A.N: More than half of this chapter is just Lyanna's point of view.

[Lyanna Targaryen]

"Where do we miss Rhaegar?" Lying on your bed, Lyanna thought as she remembered everything that happened last two years, since there was not much she could do, given the current state of her pregnancy.

It all started two years ago at the Harrenhall Tourney. One of Lyanna's father's initiatives, besides sending Ned to be created by the Guardian of the East and establish an engagement between Brandon and Catelyn Tully, to reduce the distance from the north of the other kingdoms, was to take the whole family to the tournament organized by the Lord of Harrenhall.

Many things happened in those ten days. First there was the incident with Howland, seeing one of his father's vassal — a boy not much older than herself — being assaulted to revolt, so she picked up a wooden sword for training and used it to beat the three cowards. On the night of the opening day of the tournament, his father announced that besides Brandon, she would also marry someone from the south, the young lord of Storm's End, Robert Baratheon.

Ned was exultant, just like Robert, who was delighted with the beauty of his bride. She did not think the engagement big thing, just was surprised to not be with some Northern heir, were not a few suitors in his hand and affection between Northern men, like Robett Glover. But as he talked to Brandon, during the banquet; Robert, in a clear demonstration of lack of respect for her, began to touch the servants - against their will - during the banquet that night, that filled her with anger.

The only positive point that night was when the man by which Lyanna would come in love, Prince Rhaegar, picked up his harp and began to sing. To his shame, she was also among the girls who cried when the silver prince sang, mainly because her little brother Benjen just stopped mocking her for that when she poured the wine from her cup on his head.

Three days later, after acquiring enough pieces enough to form a complete armor, Lyanna enrolled in the righteous as a mysterious knight, being called the knight of the tree laughing because of the represent in her shield, and challenged the three knights of the Squires who dared to attack Howland. Was the desire to do justice for one of the loyal vassals of his house, and a close friend in the little time they met, Lyanna used all the anger that she was guarding from the feast of the first night, and so she defeated the horses of Haigh, Blount and Frey.

After that the three knights, humiliated, met his demands and disciplined his squires, then the public — who did not like the three — applauded it for defeating them. Unfortunately, the king's paranoia was noticed, with the madman thinking that I represete him in her shield was laughing at him, as a form of insult, and that she was there to kill him. She barely managed to hide in time.

Fortunately, it was Rhaegar who found her the banks of the eye of God, struggling to take the armor she had used. However, that did not stop her from being scared and afraid he would take her to her father.

"Stay calm Lady Stark, you're not in trouble." Said the prince at that moment, realizing she was worried, before going to help her get rid of armor. "I must say Lady Stark, that your performance at the righteousness was impressive, I've never seen anyone ride as well as you, and I've seen many skilled knights.

"Thank you, My Prince." Thanked her, half embarrassed with Targaryen's legitimate praise.

After that, they spent some time talking, before they need to return. Rhaegar had shown his father the shield of her, and told everyone that the knight of the tree laughed had escaped and that only the shield had left behind. However, knowing Aerys's paranoia would only increase, Lyanna and Rhaegar presented himself to the king, only both, so she could tell the king to do what she had done. Fortunately, the presence of the son made the king not suspect so much of her.

Surprisingly, the man of disturbing appearance congratulated her for putting those below her in her place, punishing them for the actions of her squire.

In the remaining days of the tournament, Lyanna and Rhaegar spent hours talking and training together, with Princess Elia joining at both time or another. She could not tell right when, but she began to fall in love with the couple.

Yes, she knew it was wrong to wish a married man, especially being a bride of another, but with Robert she would not marry, at least not if he did not change his habits and overcome his vices for prostitutes and servant. Besides, Rhaegar was all she expected of a man, was noble and respectful, in saying that his taciturn nature had some charm. Overall, he was the kind of man she would marry with no problem.

