Welcome once again, we're getting closer to the end. This time Staci will tell her own story, but Can we believe the compulsive liar? We will find it right now.

Staci story

Outside was pitch black; the wind howled like some animal, and the bus swayed slowly. It was Staci's turn to tell her story, and the atmosphere was heavy, but not only because of the storm. Zoey was frowning at the compulsive liar, trying to sit away from her.

"Maybe it's like my imagination, but did something happen between you two?" asked Dakota, tilting her head. "I mean, it's not like Zoey to act like that."

"There was something…" said Staci twiddling her finger.

Zoey glared at her. "Yes, why don't you tell them about what you wrote in your blog?"

"I'm sorry. I swear I didn't write that to hurt you, ya," said Staci, putting a hand over her chest.

"I don't care. You had no right to write about our intimacy," replied Zoey, hugging her legs.

Dakota and Dawn looked at them, frowning worriedly, not knowing what to say. Jo rolled her eyes and patted her foot impatiently while Anne Maria tilted her head.

"So I don't get it. What exactly happened? Did she write something about Vito and me?" said Anne Maria, raising an eyebrow.

"Not everything is about you Anne Maria," said Zoey in a cold tone.

The Jersey girl wiped the sweat from her forehead. "Phew, I was worried for a moment," she then sprayed her hair.

"Cough, cough! STOP THAT IDIOT! Do you want to suffocate us?" shouted Jo, glaring at her.

"Oh, stop whining. We can always open a window," said Anne Maria. After her words, another lightning bolt illuminated the sky, "or maybe I'll stop spraying, but not because you said so."

Dawn put a hand on Staci's shoulder. "It's better if you tell us what happened. That way, you'll show Zoey you sincerely regret it."

"Ok, you're right," Staci sighed, lowering her head. "Some weeks before the All-Atars season, I wrote an article about how unusual it was that Zoey and Mike had dated for almost a year, and they never kissed."

"What!" said Anne Maria, Jo, and Dakota, with different levels of concern about it.

"Did you spend a whole year without kissing him? Why?" asked Dakota, looking at Zoey with wide eyes.

"Yes, Mike is actually a good kisser, well, at least Vito is. Why you didn't do it?" asked Anne Maria. She was as shocked as Dakota.

Zoey blushed and frowned. "That's none of your business! How Mike and I develop our relationship is intimate and private. Staci didn't have the right to slander us in her blog," the redhead then glared at Staci. "After that article, people will constantly harass us about our private life."

"I'm sorry, I didn't expect things would turn that way," said the compulsive liar, in a voice lower than her usual.

"Of course, you didn't," Zoey turned her face away, crossing her arms.

"But I really regret it, I already took the information off my blog. Tell me what more I can do so you can forgive me?" asked Staci, frowning sadly.

The redhead wasn't expecting this. She thought Staci would confront her or try to lie her way off the situation, not that she would apologize like this. Zoey didn't know what to say to the first boot.

Dakota stood between them. "Ok, let's forget about this for a moment and focus on the contest, ok? It's Staci's turn to tell her story."

"Yes, I think that would be more positive for everyone," said Dawn, nodding.

There was a small silence. Zoey just nodded, being in deep thought.

"Ok then, it's a simple story…"

All started in Playa des losers, the resort in Lake Wawanakwa. The hotel was a big success after the first season, getting a big number of guests even off-season, although the place was closed while filming Revenge of the Island, so people couldn't find the elimination order before the show aired.

It was my second week in the resort, and sadly I was all alone. Dakota took a glider and returned to Wawanakwa island after her dad began to sponsor the season, so I was my only company was me and myself. And yes, I can be very funny and amusing, but I miss spending time with other people.

The day Dakota left, I went to sleep earlier, ignoring that night another contestant was catapulted from the island.

The next day I went to take breakfast and decided to eat some buttered toast when I realized I had committed a terrible mistake: I had left my wig in my room!

I held a toast in my mouth and ran through the hallway to the elevator. However, I didn't realize someone was coming in the opposite direction, and I bumped into them, falling both to the ground.

I was dizzy and took some seconds to realize what had happened, then I saw him and blushed. A dark-skinned and tall man with a bulky body and seductive eyes. His sensual lips and beard accentuated his dreamy features. To my horror, my toast ended on his head, just over his cap.

"I'm sorry, I was in a rush and didn't see you," I said, blushing and lowering my head. The worst part was that he saw me without my wig.

