Author's notes:
2021-10-26: Hey, here's a short preview of the upcoming chapter of the story. I want you to know what I'm currently working on. Though it must be said that there I will be unable to continue writing for the next 1 - 2 weeks due to my final project. On a more personal note, I'm thinking about relaxing a little as soon as this whole mess is finally dealt with. So, the chapter will not - most likely - be finished within the next 2 weeks. Beforehand, I would like to apologise for that extended delay. However, life happens, I guess.
2021-11-01: Hey, I have a small update for you. I have only come back from my work trip yesterday, so I have had a limited amount of time to write anything. But, in the end, I have decided to give you a couple fragments more. I will try to finish the chapter asap, but I don't want to promise anything. Anyways, I hope you will enjoy it.
2021-11-05: Hey, the chapter has been finally fully released. Sorry for the delay. Will try to write some update as soon as possible. The current chapter will have one additonal part.
Don't forget to comment. I really appreciate your feedback.
Note that the dialogues written in italic are thoughts.
As always, I would like to thank you for everything. See you soon :)
Changelog:
[2021-10-26]: A preview was released.
[2021-11-01]: A small update.
[2021-11-05]: A chapter was finally fully released.
Info: I will be trying to focus on finishing some of the stories, rewriting some parts.
Info: I have decided to put 'The war call' into its own separate story. There, I will be slowly rewriting it and adjusting. However, it will take me some time to do so.
Info: Overall, the current plan is for me to write 'My home is where my heart lies' and 'Family tree' alternatively. Between the updates of these stories, I will try to upload other texts. Maybe, just maybe, I will be able to finish some of the short stories. However, I truly doubt that. It seems that most if not all of the stories will be extended both in terms of the time and the number of chapters.
Schedule for the nearest future:
1. My home is where my heart lies.
2. Family tree.
3. The rise of the Blood Moons' servants.
4. Fully original story.
5. Story of one lost soul.
6. Will you look past my mistakes?
7. Last Christmas.
Bonuses' section:
A new story taking place in the Warhammer 40k universe.
A story regarding KaiKali (aka Akali x Kai'sa) (Will you look past my mistakes?).
Sometimes it's just better not to know (possibly rewrite).
Kiss the rain (more than likely rewrite).
Whispers in the Dark (extending beyond 2 chapters story).
Story of one lost soul (translation of 2 of my old texts - previously written in polish).
Story of one lost soul: The war call: rewrite.

Akali's POV (a couple of minutes later):
"Yeah," the girl sighed deep inside her mind. "As expected, she will be the death of me."
By now, Akali should have been accustomed to that feeling. After all, Katarina's decisions were usually questionable, to say the least. Yet once again, the raven-haired teen seemed to fall into the same trap. The red alert should have risen already, but sadly, it had not happened.
Rogue's mind was set on loose the moment they reached the house's ground level. The girl would pretty much love to say that she was seeking the proper words to describe what was happening before her eyes. However, it would have been a lie.
She could feel her stomach content slowly rising, threatening to escape. The raven-haired girl felt sick. Frankly, she wanted to leave immediately, maybe throwing up a moment before. The sudden change in Akali's condition was, as expected, connected with the so-called 'party'. It was a sickening sight to behold, to say the least. Even though the teen considered herself a pretty tolerant person, some situations for her were inappropriate. One of such was performing extensive oral sex without regard to your current surroundings. Though if it had been the only inappropriate thing going on here, she would most likely just turn her eyes blind for that. But, unfortunately, it was not the case. The moment Rogue turned her head to the side, she was a semi-naked girl rhythmically rising and falling on top of some guy's laps.
If not for Katarina's hand still entangling hers, she would have run away. Still, her other, free hand was instantly used to cover he mouth. The need for puking was speedily growing on her.
"What's going on?" Katarina asked, finally noticing that something was off. "You're awfully pale; do you need some water?" she asked, her voice decently emphasising the concern.
