Mariah's Bastet, Part 2

As Mariah continued to walk away, Avdol and Joseph struggled to get back on their feet since they're both stuck together.

"Wait!" Joseph shouted at Mariah. "S-Shit!"

They tried to move together as one, attempting to go after her.

"She went around the corner!" Joseph pointed out. "After her!"

When they tried to move, they both fell on the ground again.

"How can this be?! To think I end up as a human magnet…" Avdol whined.

"Calm down, Avdol!" Joseph told him. "There's no time to complain about her power! We need to focus on defeating her Stand!" He looked around. "Where the hell did she go?! Dammit!"

"I cannot see her!" Both men began thrashing around, attempting to separate. "Besides, we can't stay stuck like this forever! Get up slowly, Advol." Joseph suggested.

"Understood!"

A pedestrian walking by spotted them and stopped. He stared at the two men in confusion.

Both Avdol and Joseph managed to stand up again but their faces were still stuck together.

"We're up!" Joseph said. "Now let's try to separate. Since we're stuck together, it means we're being affected by twice as much magnetic force! Let's grab onto that fence over there then pull ourselves apart! Here we go, Avdol! Use your core muscles! Create a rhythm!"

"Yes, Mr. Joestar!"

"One, two!"

"One, two!"

"One, two!"

Both men repeated one after another, syncing their movements together to reach the fence. While doing that, two men watched them as they were confused about what they were doing. Noticing their stares, both Avdol and Joseph stopped.

"M-Mr. Joestar…" Avdol spoke up. "Th-This is exceedingly unflattering."

Joseph tried to look back at the two individuals, turning his head to the side which caused him to pull Avdol to the side as well. "Hey! What are you looking at?!" He called them out. "We're just practicing a dance! A dance!" He began moving side to side as if he were dancing.

"Y-Yes! D-Dancing outside is truly splendid, indeed!" Avdol added.

"Now get lost, dammit!" Joseph told the group.

And with that they stood up and walked off.

"Alright, Avdol, just a little more!" Joseph said. "One, two, and…"

They took a couple steps forward and reached the fence.

"We did it! We made it without tripping!" Joseph stated.

"I-Indeed we have!" Avdol said.

"Avdol, do you think you can slowly slide off of me?" Joseph asked.

"Yes, I believe so…" Avdol responded.

"All right…." Joseph grabbed onto the fence and held a tight grip onto it. "I'll hold onto the fence, you try to slide down my body moving your head towards my toes. Since our heads are sticking together, you should be able to separate at my feet, since the polarity will be the same."

"I-I see…" Avdol said and slowly began to slide down on Joseph's body.

It was going smoothly until Avdol stopped at Joseph's crotch. He knitted his brows.

"What's wrong, Avdol?" Joseph asked, confused as to why Avdol stopped moving.

"Th-This position…" Avdol nervously said. "Does it not appear compromising? Those watching may interpret this differently."

Joseph immediately blushed from embarrassment, "N-No one's looking! Just hurry and slide free!" He glanced to the side and let out a startled scream. "AAAGHH! They came back and brought even more of their friends!" Tears formed in his eyes with his cheeks still burning.

"H-Hey, kids! Go away! Quit gawking at us! Hey! I said go away, you damn brats!" Joseph yelled at them. He looked down at Avdol. "Avdol, hurry! Hurry up and slide off already!"

Embarrassed and stressed from what's happening, he began to try to shake Avdol off.

"That is easier said than done!" Avdol said. "I refuse to be reduced to such a role! I swear!"

"Fine, then I'll move!" Joseph said and moved to turn around.

"M-Mr. Joestar! Slow down!"

As soon as Joseph turned around, Avdol's face made contact with Joseph's buttocks. But when that happened, it separated the two men from each other. Both smiled in relief but that brief moment was cut short when Avdol's pelvic was pulled towards Joseph's buttock, putting them in a much more awkward position.