However, he stood up, dusted his clothes, and ate the toast in a single movement. Then he offered me a hand.

"Don't worry honey, I'm fine," he said in a deep and hot voice. "I'm the one who should apologize, I didn't realize a delicate girl like you was there."

I blushed and took his hand. "Oh, thank y..."

"BULLSHIT!" said Jo slamming her fist against her seat armrest.

"Calm down," said Staci, waving her arms nervously. "What's your problem?"

"You're my problem!" shouted the jockette. "We agreed the stories should be true."

Staci put on a hurt expression. "What part of my story isn't true?"

"Well, meeting him with a toast in your mouth is something you only watch on anime," said Zoey, as the others looked at her with wide eyes. "Not that I watch anime… I mean, I just heard about it…."

"Yes, and how did your toast end on his head? Food doesn't fly like that, I know because I have seen food falling a lot of times," said Anne Maria squinting at the first boot.

Jo glared at them. "Are you for real? The weird part is that Fat mime never talks!"

Anne Maria and Zoey gasped.

"I agree with jo even if her words are harsh," said Dawn frowning at Staci. "B is a sensitive person of few words, and he wouldn't start talking without knowing you better."

"Well, none of you were there, ya? So you can't be sure I'm lying," said Staci crossing her arms. But the other five just glared at her. "Ok, ok, I thought a Playa story would be funny. Now I'll tell you a real one."

Anne Maria put a hand on her hip. "And how can we be sure you're not making up the new story?"

Staci blushed. "Because I'll mention some people who were there, and you can ask them about it, ya. I'm sure they can vouch for me."

Now the true story. It was February before All-Stars. During the months after the show, I was kinda famous and made some money promoting the show. But as the novelty faded, I started to think about what to do with my life.

It was then that Sierra contacted me.

Annotation: Dakota

"Ugh, Sierra. She's a huge total drama fan. I'm not too fond of her because she harassed Sam and me for months, trying to get information about what happened between our families and us. Luckily she stopped after I reconciled with my dad," said Dakota, frowning at the camera and rubbing her arms. "It's funny she could make Dakotazoid shiver in fear."

Sierra was a contestant from the first generation who debuted in the 3rd season, ya. She wanted to meet me, so I invited her to my home. That day changed my life.

When I opened the door, I was surprised by her appearance. She seemed taller in person, with nice brown skin and a huge smile. She was wearing the same green pants and yellow tank as on tv and was carrying a small red sports bag. Her purple hair was in a small ponytail.

"Hello Staci! It's such a pleasure to meet one of my juniors," she said, holding my hand and shaking it wildly. "As I mentioned on the phone, my name is Sierra, and I must say I loved your season. Can I come in? Thanks"

She quickly entered my house, leaving me stunned. "Yes, nice to meet you, ya."

I followed her inside my own home toward the living room. Luckily my parents weren't at home, because it would be weird if she had met them like that.

"Do you want something to drink? We have tea, coffee, orange juice, and soda," I said while she sat on one of the couches.

"The juice is natural?" asked Sierra tilting her head.

"Yes, my family always drinks freshly squeezed orange juice from my uncle Armand's farms. He has a hundred acres of orange fields near Orlando and exports to all the continent," I said, waving my hand.

To my surprise, she smiled and wrote a note in a small notebook she had taken from her bag. "Hey, that's cool. Then I want some orange juice, please."

I was happy. It has been a while since someone listened to my awesome family's stories without judging. I squeezed some oranges and filled two glasses.

"Well Staci, I'm the total drama keeper," Sierra said, her eyes filled with passion. "My job is to keep the information of all the Total drama contestants updated in my blogs, so the fans can know what happened to us and how we're doing right now."

"Really?" I asked skeptically. "are people interested in reality show has-beens?"

Sierra stood up and held my shoulders. "has-beens? HAS-BEENS!? No, my friend, the total drama contestants are still relevant! We may not have millions of fans, but thousands follow my blogs, and for them, for those fans who love us, we have to do this."

I was shocked by her attitude and energy. She was completely different from me.

"Ok, I'll help you as much as I can, but I don't think many people are interested in a first boot like me," I said, rubbing my head carefully to not move my wig.

"Ohohoho, you would be surprised," Sierra covered her mouth as she laughed. "Ezekiel has a huge cult following even if he was the first boot ever. People love a good underdog story."

I smiled. "My great, great, great, uncle Jimmy invented underdog stories. Before him, all stories were about princesses or tax collectors and became boring pretty fast, ya, so sad."

