Mediziner's Notes: Most of this is fighting, probably considered this a filler, yes? Sorry if it's not very good... Action is something I mostly struggle with but I'm trying my best. I feel the need to add in some explanation to any possible confusion: The Scotland Yard Brave Police for fans that may not be familiar with them are the United Kingdom's own Brave Police Team created through a joint collaboration with Japan. Whenever they have dialogue in bold if any, it's always in English while with the others, Radiant Prism will alternate between German and Japanese respectively at times but mostly from expressions depending on how she reacts, so sort of similar'ish to like that of Gunmax but doesn't break her own language due to German being her native language.
The trio criminals Eberhard, Uwe, and Hans as well as the corrupted evil shapeless Super A.I. Shapeshifter and any other of my antagonists always speak German, they can't speak Japanese, English, or any other so their text is always bold. Finally, bold text if you've been following this series is not at all limited to German at, but other languages too. Normal quoted text is to indicate the show's primary language as Japanese. (Since Deckerd and his team live in Japan. Once again, just pretend/imagine the language in your head.) and all foreign languages are always bold regardless of what language it is.
Some may ask "why not type in the actual languages and translate them at the bottom?" The main reason for this is that I don't want to force people to scroll up or down to look for the translations... And also avoid conflict with people who may speak different variant/dialects of whatever the language it's in because there are languages around the world that are a little different in sayings/phrases/etc between various people. For one good example, Take British English and American English, same language BUT the dialects and sayings/words are different from one another. Look it up to learn more about the different dialects between the two. Likewise with countries that have a specific language in more than one country.
For me, it's better to just imagine it in your head for fun rather than going through the trouble of making yourself dizzy scrolling up and down to find the translation... ^^; As a fast reader like myself, it's a painful thing for me to do, google translate or no. Finally, also here's a new key to explain the last bits of chapter 24 and will also be used here on out in future chapters. Bold thoughts are pretty much thinking in their respective foreign language. This wasn't added in the beginning of the prequel nor at the beginning of the chapter. (I put the key in both the 1st part of the prequel or the 1st chapter depending if people choose to skip the prequel.) So yeah, added along the lines.

Despite limited in what he could do, Jack refused to give up. Rook was already in the air dealing with the strew of wires chasing after him, flawlessly dodging and slicing the wires away. 'As long as Paul can keep most of them off me, it should help me find some sort of a weak spot. Tch! Times like this I wish I could retract just half of my boomerang's blades to slice some of these wires away rather than retract both sides when thrown...' He thought, barely avoiding a sneaky set of wires intending to catch him off guard. He was suddenly struck by a thick bundle of wires from behind and was knocked forward with a grunt of pain, scraping forward just a few meters.
This did not go unnoticed by Rook when he saw his teammate get struck by the attack.
"Jack, quit trying to keep fighting! You've taken so much damage and if you keep it up any further, shut down will be imminent!" Rook called out as his teammate got back up but soon saw him stumble when one of the wires attempted to grab him. While he mostly dodged them, some of them did get caught into one of the openings in his shoulder and other parts of his body, ripping out some of his outer armour with the intent on not only trying to grab him but to tear him apart as much as possible. With more and more of Jack's joints and parts becoming exposed, it would only be a matter of time where the criminals would take advantage of those exposed parts should they successfully grab him. Regardless, Rook had to do everything he could with all he's got.
"Just shut up and keep them distracted! I'm trying to find a weak spot here so we can have a better advantage against this guy!" Jack snapped, quickly hearing the criminal exclaim shortly after Rook sprayed in a small burst in a straight line which successfully annoyed the criminals that more than one voice could be heard as all of the wires were now focused on taking Rook out of the skies. For a brief moment Jack was stunned, he had completely forgotten that there was more than one pilot rather than just one but had just barely managed to dodge a stream of bullets in his direction when they came his way.
The two Braves worked hard to keep the criminals busy. Rook discovered that the method of trying to tangle up the criminal's attack didn't work, one of them most likely reading out what he was doing as they laid out various traps to get him. 'So Jack was right... They're starting to read my every move now. Damn, I need to be on an even more cautious guard from here on out since one of them must be extremely good at tactical approaches!' Thought Rook, quickly slicing away some of the wires that managed to wrap around his foot and another set trying to grab his arms, forcing him to do a brief rapid spin then quickly dropped, disabling his thrusters altogether to avoid the wires grabbing him the moment he stopped, quickly reactivating his thrusters as he avoided the wires as he gained height. "Alright criminals, enough with the games! I'll show you what it means to mess with the Scotland Yard Brave Police!" He called out, starting to dive down into a charge towards at the criminal with his cutlasses at the ready.