Blushing from embarrassment and getting more desperate to separate, Joseph attempted to shrug off Avdol by moving his body back and forth. Which didn't help their case at all and only made it worse. It made it look like they were doing something else, and that brought the attention of a familiar elderly woman they encountered earlier.

A gasp in horror made both men turn their heads at the person who made that sound.

It was the old woman from the hotel.

She had a disgusted look on her face. Her brows were furrowed, her teeth gritted. It was obvious she was furious.

"I-It's the old hag from the hotel!" Joseph said.

"I thought you were a wonderful gentleman, yet here you are taking part in such debauchery! You have some nerve to toy with a woman's heart! You cheating scum!" The elderly woman yelled at Joseph.

Filled with tears, Joseph couldn't handle it any longer. "Hurry! Hurry it up, Avdol! I'm actually gonna cry!" Joseph blurted out.

"You wretched man!" The woman screamed and sprinted towards Joseph. She began smacking him and Avdol with her umbrella.

"HELP ME! OH MY GOD!" Joseph pleaded.

"Miss you are mistaken-!" Avdol tried to explain but the woman kept hitting him.

As she continued to hit them, Avdol slowly moved to the side, an attempt to separate from each other. It worked and both men were thrown over the fence. They rolled down a hill at a fast pace.

"We have to stay apart from each other, Avdol!" Joseph warned. "The magnetism will only get stronger!"

"Damn you! You arrogant fool! Go to hell!" The woman cursed at Joseph as she watched them get away.

Avdol and Joseph rolled all the way at the bottom of the hill. As soon as they touched the ground, they heard a woman's chuckle.

It was Mariah. She was casually sitting on top of some concrete slabs while smoking a cigarette.

"There she is! That woman!" Avdol pointed out.

"She's got some guts to just sit there and smoke!" Joseph said. "Avdol, approach her from over there. Don't let her get away this time."

They both began making their move towards her, slowly.

"She's a devious woman. She may have set a trap for us." Joseph warned.

They took a few steps forward and suddenly felt a tug on their legs. Their feet were stuck on the railroad tracks. They had already fallen into Mariah's trap. Both Avdol and Joseph tried their hardest to get their foot off the track but their legs wouldn't budge. With the magnetism getting stronger, their feet slid towards each other and the moment they made contact, they both fell on top of each other on the tracks. They were now stuck to each other, again.

Mariah simply laughed at their failed attempt to get close to her.

Joseph was about to curse under his breath until he heard a very faint sound since his face was pressed against the railing. Lifting his head up, he glanced at the far distance of the tracks.

"What is it, Mr. Joestar?" Avdol asked.

"T-That sound… T-This is very bad! We have to move, Advol!" Joseph panicked. He looked over his shoulder, "Avdol, use your Magician's Red's flames to melt the rails! We have to move pronto!"

"B-But, Mr. Joestar-!" Avdol tried to object.

Then the sound of a train's horn and the train itself came into view from a distance, heading their way.

"It's coming! The train's coming! Hurry and melt the rails now!" Joseph told Avdol.

"I-I cannot! If I were to melt these rails, the train would derail, causing a terrible accident!" Avdol said.

Mariah chuckled and exhaled some smoke from her cigarette.

"T-That damn woman… How dare she?!" Joseph cursed under his breath and gritted his teeth.

Reaching out with his hand, he summoned Hermit Purple and the purple vines wrapped around a wooden post that's nearby Mariah.

"Even if I wanted to grab her, my Stand can't reach that far!" Joseph said. "But there's a chance I can use this pole to pull us free!" He began pulling himself along with Avdol on his back, across the tracks.

He grunted and groaned as he was trying his hardest to pull himself and Avdol free from the tracks. The wooden post even started to budge a little from Joseph's strength but it was no use. They weren't moving not even a bit since the magnetism was much stronger than before.

Avdol kept telling the elder Joestar to keep on pulling as the train was getting closer while Mariah sat there silently watching the two men struggle.

Joseph screamed on the top of lungs to pull themselves off the tracks but the wooden post broke. The train was now a few feet away from them and Mariah narrowed her eyes at them.

