The Heroes of The Lands Between
Prologue
Long ago, a prophet foretold the shattering of the Elden Ring. He told Queen Marika the Eternal that death would descend from the sky, and destroy the Elden Ring with a single touch. He said that she would be imprisoned, war would rage across the land, and that all hope would appear to be lost. However, he prophesied that three heroes, stronger than any god or demigod, would descend from the sky and fight back against death. These heroes were: The Hunter, The Titan and The Warlock. The prophet foretold that these heroes by themselves were extremely powerful, but together they were unstoppable. Queen Marika the Eternal didn't believe the prophet and sent him away. What she didn't know is that her actions nearly doomed the multiverse.
Chapter 1
Serov looked around startled. "I was just with my team, where am I?" He said to himself. "You're not alone in that thought!" Glenn said. "Good to see you're still alive." Serov said sarcastically while helping Glenn to his feet. "I'm not dead either," Asura said. "I have taken the liberty of transporting you here." A loud firm voice said. "Who said that?" Glenn asked. "Heroes, you have been prophesied to come." It said, "Who…are you?" Serov said. "I am the Greater Will" It said. There was a pause of silence as the team looked at each other. "Hahahaha!" All three of them started to laugh. "What kind of name is Greater Will?" Glenn said. "I will get straight to the point." The Greater Will said. "I have taken you here to tell you about what has happened to my world." He said
"Death has descended upon our land and only you can stop it." Said the Greater Will. "Without a doubt, Reaper is here." Asura said. "I have devised a plan on how to defeat this foe." The Greater Will said. "Hold up, you're not the one that makes the plans here." Said Serov. "He's right you can't control us, so screw off." Asura said. "Don't you dare-'' "We aren't doing anything you say, you don't even know anything about the enemy we're fighting." Glenn said. "You…" The Greater Will said with great anger. "Begone all of you!" The Greater Will teleported the heros into the Lands Between.

Serov awoke to find himself in a room next to a stone brick archway. The archway contained a thick golden fog. He passed through the archway and saw what looked like a tree and a field of flowers in front of it. He summoned his Ghost and asked "Creed where am I?" "One moment, accessing records, you are in a place the natives call Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree." Creed said. "Well, that is quite the name." Serov said. (Note: Serov looks like a Hunter from Destiny 2.) Serov entered and saw a woman with red hair and one arm sitting in a chair with her hand on the massive tree. "Excuse me?" Serov asked. She began to move and rose from the chair. "I was wondering if you could tell me where this place is?" He said. "I dreamt for so long." She said. "What?" Serov thought to himself. "My flesh was dull gold…and my blood rotted." The girl said. "Gosh she's tall." Serov thought. "Corpse after corpse left in my wake…" She said, "As I awaited his return." She said as she put on what appeared to be a metal arm. "Heed my words." She said as she put on her helmet. "Umm…" Serov began to say. "I am Malenia, Blade of Miquella." She said, "And I have never known defeat." Serov looked at her and said. "Yet, you have never known defeat yet." Malenia looked confused. "Why do you say such things?" Malenia said. "Because you will eventually lose a fight." Serov said.
"I will always win my battles." She said, "But before we cross blades, what is thine name?" "I am Serov, on other worlds I'm known as the Hunter." He said. "Th-the Hunter!?" She stammered. "You're one of the prophesied Heroes!" She seemed surprised. "It is said you are stronger than any demigod." She said, "I would like to see if that is true." Malenia rushed at Serov with great speed. But Serov easily caught her blade between two of his fingers and didn't even draw his sword. "Why are you trying to fight me?" Serov asked. "All I wanted was some directions." He said. "I fight for my brother, I am his blade!" She said, "That doesn't mean you should attack me!" Serov yelled. Malenia rushed at Serov again, slicing through the air at amazing speed. Yet Serov dodged all the attacks with ease. "Why aren't you fighting back?" She said with a slightly annoyed voice. "Well if I did I would crush you." The Hunter said.
Malenia appeared to be angry. She threw multiple attacks at Serov, but to no avail. Serov finally decided to draw his sword. Malenia attacked again, but her blade was parried. She attacked multiple times, but her attacks had no effect on Serov. She was about to attack again, but Serov was already upon her throwing an attack she couldn't dodge. The attack landed with such force she was knocked several feet back. "His strength…it's extraordinary!" Malenia thought to herself. In a few attacks from the Hunter, Malenia fell to her knees attempting to get back up but she couldn't. But before she could fall Serov caught her. "Don't fight everyone, try to talk things out before you attack them." Serov said. "Why are you so kind?" Malenia asked Serov. "I've had enough of war." He said in a melancholy tone. Malenia loosened the grip on her blade. "Thank you…Sir Hunter." Malenia said. "But I've lost my dear brother...Miquella, I fight for his memory." She said. "I lost my siblings, my parents and my betrothed." Serov said. "I am sorry." she said. Some minutes later, "I will be thy blade Hunter, and you will be my lord." Malenia said as she knelt before the Hunter. "Umm…okay?" Serov answered. "Well my first task for you is to guide me out of here." He said. "As thy wish my lord." She said obediently.

Glenn woke to a beautiful face looking down at him. "Hello there sir, who art thou?" Glenn was startled and sat up quickly. "Don't be alarmed, I am Fia, The Deathbed Companion." She said, Glenn looked around and then said. "Hi, my name is Glenn, I'm often known as the Warlock." (Note: Glenn looks like a Warlock from Destiny 2.) "The Warlock, ah I remember, thou art one of the three legendary heroes." Said Fia. "Where am I right now?" Glenn said. "Don't worry thou art quite safe here, this is the Roundtable Hold." She said with a smile. Glenn sat beside Fia and asked about where his friends could have been teleported. "The Lands Between are extensive, they could be anywhere." She said, "I hope that they aren't in any dangerous situations." Glenn said knowing that Asura might explode at the slightest thing that irritates him.
