Bruno and Ramona Madrigal

(Any rooms that are mentioned are based on the Encanto screenplay where the rooms are now different because of the new kind of magic coursing through Casita)

After the end of Encanto and Bruno was welcomed home, it took some time for him to adjust to being back with so many people. He'd often retreat when needed, but his family was patient and gave him the love and support he needed. This included going into the village again, which started with short trips and lengthened overtime where he was welcomed back into their community.

With Casita giving everyone a new version of their room, Bruno's was much less isolating and more simple, which is what he desired the most. While he still had a cave for him to see visions of the future, it wasn't as exhausting to climb to get there. (Mirabel was very thankful for that). There are also places within his room where his rat friends could live comfortably.

Despite being home, to avoid too much stress, tension or negative emotions within himself, Bruno limited his use of his gift by personal choice. He would occasionally look into the future for someone who asked or just to make sure there was nothing of concern.

One day, while wandering through the village, Bruno was approached by a group of local children asking for their futures to be read. Despite saying no, they persisted and pursued him, leading to him accidentally stumbling into the library at the centre of the community. He attempted to hide and he was discovered by the local librarian/bookkeeper, Ramona Sánchez. She humoured his escape and sent the children off with books to take home to their families. Once alone, Ramona introduced herself.

Ramona was an unmarried woman in her late 40s who spent more time with her tomes than humans. She was fascinated with the history of their community and Columbia in general. Her parents were amongst those to escaped with Alma and Pedro all the years back and her family is grateful for the blessings the Madrigals and the magic have bestowed on their community. She was seen as the keeper of knowledge within their Encanto. She loves all animals She spent hours chatting about history and Bruno simply listened. He returned the next day, and the next, learning and growing closer to Ramona.

After a year, Bruno asked her to spend the rest of their lives together. He never once looked into his own future or hers because he wanted things to play out the way they wanted them to.

With Abeula's approval, Bruno and Ramona married in a simple ceremony within the community with just their families in attendance. The day was relatively sunny, but with a little rain (possibly a bit of revenge on Pepa's part for when his words made it rain on her wedding day). The family was overjoyed to welcome Tia Ramona to their family.

Casita expanded itself to provide a library where Ramona could store all her documents and books as the current library was much too small. The house enjoyed helping her sort books and knocking down volumes from the shelves when she needed them. The rats also offered their assistance by carrying papers around and bringing the librarian her supplies. Ramona adored the rat friends and would bring them food as payment for their help. Bruno's room also expanded to allow his wife to have several bookshelves and a comfortable reading space.

She is now there to support her husband whenever he needs her and he devotes his life to making her happy. The past and the future, coming together to live in the present.