When he crowned the queen of love and beauty instead of Elia, she smiled, even when everyone was silent and the features of Robert and Brandon began to show irritation. But later that day, she and Elia had a small discussion with Rhaegar.

"That was reckless from your part Rhaegar!" Said Elia, when the three met.

"I have to agree with Elia, you should not have crowned me." She said, thinking about what this simple gesture would impact. "But I liked it."

"I know you were risky, but I could not stop doing it." Rhaegar said, sighing because of the recklessness of his own actions. "I have not crowned you only in recognizing your beauty Lya, but of your strength as well.

"You could have said that you idiot!" Exclaimed Winterfell's wolf in a caring tone, but still reprehensible.

"I could, I'm sorry, I hope you do not have problems with your father." In a defeated tone, Rhaegar speaks. "I could explain it to him because of my actions."

"And make Lord Stark realize you're in love with Lyanna?" Do not even think about doing this Rhaegar Targaryen, you've already caused too much trouble. Elia intervened, preventing her husband from doing something impulsivo. "Let Lyanna deal with him."

As expected, she had certain problems with her father, who became angry with Rhaegar's actions, and considered her foolish by trying to defend him and not see what the heir prince was trying to do. Thus, the whole family returned to Winterfell, where his father tried in all ways to convince her from how important she was married to Robert Baratheon.

She understood that the north could no longer be isolated, after all the winters were getting longer — the last having lasted for almost six years, she remembered very well from him — and the Northern agricultural production was not enough to meet everyone who lived in him, but she did not He would marry a man who didn't love, and that above all, he did not respect her and clearly saw her more as an achievement.

Thus, letters began to be sent between her, Elia and Rhaegar, they were his way to relieve his frustration, especially when Robert began to come to Winterfell with the intention of courting her, making her see that her vices only They increased, with her even coming to see three servings coming out of the room that was prepared for him. She liked to tell how things were going in Winterfell, beyond his father's insistence on marrying her with the deer, and from knowing how little Rhaenys was Growing — she loved the little girl, even though she had lived less than a week with her, Rhaenys simply had a way to delight everyone (except his grandfather, who only saw his dornish traits) — as Elia's pregnancy was going well despite his fragile body because of the previous pregnancy.

Through the letters she could feel the love that Elia and Rhaegar felt for each other and for the children, time and time again Lyanna felt that their love extended to her as well, so she couldn't help but find herself falling more and more in love for the couple and, with each passing day, she wanted to be with them even more.

Then, with a month to go before Brandon's wedding to Lady Catelyn, her father made the announcement that made her finally make a decision, a drastic decision.

One night, after dinner Rickard called his children to his manor, and told them that they were going to Riverrun, so that they could help in the wedding preparations, and that he had decided that in addition to Brandon and Catelyn, Lyanna and Robert would also cause each other, it would be a double wedding. Apparently her father was too blinded by his desire to bring the North closer to the South, so he couldn't see that Lyanna despised Robert.

"I'm not going to spend the rest of my life married to a man who can't keep his dick out of whores and handmaidens. "That's what she'd told Benjen when she'd asked him to help her pack for her escape, before she'd sent Rhaegar a letter suggesting that the two of them do so.

So, a few days after arriving in Riverrun, Lyanna made up the excuse that she would go to the Isle of Faces to pray, and found Rhaegar on the shores of the Gods Eye. So, after being wed both before a weirwood tree, on the Isle of Faces, with the three Kingsguard who accompanied Rhaegar as witnesses, and in the Sept of Harrenhall, the two departed.

Many would think that what she did to Rhaegar was reckless and idiotic, and would call her a naive and irresponsible girl, for having shied away from her 'duties'. That is, if they knew she had run off with her husband. Even Robert, whom she had rejected again — for the umpteenth time — three days before meeting Rhaegar on the Isle of Faces, believed and screamed to everyone who could and whether or not they wanted to hear that she had been kidnapped.

