"Just remember to believe in yourself, and all that you are, so that you may never fail at what you desire out of life. Life is the most important thing, even to us as heroes, those of us who are exceptionally gifted, who have the abilities to save others..."
'Honestly.' Bakugo was bored.
These speeches that All Might gave were just annoying. The blonde sat in his chair thinking that Deku was probably shitting himself over it right now. How he worshipped that dirtbag hero drove him nuts. Midoriya was a crybaby and that grossed him out. Like a girl. He cried over everything, when he was happy, when he was sad, when he was overjoyed, when he was passionate.
It was just something that Bakugo couldn't understand. He'd never cried over anything! Complex emotion wasn't his thing. He was more of a punch before you think type, and he knew it, he liked that about himself, and with his strong quirk, that was all he ever needed: Power.
He'd stomp anything down in his path to rise to #1 and he would not let anyone beat him or talk over him. His rightful place was at the top, and he'd do anything he had to do to get there; he would excel and he would win.
He was Bakugo!
Not hoping the world would fear him, but knowing the world should know him by his name, as they cowered in his overwhelming fire.
"You don't need to change yourself, but you do need to come home to yourself."
'What crap!'
All Might's drones, the pick-up's in his voice to make some of the words a little more impactful, was something the whole class was used to, but these long mic'ed motivational public speeches the school made him do for the start of year commencements, made him sound like he was one man army yelling in an auditorium.
More than half the students had brought earplugs, pre-prepping for what they knew would probably blow their drums out.
Bakugo lazily slid down in the metal folding chair, baggy black uniform pants billowing around his ankles and his black tennis shoes. He liked coming home to himself, in his opinion, he was the perfect example of the best thing the world needed for a new #1 hero.
He was a mix of both firepower and brawn, skill, might and terror.
He'd blow to bits all around him, he didn't care about destroying buildings or property.
But all he cared about at the moment, was just drowning out All Might's incredibly overbearing shouts, but it was almost over. His final remark brought about a whole separate frown to Bakugo's face as cheering flooded through the whole staircase-like room: "Be the person you want to be!"
Mr. Aiwaza came out then, dressed in his normal trench coat and scarf, looking tired as always with his own separate mic, the size of an action figure from where most of Hero Class was sitting.
"Ohayo." His voice was flat, un-enthused, his eyes black and dark like he hadn't slept in days. "Starting today, junior students can move into the UA dorm. Girls room with girls, boys with boys, but together in the same buildings. Hero Class and B in one. C and D in another. Etc."
Everyone whispered. A full room of hushed, talking students equaled a lot of sound though, and Bakugo was still darkened under the eye in fury from it.
"Roommate assignment will be sent in your student email today. Be moved in by Friday." He gave the mic to Midnight and walked off stage, like he had no care in the world, the usual.
"OH!" The hulking hero boomed again, pointing a huge finger out into the crowd finishing up what Aiwaza was supposed to say. "No candles or candle warmers! No pets! No portable heaters! No irons! YES! THE ONE'S FOR MAKING YOUR CLOTHING LOOK NEAT!" He made a bicep curl motion to suggest that he didn't mean 'pumping iron'.
Nobody laughed at the dry, but outrageous joke.
Some jotted notes.
"No nails or screws in the walls! No toasters! Electric griddles! Microwaves are OKAY! No alcohol! And no water beds!"
Midnight cut in, fluffing her hair on the stage. "And lights out at 10 PM guys... or I'll put you to sleep!"
Nobody laughed again, as Midnight had made a pun on her quirk. She seemed kind of cheesed-off, much more than All Might was about people not thinking he was entertaining. She muttered into the mic "tough crowd", it was obvious she had no idea that it was heard.
"The dorm's side doors will lock at 10 PM. So remember! You can only get in and out front entrance with your ID Badge." All Might added with another brawny pose.
"Yeh! So no badge, you're sleeping on the street!" Midnight cooed, trying to be funny again.
Girls gasped, some boys mouths dropped a bit.
Bakugo stared out from under his blonde mop top at the two on stage. 'Roomate. Fucking great.' Distinct heavy hatred swarmed in his aura.
It was the last thing he wanted to hear.
He didn't want that! He'd had a solo room at his house, at his grandma's, for his whole life... and sharing was not an option. He didn't like people in HIS space. He didn't like being personable to another. He didn't like having to be bothered wondering about another sorry asshole getting locked out on accident.