"That's a fun fact. I'll keep it," said Sierra smiling.

"Do you believe me?" I asked, confused by Sierra's attitude.

She was scribbling in her notebook. "Of course I believe you. Why would you lie about that?"

I was moved. People usually mocked me and laughed at my stories, but she believed me without second thoughts.

Annotation: Jo

"People will believe you a lot more if you stop saying all that bullshit about your great, great, second cousin removed who invented bullshit, just like you," said Jo, glaring at the compulsive liar.

"But let's forget about your ancestors, and let's talk about you," said Sierra, her gaze piercing me. "What can you tell me about yourself, Staci."

And I froze. "About … myself?"

"Yes, the fans want to know Staci, not only her awesome family," she said with a big grin on her face.

"I know, after all my great, great, great, great Uncle Arthur invented fandoms before him…"

"That's interesting, but I want to know about you, Staci," Sierra's enthusiasm was hurting me. It was the first time someone was so interested in me.

Which made what I had to say more painful. "I-I'm sorry, there is nothing really interesting about me."

"Oh c'mon, that isn't true. Everyone has some talents."

It was a hard moment. Only thinking about that makes me anxious. I felt so ashamed in front of her, but it was true, I couldn't think of any good thing about myself.

Annotation: Dawn

"That's not true," said Dawn, putting a hand on Staci's shoulder. "Your aura shows you work hard and always do your best, even with your insecurities; those are some beautiful talents."

"Yes, I'm still angry because you wrote those things about Mike and me," said Zoey, rubbing her arms. "But I'm sure you have some awesome talents. just be more confident in yourself."

Jo rolled her eyes. "Yes, yes, keep lying to her."

"It's not a lie. I also think you can't judge a person without knowing them," said Dakota, putting a hand on her chest, "true beauty is inside."

"Yes, the girl can be annoying, but she does her best, so that's kinda cool," Anne Maria said as the other three girls looked at her with wide eyes.

Anne Maria frowned. "What? I'm just being honest."

"Thanks, everyone," said Staci visibly moved. "I think it was the right choice to tell you this story. In fact Sierra said something similar."

"Then I'll help you to discover your skills. You love genealogy, right?" said Sierra, not losing her enthusiasm.

"Y-yes."

"Then you like to read and research, right? To look down for information about your ancestors."

"Yes, I kinda like to read about them."

Sierra nodded. "Then you're a great investigator."

"I am?"

"Of course! How else could you look for information about people from one hundred or two hundred years ago?" You have instinct and discipline."

I felt my cheeks getting hotter. "T-Thanks, it's the first time someone has praised me like that."

"Don't worry, girl. But now tell me more about you. How do you find all that stuff about your family?" asked Sierra, writing in her notepad.

Then I start telling her about my sources. How I went to libraries, asked my aunts and uncles, read old diaries, traveled, and interviewed people in museums. It seems easy ya, but all that takes a lot of planning and hard work.

Annotation: Anne Maria

"Who would think lying would take so much effort?" she then rolled her eyes. "What? I find it cool that she does her best, but I don't believe her prattle."

We spent almost 3 hours talking.

"Ok, that's enough for now," said Sierra, watching her phone. "I need to go soon, or I'll lose my bus."

"Don't worry, I can take you to the station," I told her, taking my pink jacket.

Sierra looked at me with wide eyes, "you can drive?"

"I have the learner permit for motorbikes, and my mom gave me an old Vespa, ya. It's not fancy, but it does its work."

"Wow! That's so cool. When I was 16 I couldn't drive a car, even in video games," she then smirked. "You know, I could use a person with your skillset."

I was shocked by the sudden proposal. "Excuse me?"

"Yes, I need a person to help me maintain the blogs and research about the other Total drama contestants, and as the seasons grow, I will need more help. What do you say? Are you interested in becoming my partner?" She held my hands, her eyes locked on mine.

"B-But I don't know the first thing about computers," I struggled to say.

However, Sierra just winked. "Don't worry, I can teach you. I'm sure you'll get it in a moment, just think about it," She opened her bag and gave me a card. "This is my business card. If you accept or just want to talk, call me."

"Cody's Fanclub president?" I asked after reading the card.

Sierra swiftly took it from my hands and gave me a different card. "Hohoho, Sorry, I don't know how I mixed them."

"Lilac entertainment president?" I asked, acting as if the previous card had never existed.