—
Asura opened his eyes to see a dark and cloudy sky. He sat up and began to observe his surroundings. "Where am I?" Asura said in a low voice. Asura was a demigod until he ascended to godhood after defeating Chakravartin, the creator god. His home is Gaea, the oldest and largest Origin World. The Lands Between is the smallest and by far the youngest Origin World. "Damn it, another obstacle." He said while his rage burned against the Greater Will. "What do I do now?" Asura said to himself. "What art thou confused about?" A voice said from behind him. Asura whipped around, and instantly took an aggressive offensive stance. Sitting on a partially destroyed wall, was a woman with blue skin and wore white witch attire not to mention she had four arms. "Who are you?" Asura said cautiously. "I am the witch Ranni, a pleasure to meet thee." "Who art thou?" She asked. "I am Asura, I'm known by many as the Titan." He said. "Thou art one of the legendary heroes?" Ranni asked. "Yes." He replied. "I never imagined that the prophecy wouldst come true." She said, "Where am I?" Asura asked. "Thou art in the Lands Between." Ranni replied. "Where are my friends?" He asked while he looked around. "They could be anywhere, the Lands Between are a large and vast land." Ranni said with a concerned look. "It is said that you aren't able to defeat death alone." She said, "Allow me to accompany thee." Ranni hopped down from the wall and walked towards Asura.
"You wish to find your friends?" Ranni asked. "Yes." Asura replied. " Then I shall be your guide, Titan." She said with a small bow. "Thanks?" Asura said with a raised brow. "Where should we go first?" Ranni asked. "You lead the way." Asura said. "Very well, follow me Titan." Ranni began to walk towards a large castle and all of a sudden Asura appeared with Ranni in the castle. "What did you do?" Asura asked with a small hint of surprise. "I teleported us, are thee unacquainted with this method of travel." Ranni asked. Asura was used to moving through portals, courtesy of the Warlock. He wasn't used to instantly appearing in another location. This made him…uncomfortable. "I'm sorry I'm used to a different method of fast traveling." Asura said. "I see…thou art a strange man." Ranni said. Asura sighed and clenched his fists. "That damned Greater Will, all he wants is control." Asura thought. "Titan, from here we may be able to find you friends." Ranni entered a room, and with a wave of her hand all kinds of records and maps appeared. "With this I may be able to find them." Asura said. It appeared he would have to hold his anger in a bit longer.
—
Glenn paced back and forth. "So you want to accompany me outside of the Roundtable Hold?" Glenn asked Fia. "Yes, it is my greatest wish to help you." She answered. "It will be dangerous." Glenn said, hoping it would sway her decision. "I have faced many dangers." She said, "Alright, where should we go from here?" Glenn asked. "I would say that the Forbidden Lands would be our best course of action." Fia replied. "Great, what does it look like?" He asked. "A wasteland, covered with fog and void of much life." She replied. "Ok, here we go." With a slight stroke of his fingers, Glenn opened a portal to the Forbidden Lands. "It's just as I imagined it." Glenn said. "Amazing, you're able to open a doorway?" Fia asked in awe. "It's actually a portal, but yes I guess it could be called a doorway." He responded. "After you." Glenn said politely.
—
"Are you sure this is the right way?" Serov asked. "I am sure of it my lord." Malenia replied. "Man it is foggy out here." Serov complained. "I apologize Sir Hunter, but your friends are most likely in this direction." Malenia said. "What was that Haligtree thing back there?" The Hunter asked. "My brother planted it, cared for it, he watered it with his own blood." She said, "Wait what did you just say, his…blood?" Serov was very surprised. "Your brother was either crazy or smart to water something with his blood, and I don't think he was crazy." Serov said. "I believe Miquella would get along with you quite well." Malenia said with a sad smile. "Alright I didn't mean to bring back memories you didn't want to-'' Malenia cut Serov's sentence short. "There's someone coming!" She said as she partially took cover behind a tree. "Are you sure they would be here?" Said a voice. Serov recognized the voice. "I know." Serov replied to Malenia's statement. "What is he doing?" Malenia thought. "It doesn't matter, it looks like I will land the first blow." She said to herself. Malenia jumped and swung at a man in black robes. "Hm." The blade was stopped by a blue energy. "The One-Armed Valkyrie!" A woman beside him gasped. "How…" Malenia couldn't hit him. "Who is this man?" She thought. "She's not one armed, I see two arms." The man said. "Actually she has one arm, her right arm is a prosthetic." Serov said. "Serov!" The man said as he rushed over and grabbed Serov in a choke hold. "Get your hands off of him!" Malenia yelled. "It's fine Malenia." Serov said. "This is my friend Glenn, he's known as the Warlock." Malenia's face held an indescribable expression. "I just attacked the Warlock, my lord's friend?" She thought. Malenia turned to Glenn and apologized. "I'm deeply sorry for attacking you!" "It's no biggie, just don't do it again." He replied.
"So how did you get here?" Serov asked. "Well I showed up in a place called the Roundtable Hold, and woke up on this girl's lap." Glenn said while pointing to Fia. "Oh, and who may you be?" Serov asked with a smile. "My name is Fia, The Deathbed Companion." She said, "Wow, that isn't a title I would like to have." Serov said. "So, what are you doing here?" Asked Serov. "Fia said that you would most likely be here." Glenn replied. "Well she was right, except that Asura isn't anywhere to be found." Serov said. "Oh boy, I hope we get here before he causes too much damage." Glenn said with worry in his voice.