No way in hell would he babysit!
No way would he SHARE.
"So who'd you get Midoriya?" Iida asked over some hot tea at a coffee shop, he was just pulling his laptop open to log onto the UA student portal to check his email. Iida was nervous, Midoriya could tell as he put his cup down on the table. Uraraka was still in line contemplating what type of coffee and marusei butter biscuit to get, this particular coffee shop had 16 different flavors of them.
"I got Kirishima."
"Not bad." Iida responded, thinking to himself that it wouldn't be awful to room with the 'Crimson Riot' as the red head called himself. The guy was a very dumbed down version of Bakugo, loud like him, but not as outrageous and angry, and actually one heck of an athlete. He did really well on all the preliminary fitness tests beginning of sophomore year. "If anything he might make you a bit more tough, not that you need it." Iida added.
Midoriya smiled over the top of his laptop at the taller junior. It was beginning of 11th grade, and he admitted it was strange that a high school would make it's students stay in a dormitory like a college, but Midoriya also was pleased with Kirishima. He knew him to be a tad messy, and super laid back, but Kirishima was one of the students in the Hero Class with him that he didn't have much information on for his hero studies.
He would take full advantage of the experience to learn what he could from the guy, even though Midoriya knew exactly what Iida was thinking, he was also more of a punch, balls to the wall type, like Bakugo.
"What are you two babbling about?" Uraraka mumbled, smiley and teasing, but also trying to balance her food, a backpack, and a laptop case on a strap over her shoulder. Midoriya stood and took her coffee for her and sat it down, and she brushed out a quick thank you, sliding down into the bench by Iida.
"Our new roomates." The white light on the screen illuminated Iida's square-jaw, his computer coming on.
"I've got a girl from 1-B." She adjusted her stuff in the bench aside her, laying some napkins to place her marusei down on. "We've been emailing back and forth since earlier today. She seems nice, but a bit overly concerned, kind of like a parent."
"How you feel about that?" Midoriya asked.
"Mm." Uraraka touched her lip in thought picking up her bun dessert and breaking it in half to reveal it's caramel center. "It's Ibara Shiozaki."
"Oh!" Iida instantly got alert, and so did Midoriya at his random response. "The vines girl! She competed in the tournament!"
"Yeh." Midoriya began mumbling about how she was really good at what she could do, and how she was actually really strong, how she could use her vines. It went on for a few minutes. The others, used to this about him, just waited until he was done, and snapping out of it, he took a sip of coffee, closing his laptop down. "She's kind of the mom of 1-B. Remember the lunch room?"
Iida was logging in.
"Oh! You're right Deku." She sipped.
He smiled at the use of his now 'hero name'. It was hard not too, she said it so sweetly... compared to someone else that he knew.
Shiozaki had grabbed Neito Monoma (another 1-B'er) who'd been bothering them, and dragged him away to leave them to eat their lunches in peace. He'd gotten out-right upset about the tournament and came over to get his two cents in, and Shiozaki bustled him off as quickly as he had stopped by.
"Eh." Iida popped out a random sound, pushing up on his glasses, reflection of a email screen in the glare. "I got Kaminari."
"Ugh." Uraraka bit into a her sugary treat.
"Really?" Midoriya's eyes opened wide. "That's two of us with fellow classmates." Then a realization crossed his face. "Wait, do you guys not like him?"
"He's kinda..." She mumbled through chews.
"Overbearing." The taller spit out.
"I was gunna say 'obscene'." Caramel was stuck to the side of her lip, she whipped up a napkin to it.
"Sometimes I wonder if he's more interested in dating than class. Mineta and him, and a few others, you know..."
Oh, they all knew very well. They were all very 'into' the ladies. Between Mineta's consistent lewd, colorful jokes being the ringleader, and a few in class, Kaminari included, they were dubbed the 'Harassment Squad'. A joking name the three called the group whenever Mineta was out barking about boobs and spandex and the other guys were rolling in laughter, agreeing, whatever. Didn't matter.
"Maybe it won't be that bad Iida, don't judge a book by it's cover."
"You're right Midoriya." He crossed his arms, staring at the waiting line that had gotten longer, thinking that they did come at the right time, before the after-work traffic hit. "His quirk is really unique. Maybe I'll learn something from him, but it's more of the day to day living that I worry about. The only email he's sent is one titled 'WE'RE ROOMIES NOW BRO'. It's in all caps." Iida looked flustered. "And it has no body copy."