As if she, therefore she, the Wolf of Winterfell, would allow herself to be kidnapped. That those who didn't know her would believe this lie of an immature bum with a bruised ego — because that's what Robert was — didn't surprise her, but that her father and older brothers did, that was a surprise.

Apparently her father didn't know her well enough to believe she was kidnapped, or was just annoyed that his master plan couldn't come to fruition. His older brothers seemed to be equally blind to the truth, Brandon's rage caused by the Prince's "kidnapping" her, the Blood of Wolf was unnaturally strong in him — as demonstrated by the time the eldest Stark son nearly killed his best friend. of his bride, Petyr Baelish —making him very irritable; not only that... Brandon obviously shared the idea that she was just feigning disinterest in Robert to make the conquest more interesting for the Stag.

Already Ned, had his affection for Robert and the desire to finally be the brother of the young Lord Baratheon, which made him deaf to his sister's words that she would not marry his friend... she knew, having left for the Vale when she was only five years old, besides she was sure that it was Ned who had suggested to her father that he make her engaged to Robert.

And Robert... well, it was pretty obvious that he only wanted to marry her to be connected to Ned, having said several times that Ned was the brother he had chosen. If that were all, Lyanna might have been content with the idea of a loveless marriage, but she would never marry a man who couldn't keep his dick away from other women, be they nobles, servants, or whores. It was this, along with the lie he helped propagate, that made her despise him, when before she had only felt anger and disdain.

Even though she enjoyed the tales and songs of knights and maidens, she wasn't naive and knew how to separate sex from love, she understood that everyone had needs and that sex was a need. What makes her despise Robert, and above all, run away with Rhaegar, was the stag's total lack of respect for her. Not even when he spoke that she had been kidnapped and was certainly being raped for all who could hear, and professed his love for her, did Robert Baratheon fail to take whores to her bed. So even if she hadn't run away with her husband, Lyanna Stark would never be Lyanna Baratheon.

How did she know about what the Baratheon did or didn't do? The servants who went and came from small fortresses of the red mountains to take care of her whispered about things that were said outside the walls of Lyanna's refuge.

Also, Arthur, Gerold, and Oswell brought whispers of war every week; that's even before Rhaegar received a missive from his father, ordering him to return and take command of the loyalist forces and crush the rebellion. Every piece of news was worse bad, but the worst news the former Stark received was the death of her father and brother.

When Sir Oswell told her that her brother had gone to King's Landing and was arrested for demanding that Rhaegar "return" her and meet him in combat, the young princess wanted to take her horse and ride to the capital, tell the truth to his brother and ask King Aerys to release him. If not for Rhaegar reminding her that she was pregnant, she would have left.

"I'm only two moons pregnant Rhaegar, not crippled, I can still ride as well as ever!" She snapped at the time.

"I know, but the trip from here to King's Landing would be risky, many criminals are taking advantage of this civil war to do what they want." Rhaegar replied, making her understand a little of her concern, not only for her, but also for the baby growing in her womb. "Besides, I won't allow my father to have another hostage under the best of circumstances, gods know what he would do under the worst of circumstances."

Thus, she gave up the idea of going to King's Landing, because he was right in saying that in her pregnant state it was too dangerous for her to go to King's Landing, not to mention that she could really become a hostage of Aerys.

Though, just under three moons later, Rhaegar had to leave, as his friend Jon Connington had been stripped of his position as Hand of the King and exiled on account of his defeat by the forces of Ned and Hoster Tully in the clash that received the called the Battle of the Bells, and Aerys demanded that Rhaegar go command the loyalist forces.

"I need to go, but don't worry Lya, Sir Gerold, Sir Oswell and Arthur will stay here to protect you." Rhaegar spoke, trying to reassure her.

"My Prince, I am a Royal Guarda, my duty is to you." Arthur replied, finishing helping the prince to wear his armor. "Oswell and the Lord Commander will be enough to protect the princess."

"I'm not saying that Sir Gerold and Sir Oswell aren't good enough, but they don't know their way around the Red Mountains like you Sir Arthur." Lyanna replied, reminding the knight that only he knew these lands.