Akali did not respond verbally; instead, a short nod was provided. The bloody-red-haired woman took a closer look at her girlfriend, frowning. That process took maybe a second or two, but it was still a welcomed gesture in Rogue's eyes. Katarina pulled the girl toward herself, not all that happy that she failed to spot the reason behind the strange behaviour.
With her right hand wrapped around Akali's waistline, the redhead started leading toward the kitchen. Then, suddenly, she found out what had upset her girlfriend. A silent curse was cast under her breath.
"I should have expected that," Kat sighed, wanting to facepalm herself so hard. "Why the hell have I invited Susan? Can someone answer that damned question?!"
For a brief moment, the host thought about closing the distance to the freaking slut. It would have been so pleasing to make an example of her. Though the pleasant idea was quickly discarded. After all, it was a rare chance for her to regain Akali's trust. And… it was worth much more than a fleeting moment of satisfaction. Her hold over the teen was strengthened as if Kat wanted to reassure the raven-haired girl.
Soon enough, they reached the kitchen. Although, it quickly turned out to be a premature delight. Thankfully, Rogue lowered her head slightly due to her current condition. Still, just cause of it, the host was given a chance to react.
"Tony, would you mind filling a glass of water for me?" she uttered, not even pretending that it was just an order wrapped with pleasantries.
"Can it wait a moment?" the male voice sounded in return. "We have a case on our hands… as you can see," followed by a chuckle.
"It can certainly wait," the redhead responded coldly. "And… you could just take one of the guest rooms for that," she pointed out tartly. "You can certainly do that somewhere else."
"Oh… come on," the man responded. "It's just a little fun. We're not doing anything special here, aren't we guys?" he asked.
A moment later, the gagging sounds began filling the room. In no time, these noises seemed to mix with quiet moans and sounds of sucking. Too bad, it was the time Akali decided to lift her head ever so slightly. The teen wanted to look around to get at least a glimpse of what was going on around her. But, sadly, her eyes were nearly instantly fixed on the source of these sounds. Just a couple of steps away from them, 3 men were sitting on the kitchen chairs. Though between them, a young ebony-skinned girl was kneeling, enthusiastically working with her lips. She was currently gagging on one of the men's length, completely not caring about the newcomers.
"Your friend looks kind of bad," the same man uttered, pointing out at Akali. "Is she wasted already? If so, feel free to leave her here; we'll be more than happy to keep an eye on her. Maybe even a little bit more than just the eye," he added, openly smiling at Katarina.
Before the redhead could respond, Rogue puked on the floor. The mixture that was thrown onto the ground was watery. It was an easy guess that Rogue had not eaten much today. Still, the disgusting smell of the gastric acid soon filled the kitchen.
After the reflux ended, several waves of convulsions came. Everyone in the room had their eyes on Akali whilst her frame was visibly shaking. The bloody-red-haired woman was dumbstruck, not knowing what to do. So, instead of helping, stabilising her girlfriend, all she did was starring. She kept starring as the teen struggled to regain control over her body, groaning in pain.
"Damn," one of the men sounded, evidently pissed. "That bitch puked on the floor. God, it's stinking here now. Take that bitch out, maybe put her in the cage with some dog. Perhaps, it'll teach her some manners! How can I enjoy my dong being sucked when shit like that happens?!" the black man started complaining.
Out of a sudden, the groaning was no more. The raven-haired girl was no longer shaken by a convulsive outburst. Instead, she had her eyes fixed on the still-sitting men. Behind the dark iris, hatred, disgust could be seen. Something had been ignited inside the ninja. And… based on her clenched jaw, nothing good was in a store for these men.
Kat tried to hold Akali down. However, it quickly turned out, she was no match for the teen's strength. The realisation speedily struck the host. It would not have been the first time. Even though she had not been a direct witness, she had heard enough. If she did not act, someone would get beaten pretty severely soon. And… she could clearly bet it would not be Akali on the receiving end of the beating.
"Oh, look at that bitch!" Tony raised his voice significantly, reaching the squeak level eventually. "She's looking better than a moment ago. Though it'd have been nice if she hadn't puked. But, damn… that fierce look in her eyes. She must have spotted Mike's cock and got horny out of a sudden. Come bitch, we're open for the additional company. Only one of us is having fun currently. And… it'd be nice to increase that number," the man continued talking shit with a smug smirk all over his face.