Despite the little to no progress in trying to locate any weak spots. The two of them were both determined to keep their attention away from Radiant Prism and keep them occupied on them instead- Or more or less on Rook who suffered the least amount of damage. The green coloured jet was putting all of his might to keep a lot of the attention on him primarily due to Jack's increasing damage. With the opportunity presented to him, he brought out something stored away in one of his hip skirt plate. "Hey Jack, catch!" Immediately, Jack caught whatever came his way, noticing that it was a box of ammunition. "Load those into your handgun, I don't have time to explain but hurry!" At his words, the tri-coloured Brave had half a processor to berate Rook that they were of both equal ranks and refuses to follow his orders, but this was both neither the time with how dangerous the situation was between them and these multiple criminals. One glance was all it took to realise that these were electrified rounds, wondering if Rook intended to find some sort of weak spot to hit them with? He took out his own handgun and after dodging another incoming stream of bullets. Taking cover, he ejected his magazine, swapping out some of the standard rounds out for some of the electricity charged bullets. Once he finished, he clipped the magazine back into his handgun. 'I'll have to remind myself when I'm about to fire an electrified round so I can't be careless. ...I have only about a few left in the box.' Now to see if I can- What the!?'
Quickly rolling out of the way of two incoming streams of bullets, Jack cursed to himself as he felt some of the criminal's ammunition grazing his body as he was forced to get out of cover. As he quickly moved to the next place to take cover, he was fortunate the bullets that grazed him didn't damage any of his joints. What he did see however was that the smaller turrets which he knows are the ones used for firing bullets at him and Rook... Were starting rotating out for something bigger than previously. 'Don't tell me those are bloody missiles... Sure that allows an easier opening to fire an electrified bullet inside of their bloody guns but turrets that could be either be missiles or shells used with mortar technology? Too risky to fire any kind of bullet in there... Damn it!' He felt the pressure intensifying more than usual. Not only did he need to find some sort of weak spot, but he also needed to make sure they don't fire whatever dangerous ammunition is stored within them, lest the Japanese Brave Police have no place to return to. He wasn't fond of having to find a place to recharge and is not even fancying the idea of recharging out in the open where petty criminals intending to try their luck on targeting him in particular, knowing the Japanese wouldn't know that the markings on the side of his vehicle mode are indications that he's a police officer. He'd sometimes wonder why the humans all around the world don't teach people what police cars looked like in other countries but that was a thought for another time.
"Paul! I think they've got missiles or mortar shells!" He called out to his teammate. "Bullets I can get out of the way of, but other different types of ammunition...?"
"What do you mean missiles and mortar shells!?" Rook exclaimed, having to make a few tight maneuvers mid-change into his robot mode, slicing through more wires with one cutlass while the other held his handgun, shooting at a few parts he believed would've been a weak point but seemed to yield no results. Immediately, he swiftly sliced a few more wires that nearly grabbed him by the legs. He managed to circle around seeing slightly larger turrets trained on Jack. "Jack get out of there! If you take one hit from a missile-"
"I get it! I'm still trying to find a- Wait, I think I see it! Keep them distracted long enough while I do something here!" Spotting what seemed to be a slight opening followed by some sparks emitting out of it, Jack quickly got into position and took aim. However the criminals caught onto this choice and took action.
"Enough games!" Bellowed Eberhard, the wires would eventually coordinate, some of them spreading out to focus on Jack. Rook immediately took action, intending to focus as many of them on him as he sliced some of the wires before they could wrap around Jack and restrain him. Unfortunately, he discovered too late that he had recklessly allowed himself to fly right into a coordinated wire net trap. As Rook changed form and tried to fly backwards, green jet felt some of them wrap around his legs. "Oh no! Gotta-" Before he could quickly react and slice them off, he was suddenly pulled from the skies and slammed hard into the ground, where he was immediately dragged across multiple buildings before he could react as each one he was being thrown into them like a robotic wrecking ball, each building crumbled on top of him. Covered in dents and scratches, Rook tried to go for his handgun but more wires immediately slither towards Rook, tightening it's grip entirely on his arms and soon the rest of his body, intending on crushing him.
"Paul! Tch, damn it all!" Jack grit his teeth, knowing the wires would focus on him next, trying to figure out what he could do as he dodged a few more incoming bullets. Quickly limping himself under the trio's machine. 'I doubt they'll be stupid enough to fire those missiles right under their feet.' He thought. As he was trying to figure out an idea, he took notice to one of Rook's cutlasses, then at the weak spot. Getting an idea, he cursed to himself knowing he had no other choice but to try and throw his boomerang into the weak spot. Tightening his grip, he stared back at the trio's mecha. 'I'm out of other options but... If I can just toss it at that weak spot without missing...' Proceeding to limp he calculated the distance, wind, and began moving into position. Knowing he'd have to act quickly once he was in position, he quickly readied himself into a throwing stance. Jack flinched as one of his wounds began to spark but didn't recoil, determined to make that throw. He ignored the warnings flashing across his visuals, it was now or never and he only had one shot to hit the mark with his trusty boomerang without using his guiding system. Just as he was about to throw it, wires suddenly slithered around his legs then up to the rest of his body, focusing primarily onto his arms as the criminals restrained him. The tri-coloured Brave wasn't surprised that they knew he intended to do something, using all of his strength to keep himself from being pulled to the ground as he felt the wires pull him down, attempting to prevent him from throwing his weapon. Despite this, he didn't dare let it, nor his extensive injuries slow him down as he began to fight against the restrainment.