"Yes, it's my own small company, and I'm the Ceo and the only employee. If you're interested, I can hire you," she said, patting my shoulder.

I took it and put it in my wallet. "Thanks, I'll think about it."

"Oh, and before I forget it," Sierra searched her bag one last time and took out a box. "This is a gift for you."

I opened the present and inside were three bottles of cream, one of baby shampoo, a brush, a package of almonds and one of Omega-3 capsules.

"Thanks, I guess?" I said, not understanding why she was giving me all this stuff.

"Hehehe, let me explain." Sierra chuckled and came closer to me. "My friend and I both lose our hair, and these are the best remedies we found to help you while your hair grows back. The bottles are a special lotion with Vitamin B7 to apply to your scalp, use the soft brush to not damage your head. Use the baby shampoo and…"

I was moved. It was the first time someone showed concern for my accident and wanted to help me. That was the moment I made my decision. Sierra continued talking, so I had to interrupt her.

"Sierra, you can tell me about this on our way to the station, or you'll miss your bus," I said, leaving the package at home.

"The bus! Sorry, I forgot about it," said Sierra, playfully putting her tongue out, "let's go."

We ran toward the garage, I gave her my dad's helmet, and then both went to the bus station. There were no issues; my bike is big enough for both, and we were at the station in minutes.

"Well Staiss, it was a pleasure," said Sierra, winking. "I hope we can talk again soon."

"I'm sure we will," I replied smiling. "By the way Sierra, I thought about It, and I want to help you with your blogs."

Sierra looked at me with wide eyes. "Really?"

"Ya, I'm not sure if I can be of any help, but I want to try," I told her, and suddenly she hugged me.

"YES! Thanks Staiss. Together we will make Total Drama even more famous," she said with flames in her eyes.

It was the first day I met Sierra, but definitely not the last one.

Annotation: Anne Maria

"So that's why you started gossiping about us on your website?" asked Anne Maria, raising an eyebrow.

"It's not gossiping, all we put there are facts," said Staci crossing her arms. "And it's not my website, it's the Total Drama Fan center, and Sierra is the owner, I only help her."

Zoey glared at her. "It's not gossiping? And what about the rumors you put about Mike and me."

"Zoey, I'm sorry if that hurt you, and I shouldn't have written that article because it's your private life, but my sources were quite clear about that," said Staci, lowering her head.

"Who are your sources?" asked Zoey, glaring at Staci.

"Let's stop there," said Dawn, raising her voice a bit. "Staci did a bad thing publishing that note, but Zoey, you must let it go. Do you think knowing Staci's informant will help you quench your anger and frustration?"

Zoey rubbed her arm. "I guess it won't."

"Then let's focus on positive things. Staci regretted it and apologized. Now you must think if you can forgive her or not," said Dawn patting Zoey's arm.

"Yes, yes, let's all be friends," said Jo rolling her eyes. "Then chatterbox, that's the end of your story or not?"

Staci shook her head slowly. "Oh no, but to understand my story, you needed to know this, ya. So let me continue."

I began to spend some weekends with Sierra. She taught me how to manage blogs, and I helped her gather information, especially about our generation. Usually, it was just the two of us, but sometimes some of her friends dropped by, especially Cody or Heather.

Annotation: Zoey

"Heather? Ugh, that girl is bad news," said Zoey frowning.

"Yes, that nasty and arrogant personality. I hate her guts," said Jo, huffing.

Anne Maria chuckled. "I don't see why you say so, she's just like you."

"Keep the jokes to yourself, hair helmet," Jo rolled up her sleeve when a bolt of lightning interrupted them.

"The storm is getting worse, so it will be better if you two calm down. We don't need more things to worry about," said Dawn, looking out the window.

Staci nodded. "And Heather isn't that bad. Yes, she's arrogant, and at first, she called me a loser and ignored me, but after a few months, she lowered her guard and became a bit nicer.

"It still sounds pretty bad," said Dakota, crossing her arms.

"Anyway, let's forget about her, ya. The main issue…"

The main issue is that we needed some information about a couple of contestants who even Sierra could not find many tidbits about their life. So she asked me to find information about Cameron.

Yes, the winner of our season was one of the most secluded contestants. He didn't have a digital shadow, was in his bubble all his life, and his mom was a tough cookie, not giving any speck of information about him.

So I decided to give it a try. As Sierra said, he didn't have any social media account, and all we found about him was related to the show, talking about his victory and that he split his prize money. In fact, I knew the story better than most newspapers.

