Suzie Q has been trying to call back Jotaro. Every time she kept calling back, there was no longer any ringing, as if the line went dead. She had a concerned look on her face. She had many questions to ask her grandson and her husband. She stood by the window, seeing her own reflection.
"How strange…" She said and hung up the phone. Rosas was standing beside her. "It was going through until a moment ago, it's almost as if the line went dead." She briefly looked down at her feet before looking out at the skyscrapers.
"But… Why was Jotaro…?"
x

Jotaro helped the red-haired teen get back on her feet by giving her a hand while Polnareff helped Avdol pick up Joseph. Avdol placed the unconscious elder Joestar on the Frenchman's back.
"H-Hey, we're losing oxygen in here…" Polnareff panted.
"Noriko."
Noriko turned her attention to the delinquent, who was staring at the multiple gauges above the controls.
"Did you see which gauge the Stand turned into?" Jotaro asked her.
Noriko silently approached him, standing next to him and slowly lifted a finger, pointing at one of the gauges.
"I...I think it turned into this one." She said, visibly shaking. She wasn't entirely sure.
Jotaro raised a hand for her to back away so she wouldn't be harmed. She stepped away from him and watched him summon Star Platinum, the Stand's fist slowly moved closer and closer to the gauge. The tension was building up as the Crusaders silently watched Jotaro. But in the corner of Avdol's eye, he noticed the red lamp behind Noriko was flickering and it quickly transformed.
"No Jotaro! The Stand already moved! It's right behind Noriko!" Avdol screamed, making the delinquent look over his shoulder in surprise.
With her quick reflexes, Noriko managed to dodge High Priestess' reach.
"HIEROPHANT GREEN!"
The humanoid green Stand manifested and lunged at the enemy, the Stand's hand slammed onto the controls only to see High Priestess had dodged her attack and charged at her, scratching her neck with her claw-like nails.
"AGH!" Noriko shrieked from the pain and placed a hand over her wound.
"Noriko!" Avdol cried out.
This angered Jotaro and directly charged at the enemy Stand with Star Platinum, trying to punch it. He ended up punching the controls and High Priestess was on the ceiling. The Stand snarled at Jotaro before disappearing once again.
"Everyone head for the door!" Avdol ordered. "It's become part of the hull and is moving across the surface!"
"Tch! You say that but it's easier said than done…" Polnareff said.
"If we just keep staying in this room we'll end up getting wounded." Avdol averted his attention to the wounded red-haired girl. "Noriko, are you alright?"
"Y-Yeah…" Noriko softly answered. She noticed Jotaro was staring at her and looked back into his aquamarine eyes. She gave him a simple nod, assuring him that she's okay.
"Quickly! Into the next room!"
They all followed behind the Fortune-Teller, running behind him with their shoes splashing the water beneath them. The water had risen a bit higher than before.
Avdol placed his hands on the crank and glanced at everyone. "We'll seal this room and trap it inside!" Looking back at the crank, he widened his eyes in horror.
High Priestess had transformed itself into the crank. It was looking back at him, hissing while gritting its teeth.
"I-Impossible!" He muttered out. "It moved so fast and transformed itself into a door handle!"
High Priestess extended its arms, revealing its sharp claws that had sliced Joseph's prosthetic hand.
"I-I have to take my hands off the crank! Those are the very same claws that cut off Joseph's prosthetic hand! " Avdol thought, panicking.
Its sharp nails charged at Avdol's hands but before it could lay its nails on the Fortune-Teller, a purple hand grabbed High Priestess' wrist and snatched it off the crank. Holding the Stand securely between Star Platinum's hands.
"Yes! You caught it!" Polnareff cheered with a fist pump in the air.
"T-That was close…" Avdol said, relieved.
"I see that it can't move as fast as Star Platinum." Jotaro pointed out. The small Stand was squirming and growling from the tight hold. "What should we do with it?"
"Don't hesitate, Jotaro! Show no mercy! Hurry up and rip its head off!" Polnareff grinned.
"Aye-aye sir." Jotaro replied and began crushing High Priestess with Star Platinum by applying more pressure on the Stand's head.
Suddenly High Priestess transformed again but into a razer blade, cutting Star Platinum's hands. Blood dripped down on the water.
"F-Fucker…" Jotaro grunted from the pain, looking at his bloody hands. "It turned into a damn razer blade!"
The razer flew past between Polnareff and Noriko, making the two Crusaders move away. This caused the Frenchman to flinch, making him drop the unconscious Joestar in the water from his back. High Priestess was again back on the ceiling, laughing at the Crusaders.
"I-Impossible!" Jotaro muttered.
"It's so strong!" Avdol said.
Joseph woke up and sat up, coughing out the sea water from his mouth.
"I can't believe it managed to attack JoJo…" Noriko commented, her eyes narrowed at the Stand and her delicate hands formed into a fist. She was angry at it for hurting Jotaro and her annoying laugh was pissing her off even more.
"This bitch…" She muttered under her breath as her face darkened, glaring at the enemy.
Joseph noticed the Stand in the ceiling but was confused by everything that was happening.
"W-What the hell is going on?!" He asked everyone. "I'm not sure what's happening but why are we in a pinch?!"
"Shut the fuck up, Gramps." Jotaro snapped at his grandfather. He was already irritated and pissed off by the enemy that he refused to deal with any jokes or annoying remarks from his grandfather.
A red aura glowed around Avdol, "If we touch it, it'll attack us. So we just need to avoid touching it!"
"Magician's Red!"
The Phoenix bird-Stand quickly manifested and launched its attack from its mouth, throwing a fire projectile at High Priestess. High Priestess dodged it by moving to the side.
"Silver Chariot!" Polnareff's Stand appeared and charged his rapier at the enemy but High Priestess quickly turned itself into a solid metal that it couldn't be pierced.
"Damn it!" He cursed. "It's too hard. My Chariot's rapier can't even pierce it!"
High Priestess laughed again at their failed attempts to attack it.
Joseph stood up from the water, "We should strike while it's still visible."
"Everyone, stand back!" Avdol said and quickly opened the door.
Polnareff took a deep breath when he entered the next room, "There's still oxygen over here!" He said before running down the hall.
"But it's only a matter of time…" Noriko reminded the Frenchman as she followed behind him.
"Are you all right, Mr. Joestar?" Avdol asked.
"Yeah." Joseph replied.
Avdol noticed the delinquent hadn't moved from his spot. "Forget it, Jotaro! It'll just transform again!" He warned. "We're sinking and the water is rising! We need to seal off this room and trap it inside! After that we'll figure out how to defeat it together!" And with that, the Fortune-Teller turned around and followed behind the rest of the Crusaders.
It was just now High Priestess and Jotaro alone. The enemy Stand once again laughed at Jotaro before disappearing into the ceiling, failing to notice the dark look he had on his face hidden beneath the brim of his hat. He tilted his head up, his brows were furrowed together, revealing his angered aquamarine eyes.
"No… I, Kujo, Jotaro, will personally beat you to death." Jotaro declared.
He turned around and entered the next room, finding Noriko waiting for him by the door. He slammed the door shut and grabbed her soft, small hand into his calloused one, ignoring the pain from the cuts he received earlier, dragging her with him as they ran.
Noriko's heart was beating like crazy and felt butterflies in her stomach again. She didn't care that some of his blood was transferring to her skin. The moment his hand touched hers, she felt a tiny spark between them. Instead of looking forward, she was only staring at the delinquent. These strange feelings were coming back again and they only occurred while she's with Jotaro.
She heard from her female classmates of the signs of loving someone, and these feelings she felt was how they described them.
"Am I…?"
"What the hell were you thinking, Jotaro?! You answered a phone call from Suzie?!" Joseph scolded his grandson while they ran, looking over his shoulder.
Noriko's thoughts were interrupted, she didn't realize they had caught up with the group already.
"Seriously, you shouldn't have done that!" Joseph looked forward, he didn't fail to notice that his grandson was holding Noriko's hand. "Well, it's whatever. We'll talk once we're through with this. Just leave it to me!"
"You have a plan, Old Man?" Jotaro asked, ignoring his grandfather's scolding.
"Yeah! And it's a brilliant one at that, too! I, Joseph Joestar, have dealt with situations like this before!" Joseph stated with a grin on his face.