A barrage of bullets would hit suddenly Jack from all locations, causing him to cry out in agony. When they ceased, he remained standing albeit now leaking fuel and hydraulic fluids from all over. "What!? How the hell are you still standing!? You should have lost all hydraulic movements!" Eberhard growled. "Tch, end of the line Brave Police!" With weapons trained, a trail of bullets were coming Jack's way. Just as the bullets nearly reached Jack, their aim had violently shifted away from him by just mere centimeters before they could even graze any part of him. Feeling the wires loosening, Jack quickly broke free and looked around to see who was the cause of that, but noticed something at the front of the station's building. It didn't take him long to identify that it was Radiant Prism who managed to somehow cause those machine turrets to change course, away from him. What he didn't fail to notice was that she clearly looked like she was in pain, and was weary, very weary.
"Get... Hurry... Nngh..." Radiant Prism rasped, clutching one servo to her helm, struggling to keep herself standing.
"Damn you...! Awake or not, this ends here Radiant Prism!" The sudden voice of both Eberhard and Hans quickly alerted Radiant Prism, quickly running off to the sides so the trail of incoming bullets don't get into the repair bay and hurt one of the mechanics. Her helm felt like someone cleaved it in half along with her Super A.I. felt like it was being strangled by some sort of program that she couldn't identify. She continued to run, avoid the trail of bullets chasing after her "I'm not... Going to... Give up!" Her aim was shaky, returning fire whenever she managed to do so, but and no matter what she did, nothing seemed to take effect. Jack on the other hand could see that Radiant Prism was distracting the criminals. As for the wires that once held him down, they were now fully focusing on Radiant Prism at maximum. 'I see... She's the main target of these guys. Hm...'
"Bloody idiots." He quietly muttered to himself. "They'll have to think twice on leaving themselves open. If I can just..." Readying aim, he wasn't sure how thorough his boomerang could penetrate the inside from the hole in the mecha's armour but he had to still try despite most of his strength had been sapped away thanks to the amount of hydraulic fluids that spilled out of him.
With all of his strength and determination, he threw his boomerang. His focus entirely on his weapon, not wanting to snap his digits too early. Zooming his visuals for a closer look, he quickly snapped his digits using his left servo due to the right one having little to no motor control, the blades retracting on command just seconds before one of the wings hit it's mark. The boomerang was now embedded into the machine, easily slicing into the exposed wiring within as it moved. The barrage of bullets suddenly stopped, and the wires that had been crushing Rook suddenly loosened, allowing the green jet to free himself and recover his cutlass.
"What? No! They've cut a lot of our combat systems! We still have motor control but we can no longer fight! I can't fire any of the main guns!" Uwe exclaimed upon realising the weapons have stopped. "Just as we were about to test our new missiles and mortar systems on her... We have to retreat and get the wiring fixed!"
"Grrrrgh! Not again!" Eberhard seethed angrily. "Hans! Destroy that poorly coloured Brave! Smash him under our feet to show an example that no one should mess with us!"
Having put so much strain on his right arm when he let loose his boomerang, Jack had completely lost all mobility in that arm, now dead weight. He noticed one of the mecha's large legs raising up to stomp on him as he tried to limp away. He heard something slice, and from the shadow he could tell Rook did something, but the shadow was still moving. Something tackled him as he was suddenly lifted into the air, realising that Radiant Prism had caught him in time before he was crushed. The two of them were able to turn around in time after gaining some height as Rook had just sliced some of the turret nozzles, now flying towards the large mecha preparing to slash at it. Second cutlass ready.
However the criminals quickly swatted Rook away, making a hasty retreat. Rook immediately gave chase the moment he recovered but sudden bright lights blinded him. When the lights finally faded, the criminals were already gone.
"Now I see why they're a tricky bunch to catch... But at least now they won't be a threat for the time being." Rook told the other two as both Aerials descended to the ground, Prism letting go of Jack but had to hold him up when he slumped. "Let's get him inside so the mechanics can fix him." At his words, Radiant Prism nodded as she and Rook helped Jack inside and docked him into one of the vacant docking cradles.
"That's... A lot of damage he's sustained. There's no way he can get up and continue fighting." Rook said shortly after the two aerials stepped back to let the mechanics get to work on fixing Jack. The tri-coloured Brave's optics were dim, indicating he was either unconscious or wasn't fully conscious. "I'm a bit banged up myself but Jack's not going to get up for a while. But... Radiant Prism right? Name's Paul Rook, but you can call me either by my designated name in the UK, or the chess piece 'Rook' if you prefer. Anyways... You should get yourself docked back onto any of the vacant docking cradles yourself, you still have all those firewalls and-"
"That can come later, where are the others?" Radiant Prism spoke, still clutching her helm with a servo.