"Get Mike, Addy and that slut which is most likely Aster, out of here!" the bloody-red-haired woman demanded in a risen tone. "You've already pissed her off a lot!" she complained, struggling to keep Akali in place. "You have one last chance to get the fuck out before she'll beat your asses really bad."
"Kat, the fuck?" Tony nonchalantly asked, shrugging. "She's just feeling like sucking a big piece of meat. Let her have some fun," he added, not reading the situation correctly.
"Akali, please, calm down," Katarina tried to change the strategy. Instead of dealing with Tony and his apparently braindead friends, she opted to take her chances in changing her girlfriend's mind. "It's not worth the effort," she tried to convince the raven-haired teen.
Unfortunately, her efforts quickly turned out to be fruitless. With one strong yet somehow gentle pull, the ninja broke free from the redhead's hold. The moment it happened, she sparred a single glance toward frightened Katarina before fixing her eyes on the men. Within a heartbeat, she leapt forward; her feet seemed to barely touch the ground. Tony opened his arms widely, potentially daydreaming his sexual fantasies already. His broad smile changed into an open expression of surprise the moment the girl punched him right into the solar plexus, taking his breath away instantly. With the eyes opened as widely as possible, he was starring at the raven-haired teen. Her face, even though beautiful, did not show any signs of mercy. It was as if she was wearing an emotionless mask. Tony tried to say something, tried to beg, yet no words escaped his mouth.
Rogue did not allow him to suffer too much longer. As effortlessly as before, she raised her hand, ready to strike. Then, without overthinking, the decision was made to knock out the man. A swift yet powerful strike reached Tony's temple a moment later, ending the evening for him instantaneous.
Akali looked around the moment the seemingly lifeless body hit the ground with a low thud. The man's friends were either too dumbstruck due to the sudden turns of events or too preoccupied with their members being sucks to react. The one with his pants still intact slowly got up. He kept the eye-contact with the teen whilst trying to sneak out. Behind his deep-green irises, the fear was reigning.
"Mike!" Katarina called out the last remaining man. "Please, take your partner upstairs. There you can have as much fun with her as you damn want. But, don't stay here; otherwise, you'll end up just like Tony," the redhead tried to make the man think logically.
"My dick is being sucked here," Mike responded hoarsely. "I don't think I want to change the setting as of now. But, if your bitchy friend has something against it, she's more than welcome to help Aster ware me out. My dong is large enough for both of them to have their hands full. Or… rather mouths full, and later their other holes," he started to laugh.
Before the redhead could tell anything more, the raven-haired girl made a gesture to silence her. Then, she slowly turned around to face the last remaining man, not hiding the disgust.
"You, Aster," Rogue called the woman who still continued sucking. "I know you can hear me, so listen. Get up and leave the room. I will have a not-so-nice talk with your shady partner. If I were you, I would dump him. However, considering what you are doing now, I would prepare some towels and ice," she added in a cold voice. Even though her tone was stoical, there was doubt about the threat hidden beneath it.
"Aster, get the fuck out of here!" Katarina shouted before she was once again silenced by her girlfriend.
Unfortunately, the ebony-skinned girl did not heed the warning, still too preoccupied with pleasuring the man. With her eyes closed, she decided to continue the pleasurable moment – in her opinion.
The redhead was afraid of what could happen next. After all, she doubted Akali would give Aster another warning. However, the most frustrating aspect of the whole situation was that she was powerless. Even the slightest signal from Rogue was enough to stop her from counteracting. Not to mention that Akali was vastly stronger and more experienced in terms of fighting or brawling if it had gone to that.
Katarina squeaked a little when her raven-haired girlfriend lost patience. Then, without any signal or additional warnings, she lifted the ebony-skinned girl from the floor by her long hair. Aster nearly immediately began shouting, crying in pain. Though Akali did not care about her much. As soon as the woman was pulled back from the man's length, Rogue threw her to the side. Then, before Mike could even remotely react, she kicked him straight into the face, knocking him up. One additional kick was aimed at the man's crotch. If Mike had not been already unconscious, he would have started screaming loudly. Still, the murderous gaze remained fixed upon the body for a couple of next moments.
