"Don't. You will not fight again." The Pillar Man spoke wearily, with the human in front of him. However, even though his Divine Sandstorm had shredded the muscles and veins of the Hamon warrior in front of him, that person still moved forward, even though he was no longer able to stand, making it difficult for him to understand.
"Stop. The battle is done." He said he did not want to take action to finish this person. But, with a gasp, the warrior still managed to swing a fist at him. However, those fists didn't even have any Hamon left, let alone injure him. The Pillar Man just stood there, casually taking his weakened punches, in the pool of blood that ran along the stairs.
"Hmph. That means you have no hope." His blood continued to flow, as he struggled to swing his fists. He saw that, and drew back, dodging one of his already slow punches. Losing momentum, his foot slipped in a pool of his own blood, which took away his balance. The Pillar Man turned away, not looking back at the Italian man.
"Farewell. Your life will now end here."
However, his fighting instinct made him turn around.
*TORE*
With a rough movement, he pulled the lip ring containing the antidote from his lips. Blood spurted from his lips, and that was when the Hamon warrior fell from the stairs to the floor below.
"My lip ring with the antidote. Why?" He glanced back at the Italian, however, the said man replied with a look full of determination.
"I... I'm not afraid to die...!" He struggled with his arms, trying to drag his trembling body.
"But I am a proud member of the Zeppeli family. It is in my blood."
The ceiling started to crack, but neither of them noticed it.
"Something like this might mean nothing to an inhuman monster like you."
He started to reminisce about those memories, about his father, about his grandfather.
'My father didn't recognize me, but he sacrificed his life to save mine. My grandfather also gave his Hamon energy to JoJo's grandfather before he died.'
Blood spurted from his mouth, but he was determined to raise his head, looking back at his Pillar with a determined look in his eyes.
'It's tradition, I also have to do something. I can't let my life's flame sputter out!' As he thought about it, his hand went up to his head, removed the headband on his head, and threaded it through the lip ring containing the antidote.
"This is the Zeppeli family spirit, from the past to the future! It's the human spirit!"
A rock in the ceiling began to collapse, but, with blood and Hamon, he channeled all of his strength into the last bubble.
"JoJo, this is the last of my Hamon! Take it!"
His Ripples, as if glowing in this dark space, glowed like a last ray of hope.
Exhausted, he fell to the ground and closed his eyes. Let that rock put an end to his life.
The life of a true Zeppeli.
With his body aching, he opened his dim eyes.
His body was leaning against a tree, his body was tired all over.
His blue pupils opened, greeted by the sudden sunlight, causing him to immediately reach out and cover his eyes.
"Ah... My life ended... So this must be heaven."
He let his eyes adjust to the sunlight as if he had just woken up from a long sleep. He looked back at his body. And strangely, it was different from a wounded body like he had expected. He's totally... okay.
"Cosa...? I'm completely okay! What is this?"
He said to himself, raising his arms and getting up from his seat. A beautiful forest was the first thing he saw around him. Sunlight, and fresh air, made him want to immerse himself in this space too...
However, a swing of a mace knocked him out of those thoughts. Fortunately, he immediately leaned back, once the mace entered his line of sight.
"Hey, that thing almost flew in my face! Don't you know what respect is!" He shouted at the person who attacked him. However, when he looked back at him, he began to realize that this guy had a strange accessory.
A mask with strange patterns covered the attacker's face. It wasn't just his face that was strange. When around his head was like a coat, underneath he was wearing a loincloth, and his hand was wearing a long bandage.
He started uttering cryptic words, from his point of view, as he couldn't understand what the other man was trying to say. However, after thinking for a moment, a flame of anger rose above his head.
"You bastard! Do you want to pretend that you're an Italian?!" He gave the other a friendly punch, with just enough force to shatter his mask and knock him to the ground.
"First of all, JoJo wants to pretend to be Italian by talking to me in French. Now, you too?!" He spoke in anger before footsteps approached him. Around him were many others just like that, and in addition, an extremely large guy, with a shield as big as himself.
"...Do you think having a big guy will increase your percent of winning? Well, let me tell you this: It won't." He said, before entering a combat position. Clearly, he was not afraid of these numbers.
However, before the big guy could charge in and strike, a figure suddenly charged forward past him, before he could react. The said person, with the greatsword in his hand, blew away the shield in his hand. Then, a finishing blow was delivered, by a straight slash from his head to his feet.
He fell, after only a few seconds up here. Seeing that, that person put the greatsword on her shoulder.
And then, all the remaining guys started to rush and attack, to kill this person as quickly as possible.
"Hey! Don't you forget me yet!" He leaped into the air, his hand starting to create bubbles containing Ripples in his hand. And, using the momentum when he was on top of the other's head-
[Bubble Launcher!]
A series of Hamon bubbles flew in all directions, wounding all opponents on the battlefield. Then he landed in front of the other person, looking back at his hands, still glinting a little bit of Hamon.
"Wow... I could still use Hamon and these bubbles as well." He said, unbelieve in his ability.
"Hey, sir." That person called out to him, making him turn his head, his face a bit annoyed.
"What-?"
And, for just a small moment, he believed he was in heaven.
An elegant girl with fair skin and purple-yellow eyes, with blue hair longer on the left side of her face and long hair reaching to her eyelids, wearing a black cardigan attached. clan emblem on the sides, open back, and slightly translucent, black center shirt. The sleeves are spread and are white-blue, and she also wears a belt below her chest.
And, something popped up in his mind.
"Dios mios... So this is truly heaven."
For some reason, his 'Italian' sense stepped in, when he stooped in front of her so suddenly, making her almost fall, if it weren't for his hand to catch her from behind.
"Say, signorina, where is the gateway to heaven?"