Rook was stunned, unsure what to say at this sudden question. "What? But your-"
"The others, where are they?" She repeated herself.
Rook could only stare at the foreign aerial. Her determination to keep going despite the obvious pain she was in, he wasn't know if she was anything close to being as reckless as Jack but he didn't really have the right to judge due to only meeting Radiant Prism in person this one time and despite originating from different countries, she's clearly higher rank. Knowing whatever he'll say won't change her mind, he felt like Deckerd was going to have his helm for this, but there was nothing he could do and replied. "They went out into the busier part of the city because Yuuta was attacked-"
"Attacked!? I must go immediately." Alarmed, Radiant Prism made her way outside and took off into the skies despite a mechanic calling out for her to stay put. Once she was gone, Rook shook his helm feeling like he should have warned that she was in no condition to carry out as normal, not with the excruciating sensation that she was feeling. He knew nothing about her at all, and considering the situation back where Deckerd and the others are dealing with that bio-machine... He hoped she doesn't get eaten by it the moment she engages it.
...
"The stun grenade isn't working!" McCrane exclaimed, quickly avoiding an incoming attack when it shaped itself and hardened into a copy of himself.
Gunmax Armour quickly dodged another attempt at being grabbed as he shot another electrified round. The electrical surge swirling around it but had no effect on it. "Tch! None of our electrical ammunition is working! What the hell, I thought he was supposed to be weak to this sort of thing! Oi McCrane, are the charges not strong enough?"
"They're loaded with about almost the same voltage capacity as the ones you can detect on powerlines. They should be more than enough to stop the bio-machine... But...!" Replied McCrane.
In the background, Shapeshifter watched with amusement, it's other ten extensions of it's body shaped into each matching individual were fighting the Brave Police. In it's grasp was Yuuta and as long as it held the young boy hostage there was no way the Brave Police could touch them. Aside from absorbing the boy's comms badge to avoid any tricks from him, it also made sure to force him to watch the suffering of his friends as they fight against metallic duplicates of themselves.
On Yuuta's end, he had already known why McCrane's stun grenades and the team's electric rounds weren't working, because the solid part that held Shapeshifter's Super A.I. wasn't in there. Instead, he was controlling them without the risk of getting hurt. The moment he saw Deckerd get knocked back a few meters by his metallic doppelganger, he cried out with worry. "You may as well give up. Your friends will eventually die and no one will come to save you. Not even your little foreign friends you've sent all the way here. In time, the criminals will have them dealt with those foolish Scotland Yard members and Radiant Prism!"
"I may not understand you but whatever you're saying, you're wrong if you think you'll win!" Snapped Yuuta. The boy was visually shaking and overall in tears, but he had to be brave as he tried to struggle against Shapeshifter's slimy restraints. "Deckerd and the others will eventually outsmart your copies and beat you! Many criminals may have outsmarted us every now and then, but justice always wins in the end!"
"How amusing... The little child thinks he's so powerful. A big powerful voice in such a tiny little frail body..." Shapeshifter emitted a sinister chuckle as it pulled Yuuta closer to them as an oddly shaped triangular head surfaced to the top of it's gooey metallic body. Menacing, red triangular shapes that indicated optics glared right back at him. "Language barrier or not, if your friends use those rounds on me, I can't guarantee you'll survive if I get hit. I know fully well that there's enough charge in their ammunition that's more than enough to also kill a human being."
Yuuta felt a wave of fear build up within him from head to toe, but he didn't dare falter. "Y-Your scare tactics don't scare me!" He exclaimed shakily as he began to struggle even further, continuing to spat more and more at the criminal. He screamed the moment the criminal shook him.
"Annoying little brat. I might as well finish you off, this way I can destroy the morality of the Brave Police and be done with this foolish game!" A series of blades formed and solidified around Yuuta, causing him to yelp in startle as Shapeshifter evilly laughed.
"This ends here, human. The last thing you'll remember will be the downfall of the Brave Police!"
Yuuta struggled even further, fear overwhelming him as he tried to get away. Knowing his friends were trapped dealing with the doppelgangers, he completely felt trapped.
"S-SOMEONE HELP ME!"
The sound of a jet engine roared throughout the skies, followed by a stream of bullets trailing along the upper part of the building vertically and upwasrds into the bio-machine as bullets vioently pelted it's metallic slimy frame. Some of the bullets managed to pierce and separate the appendage that held Yuuta, causing Shapeshifter to retract the shot off parts quickly back to it, leaving the boy falling. Before Yuuta could pick up speed from falling, he felt something catch him. Looking up, he was met with someone familiar.
"Radiant Prism!"
"Hold on, sir!" Changing back into her jet mode, Radiant Prism opened her cockpit and with both care and grace, expertly placed Yuuta inside, right into the main pilot's cockpit mid-change. Immediately, she shut her cockpit once he was securely inside as Yuuta quickly buckled himself in. "Radiant Prism, what... But what about your pain?" He managed to say with a bit of worry, clearly still shaking from what the bio-machine had nearly done to him. "You need to get out of here, that thing will not only grab you but Shapeshifter will also eat anything made of metal and circuitry, which means he'll eat you too!"