"Akali, honey?" Kata called the teen. Even though she was more than aware of the possibility of such a situation taking place, she was still dumbstruck. "Aster, take care of these two idiots! They deserved some punishment; but, I don't think such severe one," she referred to the black woman.
The ebony-skinned woman only nodded with her head. Though, her teary eyes were still fixed on Rogue's frame.
A couple of moments passed without any sort of response from the raven-haired girl. Then, finally, the redhead found some semblance of courage inside herself to take a step toward her. To say that she was terrified would be a massive understatement. Kata was unsure of what she could expect of Akali right now. After all, there was no saying whether her frenzy had faded away already. So, playing the scenario carefully and slowly, she started closing the gap between them.
"Akali?" the troubled redhead tried calling her girlfriend once again.
"Yeah, I am still here," a sigh was provided as a response after a couple of seconds. "Call the police; I am ready to face the consequences of my doing," she added stoically.
"What?" the surprised assistant repeated. "I'm not going to call for the police. These guys were already drunk. So we can just assume you were acting in self-defence," she continued.
"Did it look like self-defence?" Rogue asked, turning her head slightly to the side to see Katarina's face. The raven-haired teen's eyes were empty, emotionless. The fire usually resigning behind those liveable irises currently seemed dead.
"I'll call the police if you don't!" Aster's voice reached them from behind. "She can't be allowed to beat down people with little to no reasoning behind it," she added, slowly searching her phone.
"Aster," Katarina's voice turned stone-cold. "I'll warn you just once," she started, focusing solely on the ebony-skinned women. "If you dare to do as you've just planed, I'll make sure that you'll be the one facing the consequences. On the other hand, though, if you keep your cum-covered lips sealed, I'll find you a well-equipped boyfriend with a hefty pocket. Deal?"
"By well-equipped, you mean…?" the woman curiously asked.
"Yes… I've meant exactly that," the redhead replied, sighing heavily. "I can even make that deal a bit sweeter by allowing you to choose his ethnicity. I'd strongly recommend you think thoroughly about this proposition," she added cooly.
"These terms are fine for me," the black woman responded, smiling a little. "How and when should I contact you regarding your end of the bargain?" Aster asked immediately. It was obvious that she was thrilled with the mere idea of what she could get from that deal.
"Feel free to contact me at the beginning of the next week, Aster," the bloody-red-haired assistant responded with an exhausted tone.
"Splendid!" the ebony girl squeaked a little, clapping with her hands. "So… I guess I can continue partying as if there's no tomorrow," she added more to herself than to Katarina. "Bye, Katarina; you're the best!"
With these words spoken, she turned around swiftly, leaving the kitchen a moment later. Without sparing a single glance, Aster completely forgot about her recent lover, who was still lying on the ground unconscious.
The current situation was far from normality. Frankly, Katarina would have called it awkward. By now, she would have expected Akali to interrupt her, fighting against the proposed deal. But, as it seemed, it was not the case. Instead, the raven-haired teen stood still. With her head cast down, her long hair covered her beautiful face.
"Is she crying?" Katarina thought to herself.
Without overthinking the current situation, the redhead approached her girlfriend frontally. Just a moment later, she allowed herself to envelop her arms around the defined waist of Akali, pulling her slightly in. Surprisingly – considering their recent history – the girl did not put up any fight. Instead, weirdly enough, she was drawn into the assistant's warmth. The moment Rogue's head was placed against Kat's shoulder, she knew the teen was in shambles. Her powerful frame was once again trembling, unable to stop the shaking.
"Hey," the redhead gently whispered. "It's ok now. She's gone, and these… jerks, you've dealt with them," she added, struggling slightly to speak up her mind.
"I am calling Eve," Akali uttered quietly after a couple of minutes of complete silence. Her voice sounded hollow, disappointed, defeated.