"So it's just an email with a title?" Midoriya looked so confused.
"Yeh."
"Who does that!?" Uraraka commented with a crunched up nose.
"Apparently he does." Iida pushed up on his glasses with a sweat drop.
"Hm. Well, just feel it out Iida, I'm sure it'll be okay." Her kind nature seemed to calm him down a bit, but Ingenium was also trying to un-strain his nerves. He'd a bad habit of getting to high up on his horse over things, a little too worked up, hence going after villain that handicapped his brother last year without telling anyone. It was something he was constantly working on with himself.
"Who do you think the others got?" Deku sipped his coffee, squinting from the light outside refracting over the horizon, it was that time of day where the sun begins to set and everything gets super bright.
"I know Ashido got a girl from 1-B too, I can't remember her name though." Uraraka commented. She chuckled under her breath as if to make a point. "Who do you think the sorry person is that got Bakugo?"
Deku instantly meep'ed, face swirling in anxiety. His childhood friend, that was no longer his friend. Thinking about it, yes, it would be absolutely terrible to be Bakugo's roommate! He felt an instant rush to try to figure out who it was! They'd have to be informed!
"Well, whoever it is..." She took a piece off the bun and dunked it in the coffee. "They'll be moving out in 2 weeks."
"Is that a bet?" Iida jested plainly.
"No!" Uraraka stammered, taking on a mystical type of tone. "It's me for-telling the future!"
Ashido was walking down the hall of the 2nd floor with boxes. "Uraraka! Where are you?" She called out.
"Oh sorry!" The boxes instantly lifted, and out from underneath of them she was there peering up at her pink friend. She was helping her move in using her floating quirk. "Do you really need all this stuff?"
"ONE CAN NEVER BE TOO PREPARED!" She yelled loudly, shooting up a pointer finger, looking a bit like All Might on that one.
"SHH! Okay! Just... don't tell anyone I'm using my quirk to help you!"
"I won't!" Ashido poked her in the side to elicit a laugh out of her buddy. They walked together down the hall chit-chatting all the way to Ashido's room. 10 boxes floated over their heads. Using a quirk outside in the 'real-world' without asking permission from a mentor at the moment (aka Aiwaza or one of the other teachers), it was forbidden.
"Hey guys!" Midoriya came running up with a teal laundry basket on his right shoulder full of clean, folded clothes. "What's your room numbers?" He popped his eyes in realization of Uraraka floating stuff, but didn't say anything. Nobody was around, and it wasn't causing any harm.
Sometimes, they used their quirks anyway for practical uses, and Midoriya was part of that 'in-the-know hush-hush' group.
The overly excited demon-girl lunged at him, embracing his fit frame in a super-girly, full hug, her arms fully wrapped around his waist sending a blush to his cheeks. Between his deep green hair and the reddish face, it made him look like Christmas. He almost dropped his whole basket of clothes!
Uraraka just laughed loudly at the awkwardness as Ashido let go of her bear hug. "I'm in 259! Uraraka and Shiozaki are on the 3rd floor in 363!" This girl was way too zealous! Living around some over her favorite people was just a bit too much! "See look! Our names are on the door!"
Sure enough, the ladies rooms also had nameplates like the boys'.
"Do you know where anyone else is?"
"Nope. Haven't went exploring yet." Uraraka chimed in a bright fashion, the boxes dropped in front of Ashido's front door. Midoriya set his laundry basket down to help the girls carry in boxes.
"Where's you're roommate?"
"Ah... she's not moving in until Friday. Have a soda guys!" She opened a mini fridge.
"Hey that's a good idea!" Deku sat down on the floor with a huge toothy grin as there was no place really to sit with all the boxes. "Want to go walking around? I'll show you guys my room, and we can see if we can find the other Hero Class people." He popped the tab, grape soda.
"Yeh let's find everyone!" Uraraka was too excited, it would be few and far in between. All of the B Classes and the Hero Class were in the dorms, the B's out populated the Hero'ers 1 to 5 on ratio.
"Maybe we'll meet some new people!" Ashido took a huge sip of soda. Her's was strawberry.
It didn't matter to them if they were over-ridden with lower ranker's, they were welcoming as ever!
It was 5 o'clock.