"I win." Mariah stated, seeing the train run over the two Crusaders. She tossed her cigarette to the side and stood up, crushing the cigarette with her shoe. She let out a laugh, feeling victorious.

"I've won, Lord Dio!" She said, "Now, my next move will be to kill Jotaro, Noriko, and Polnareff!"

As soon as the train passed, Mariah spotted smoke coming from the tracks. She found Avdol and Joseph huddled together in a hole.

"Hey, Avdol! Burning through the railroad ties and digging a hole was a great idea!" Joseph praised.

"Now this is more like it!" Avdol had a prideful smile on his face. "This bodes well with the image of Mohammed Avdol! I was born to play this kind of character!" He let out a hearty laugh.

Mariah frowned and clenched her fists. "That clever bastard…" She muttered in anger. "Why you…"

"YOU FUCKING BITCHES!" She screeched with her face all contorted.

Using Magician's Red, Avdol melted the rail he and Joseph were stuck on and Joseph called out Hermit Purple and wrapped the vines around Mariah's neck.

Despite now being caught into her enemy's hands, she showed no emotion.

"I got you!" Joseph stated. "Now, young lady…" He began. "'I hate to do this, but I need to strangle you hard enough to put you in the hospital. Your magnetism has been a real problem."

Instead of begging for mercy, Mariah smirked and suddenly one of her breasts grew large and the other did the same as well.

"HHMMM?!" Joseph was caught off guard from this.

"Must your mind wander to such dirty places?" Mariah teased and cupped the underside of her breasts. "My chest hasn't grown larger…"

She laughed as she took a few steps forward. "It's your magnetism that has grown stronger!" Something was inside her shirt that it was trying to get out.

"I was keeping these in my pockets…" She smiled, leaning forward and it was revealed that she had a bunch of screws and bolts stuffed inside her shirt. "My special pocket weapon!"

"Mr. Joestar, duck!" Avdol shouted.

But it was too late, the bolts and screws shot out of Mariah's shirt and a few struck on Joseph's arms. Avdol turned around and summoned Magician's Red to melt the tiny metal objects.

Mariah chuckled, staring down at the men with her golden eyes. "The magnetic force will only grow stronger," She informed them. "...until it finally crushes your bodies into a bloody pulp!" And with that being said, she took off running.

"She's escaping!" Avdol said.

"No, you're wrong. She isn't escaping." Joseph corrected. "She's controlling the distance between us. I'm pretty sure her battle tactic is to stay a certain distance away. If she comes too close, she'll get caught. Her magnetism is coming from her Stand, and by the rules that govern Stands, once the user is far away, their power will weaken!"

"So what should we do then?" Avdol asked. "She told us that the magnetism will continue to grow stronger. Should we flee until the magnetic force expires?"

"No." Joseph replied. "Even if we escape the magnetism, we won't have defeated her Stand. I, Joseph Joestar, have strategically retreated from fights in the past but once have I truly abandoned a fight! I'll keep fighting with everything I got!"

He slams his hand on the ground, summoning Hermit Purple and using Hamon to create a map of the city on the dirt.

"We're currently right here." Joseph pointed out. "The woman is over here." He points at a small pebble that's moving on the map. "She'll continue down this road, loop around and head back this way. We'll split up and catch the woman here!"

He uses Hermit Purple to wrap around some heavy rocks while Avdol pulls against a half-wall that's broken down.

"I won't think of her as a woman anymore! I'll get her no matter what!" Joseph declared.

And with that both Joseph and Avdol separated from each other.

"After her!"

Both men took off running.

"Hey, look!" A civilian said, pointing at the railroad.

"Look! The rails have been cut…" Another said.

A group of people started surrounding the railroad.

"People from the city have arrived." Avdol stated. "I'm sure they'll report the damage before the next train comes."

"Let's go!" Joseph said.

Meanwhile with the others, Iggy yawned before falling back asleep with Polnareff sitting crisscross on the ground next to him. The two teens stood by Polnareff. They were all still waiting outside of the hotel for Avdol and Joseph.