"But… it's so early still," the assistant replied immediately, not thinking much. "We can still have some fun. That's it… if you want," she added, quickly reflecting on the current situation.
"No," Rogue hollowly responded. "I do not think I can have any fun today," she added, lowering her head even more. "All I want… all I want… is to bury myself in my bed, wrap the sheets all over my fragile body," the teen struggle to form the sentence.
"Shhhh," the redhead cooed tenderly. "It's alright. I know it was a difficult experience for you. Look… I can't say that I'm happy that you'll be leaving so soon, but… it's alright," she tried to convince Akali. "Call your legal guardian. Then… in the meantime, maybe we could play something? I know you like playing the guitar… so, maybe we could play a little bit of Rocksmith. You know the game where you're playing the real guitar. What do you think?" Kat continued speaking her mind.
"Kat, please, give me a couple of moments," the girl replied weakly. "I will call Eve firstly. Then, I will have to wait for a little for her to come and pick me up. So… I guess we can play the game you mentioned. Though I have never played that game, and frankly, I am not in the mood to do so. However, if you really want me to try… we can try," she sighed heavily, already exhausted with the whole situation.
"Trust me, you won't regret trying it out," the assistant tried to convince her girlfriend.
"We will see," Rogue responded emotionlessly, putting the mask back onto her face. "Now, if you excuse me, I need to make a call."
With nothing more to say, she broke her hug, leaving the room a moment later. Then, nearly without a single thought, she decided to get out of Katarina's house before calling her guardian. So, as she had planned, she did. Soon enough, she found herself standing a couple of feet away from the house, once again getting wet in the rain. Without a hurry, the mobile was pulled from one of her pockets. Then, a couple of moments of intensive hesitation kicked in, successfully preventing her from proceeding with the simple plan she had come up with.
"Should I even bother her?" It was the very first question that had come up deep within her mind. "After all, she might be busy somewhere else. Maybe… maybe, she went to visit Miss Laurent," she allowed the train of thoughts to run freely. "However, on the other hand, she would want me to notify her if I am feeling unwell. So I do not know whether I should call her," her internal struggle continued for a couple of additional moments.
"I am calling her," Akali finally decided, swiftly unlocking her mobile and accessing her contacts list.
Evelynn's POV (more or less the same time):
"Can you pick up the call, Fiora?" the diva asked as soon as she heard her phone ringing.
"Sure," the headmistress replied casually, reaching out for the piece of technology. "It's Akali who's calling," she added the moment she looked at the brightened display.
"Please, enable Bluetooth and accept the call," Evelynn uttered, putting on the earbuds.
"She hung up," the teacher informed the siren a moment later. "I'll just call her back."
For a couple of the next moments, Eve heard the annoying sound of the telephone connection. Then, a little bit frustrated lawyer started tapping on the car's steering wheel.
"Why does it take that long to establish the connection?" the magenta-haired woman thought to herself.
"Hello, Eve," Akali greeted her guardian with a sad tone.
"What's going on, honey?" the living goddess was quick to take the initiative, hearing her protégé's tone. "Why do you sound so sad? Did something bad happen?" she continued to flood the teen with the questions.
"Can you come and pick me up?" Rogue asked bluntly, not even trying to answer all of the previous questions.
"But, of course," Eve responded nearly immediately. "I'll be there soon," she assured the girl.
"Sorry for bothering you, Eve," the raven-haired ninja whispered in a defeated tone. "I hear the revving of the engine… you must have been driving somewhere. Once again, sorry for bothering," she added in a voice full of regret and guilt.
"It's fine, darling," the diva uttered a little bit harsher than she had anticipated. "I had other plans, that's true; however, you'll always be the priority in my eyes."
"Sorry," Akali uttered sadly before hanging up abruptly.
"What's the matter?" Fiora asked, conflicted by the whole exchange.
"As far as I can tell… someone upset her," the golden-eyed beauty sighed. "I really hope it's the case. Otherwise, I can already tell that someone will be paying a hefty price tonight."
Before the headmistress could even further continue the conversation, the diva sped up noticeably.