So I decided to call him and get the information from the genius himself. Thanks to Sam, I found he lived with B, both studying together to go to college, so I asked B if it was ok to talk with Cameron.

Annotation: Jo

"Bullshit! I can't believe meatBall would talk with you," said Jo, frowning.

Actually, he told me while chatting. You may not believe me, but B and I became kind of friendish-y in Playa, ya. Anyway, I called Cameron.

"Hello?" he answered. He talked exactly as I remembered.

"Hello Cameron, it's me, Staci," I said, trying to sound amicable and polite.

However, he took a moment to answer. "Sorry, I don't remember you. Did I meet you before?"

"Ahaha, you're such a jokester. I'm Staci, from the toxic rats," I said, but actually, I was panicking. "Remember, my great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather Lucius invented awkwardness, before him, people never found themselves in these situations."

"Oh, now I remember," He said, his voice becoming more enthusiastic. "Even if awkwardness can't be invented, I remember you. You're the girl who suffered a case of alopecia areata after her exposition to irradiated marshmallows."

I didn't understand a word, but I guess he remembered me. "Exactly, that's me. You see, I wanted to ask you a favor. Can we meet? I need to ask you some questions."

"You want to meet me?" Cameron's voice suddenly became louder and more frantic, "Are you suggesting we have a tryst?"

"Yes, I think" I sighed, hearing his tone. "If you don't want to, don't worry, ya, sorry for startling you. But if you accept, I promise to invite you to a meal."

He sighed. "No, I'm the one who must apologize. It's my first time being involved in this kind of rendezvous, and my attitude wasn't intended. Also I need to improve my experience in this kind of social demeanor, so I want to consent to your proposal if you find me adequate."

"That means you accept ?" I asked, my voice filled with enthusiasm.

"Yes, that's what I said," replied Cameron with a doubtful voice.

"GREAT YA! Don't worry. I promise to not bother you too much," I said, grinning like a child. "It's ok the next Saturday?"

"Yes, we can meet at the bus station at 16:00," replied Cameron, his voice a pitch lower than before.

I did it. I was so happy that I wanted to share it with him. "Thank you Cameron Wilkins, thank you. Don't worry this will be the best interview you have ever had in your whole life. After all, my great, great, great uncle Thomas invented interviews, before him, people found out information about others in duels, which was a hassle, especially if you have many interviews on the same day…"

Suddenly I realized the call had ended.

"We got cut off," I thought and hung up. I needed to get ready for my appointment with Cameron.

Annotation: Dakota

"I'm a pro phone user, and I can assure you he didn't get cut off," Dakota nodded.

I have a little more than a week so I bought a small recording machine and chose a nice white dress with floral patterns. My hair was still too short so I wore a wig and tied my lucky ribbon to my wrist. Sierra and Heather also helped me with my makeup. I didn't look too shabby, to be fair. I wanted to look my best for my first field job, sadly the bus arrived 15 minutes late.

So I was a bundle of nerves when I went to meet him. I arrived at the bus stop, and to my surprise, he was also dressed up for the occasion, wearing black pants, a shirt, and a red vest, with his hair gelled back.

"Greetings," said Cameron, waving at me.

"Hello," I said, rushing to his side. "Sorry, did you wait for long?"

Cameron smiled and waved his hands. "Oh no, I just arrived."

"Oh-" I said, surprised that he also arrived late. "Well, my great, great, great third aunt Jesebel invented being fancy late before her people who arrived late was disrespectful and mean, ya."

"Hehe, actually I arrived on time," said Cameron, smiling. "Being punctual is a courtesy and shows you care about other people's time.

I raised an eyebrow. "Then why did you say you just arrived?"

There was an awkward silence, and Cameron took out some tickets from his pants.

"By the way, I won some tickets for a movie in a radio show, and Mike and Zoey are busy. Do you want to come with me?" he said, smiling.

"I don't know," I blushed, it was the first time someone invited me to the movies, even if it was just to not waste a ticket.

Cameron made a weird wink. "C'mon, it's fair I invite you if you pay for our dinner."

"Ok, let's go," I said, smiling. "By the way, did you know my great, great ,great, great uncle Loius invented movies? Before that, people used their imaginations which was a lot more boring, ya, so sad."

"Your Uncle was Louis Lumiere or Louis Le Prince?" said Cameron excitedly. "Both are credited with doing the first movie, and there is a debate about if Le Prince 1888 shot could be considered the first motion picture.