Out of nowhere, three people were running down the street, which grabbed the Crusaders attention. It appeared they were in a hurry.

"Hmm? Looks like something's going on." Polnareff said.

"Someone has cut the rail line!"

"Will the trains be okay?"

"They stopped running for now."

"Someone has cut the rail line?" Noriko asked as they watched.

"That's a pretty rude thing to do." Polnareff remarked. "Why would someone do such a thing? Are they stupid or something?" Polnareff let out a sigh, "Jotaro, Noriko, I gotta say… People like that always end up getting what they deserve

Noriko furrowed her brows, she was beginning to worry more about Avdol and Joseph's whereabouts. They're taking much longer than they should. What if what the people were talking about was about Avdol and Joseph? Were they in danger? Are they fighting an enemy?

Noriko then felt a hand on her back. It was Jotaro, he was trying to soothe her worries. She gave him a warm smile.

"Thanks, Jojo…" She whispered and leaned against him.

Jotaro returned her a smirk before glancing back at the people running. He too was also concerned and suspicious.

Both Avdol and Joseph continued their chase on Mariah. Anything made out of steel instantly flew and got stuck onto them. They even made sure to keep their distance so they wouldn't get stuck together again. But while chasing the woman, the two men were receiving strange stares from bystanders, Advol had a piece of the rail line on his back while Joseph had empty soda cans stuck onto him.

Mariah looked over her shoulder, seeing Joseph and Avdol catching up. "They're coming out fast…" She muttered, but they'll never catch up."

Joseph pointed at a direction for Avdol and he did as he was told. Both Crusaders split up. But the moment that happened, the magnetism grew stronger. More bigger objects were attracted to them. Even a bike got stuck onto Joseph. Fruit cans, trash cans, tires, and etc, were stuck onto Joseph that he slowed down. The magnetism grew so strong that he couldn't run anymore, he kneeled down.

Mariah chuckled, "Looks like you're having a hard time, Mr. Joestar." She teased. "Our game of cat and mouse is over."

Joseph narrowed his eyes, "You think so?" He asked. "I know these roads a hell of a lot better than you. Just look behind you."

Mariah gasped and turned around, seeing Avdol with a smirk on his face.

"This is a pincer attack!" Avdol stated. "We have you cornered. Here at the last moment, the tables have turned!"

Instead of feeling threatened, she glanced between the two men before letting out a laugh.

"A pincer attack, you say?" Mariah asked in a teasing tone. "You both sure are clueless. You think you have me cornered but it's really me who has you cornered! Look above you!" In a swift move, she threw a knife above and cut the electrical power lines.

"HIGH VOLTAGE POWER LINES!" Joseph cried out.

"Curses! Power lines are-"

Mariah laughed, "Yes! The power lines are magnetic!" She stated, cutting Avdol off. "You'll burn to a crisp!"

Seeing a few power lines coming his way, Avdol called out his Magician's Red and burned them. Unfortunately for Joseph, he could only summon his Hermit Purple and stop the wires from reaching him.

"Avdol is able to defend himself with his flames, but as for you, Joseph Joestar, you don't stand a chance." Mariah pointed out. She pulled out three more knives, "The difference between my Divine Bastet and your Hermit Purple…" She tossed the knives in the air once more, cutting more power lines.

"...IS GREATER THAN YOU CAN COMPREHEND!"

Joseph groaned as he tried his best to prevent the power lines from touching him while Avdol continued burning them.

"Women, I will burn you asunder!" Avdol declared.

Mariah only gave Avdol a devious smirk. The Fortune-Teller felt his entire body being pulled back. Suddenly a truck fell on top of him.

Avdol gasped, "Although my flames are capable of melting steel, I cannot defend myself from this!" He groaned. The magnetism grew stronger, making the truck slowly crush him.

Although Joseph was only able to stop the power line cables with his Hermit Purple, the insides of the cables were coming out.