"She's right Arthur, the tower is not self-sufficient, you know that very well, and if Gerold or Oswell went to Starfall instead of her, it would be difficult to return with the necessary supplies." Said Rhaegar. "Besides, I will be with Sir Jonothor, Prince Lewyn and most of all, Sir Barristan. You need not worry about my safety, worry about Lyanna's.

"Just be careful My Prince, there's a lot at stake." Asked Arthur, accepting that he would have to stay.

"I echo his words, be careful husband." Lyanna asked, before standing on her tiptoes to kiss the prince's lips.

"When we see each other again, you will have our Visenya in your arms." Rhaegar said affectionately after the short kiss, before kneeling down and kissing his wife's belly. "Kepa loves you my little princess."

"I already told you Rhaegar, it will be a prince not a princess, a mother knows these things, never doubt it." The young princess spoke, with a smile on her face. "We'll be safe here, Rhaegar, awaiting your return, me and our son.

"I will miss you, Lya, every day until we can be together again." Said Rhaegar, giving her one last kiss before leaving. "Protect my wife and child, good Sirs."

"We are going My Prince." Answered the three royal guards, almost in unison.

"Be safe and come back soon, my love, the gods protect you." Thought Lyanna, as she watched her beloved ride away from her, towards the war, in which she would have to fight her brother, unless Rhaegar managed to tell Ned the truth.

So Rhaegar went off to War, the first letter that came weeks later and all the others that followed did little to lessen the longing she felt for her husband, she could barely part for this war to be over and she could see him again, and her family can finally be together. Little did she know that this would be the last time they would see each other, at least in this lifetime.

About two moons later, a Crow arrived from Starfall, and Lyanna, for the first time, believed what they always said about birds, "black wings, dark words." Rhaegar... her Rhaegar... her Silver Prince... her husband, the man she loved, was dead. He couldn't even know her child... he couldn't even know that he was wrong and their first child — now the only one they would ever have — would be an Orys, not a Visenya. With that thought, her world ended and all was lost, allowing her to realize that the pain she was feeling wasn't just emotional, it was physical pain too... and it was big, really big.

So, unable to bear the pain, she screamed... no, she howled.

"No, it's not time yet." Thought Lyanna when she realized what was happening to her, luckily the handmaiden her three protectors had hired to care for her when her pregnancy became too advanced would arrive soon.

[Arthur Dayne]

He knew he shouldn't have listened to Rhaegar and gone with him into battle, but he hadn't, and now his prince... his best friend... his brother by choice... was dead. And he... had failed in his oath as a Kingsguard.

"Arthur, what does it say there, is the war over?" Princess Lyanna asked, snapping her out of her stupor, but he only managed to nod, causing her to crack a satisfied smile. "Rhaegar is coming to get us, did he tell us to go to King's Landing?"

"Arthur, you're very pale, what's happened?" asked Lord Commander Hightower.

"If you're not going to talk, let me read it, it's like someone died!" Oswell said, in his usual sullen tone, taking the letter from Dayne's hands.

"What does this letter say, tell me at once!" - Lyanna shouted, irritated with the delay of Arthur and Oswell in telling her.

"Princess, you better not..." Gerold began, having read the letter after Oswell.

"I want to know Gerold!" - She interrupted, making it clear that she would not give up on knowing. "Tell me!" Did something happen to my brother, to Rhaegar?

"Princess, your brother is fine, but the prince… he fell. - Arthur replied, still not believing what he had read. "Rhaegar faced Robert on the Trident, and was killed by him.

"No, it can't be. - Said the princess.

"It's true, Lady Ashara said that Robert himself wrote the letters that were sent to all the houses, and according to her, the bloody kin killer was pretty descriptive about how he killed Rhaegar." It was Oswell who answered, as Arthur was still speechless with shock. "The stag slammed its warhammer into the prince's chest, cracking his ribs, before crushing his head with another blow."