"The pain is still there... But, I refuse to retreat." Radiant Prism managed to rasp as she had to keep her entire focus on keeping herself airborne and especially from making any wrong moves. "Sir, I'll need your help with something."
"My help?" Yuuta repeated bemusedly.
"The control stick, use it to aim and fire my Gatling gun." Radiant Prism continued. "I can't fly and shoot at the same time. So I'll need you to manually aim and fire at the bio-machine. Don't worry about moving me around, I've arranged my controls to allow you control of the Gatling gun and nothing else while I'll take care of the flying."
Yuuta was surprised. While he had thought of what would it be like to fly in a fighter jet, he never expected that he'd not only ride in one but also control the main guns. "Sir, let's save your... No, our friends."
"Y-Yes!" Feeling courageous, Yuuta took hold of the control stick as Radiant Prism circled around, lining herself up while instructing Yuuta to fire when she calls out for it. Once she was aligned properly and called out to open fire, Yuuta began shooting, however he noticed that he accidentally shot at a few of his friends, exclaiming in shock as he felt guilty that he hurt his friends. "C-Can't you shoot straight?"
"Not completely. I'm trying to fly as straight as possible while pushing aside the excruciating pain, it's... Not easy. But get ready, I'm coming around to let you have another shot at backing up the others."
Radiant Prism expertly circled as she slows her speed just slightly to allow herself more easy turning, wings spread outwards. During the turn, Yuuta took brief notice of the movement of her wings but not for long as he turned his attention to the targets and began firing at them when she made the call to open fire once again. This would repeat a few more times until Shapeshifter eventually became infuriated, calling out to the trio to back them up the moment an electrified shot hit them. "So you're still alive!" He snarled. "Eberhard, Hans, Uwe! Get over here and deal with the Brave Police!"
After a brief pause, there was no immediate response. The bio-machine was furious, did those three dare go against them!? "Eberhard- AAGH!" Their attention turned back to look at the one responsible for shooting them.
"Too bad, bio-machine!" Rook exclaimed in English with a devious tone as he descended into view, his handgun trained on Shapeshifter. "The Scotland Yard's already dealt with your three buddies and you're next! Surrender now!"
"RRRGH! If you think you've won, you're clearly wrong! I'll devour every single one of you while I have the chance!"
Because Shapeshifter had been both losing his temperment and at the same time, heavily distracted by Rook, the green jet couldn't help but snicker. The moment the bio-machine had turned around when no screams of agony and pain were heard, it'd witnessed the large combiner had already set the clones alight with the Fire Sword. "NO!"
"Heh! You should've seen the look on your face! ...Well, that is if you have some sort of a face, right? Don't ya? Ah well!" Rook guffawed quickly getting out of the way as Shapeshifter lashed out at him. "Not so mighty now are you?"
"Damn you! I will see you in particular destroyed one way or another!" With incredible speed, Shapeshifter made a hasty retreat, fleeing down into a nearby subway as Rook tried to fire a few electrical rounds as Shapeshifter fell, but wasn't fast enough as he saw a stream of bullets chasing after where Shapeshifter fled, but not even Radiant Prism was fast enough to even graze the bio-machine.
"Aaaaand gone. Again." Drill Boy frowned, limping over towards his teammates. "I'm aching all over..."
"All of us are, dummy." Power Joe groaned, his mood dropping even further at the damage done to the city. "We're going to have to get ourselves repaired and help clean up this mess and help rebuild the cities..."
As the others talked, Deckerd and Duke separated from their final and respective combined modes. The first thing Deckerd did was quickly look up at the skies, spotting Radiant Prism coming in for a landing in the outskirts. Worried for his best friend, the Brave Detective changed form and sped off. "...I'm surprised that even with the damage Deckerd sustained, he's still able to change form and drive off like he's never taken any damage to begin with." Ten commented, optics widening.
"When it comes to Deckerd, nothing stops him from wanting to find and check on Mini-Boss, no matter how injured he is himself. You're not the only one who's been stunned by this, Heart." Shadowmaru replied once he and Kagerou rejoined the others. Shadowmaru himself had taken some serious damage that he needed help to stand, unable to do so on his own due to a nasty damage in one of his legs. "Deckerd worries tenfold about him, and those two have a special friendship unlike any long before any single one of us came into the picture."
"Power Joe, Dumpson and I have witnessed this during our earliest time since we were first converted into what we are now." McCrane added.
Meanwhile, managing to locate where Radiant Prism landed, Deckerd changed form and quickly ran over to where Radiant Prism was. In response, Radiant Prism opened her cockpit, revealing Yuuta as the young boy climbed out. "Yuuta, are you alright!?" He asked worryingly, reaching with a gentle servo to allow Yuuta to climb on, which he did so without any hesitation. The moment he stepped on however, Deckerd could feel him trembling. "Y-Yuuta..."
