Sakura and her teammates hurriedly leap from tree branch to tree branch as they tried to escape Orochimaru.
Again.
"Where are we heading, Sakura-chan?" She hears Naruto ask.
She glances at him and says, "We are heading straight to the tower to inform someone about Orochimaru. Hopefully we can find someone before Orochimaru shows up again,"
"Oh ok," Naruto replied. "Sakura-chan... What's wrong with your eyes? There is also a third eye on your forehead dattebayo!"
"Sakura, did Orochimaru cast a jutsu on you?" Sasuke asks as he looks back at her. His eyes pointedly staring straight at her forehead and her eyes. Sasuke is probably assuming that a jutsu must have caused her to look like she is now.
Sakura becomes silent as she mulls over Naruto's and Sasuke's words. She knows that something isn't right with her. She noticed that her vision improved at the last moment during her face off with Orochimaru. Unlike before, she can now see everything around her without turning her head. She can also see great distances right through the trees. And as she presses fingers on her forehead, she can feel distended veins protruding beneath her skin.
It can only mean one thing. Sakura has the Byakugan and like Orochimaru said to her, probably the Rinne Sharingan, which were the visual powers of one Kaguya Otsutsuki. The Goddess who killed her in her first life.
Sakura concludes that she must have absorbed Kaguya's powers prior to her death and activating her family's rare kekkei genkai There is also a probability that she has regained Kaguya's other powers as well, like the Ash bone.
However, she can't be sure about that until Sakura starts experimenting with her abilities and she can only do that once she survives Orochimaru and the Forest of Death.
At the moment, she uses her new visual prowess to look behind her and see beyond the trees for any signs of the Snake Sannin.
Currently, she is terribly depleted after fighting Orochimaru that even the use of her new eyes slowly drains her laughable chakra reserve. Thankfully, she doesn't feel sick for using her new eyes. Constantly watching everything at a 360 degree angle might make someone nauseous but not Sakura. She seems to acclimate to her new doujutsu without any side effects.
"I think I've just awakened my family's secret kekkei genkai," Sakura honestly explains to her teammates.
Considering that Naruto and Sasuke have already seen her eyes and her third eye, it's better to let her teammates know the truth than lie about it. For certain, they are going to report this new development to Kakashi once they reach the tower.
"Your family has a secret kekkei genkai? I thought you come from a civilian family Sakura," Sasuke says to her while Naruto exclaims. "Woah! You have a kekkei genkai Sakura?! That's so cool!"
"Not all the Haruno clan are civilians, Sasuke. My father is a career genin although my mother comes from a merchant family," Sakura replies.
However, before either Sasuke or Naruto can respond to her statement, Sakura becomes alarmed when her new Byakugan picks up a lone figure following far behind them.
It was Orochimaru and he was swiftly gaining on them.
"Orochimaru is back and he is gaining on us fast," Sakura informs her teammates hurriedly. "Sasuke, Naruto, you go ahead while I delay him."
"You can't do that Sakura-chan!" Naruto shouts just as Sakura stops leaping from tree to tree.
The other two pause as well.
"We can't leave you behind!" Naruto says to her adamantly.
"Naruto is right, Sakura. We can't leave anyone behind. So I think it's best for us to set up a trap for Orochimaru before he catches up to us. And if we can't outrun him, then we have no choice but to fight him head on. Hopefully our fight will be enough to draw the attention of passing jounin to our location," Sasuke suggests to her.
"Then, do you have a plan Sasuke? If so, we better hurry up and find a way to take Orochimaru off guard before he arrives," Sakura says.
"Yes, I do." Sasuke replies, "Now listen up both of you..."

I hope this is going to work. Sakura thinks as she waits for Orochimaru to appear as she leaps from tree to tree.
Disguised as Sasuke and being served as bait, Sakura uses her new Byakugan to track down Orochimaru's movements.
It will be any minute now before Orochimaru catches up to her. Sakura hasn't lost sight of the Snake Sannin and she can now see him following swiftly after her while Naruto and Sasuke waits at their rendezvous point.
Sakura can feel her limbs flexing in anticipation for the fight while she finally reaches the rendezvous point. She stops on her tracks and waits for Orochimaru to appear before her.
She doesn't need to wait long because Orochimaru slinks into view a moment later. Before he does so, however, Sakura makes certain to deactivate her eyes to prevent Orochimaru from suspecting anything.
"Sasuke, where are your other team mates?" Orochimaru asks her.
"They went on ahead to report you," Sakura lies as she prepares herself.
Meanwhile, she can sense both Sasuke and Naruto nearby as they gear up to attack.
"No one can stop me from getting what I want Sasuke, not even the Anbu," Orochimaru remarks as he steps closer.
Sakura narrows her eyes at him just as she hears Naruto exclaiming, "Now, Sakura!"
At Naruto's shout, Sakura jumps back and watches as ninja wires suddenly appear to wrap around the Snake Sannin while there is a burst of smoke when Naruto's shadow clones flood the area. It is soon followed by Sasuke shouting, "Katon: Homuranagase!" while multiple small fireballs blasted on the trap Orochimaru.
However, it seems that Orochimaru suspected the surprise attack because he disappears into a cloud of smoke and replaces himself with a log. In a flash, the log hangs inside the burning ninja wires while the three genins scramble to find the real Orochimaru.
Sakura gathers chakra in her fists and eyes as she tries to find where Orochimaru is hiding. The next thing she knows, a dozen shuriken rains down on her while she leaps back and straight into the Sannin. However, she can see that it is a clone as she excamines it with her byakugan.
From the corner of her eyes, she realizes that Sasuke, who is disguised as her, is similarly attacked while Naruto faces off another clone.
She continues to pour chakra in her hands. As she does so, she senses something strange in her hands. A slight shifting of sorts in her muscles and bones. She also feels a throbbing pain there as well. And when she looks down at her hands, she can see pale white bones protruding from her palms. Her eyes widen in shock and her momentary distraction nearly causes her head as the clone swipes a wicked-looking katana at her.
"Not only do you have the rinnegan and the byakugan, but it looks like you have the shikotsumyaku of the Kaguya Clan as well," the clone Orochimaru says out loud, which is followed by a question. "What are you?"
It looks like Sakura's disguise is no longer useful. Not when there are sharp bones sticking out from the palm of her hands.
At the same time, Sakura suddenly feels alarmed when she notices the interest in the clone's eyes.
When Sakura doesn't respond to the clone's question. It grins at her and says, "It appears that there has been a change of plans. The real me will have to choose you instead of Sasuke for his next vessel."
Sakura freezes at the clone's statement while he grins widely at her.
A moment later, she glares at the clone and thinks savagely. No, I won't let Orochimaru make me his next vessel!
Afterward, she aims her deadly hands at the clone and wills herself to shoot her bones at him.
Sakura expects to fail the first time and is astonished to see when the bones from her palms separate and shoot forward with precision and embeds itself unto the clone's chest where the clone disperse into a cloud of smoke.