"Get out." Was all Lyanna said in response, almost in a whisper.

"Princess?" Gerold asked, not having heard her request.

"Get out, I need to be alone." She repeated, her voice choked and tearful, on the verge of breaking.

So, without saying anything, the three left the princess's chambers. Even so, as they descended the stairs of the tower, they heard the princess's wail.

"No, you promised Rhaegar, you promised me you'd come back to us!" She cried for a few minutes.

After that, all was silent for nearly an hour, before Lyanna's screams started again, which caused the three of them to run back into the tower and run upstairs.

"What is happening? the Lord Commander of the Kingsguard asks.

"Her water broke, she's in labor." Answered the only resident servant of the tower, the last one who was hired to take care of the princess.

"But it's not time yet!" Argued Arthur, surprised by the baby wanting to be born earlier. "There's still almost a moon to go. It's too risky for her to go into labor right now!

"It doesn't matter if it's still early Dayne, it's happening!" Oswell replied, before addressing the servant. "What you need?"

"More water in a basin, clean cloths, and get you out!" Exclaims the midwife, helping Lyanna into the correct position.

The two items were quickly provided.

"Great, now stay out of the room, I'll need to call you several times!" He shouted at the midwife, before taking a deep breath, as it would be long hours. "Let's get started princess, you need to help me help you. I need you to push, push the child out.

"R-r-right!" Lyanna replied, before rolling another scream that could be heard for a radius of dozens of meters from the tower.

The next ten hours that followed were long, and throughout them, the Targaryen princess fainted five times because of the pain of the contractions, in addition to that she was losing a lot of blood. Fortunately, the last two hours were easier, even though the young mother was very weak.

"Okay princess, we did it." Said the midwife, giving the newborn baby a light bath after giving her a light pat on the bottom, to check if he is breathing properly, handing him to the mother then, wrapped in one of the cloths, wiping his hands on the other. "It's a boy, a beautiful boy."

"My little prince, my little Dragon Wolf." Lyanna whispers, before kissing her newborn son's forehead.

Thus, the midwife placed the dirty cloths inside the basin with water, then left the room to speak with the three knights.

"The princess has lost a lot of blood and needs rest, and the little prince was born earlier than he should have been." She said. "For now they'll be fine, but they'll need more care than I can give."

With that, while the midwife walked towards the stairs, in order to discard the dirty water and wash the cloths stained by the princess's blood, the three knights entered the room to see her and the newborn prince.

"How are you, princess?" Asked Arthur, seeing her paler than usual.

"Exhausted, I never thought it would be so hard to give birth to a child." Lyanna replies, her voice weak but in a cheerful tone, placing the glass she had just drank from back on the dresser next to her bed. "Sir Arthur, Sir Gerold, Sir Oswell, may I present Orys Rhaegar Targaryen."

"Orys?" Questioned Gerold, ignoring the movement of the former Stark to release one of her breasts so that the newborn prince could suckle. "Why a Baratheon name for a Targaryen prince?"

"Before he was the founder of House Baratheon, Orys was a Targaryen, even though he was not the son of the same mother as Aegon, Rhaenys, and Visenya." The young mother replies, holding her son's head to facilitate breastfeeding. "Besides, Orys and Aegon were as close as two brothers can be, people forgot that, especially in this rebellion. Just as the Conqueror and the One Hand united the Seven Kingdoms, little Aegon and my Orys will have to reforge the bond that holds the Seven Kingdoms together. A king is a good general and advisor, and no Targaryen king since Aegon I has had one who fulfilled both roles as well as his half brother. That's why I chose that name for my son."

"Not to mention that the founder of House Targaryen in Old Valyria was also named Orys, so this could be considered an homage by anyone who even heard of ancient Targaryen history." Comment Arthur. "But why Rhaegar as a middle name?"