"I-I'm okay Deckerd..." Yuuta managed to say shakily. "I'm okay... I'm j-j-just happy I managed to help you a-and the others when... When Radiant Prism fr-freed me from the bio-machine. A-And sorry for a-accidentally shooting you guys when I was shooting at the bio-machine's doppelga-gangers..."
"What happened, Radiant Prism? Why is..."
"While... While the ten of you were distracted fighting those bio-machine's duplicates mimicking you guys, that bio-machine had all sorts of sharp objects pointed at him. I... I can't say if it's to scare or worse..." Radiant Prism managed to say, her voice still hoarse from the pain she was suffering from. The moment Deckerd and Yuuta had cleared enough space for her, she changed form, though remained crouched on one knee and a servo to her helm. She noticed the two of them were sharing a moment of silence, as if they were privately communicating...
The moment of friendship those two shared... She was already starting to miss her own best friend. "We... Need to get back to the station." She told them hesitantly, shakily standing up on both feet. "The others have already relocated themselves there by now. But, I must warn you that most of the area in front of the station once you get close has sustained damage, so it might not be wise to drive the remaining way through." She then shook her helm. "But I think the others cleaning near the station have already cleaned away the rubble off the roads, enough to let you still drive into the station since they're aware you're out here checking on him."
"Alright, let's head back." Gently, Deckerd lowered his servo to the ground so he could set Yuuta down. Once Yuuta was back on the ground, he stood to his full height and took a few steps back to give himself space to change form, opening his door when Yuuta approached to let him inside.
"Radiant Prism, will you be alright flying back to the station?" Deckerd asked.
"I should be, I just need a moment so you two can go on ahead."
...
"Rook, what exactly happened...?"
Ten was dumbfounded. Since he was the least damage among a few other Braves, he had to wait his turn to get his repairs and the moment he and the others returned not that long ago, everyone was shocked to find how badly mangled Jack looked like, as if he had been stepped on, crushed, and torn apart in all sorts of manner possible.
"When I arrived, Jack was holding them back fairly well but that wouldn't last very long, the situation started to get worse the moment he had the guiding control for his boomerang shot out." Rook said, trying not to move his helm too much due to some of the mechanics working around near his shoulders, not wanting to accidentally knock them off. "I hate to admit it, but Jack did the right thing in choosing to stay put. If he was with us rather than here, Radiant Prism- No, the Chief and his mechanics would've been really hurt by the more-or-less successful division they pulled... Worse, if what Jack said to me earlier was true, they probably have data information on me now."
Ten took things into account, if that meant that the trio had scanned information on Jack and Rook...
He suddenly jolted, optics widening. "Th-That means...! Paul, think about it. Because John and Ringo were helping the Brave Police roughly about a month and a half back, that must mean those same criminals could've scanned them too! I... I'm the only one who hasn't been scanned... At least I hope I haven't been scanned yet!"
"Calm down, Ten." One mechanic whom was currently repairing McCrane told him.
Kagerou perked up at hearing something about being scanned. As Ten and Rook talked back and forth about the topic with the latter trying to get him to calm down. It left him wondering if everyone most of the team have been scanned already. He knew most likely that King and Bishop have been scanned, and then Jack... and now Rook. He'd need to see about asking the Chief about if there was some way to install something similar to what he and Shadowmaru has that masks any detailed information about them. So far, that left Ten, Ace, and Pawn who have not yet been scanned. He wasn't sure if he and Shadowmaru have been successfully scanned, but he knows that if criminals tried to get scans on them, they would be much harder to do so thanks to their more highly advanced systems and circuitry. 'Considering the nature of the machine the three crimnials pilot, and the information where it was meant to possess one of the highest, most expensive technology in the entire country... I'll need to think more on this with Shadowmaru for later once our repairs are complete.' He thought.
"...But the reason is, why did those criminals attack the station?" Ten asked with a frown. "Or why was-"
"It's because of me."
Radiant Prism had just returned to the station, overhearing Ten's inquiry for the reason why they attacked the station. "I don't know if the Scotland Yard has had this sort of thing happen before, but those criminals are on a manhunt for me specifically. After having been forced to flee not long after I was repaired, I also had to flee my country altogether due to... Someone I refuse to mention. But how the three criminals I'm trying to deal with knew that I fled all the way here... I don't know."
"Wait, so you're saying that you flew nearly across the planet from Germany to here in Japan...?" Ten stared at Radiant Prism in disbelief. "That's... A long flight... But couldn't you have flown yourself to the United Kingdom instead?" The moment Ten said that, Rook snipped at Ten but the moment Radiant Prism looked away with a sense of sadness, Ten and Rook didn't need an answer as it was right there. A clear sign that she wasn't made aware of the Scotland Yard, and Ten felt a wave of sadness and guilt overwhelming him for having said that. "S-Sorry, I just-"
"I wasn't even made aware of Deckerd's team either. I wasn't aware of any other Brave Police teams outside of my country." Radiant Prism said, shaking her helm. "Unlike the other three teams stationed in other parts of Germany, I was mostly kept in the dark, save for Redlight making trips all the way to Dortmund when he's heard about me and... He'd update me on whatever but I wasn't made aware of neither of this team, nor your team. And the only time I would finally start learning about Deckerd and the others is through Redlight while I was fleeing for my life, when he- From my point of view, had to make the most difficult decision in order to stop... That horrible man who wanted to dispose of me for failing to defeat those criminals."
