"So, what crazy things do you guys want to do?" Luz asked.
"Maybe explore the mountain a bit more? See what we could find?" Amity asked.
"Like what? Find a Slitherbeast cave or buried treasure?" Boscha asked.
"There are ruins here, maybe there is treasure." Amity said with a shrug.
"Let's go!" Luz said.
Luz never thought treasure would be on the frozen mountain but one could dream! Even if there wasn't, they could still find something amazing like artifacts or history books.
"Come on, I want to go there and see if we can find something!" Luz said.
Luz grabbed their hands and pulled them away from the camp, full of new vigor for a dangerous adventure.
"We're coming." Amity said, "Right Boscha?"
Boscha said nothing.
"You're thinking about nachos, aren't you?" Amity asked.
Boscha nodded, she was still thinking about it. Amity didn't say it but she was also thinking about it. As the trio went adventuring, two friends we're currently walking through the Knee with weapons in hand.
"You sure this is a good place to train, Willow?" Gus asked, holding his ice boomerang.
"I'm positive, Gus. Most people don't come to the Knee, so it's the perfect place to train with our weapons without worry of hurting someone." Willow said to him.
"Plus, it helps keep the whole, mythical weapons secret." Willow said.
"Yeah, it's hard to practice around the house with dad and I do need more practice with this." Gus said as he was the last to get a magic weapon.
"And since it's an ice glyph, what better place than the Knee." Willow said.
Again, Willow made a good point as they found a nice and empty snow field to train in.
"Alright, this should be a good spot. Ready?" Willow asked as she held her hammer over her shoulder.
"As ready as I'll ever be." Gus said.
Both of them got their ready and began to count down for their training spar.
"On three, we get started." Gus said with a small smirk, spinning his boomerang. "One."
"Two." Willow said as she gripped her hammer with both hands.
"Three!" They both shouted!
They both started, with Gus throwing his boomerang at Willow, who swung her hammer at it, swatting it away like a bug. Willow charged and slammed her hammer on the ground, creating massive amounts of plants to prevent Gus from reclaiming his weapon. Gus quickly use Illusion magic to create clones, moving back as they were distractions and reclaimed his boomerang. He tapped the glyph and slashed at Willow to send flying waves of ices at her. Willow spun her hammer, breaking the ice with ease. She jumped into the air and aimed for Gus, raising her hammer up as the illusionist slashed the ground around him to form an ice shield. Willow's hammer bounced off the ice.
'Wow, that's some strong ice!' Willow thought, assuming her hammer would've smashed through it!
As she landed back on the ground, the shield opened and Gus was clad in his armor while throwing the boomerang at Willow again! Willow dodged it and clicked her own watch. Gus reclaimed his boomerang and jumped at Willow, slashing at she raised her hammer to block while her armor covered her body.
"You're gonna have to do better than that, Gus." Willow said as she pushed him back.
The two got ready to charge again, when a yellow figure dropped between them and used her swords to launch fire at them. They dodged and looked.
"Is this a private fight, or can I join?" Boscha asked, covered in her armor.
"Boscha?!" They said in surprise, not expecting her to be here.
"What can I say, I'm full of surprises." Boscha said, "Including the next ones."
Boscha whistled and two more armored figures came out of their hiding spots to land next to Boscha.
"Looks like our exploration has turned into a training session." Amity said as she placed her sword in her left shoulder. "At least it's not the coven this time."
"I hope you're ready." Luz said, holding her sword like a baseball bat, "Because this duel training session just turned into a five way free for all!"
'Oh Titan.' Gus thought as he gulped nervously.
"Don't worry, Gus, we'll go easy on you." Boscha said.
"Really?" Gus asked with little hope.
"…Nope. But it'll be good for you." Boscha said as she charged at Gus. "Keep up, rookie!"
"Nyah!" Gus said as he quickly raised his boomerang to block her swords.
Boscha swung at him, but was stopped by Luz and Amity's swords.
"Whoa! No hazing, Boscha." Luz said as has shook her head.
"I'm just kidding. I just wanted to give him a little scare. I'm not that Boscha anymore." Boscha said as she pulled away.
Luz and Amity knew that was a lie.
"In that case." A voice said, making Boscha jolt and turn around. "Boo."
A hammer hit Boscha and sent her crashing into a tree before she was buried in snow. Willow chuckled from the dirty hit, placing the hammer on the ground and leaning on it.
"That's one point for me." Willow said.
"That was payback, wasn't it?" Luz asked.
"Absolutely." Willow said.
Boscha's head pops out of the snow.
"I'm gonna turn you into a snowwoman after this!" Boscha said.
"Bring it, Three eyes! I can this all day!" Willow taunted her.
"Should we stop them?" Gus asked Luz and Amity. "This might get ugly."
"No, I think they need this." Luz said, "Even after becoming friends, they still have a LOT of bad blood between them over the years. I think fighting it out will be good for them."
"Even if they try to kill each other?" Gus asked as Boscha jumped at Willow, clashing her swords with the hammer.
"If they go for lethal blows, then we step in to stop them." Amity said to him.
"What if Boscha goes through with her threat?"
"Then we'll turn Boscha into a snowwoman too."