"Rhaegar told me that his name means rebirth, and that Queen Rhealla chose to name him that because he was born at the exact moment when House Targaryen nearly became extinct." Explained the princess, in a melancholy tone. "I like the meaning, and I want my son to have something of his father, something that connects him more to my Rhaegar."

"I'm sure Orys will be as good a man as his father." said Oswell, trying to cheer Lyanna up.

"I agree." Arthur replied.

"Me too." Gerold spoke, before turning to Arthur. "Arthur, I want you to go to Starfall and bring medical supplies, and if you can, bring your family maester to tend to the princess."

"Right now, Lord Commander." Answers Arthur, turning to do what he was ordered.

[Ashara Dayne]

After beastfeeding her daughter, who was born three days ago, and putting her to sleep, Ashara took a sheet of paper and her quill and dipped it in the ink, letting out a sad sigh – as there were no more tears to be shed. — before starting to write.

'Arthur,

I know that the last letter I sent you didn't contain the best of news, and I am very sorry to be giving you yet another bad news.

Elia and the children are dead. Robert Baratheon laughed at their corpses after crowning himself king.

Earlier I received a letter from Sir Jaime, in which he said that Aerys had reached the height of his madness and intended to burn the entire King's Landing with Wildfire, killing everyone in it, just so that Tywin Lannister and Robert Baratheon would not take it.

Sir Jaime said he had no choice but to kill Rossart and Aerys to stop such a heinous plan. Afterwards, he hurried to find Elia and get her out of the Red Keep with the children, but some Lannister soldiers caught them before Jaime could reach Aerys' chambers to access the secret passageway that would be used to get Elia, Rhaenys, and Aegon out of the castle.

In the midst of the confusion Sir Jaime was knocked unconscious, and when he woke up he discovered what Gregor Clegane and Armory Torch had done to Elia, Aegon and Rhaenys.

Bring Lyanna here Arthur, I know she's in the last stages of her pregnancy and it can be dangerous to take a trip to Starfall, but it would be better if she were here for when the baby is born. So she can receive our master's full assistance, this tower is not a suitable place for a woman to have a baby.

My daughter was born, Artie, five days ago, I want you to meet your niece, and I want her to meet her cousin. Her names is Adhara, after our mother.

You don't need to stay here long, just long enough for Lyanna to give birth and recover. After that, you can leave for Dragonstone and from there go to Essos with Queen Rhaella, Viserys and the queen's baby.

I know you and Gerold and Oswell will try to press for the claim of Lya's child, be it a girl or a boy, but the loyalist houses have been defeated and will no doubt be heavily penalized. Not even the Velarion would be in a position to support a restoration, at least in the short term.

Essos is the best choice my brother, form a mercenary company, or else claim command of the Golden Company, there are no more Blackfyres for them to serve, and if they want to return to Westeros, they must all follow a Targaryen.

I'm sorry to be taking somber words, and I ask that you consider following my suggestion.

Hoping this letter finds you well,

your sister Ashara.'

So, after sprinkling some drying powder over the still-wet ink, the eldest daughter of the Dayne house folds the letter, takes a candle and melts it so that the wax can collect on the crease of the paper, and then picks it up. your personal seal to mark the letter.

With a last sigh, the woman decides to write another letter, this time to her daughter's father.

'My beloved Ned,

I know this may be difficult for you to read, but I felt you deserved to know this.

We have a daughter.

Her name is Adhara, our Adhara. Ned she is so beautiful, she looks like an angel! She is as quiet as you are, my Silent Wolf.

I want so much for you to get to know her, to see the fruit of our love, something just ours, the only thing this war didn't take away from us.

With love and always yours,

Ash.

Ps: her sister will be in Starfall within a week at most. But don't worry Ned, she's safe.'

Having finished writing the second letter, Ashara repeats the same process before heading to the maester's office to ask him to send both letters.

A.N: Sorry for the delay, but I couldn't write much because my cell phone charger had problems, and I couldn't spend much of its battery. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed the chapter.