"So... Uh, sorry to pry but... How the bloody hell was that 'horrible man' you mention not arrested for potentially wanting to kill you!?" Rook exclaimed, anger slowly building up within him. "Wouldn't the country have some sort of law built into the system to prevent dismantling a Brave!?"
"How was I supposed to know that!?" Radiant Prism replied, immediately clutching her helm. "I-I've only known a small amount of things from Redlight, but I... I don't know why I barely know anything about my country, most of the laws, the systems... Nearly everything! The others know more things than I... A-And I feel like I was purposefully... Broken... Shattered by him... Torn apart before I was even activated! I wish I could just-"
"WHAT THE HELL!?"
The sudden outburst was enough to snap Radiant Prism out of her rant as she and a few of the other Braves still undergoing repairs followed the sudden shout to one of the small, human sized table. There was Jack in a toy-sized body. "Who's great idea was to make me this small!?"
Immediately at the sight, Rook tried to hold it back but inevitably burst into a laughing fit. Hearing the laugh, the tri-coloured Brave snapped at Rook. "Paul you better shut your mouth! Just wait until I get fixed and I'll smear your arse clean across the streets of Nanamagari City!"
"That's enough, Jack!" Toudou turned his attention to Jack. "You won't be put back into your original body for quite some time. Not with all of this damage." Taking one brief glance at the damage, he shook his head. "If I'm right, this is going to take weeks to repair."
"Weeks!?" Jack gaped in disbelief. "B-But Chief, you're one of the greatest techs in the world! You're able to fix things far faster than even Regina's mechanics!"
"You know, Jack. I think this is going to be a fun opportunity to try and put something together just your size." Rook said with a snicker.
"What do you mea-" It only took a brief moment for Jack to realise what Rook exactly meant, and his snickering faceplates easily meant that he's eager to set up whatever he's got in store for his pranking antics. "Unfortunately for you, Paul, I'm far too small for your stupid pranks!" Jack said, a triumphant smirk plastered across his face. "And your bloody servos are far too big to try building a human sized prank!" Rook seemed to be taken by surprise for a few seconds until his expression became more devious. "Jack, are my audios malfunctioning or are you implying that I take that as a challenge?"
"Uh oh..." Ten muttered to himself quietly with a frown. Once someone goaded Rook with a challenge, he wouldn't stop until he'd successfully prank his designated target.
As the two continued throwing bets at one another, eventually Rook couldn't help but grin audio to audio. Jack was seriously asking for it and now he was in the mood to create several masterpieces of pranking material out of what he could get his servos on. While he did agree with Jack that he was much smaller than the previous times he's pranked him when he was in his original sized body, he was itching to have a go at building something that would stun him no end. "Challenge accepted, Jack. I'll build a masterpiece that would take you by complete surprise before you can react in time to avoid it!"
"I'm going to enjoy wiping that smug off your face once your prank backfires or hits someone else. Just you wait because I'll see it coming long before you even set it up."
As time passed, the Build Team and a few other members had eventually been fully repaired, and were in the middle of cleaning up the mess so that cars could freely drive through the areas, but had to close roads that were closest to the ruined buildings for safety precautions. Unfortunately the area had been closed off temporarily to pedestrians, not wanting to risk debris coming loose and fall right on top of someone. McCrane was in charge of directing people to take a different yet much more safer route to where they needed to go while his Brothers cleaned up the mess. He had a feeling that cleaning up and rebuilding the destroyed buildings were going to take a lot of time considering how much damage had been caused, even with the help of the human construction workers.
In some ways, he was a little disappointed. 'I'll have to cancel my date with Seia until all of this can be cleaned up and fixed...' He thought unhappily. This would continue well into the night when all the mess around the station had been cleaned up and the destroyed buildings were reinforced to prevent any loose debris from falling on people. Currently, McCrane and the others were in the middle of a nice, long break and were currently refueling.
"You're still refueling like that, McCrane?" Their attention had shifted over to Gunmax who had just gotten back. "C'mon, you should drink fuel just like how everyone else is doing it. It makes you be more... Human."
"Not this again, Gunmax..." Dumpson frowned, he didn't feel like dealing with the Motorcycle Detective and his attitude. "Everyone has their own way of drinking fuel and you already know why McCrane doesn't do the same like most of us do. Even I sometimes refuel through my own intakes rather than like a human."