"I-I don't know," I said, blushing. "I need to ask my grandfather about it. He surely knows."

Cameron nodded, his eyes sparkling. "And do you think I can watch one of the original films? Most people say the movies are lost films, but maybe your family keeps some."

"I'll ask about it," I gulped and blushed, not expecting he would show so much passion about my family.

We arrived at the cinema, and I thought we would see 'Remember me' with Robert Pattinson and Emilie de Ravin, but somehow we ended up watching Scrollsaw the final chapter.

Annotation: Jo

"Hahaha, really?" said Jo while laughing. "I can't believe beanstalk could endure that kind of movie."

Actually, it was me who couldn't keep watching the movie. I'm weak at the sight of blood, ya. So we left the movie after 20 minutes. Luckily the cinema refunded him the tickets, so it wasn't all that bad.

We then had dinner in Scaramouche, a French restaurant co-founded by my great-Uncle Carl, before that, La Salle students ate at Tom Hortons, which is not that bad, but ya, it's better to eat French food.

To be fair, the place was prettier and a bit more luxurious than I expected for someone like uncle Carl. I thanked Sierra for giving me some extra money to pay for the dinner.

Cameron and I sat next to a window, but we focused more on the menu than on the view.

"Order whatever you want," I said, trying to sound confident.

"Thanks, but there is so much food I never tried that I don't know what to order," said Cameron, frowning. "Also if it's a French restaurant, why do they have Prosciutto di Carpegna, which is Italian?"

I laughed, trying to make the waiters think it was a joke. "Don't think too much about the menu. Its normal restaurants have a main type of cuisine but have a variety of dishes."

He raised an eyebrow, not convinced of my explanation, but didn't complain. In the end, we ordered some Parmesan Fries, shared Foie Gras Terrine, and lobster. I'll be honest, it was my first time eating lobster, and it's harder to eat than I thought.

"You need to use the cracker to break the claws," said Cameron, putting all his weight in the cracker and closing his eyes. After some seconds, he cracked it. "Phew, it's harder than it seems. Then you eat the meat inside the claw, sucking it."

"I thought it was your first time eating lobster?" I asked, impressed he knew how to do it.

Cameron clenched his teeth, and he struggled to crack the other claw. "It's my first time, but I read some books about how to eat different kinds of invertebrates, and the lobster was included among them."

"You surely love to read," I said, smiling.

"It's my main hobby. You know, when I was young, I had a weak body, so my mother was afraid I would get hurt if I went outside, so I spent my days at home, reading. Books are awesome, filled with information that you can understand better after reading more books, it's a way to know how the universe works without leaving your home," Cameron said, his voice filled with passion.

"That's awesome, I also like to read, but I prefer novels over technical books. My great, great…" As I was talking, I realized that it would be rude to talk about my family, so I decided to stop. " Forget about it. What's your favorite book?"

Cameron put his hand on his chin. "There are too many, right now it's probably John R. Taylor Classical Mechanics. It's a new book exploring Newtonian mechanics, Taylor explains the conservation laws, oscillations, and Lagrangian mechanics in a simple way. I read it when I was 14, and it's still one of my favorites."

"I like how passionate you're about it," I said, cracking one of my lobster claws.

"Really?"

"Yes, I mean people should be passionate about the things they love, ya."

He made a wide smile. "It's the first time someone besides Mike and Zoey tells me that. People usually think I shouldn't be so excited by physics."

"To be fair, I don't know the first thing about physics, even if my great uncle John was a famous physician who invented particle accelerators before him…"

"YOU'RE RELATED TO JOHN P. BLEWETT!? He was one of the lead physicists discovering particle accelerators and the first to predict synchrotron radiation," he said with an excited smile.

I nodded slowly. "Yes, but he and my great-grandfather became stranged after he left Canada."

"Yes, he went to the USA. Such a shame," said Cam lowering his eyebrows. "But he's without a doubt one of the best Canadian physicists of the XX century."

I dried the sweat from my forehead and decided to stop talking about my awesome ancestors.

We have a great time, Cameron is a nice guy. He was born with a weak constitution, and his mother always protected him, which made him secluded and lonely. There was no secret story behind him, he was just a sheltered boy that tried his best every day.

In the end, I paid for the dinner (it was expensive), and we went home together in a taxi, leaving him first.