To prove her point, Luz showed the Monado in ice mode just to be save.
"Eat my flames!" Boscha shouted, sending Willow crashing into the snow with her armor steaming. "Be glad our armor is fire proof! You're welcome!"
Willow growled and slammed her hammer on the ground, causing massive amounts of snow to go flying from the impact and cover Boscha.
"I hope you also made them snow proof!" Willow said with a smirk under her mask.
"RAAAH!" Boscha shouted as she got up, spinning her swords before connecting them by the hands to make a double bladed weapon. "I'm gonna skewer you!"
"I didn't know she could do that." Amity said.
"I didn't either but it's so cool." Luz whispered.
"Do our weapons have other modes too?" Gus asked.
Boscha ran at Willow and swung her blades, which were deflected by Willow's hammer. Willow pushed her back and spun around, swinging her hammer as Boscha jumped to dodge! Willow then slammed her hammer on the ground, making Boscha lose balance as she landed on the ground.
"Give up, Boscha." Willow said.
"No!" Boscha said, jumping up, "You forget, I made these weapons."
Boscha pressed a spot on the hammer and the top fell off, leaving the handle.
"Don't worry, it can be fixed." Boscha said, preparing a spell, "Now take this!"
Willow also prepared a spell circle and they collided. When the smoke cleared... Boscha was a tree and Willow was stuck in a potion bottle.
"OH MY GOD/TITAN!" Luz, Gus, and Amity shouted in shock at the sight of them!
Their best friend was crammed in one of the smallest bottles they could imagine while their other friend/girlfriend was a Boscha shape tree!
"Guys, help! It's cramped in here!" Willow said, somehow her mouth not smushed into another part of her.
"Usually I'm into being turned into stuff but not this time!" Boscha said, her mouth and eyes being the only things able to move!
"Willow, can you change her back?" Luz asked, "Because we don't know how to reverse what she did to you."
"I would... but I can't move my arms." Willow said.
"At least you have hands!" Boscha said.
"Okay, calm down, we'll fix this... after going to Boscha's house and looking through her books." Luz said.
Amity, Luz, and Gus flew away from the knee, leaving Boscha and Willow behind.
"Great, see what you did?" Boscha asked.
"What I did!? Look what you did!" Willow said, "I am a full sized witch, stuck in an Elixir bottle!"
"Just be glad that I made it so your bones wouldn't snap like a twig!" Boscha said, "Which might happen with this stupid woodpecker pecking me!"
"What's your problem with me anyway!? Why did you decide to mess with me to begin with!?"
"I'm jealous of you! OKAY!? You're an amazing witch with amazing plant magic!" Boscha said, "I... I wanted to be in the Plant track, but I couldn't even make a flower bloom."
It got quiet for a second, before Willow spoke up.
"So... you wear glasses huh?" Willow asked.
"Yeah... Trifocals." Boscha said, making Willow laugh, "What? What's so funny?"
"It's just... those are the same kind of lenses I use."
"Really?" Boscha said before thinking about it, beginning to chuckle herself. "Your right, that is kind of funny."
"Did you mean it?" Willow asked, "About being Jealous? About wanting to join the Plant Track?"
"Yeah…..I was. I always found it so beautiful how a witch could make life flourish with the wave of a hand. To make something prosper with the right nudge." Boscha said with a smile.
Willow thought about it for a little bit.
"Try and move your roots." Willow said.
"What?" Boscha asked.
"Move your roots. You have the perfect chance to make life flourish right now. Just focus and you can make it happen." Willow said.
"O-o-okay."
Boscha focused on her roots and made them move, causing a few small trees to begin to sprout.
"See? You're doing it." Willow said with a smile.
"I... I actually used plant magic." Boscha said.
"It's a good feeling isn't it?" Willow asked.
"Yes it is." Boscha said with a smile.
"I can teach you to use Plant Magic if you want." Willow said, "As long as you never trap me in a bottle again."
Boscha laughed.
"I'm serious, my knees are pushing against my spine right now and it's very awkward and painful." Willow said.
"Okay, okay; I promise and in return, I'll teach you some transformation magic if you want." Boscha said with a small chuckle.
"Yeah, because this is totally a transformation." Willow said.
"Hey, I like a girl in a bottle, okay?" Boscha said, "Amity and Luz will probably spend some time in one. Don't know whether it will be together or apart though."
"Planning on joining them?" Willow asked.
"Probably. Which is why you may need to know this. Miss Mom Friend."
Willow rolled her eyes at the joke but laughed anyway, feeling the bad blood between them finally gone.
They stopped laughing as they heard a noise. A Slitherbeast came out of the woods and walked around.
"A slitherbeast!" Willow whispered.
"Don't... don't they like to chew on trees?" Boscha asked.
As she said that, the Slitherbeast bit down on her and pulled her from the ground, roots and all.
"OUCH!" Boscha screamed as the Slitherbeast began to leave. "Oh Titan, no!"
"Boscha!" Willow shouted, only able to watch as Boscha was taken by the beast.
"Willow!" Boscha said as the Slitherbeast went into the woods.
"Oh, Amity and Luz are going to kill me." Willow said.