"Don't forget how bad this stuff reeks to humans." Power Joe frowned. "I'd rather do the exact same thing as McCrane if I had a partner of my own. Drinking fuel like humans is sort of like the robot equivalent of having bad breath after we're done, and nobody likes that."
"At least that won't happen for a long time..." Drill Boy muttered quietly, shooting a discreet glare at his Brother.
Antennas flicking, Power Joe's mood suddenly dropped then shot a glare in Drill Boy's direction. "What did you say...?"
"N-Nothing! I was just saying that the criminals' attacks won't happen for a long time!" Drill Boy hastily said. "Jack and Rook did a ton of damage and then uh... Um... We kicked that gooey bio-machine so hard that he retreated after he lost most of his body and reduced to... Uh, I think he'd be roughly around human sized...? Yeah, I think he's reduced to human size roughly if he shaped himself into a human being for example!"
"Drill Boy-"
"That's enough." McCrane said sternly. Gunmax had been watching the whole thing, but since there didn't seem to be much going on with the Build Team, he internally shrugged. "If you need me for whatever, I'll be upstairs." He told them, grabbing a canister for himself. "Don't be afraid to give me a shout because my audios will be wide open, baby!"
Dumpson felt like he was going to feel sick, while he didn't know what that one word was in particular, somehow it clicked in his thoughts that it probably didn't mean anything good. Technically he could get a copy of the English files from one of the three Scotland Yard members himself, but felt no reason to unless he was needed in the United Kingdom for whatever reason which has so far never happened. He had no issues with the Motorcycle Detective, other than the first few times after he was first introduced to the entire Brave Police three years ago. His attention was soon drawn towards McCrane, whom had been staring at his canister for quite some time. Since cleaning up, he seemed to look so sad since they finished what they could for the night.
"It's not like you to look so glum, McCrane." Dumpson addressed his elder Brother. "What's on your mind?"
As if knowing what the topic was shifting towards, Drill Boy sets his canister down and got up. "I'm going outside to play some soccer, I'll be back later!" With haste, Drill boy sprinted out of the garage and leapt into the skies, changing form as he gunned his thrusters and was off. Neither Power Joe nor Dumpson were surprised but their attention were focused back on McCrane. "Okay McCrane, spit it out. What's getting you so down in the dumps?" Power Joe began. "It's not like our big Brother to look this down."
"It's nothing important." McCrane dismissed. Despite saying that, he could see both of his younger Brothers weren't satisfied with his answer. Both of them giving him a knowing look that they really know what's up and what exactly is bothering him. "Power Joe, Dumpson..."
"Can't hide it from us, we know that glum look has to do with being unable to see Seia." Power Joe smirked. "Sure, it's not important for the two of us, but it's important for you specifically. And it's dead obvious that you were hoping to spend a day or two as usual per month with her as much as you can, with the exception that you're seeing her more when she's lucky to be off duty for a while." Next, it was Dumpson's turn to continue. "So what's stopping you from going on some big date you two most likely have planned?"
"It's Makoto's birthday tomorrow. I wasn't aware of his birthday and I know Seia would want to spend as much time with him as possible, so I've decided to reschedule our date-"
"Whoa whoa there McCrane, you shouldn't have done that. You've just missed an opportunity right there!" McCrane shot Power Joe a bemused expression as he continued. "Rather than letting them drive those jeeps of theirs, you could've been the one to offer them a ride. Think about it, there's not much protection other than those really tiny windshields to keep the wind from blowing into their faces since they're having wind blown all around them when they're on the move. But almost all of us- Gunmax excluded can keep the wind out completely."
As Power Joe continued to suggest things, with Dumpson listening, the whole thing left McCrane feeling more and more uncertain about Power Joe's multitude of suggestions, he still felt that he had no right to trespass on Seia's time being spent with her little Brother for his birthday as he wasn't considered family at all. He was about to tell his Brothers off for prying in too much when Deckerd made his appearance known. "Deckerd, is there something we can help you with?"
"Yes actually. If any of you could spare a moment of free time, would you help Yuuta get back home safely? I need to head to the airport to keep my optics alert for when Regina's plane arrives." Deckerd explained. "She's due to land very soon."
"For one, we can't drive through the residential district of the city since the roads are too narrow for our vehicle modes." Dumpson pointed out as he got up. "But sure Deckerd, I can take Boss back to his place safe and sound. I needed an excuse to stretch out my leg joints." Next, Power Joe spoke up. "I think I'll turn in early. Tomorrow's going to be a long day I'd like to have enough energy to prepare myself to clear out other places affected by the attacks from earlier."
"Have Boss meet us down at the repair bay, tell him I'll be waiting for him."
With a nod, Deckerd began making his way back upstairs to the office. He knew fully well that the young boy was stressed and worn out from the events at work today, and spending time with his sisters to help cheer him up from a scary situation always seemed to help just like the past times Yuuta had gotten himself into other previous scary situations from previous times. Now that he thought about it upon seeing him spacing out, it should be time for him to come back anyways so he could eat dinner with them.
