Authors Note: A little shorter than usual but since i managed to find time to write it i thought i'd put it up straight away since i missed one last week :-).

Bleach 545: Reunions

Scene opens where it left off with Masaki and Ichigo.

Orihime: Kurasaki kun!

She runs forwards a few steps towards him before stopping and looking at him and Masaki with a confused expression.

Masaki herself has a little questioning look on her face which slowly turns into an evil little smile as she tilts her head observing Orihime. She strokes Ichigo's face

Masaki: My darling Ichigo, why don't you introduce me to your…little friend?

Orihime: ?!

Orihime blushes as she looks down at her hands. Ichigo brushes away Masaki's hand.

Ichigo: Mum this is Inoue Orihime…err, she's, umm, a friend of mine. Orihime, this is my mum.

A small redness appears on Ichigo's cheeks as he shuffles his feet uncomfortably not looking at either Masaki or Orihime. Orihime also seems on shock hearing it's Ichigos mum and starts fidgeting with her hands and shuffling uncomfortably, the blush in her cheeks getting deeper.
This doesn't go unnoticed by Masaki as she grins at both of their uncomfortableness.

Masaki: Ohh, it's my dear Ichigo's little friend! Though I suppose I shouldn't be calling you little should I, you seem all grown up after all…Ori-hi-me!

Masaki says this whilst observing Orihime up and down with exaggerated movements, finally resting her eyes…somewhere in the middle. Orihime's blush goes even redder as she crosses her arms across her chest looking down at her feet.

Ichigo: Mom! We don't have time for this!

Masaki: Hah, you expect me to give up such an opportunity?! (Sighs) But I suppose we can't tarry. Kisuke, why have you brought them here?

Urahara: Everyone else has either been evacuated or are evacuating. I brought along the ones that can't evacuate with the rest. I'll let the captain commander escort them to safety.

Suddenly Masaki appears right beside Orihime.

Masaki: Good, but this one comes with me! Both of you follow me too.

She grabs Orihime by the waist and disappears. Urahara chuckles whilst glancing at Ichigo before disappearing himself.

Ichigo: ?!

Scene change to the 3 quincy with Zaraki and Wairudo

The 3 Quincies look in shock up at Soukyoku hill.

Mashida: Jugo…

Kensei: He was fighting against their main force, however I didn't expect him to die so quickly. These Shinigami have had more aces up their sleeve then we ever expected.

Mandarb: It's of no consequence, we succeeded in our main objective. That's all that really mattered anyway.

Kensei: Seem's we'll have to take up the extra weight, it's time to change the game plan.

Mashida: Should we call in the reinforcements?

Mandarb: No. They'll not be of too much use to us under the effect of this Bankai. Leave them to support the others if needed.

Kensei: Even if Jugo's opponents are still able to fight, they most likely won't come here but go support the others anyway.

Mashida: Fine, let us up the tempo a bit then.

As soon as Mashida finishes speaking all three Quincies start powering up absorbing a massive amount of reishi.

Scene change to Zaraki and Wairudo

Zaraki and Wairudo observe the changes in the quincies.

Zaraki: Seems like they've perked up haven't they.

Wairudo: There was some sort of disturbance on Soukyoku hill earlier. That seems to be the cause of it.

Zaraki: Hmph, so either they're getting some back up or we are, right?!

Wairudo: They may be getting some back up but we certainly won't be.

Zaraki:?

Wairudo: No one would want to get into the middle of one of your fights at any time, with your Bankai active it almost guarantees they'll go support the other battlefields.

Wairudo straightens up from his battle stance and stabs his sword outwards towards his right. It half disappears into the air and as he turns it a screen door appears. As the screen door opens, behind it you see Unohana Retsu.
As she walks through the door onto the battlefield Zaraki looks at her with a frown.

Zaraki: What's she doing here?

Both Wairudo and Unohona ignore Zaraki. Unohona stares at Wairudo sombrely as she speaks.

Unohana: I've only restored about 50% of my strength.

Wairudo: We have no other choice left. I'll release 6 of your 7 seals.

Unohana:?! If you release that many there's no guarantee-

Wairudo: -You don't have to tell me that. However, if we fail then what does it matter and if we succeed…Well that doesn't seem likely now.

Zaraki: What the f*** are you two-

Wairudo suddenly lashes out towards Unohona whilst muttering something under his breath. Six points light up on her body, her legs, shoulders, stomach and forehead.
Suddenly a storm reiatsu bursts forth from Unohona. It flings her robes back and sends her hair flying in the air. The force it is soo strong it pushes back Wairudo and Zaraki a few feet. A manic laugh reverberates around the battlefield.