"I sincerely appreciate the dinner, Staci. It was a really enriching experience," said Cameron, frowning at the ground.

"No, problem Cameron, I had a great time, it reminds me of my…"I noticed I would quote my ancestors again and decided to not do it. "It was pretty fun."

Cam smiled and looked at me with wide eyes. "Really? Because I'm a neophyte in these affairs, I feared you would find me lacking and dull."

"Oh no, I had a great time. To be honest, I was nervous you would be too focused on science, but I find behind the genius is a polite and cute boy," I said, smiling.

"C-cute?" Cameron blushed and scratched his cheek. "It's the first time someone has called me cute." He then took a depth breath. "So I guess now I need to k-k-kiss you."

I felt my face turn red and hot, not expecting he would say that. "K-K-K-Kiss? My g-great, great, great…" I shook my face, not remembering which of my ancestors invented kissing. "Why do you want to kiss me?"

"Because that's the normal behavior after a date. Once it's over and the participants are about to go different ways, it's customary to end the endeavor with a kiss," said Cameron, rubbing his neck.

"O-Of course," I said, and even if it was tempting, I decided it wasn't fair to kiss right now. "But not all dates should end in a kiss. We're just starting to know each other, and the kiss needs to come naturally."

"Really?"

"Yes, my great, great, great, great, great Aunt Victoria invented dates, before that people just met after their parents arranged their marriage, and there is no rule you must kiss on your first date."

"Oh, that explains …" No, wait, I misremember that. What Cam really said was, "Then let's wait. See you next time Staci."

"Of course! See you next time Cam," I said, waving at him.

And then I took the taxi back home, ending the night on a great note.

Staci's story, the end

"And that's how I got my first date and also my first blog entry on the Total Drama fansite," said Staci, nodding.

"And that story it's true? It sounds fishy," asked Anne Maria, squinting at the compulsive liar.

Staci opened her mouth like a fish out of water for a moment. "How dare you! I'm a person known for her honesty and integrity. I'm sure my family is related to Abe Lincoln, only we haven't found in what way."

"Yes, yes, of course," said Anne Maria rolling her eyes. "But I still don't believe you. Red, did you know about this?"

"Mmmm," Zoey was rubbing her chin. "Cam never mentioned he dated Staci, but I helped him buy the shirt and the vest she described for a date, so maybe?"

Anne Maria shrugged. "Ok, maybe it's good enough for me."

"And now it's your turn, Zoey," said Dawn excitedly, "Are you ready?"

"Ready for what? It will be a story about her and McBland. Can we skip it?" said Jo rolling her eyes,

Dakota glared at her, "Hey, I want to hear it, so if you don't want to, you can…"

But Dakota was interrupted by a bolt of lightning and a loud thunder as the wind began to move the bus violently.

"Ok, let's get started," said Zoey smiling. "I have just the right story, and I'm not sure if I 'll win, but I hope you enjoy it."

Zoey was ready to start her story as the weather became worse and worse. The final story of the contest was about to start.

Author Notes:

Staci told her story and now only Zoey remains. I know everyone knows who will be with her, but we will find out for sure next week.

This time I tried to give Staci some personality beyond her ancestors but also showcase she lies a lot. Funny enough she is more honest than other storytellers (right Jo?) And no, I'm not exactly a Camstaci shipper (is that even a thing?) But I thought it would be fun to put her with someone unexpected instead of B or a stranger.

And as always, if you like something from the story: a joke, a scene, an idea, or anything, please tell me in the reviews. I love to know my readers' opinions, which helps me improve. Or if reviewing it's not your thing, at least mark the story as a favorite so I know you're having a good time.

And before closing, here are the replies to last week's reviews:

Total Simaniac: I'm glad you chuckled at Anne Maria's scene hiding Lightning at her home. Honestly, the idea of hiding him from her uncles was terrible, but she somehow believed she could make it work.

Also it's exactly as you said, the "date" may be a date, or maybe just a way to thank her all she did for him. Also Anne Maria is the narrator so she either didn't know or didn't want to tell her friends.

Finally I hope Staci story surprised you.

Hellflores: I'm happy you enjoyed it. Lightning kicked out of home is an old hc I hear sometimes, and I wanted to use it in the story because it fit the theme. Also I think Anne Maria and Lightning would have nice chemistry especially if written as comedy.

Poor Zoey, she didn't want to go last, but the universe is a bully. I hope you enjoyed Staci's story.

As always, thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy this story.