By this time they were nearly pooped out and done meandering the halls, visiting each person in Hero Class that had already moved in. Honestly, they hadn't made it through the whole building because they'd got held up with Iida who invited them into his room to play a board game.
They learned not everyone from Hero Class was moved in yet, some really were waiting until Friday, as some's homes were far away in other cities and had to take trains.
Suddenly, Midoriya froze, he seen a door wide open on the end of the 4th floor, (the uppermost one), held with a cement block of all things as a doorstop.
Stuff was piled in the hall. Dude's stuff: A camo colored duffel bag that wasn't packed too great; various notebooks for school in piles; a comforter set, brand new, still inside it's plastic zip bag and various clothes mostly dark colored, and a few that were solids; bunches of high-tops sneakers were piled in a large plastic trash bag; socks with other various clothing items in another, and a shower bag was on the ground too.
It was kind of messy.
Uraraka noticed, and after reading the name tag out loud she got immediately why Deku froze in his tracks. She whispered. "Bakugo Katsuki. Satoko Kasaya."
"It's not Bakugo." He mumbled out.
"How do you know?" Ashido whispered. "Why are we whispering?" She was missing the context of what was going on.
Uraraka coined in. "It's the roommate." She knew Midoriya knew. Deku grew up with Katsuki. He knew what he normally wore, things he probably owned, even though they weren't on great speaking terms.
Plus, Bakugo wouldn't allow this much of a mess.
But, Midoriya noted, it did look like it was mid-process of being cleaned up.
"I wonder who it is?" The pink girl got it now, standing on her tip toes as if that'd help her stare down the hall. Bakugo would kill this person if he even so much as looked at him wrong, she had to find out who it was!
There was no movement, and they slipped on down the hall like slugs towards the open door. As they got close to the entryway, a sudden boom of music came on, scaring and jerking the three's hearts into their stomachs. A loud 'SHIT!' came out of the room in response as the music rapidly turned down.
Midoriya, Uraraka and Ashido all stared at each other.
So, someone was in there after all.
It was music they'd never heard before; the dirtiest, grimiest, gangster rap. It's beat was so deep it rattled the pane on the window inside the room, they could hear it buzzing.
Ashido pulled out of it first and walked to the threshold, knocking on the metal pane of the open door with a light tap. "Hi there!" She spoke loud. Her face changed with a flirtacious-ness, as she blurted her next statement, a blink: "Are you new?"
The brown haired girl followed, Ashido had given her the confidence, the music had startled her, but it was just a person. She rounded the entryway shortly after her, on her heels, and in light that it was a new person, she wanted to see what he looked like.
"Hah?" A young man turned from messing with a stereo system that was erected on the right desk. He turned the knob and the music lowered more.
Midoriya watched both faces get red. He knew what that meant. He peeked in too with a wave. Sure enough. The guy had his shirt off.
"Uh... Hi!" Uraraka squeaked out through her embarrassment. "We're in Hero Class! Just meeting everyone in the building."
"Hh." The guy kind awkwardly waved. "It's cool. Kasaya Satoko." He pointed at himself.
"I'm Midoriya."
Satoko extended his hand out and Midoriya walked in to meet it.
He held his hand out also for the women for introductions, which was odd. Most men didn't shake hands with girls, they more so just talked them up, or bowed. It was a formal Western gesture for what he was wearing, which was nothing on top and a pair of low-riding black kluncky sweats, black socks. He was kind of rough looking.
"What class are you in?" Ashido chimed being forward, entering the room as he'd invited them in through gesture.
"1-B. I was in 4-B, before that a C class."
"Really?" Deku was honestly surprised. "You can do that?"
"Yea, in the alphabetic classes, you can move up or down depending on how you test per semester. It's hard to get into the 1 class I hear." Uraraka added.
Kasaya nodded in agreement, he grabbed a gray shirt off his bed and put it on.
The girls seemed to 'deflate' just a bit. Their 'sight' was gone.
"This floor, it's hot." His posture suggested that he was a bit sorry.
That made Midoriya realize he was at least a decent person. He caught on that he was looking indisposed and fixed it.
Midoriya bit the bullet and just blurted which caused the girls to turn to him. "So... Bakugo."
"Hah yeh." New guy scratched the back of his neck in a knowing manner. "Lovely guy."
Ashido snickered.
Sarcasm, there was sarcasm in his tone. Deku went ahead red-faced. "Yea. He's something else. Be careful."