Unohana: Hah hah ha haah! Ahah hah ha haah! Finally! What the f*** took you so long you dumb f***s!

Zaraki: ?!

Unohana stands before them, her calm and refined demeanour gone. She has a crazed, wild eyed look as she stares up into the sky still laughing. Wairudo takes a step towards her.

Wairrudo: Are you aware of what's happening? Can we count on your assistance?!

Unohana turns to face him, the manic look fading away, now replaced with a frown.

Unohana: You should be glad that you didn't release the final seal or the first one to have died would have been you. Now, it's not worth the effort.

Wairudo: I asked-

Unohana: -I know most of what's going on! I was too bored to follow all of it. You pathetic cowards are always so afraid that you leave everything to the last minute.

Wairudo: Will you help us or not Unohana?!

Unohana: Retsu! Don't you dare call me by any other name! You've already sullied the name Kenpachi! You'll call me Retsu until I take back that name. And…I, refuse!

Wairudo: !

Unohana: I'm going on a killing spree. Stay the f*** out of my way and I'll consider leaving you till last!

Unohana glances at Zaraki and the evil smile returns to her face.

Unohana: What an interesting little boy you are, I'll definitely play with you later.

Zaraki: ?! Who the f*** are you?!

Unohana laughs a hollow little laugh. She disappears from where she stands and suddenly appears behind Zaraki, her body wrapped around his, with her hands stroking his face. She whispers into his ear.

Unohana: Weren't you always looking for a certain…someone?!

Zaraki:?!

Unohana: I bet you didn't think she was always in front of your face the entire time, right?. Be a good little boy and wait for me here and maybe I'll... indulge you later on!

Unohana disappears from behind Zaraki and appears high in the sky. Zaraki's reiatsu bursts forth violently as a guttural roar comes from his lips.
Just as he's about to leap after her, Wairudo appears before him, his sword aimed at Zaraki.

Zaraki: Get the f*** outta my way!

Wairudo: Wait Zaraki Kenpachi, now is not the time for this! If you go after her now then we ALL die and everything will be meaningless.

Zaraki: As long as I'm the one to kill her I don't give a crap about anything else!

Wairudo: …If you're intention really is to kill her, and there is no way to dissuade you from it, then I suggest even more that you wait and watch for now.

Zaraki: What the f-

Wairudo: -The last time she escaped her seals it took the leader of the Quincies and the leader of the Gotei 13 amongst others to seal her back up.

Zaraki:?!

Wairudo: What you are looking at is the first Kenpachi. The one from who the legends began. This title, that has in recent times been a badge of honour, did not always start that way Zaraki Kenpachi.

Zaraki: ?

Wairudo: It was a title created by her, only for herself, once she deemed everyone so far beneath her that they weren't worthy of her raising her sword. It was a title that signified one who'd slain all their opponents until none remained.

Zaraki: …

Wairudo: If you at least wish to know how you died when you fight her, then I suggest that for now you watch…and wait.

Zaraki: !

Bleach 546: The first Kenpachi

Authors Note: Hi all, i hope you're enjoying this so far. There were 2 things i wished to highlight and i thought the end of this chapter was the perfect time.

1. The fact that Unohana is a Kenpachi just like the official story is just a coincidence (i didn't pinch the idea lol). When i first started writing this, apart from Masaki, Unohana was the only other person that i had definitively thought about introducing in some bad ass form. From my perspective (over 10 yrs ago) she was a Captain that others showed hints of fear towards in the first arc and she was even a captain that was sent to Hueco Mundo, so yeh i wanted something more badass for her and coming with an idea for her being a kenpachi came quite easily after that.

2. I've realised writing the last few chapters how easily i've backed myself into a corner. So i apologise if any of the newly written chapters seem forced are not...all that good.

Unfortunately because i was writing this for personal enjoyment there were certain main characters and plot points that had been decided but the where and how had never been considered (i just "knew" that eventually i'd get to it).

Because i've brought things to such a point that time is a major factor now, i've made it a nightmare trying to get anything in without it seeming ludicrous. e.g. Masaki can't spend the next few chapters having family time with Ichigo and Isshin. Where do i find the time for interactions with Zaraki and Unohana blah blah blah.

So my apologies, i'm sure there could have been a lot more depth added if this hadn't come to such a focal point and there was more "time" in the story but since it has got to this point i'll try my best to make it work.