Meanwhile in New York, Suzie Q continued to stare out at the night sky above the skyscrapers.
"Why was Jotaro with Joseph?" She asked herself. "Do you know anything, Rosas?"
Rosas immediately glanced down at the floor, "N-No…" He nervously replied.
A smile appeared on the elderly woman's face. "Still, it made me so happy to hear that boy's voice after so long." She looked over at a picture frame placed on a table, it was a photo of Holly with Jotaro smiling when it was his first day in High School. "I heard he's become rather wild lately but I know deep down, he's a sweet child who deeply cares for his family." She glanced back at the window.
"I'm sure he's helping Joseph out as best as he can."
Rosas had his back turned to her, he covered his mouth from any incoming muffling crying noises with tears running down his cheeks.
"Yes, Madam. Master Jotaro and Master Joseph are likely fighting an enemy together at this very moment." Rosas thought. "Your daughter, Miss Holly, is in danger and they continue to fight for her safety, despite the risks involved."

Back in the Red Sea, the five Crusaders continued running down the long hallway.
"What do we do now?!" Noriko asked. "I can't tell if it's us or the Stand that's trapped anymore! Sooner or later, it'll claw its way out of that room and get to us!"
"We are at a massive disadvantage in this closed space filled with machinery!" Avdol stated. "This submarine is done for! We have to abandon it and escape! We must surface in Egypt!"
"But we're forty-meters below sea level!" Polnareff pointed out. "It's not that deep but how the hell are we gonna get to the surface?!"
They made it to the end of the hallway and found scuba diving gear.
"So now we gotta scuba dive?" Polnareff asked, putting on the gear. "I've never done this before…" He sounded worried.
"Hm, I can't make the necessary preparations to dive without my hand." Joseph said and turned to his grandson. "Lend me a hand, Jotaro."
"Do it yourself." Jotaro replied while inspecting the scuba gear.
Noriko chuckled and approached the elder Joestar after putting on her gear, "I'll help you Mr. Joestar." She said sincerely.
"Thanks, Noriko."

In the previous room where they were attacked at first, the room was fully flooded. The table, chairs, phone, cups, and Joseph's prosthetic hand floated around. But in the deepest part of the sea, a giant grin was displayed as it laughed once more…
"HEKEKEKEKE!"