"Figured." Kasaya's shaggy dark blue, almost black locks got swept away from his face, sarcasm prevailed again. "We emailed a few times. He was really clear about spacial division..." The guy opened a box, inside was a bunch of medals he began pulling out. "I'm fine with it."
Uraraka was really struck that Kasaya even considered and/or had the gumption enough to email the guy that wanted his professional hero name to be Killer Death Machine. No, Death Fire Explosion. There was no end to his name, it largely remained undecided.
But, even if the new 1-B'er was willing to 'work with' Bakugo on Bakugo's terms, Midoriya still thought he'd be moving out in 2 weeks like Uraraka claimed. He hadn't even met Bakugo yet, he'd only just got a taste of his horrible demeanor over email! Deku could just 'imagine' what the emails included, probably lots of spouting off, straight forward remarks in regards to 'this is mine' 'this is yours', and probably lots of cussing.
Typical Bakugo.
He kind of felt sorry for the guy. He had it coming to him. Hard. And he didn't even know.
"I ordered a pizza." The new guy suggested. "The roommate won't be here 'til Friday, so we can hang out." He pointed at the empty left side of the room. "But after Thursday..." He made a 'slit throat' motion. "No can do."
All three visitors, raised their eyebrows. Yep. Bakugo's influence already.
"No to hanging or...?"
"No to people in the room." He followed the shorter girl up.
"Really?" Ashido commented, finally sitting on the floor.
"Do you need help with bringing things in?" Uraraka quickly touched a box and it floated. Boy, she was hoping he'd say yes.
Suddenly the guy's eyes got brighter in revelation that that was her quirk. "Woah." His jaw went ajar ignoring Ashido's question.
She silently grr'ed on the inside. How useful Uraraka can be! It was a bit unfair.
Uraraka was delighted and her whole face lit up as she floated every single item in the hall and brought it in the room, cleaning up his entire hallway mess for him.
Midoriya observed Satoko observing Uraraka's power.
Uncannily, it looked like he'd never seen it before. His friend was up against Bakugo (his to-be roommate) in one of the tournament levels. She lost, but surely the whole school was watching? If he was in C or B at the time, he might not of though. Midoriya didn't remember seeing him competing in C or B in the tournament either.
Maybe like some of the others in the alphabetic classes, he didn't make it to the tournament, due to grades, or physical inability. But the latter couldn't be the case, as Kasaya was comparatively as fit as Bakugo. He literally had no ounce of fat on him at all, a full rack of abdominals, and a deep v-line which suggested that he did a lot of core exercises.
It was enough to haze over the girls.
If he had a strong core that meant that he was fairly fast, a good jumper, and his biceps looked very lean like he did practice some form of physical training, maybe martial arts. It must of been the grades then Midoriya assumed.
Usually his assumptions were right.
"So what's your quirk?" Midoriya broke up his stare on the last of the bags that just landed on the ground.
"I don't have one."
"Hn?" Midoriya's mind shot to an 'uh oh'. This guy is going to get his lights knocked out. Bakugo's consistent bullying of him as they reached adolescence and their friendship 'falling out' sent a distinct swarm of empathy to span across his eyes. He was quirkless? Like how he was? How he had been? That was what started Bakugo's bullying in the first place, what if Satoko became a replacement 'Deku' to kick around, talk down to, and tell and speak of their worthlessness?
His ex-friend got a kick out of being in control of other people. It was not fun for him. It hadn't been since he was about 5, as much as he lied to himself, saying that Bakugo would always be his friend, the years went on, and the bullying just got worse.
"I do have one, it's just so minor... it doesn't matter." He'd changed his response. "I'm just trying to do the best I can. Y'know?"
Uraraka noticed the mood and tried to cheer it up. Somehow, whatever it was, maybe it wasn't very powerful, maybe it wasn't useful? No matter, it was causing some negativity to immerse that needed to be simmered. It was their first meeting, and she was quite taken at first glance by the guy, and she didn't want his first impression of them to be as prying. "Oh! Don't worry about it!"
Ashido said the same to encourage him. "You made it to B and into the dorms with us! Congratulations! That's awesome!" Trying to make her tone sound as uplifting as her competition's.
"Thanks guys." Satoko had a very humble expression on his face. He, in fact was a very laid back person the other's gathered, and quite unlike Bakugo, who was uptight, on-edge, and underneath the surface, boiling most of the time. "You're the first in the building I've seen. I got here kind of late today. My brother and I had to go out shopping for some stuff."