"AAGHH! I CAN'T KEEP THIS UP!" Joseph yelled.

"Joseph Joestar…" Mariah began, "Since this is almost over, I must admit, you're an amazing man. Although I've only known you for a short time, you've enamored me with your wit, intelligence, and above all, your experience that younger men lack. You're a very charming man." She said with a lustful look on her face.

"Despite our age difference, I could see the two of us as lovers."

"I-I'm glad you feel that way…" Joseph said. He was going to take advantage of this opportunity to be saved. "So why don't you save me?"

Mariah hummed, not fully convinced.

"Your power is much greater than my Hermit Purple! I-I can't keep this up.. P-Please, stop your magnetism!" Joseph begged.

"You do have a point," Mariah said, not looking at him. "But I don't think so." She glanced back at Joseph. "You're not nearly as charming as Lord Dio."

"W-Will nothing convince you to stop the magnetism?!" Joseph asked, holding the wires was getting more difficult.

"I'm afraid not. You'll just have to die." Mariah replied nonchalantly, not caring.

"Even though I'm begging you?"

Annoyed, she shot a glare at Joseph, "You're far too persistent, fool."

Joseph's expression changed to a serious one, "Then you've lost, young lady." He stated.

"What?!" Mariah asked, confused.

Joseph moved his other hand from the sewer drain. His hand was covered in water and he was lifted from the ground.

"Oh Shi-!" Mariah quickly turned around to escape but her eyes widened in horror, letting out a gasp as she saw Avdol coming at her fast.

Not having a chance to run, she was crushed between Avdol and Joseph. The sound of her bones crushing, groaning and spitting out blood came from her.

"We told you earlier this was a pincer attack!" Joseph reminded her. "Magnets attract one another! Your luck had run out the moment you got between us!"

More blood and tears came from Mariah as she was unable to speak.

"I don't believe she can hear you, Mr. Joestar. She has fainted." Avdol said. "The combined weight and magnetic force has crushed her. I'm afraid she likely broke many bones."

In an instant all the stuff that was attached to the Crusaders fell off. They casually wiped off the dirt and dust off their clothes. Avdol even fixed his hair from the side mirror of the broken down truck while the bystanders stood there in shock.

Joseph put his hat back on, "So…" He began. "Does breakfast sound good?"

"Yes. I must say that running around has made me famished." Avdol remarked.

Joseph glanced at his watch, "It's already nine o' clock."

Under all the rubble and mess, Mariah tried to clench her fist.

"F-Fucking… B-Bitches…" She managed to mutter out before passing out.

The Stand User, Mariah and her Divine Bastet, has retired.

"They're taking forever." Polnareff whined. "What the hell are they even doing? Even a woman wouldn't take this long to get dressed."

Jotaro pulled out his watch from his pocket, "It's almost nine o' clock." He stated.

"Could it be that they actually encountered an enemy?" Noriko asked.

Jotaro nodded, placing his watch back in his pocket while Polnareff stood back on his feet.

"Then shall we go look for them?" Polnareff asked.

"Yeah, but good grief…" Jotaro muttered before turning around to look for their companions.

Noriko kneeled down and patted Iggy's head, "Come on, let's go." She told the Boston Terrier.

Standing back up, she followed behind Polnareff and Jotaro. Iggy barked in annoyance.

"I know, Iggy. We're all hungry too. We'll eat breakfast very soon, don't worry." Noriko assured him.

Unbeknownst to the group, a man with a strange hairstyle that looked like a dust mop with decorative beads hanging underneath watched them.

"While Joestar and Avdol are busy fighting Mariah, I, the great Alessi, will kill Jotaro, Noriko and Polnareff!" He let out a hysterical laugh.

His shadow from the ground extended into a strange shape. The top of the head revealed a pointy tip and humanoid eyes appeared on the shadow.

To Be Continued….

Nothing much is added for these two chapters except Noriko added to the scene BUT next chapter they will battle against Alessi! Which will also be a two-part chapter.