The girls stared at each other, and in their own 'girly way' knew what each other was thinking: 'So there's two of them. Is his brother as hot as he is? Maybe we can get to know both!'
Ashido piped. "Is your brother in the building too?"
Uraraka smiled. Exactly what she wanted to know. 'Thanks... you pink, overly-friendly demon.'
"Nah. He's not in the same high school." He was still pulling medals out. Lots of them.
The girls were knocked off cloud-nine again. Midoriya took a different route. "That's a lot of gold."
That made the new guy smile again earnestly. He threw one at his green-headed peer, and to Satoko's surprise, he caught it eezy-peezy with his left hand, like it wasn't a hard feat at all. Most can't catch with their left hand, that meant he had either good reflexes, was left-handed, or had good hand-eye coordination, or maybe all three. That would of worked well for what the medals were for. "Baseball."
"So, you a sports buff?" Pinky again.
"Used to be." Something darker took over his tone again, somehow Uraraka picked up on it naturally, but didn't have a chance to tell him anything as he continued in a short response. "Until I got injured. I used t'play 1st base."
Midoriya did notice that the medal he'd tossed him was from elementary. Only a few of them were from middle school. So, the injury must of taken place in during that time. He gave it back, and with a nod it was taken and put onto the bed with the others. There were probably 20 different ones, most of them all-star medals with multiple bands of colors in the ropes. He wasn't sure if they were going get hung up or not, but one thing he was certain on was that seeing these would probably piss Bakugo off as he knew the only medal Bakugo ever won was at the tournament last year, and only because Todoroki forfeited.
It wasn't a medal won in honor or in hard work, as Kasaya's were.
He knew Bakugo would look at them as competition, probably view them as a flat out mockery to what happened at the tournament.
A huff sound came out of Deku's mouth.
Bakugo was so selfish that he couldn't even get over himself to look at another's accomplishments and respect them! Honestly, Deku feared the medals wouldn't survive 'a few weeks' as Uraraka tagged. They'd probably be burned to a crisp, as well as Kasaya on the run to the Student Adviser in the hall looking for a new room assignment, who was none other than Iida.
Both Class President, handed over by himself (as he knew Iida would do a better job), and now also SA of the UA Hero Class & B dorm, it was given as default, he was the only one who wanted the position.
Deku thought it was a bit funny, that Iida had gotten both positions, but not by rightful election.
Honestly, he was well-suited for both. Iida was trying to gain control over his most recent negative mental state, where he'd not relied on other people to help him track down the person who'd handicapped his brother, and Deku knew that was why he wanted to be the Student Adviser for the dorm. Not only did it make him have more responsibility, but also, whenever a student had an issue dealing with roommates, situations, personal problems, anything at all, Iida was there to direct them down the proper route to seek out or solve whatever they'd need.
Iida was using the position to make people 'depend' on him. By feeling more like people depending and relied on him, Iida described over their board game, that he felt it would keep him more latched-onto his vices, and mold him into the person that Ingenium's legacy was supposed to uphold: A courageous fighter, but not one who was unwise. One who was smart and tactful, who had no pride so that he could depend and rely on others to support him, and to support each other in the struggle of working for a hero agency.
Unlike Bakugo who just went out on his own destroying shit.
"Hey. Pizza's here." Knock at the door, the delivery man's voice, from an on-campus pizza shop, since no outside deliverers were allowed on the UA campus, unless specifically dictated by the dean.
So much security, it served them all well though.
The navy haired Kasaya answered.
The girl's mumbled that they'd have to take the delivery services up for a try too, up until 10 at night that was.
Bakugo was the opposite of all of them, even this guy. As he turned and shut the door with a hungry expression written on his face, Deku just knew he'd be smothered in ash and on the run.
After pizza, he'd leave the girls and march him back down to Iida's room. Then after the newbie left, he'd have a discussion with the SA about what he discovered to be Bakugo's roommate: A kind, gentle person, who had just a few things to him that would make Bakugo literally 'spit fire'.
He'd tell Iida to keep watch over this guy, so that if things got out of hand, that he had a place to go.
Midoriya could trust Iida, he'd trust Iida with his life...
Not Bakugo.
He'd silently have the new guy's back, even if he didn't know it just yet.