When she heard that, her face told how confused she was, as he had expected. However, what was contrary to his expectations, was when, she pushed him away from her, something he had never seen with anyone he had used the technique before.
"Don't push your luck too far, Traveler." She coughed lightly and regained her composure, before looking back at him.
"Captain of the Reconnaissance Company of the Favonius Knights, Eula Lawrence. And I request you to be serious." Eula reached out her hand, introduced herself a little, and looked him straight in the eyes. He sighed a little, as his flirting technique did not affect this girl. But-
*pose*
"Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli at your service, signorina."
"Eh, Amber? Do you think I can do it?" Lumine stood on the stone pedestal of the square, looking back at Amber with trepidation and suspicion. However, Amber's face remained positive, not worried about her.
"Don't worry, with my experience in using the Wind Glider, just listen to me and you will become a master in no time!"
So confident, even Lumine thought so. If you're asking what the hell she's doing in the square of Mondstadt, well, she's getting used to her new gift from Amber. A Wind Gilder. It was rather challenging to use since she had never seen it, let alone used it.
She stood from the pedestal and looked down at the city below. Although she is not afraid of heights, she is also nervous as hell.
"FOLLOW MY INSTRUCTIONS OK!" Amber shouted back towards Lumine. Although she is a very friendly and sociable person, not everyone can be so patient. Hearing that, Lumine began to sigh. Gently, she closed her eyelids
Do as Amber instructs?
Ah, that's right.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Then exhale again.
She jumped off the stone platform where she was standing. The light from behind her back began to grow in branches. A gust of wind and light flared up, opening a pair of magical black wings.
Those wings spread out, welcoming the winds blowing from the ground, lifting her up, helping her land slowly into the city square.
"I-I can do it... I CAN DO IT!" She exclaimed in delight before letting her body sway with the gentle winds of Mondstadt.
But... Something's not quite right...
Why is the wind getting stronger every time?
Before she knew it, the clouds had turned a gray color, just as the winds had grown into whirlwinds within Mondstadt. With an unimaginable thrust of wind, Lumine was, not unexpectedly, blown up into the sky, just when her feet were only a few centimeters off the ground.
"What the hell?!" Whirling in the wind of the sky, Lumine managed to keep her balance, using the Wind Gilder as a paraglider.
"Huh? How are you staying afloat like that with just a Wind Gilder?"
... Looks like Paimon also got blown into the sky.
However, not long after that, a dragon suddenly flew past her, as if it almost strangled her and Paimon into its mouth.
"Hey! Why is this dragon attacking us?"
Paimon spoke back in fear, but Lumine didn't answer her back. On the contrary, she was staring at the dragon intently, making Paimon unbearably flustered.
"Hey, Lumine! You should do something! Or that dragon will make us into its dinner!" Lumine still didn't look back at her, but still had words to reply.
"Paimon... Noon is the time for lunch, not dinner. And look who's there." She pointed back at the dragon's direction, or rather, a black figure standing above the dragon's head.
"Wait... Jotaro?"
[Star Platinum: The World!]
With his powers, Jotaro used Star Platinum, stopping time in midair.
Right.
ON THE MIDAIR!
After he was blown into the sky, stopping time immediately popped into his head.
Because first, he can't fly.
And because of the second, when time stops, it's also the time when he is not restrained by 'Gravity'.
Therefore, he remained in his hovering position as soon as time stopped.
"Yare Yare Daze..." Star Platinum swung her fist straight into the face of the dragon, which was now only about a meter away from him.
"If I don't stop the time in time, I'll probably be this dragon's dinner." He said, before looking back over the other side. The place where Lumine was floating with her... 'wings'?
Whatever, that's not what he should be concerned with right now.
It didn't take a second, he immediately climbed onto this dragon's head, before-
"Time will move once again."
As soon as the sentence ended, the dragon, due to the impact of Star Platinum while the time stopped, was immediately deflected, avoiding Lumine's direction.
"Hey... Dragon, I don't know your name. But I know that you have a master, but where's the leash?"
He stomped his foot on its head. And as if understanding his words, which weren't meant to be a compliment, let out an angry growl, constantly twirling around, aiming for him to lose his balance and fall.
Of course, Jotaro couldn't keep his balance and fell off its head. Fortunately, he was able to grab its nape just in time.
"You damn dragon... How about I beat you up until you understand my words, huh?!"
He summons Star Platinum, letting his Stand run wild and swinging its fists down the nape of its neck, where he thinks it's a weak point, as it takes on a different purple tone compared to most of the dragon's body.
"ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA!"
With a series of devastating punches, he successfully dealt damage to this damn dragon. However, because he was too busy beating this dragon, he did not notice an arrow coming.
*STAB*
The arrow pierced straight into the palm of his hand holding the dragon, causing him to immediately release his hand from the dragon.
"Damn it!"
He yelled out a curse word, before letting his body fall freely into the city of Mondstadt.
"Yare Yare Daze~!"
A voice jokingly parodied his words, and at the same time, another hand grabbed his other hand, preventing him from falling freely.
"In all of my seriousness, how did you just get on top of that dragon so easily?"
Lumine asked in confusion, but he just raised his eyes and looked back at her.
"I have... wings. Just like you."
Jotaro replied back, not wanting to reveal his power yet. And, while it wasn't a joke, it made Lumine chuckled a little.
"Hehe, so we both have a long story to explain, right?"
As soon as she finished her sentence, the two of them landed safely in front of the angel statue of Mondstadt.
"Lumine, Jotaro! Are you both okay?!"
Amber ran at them, asking them nervously.
"Since when did it become your business?"
Jotaro said, keeping his usual cold demeanor. Even though it was cold, it couldn't cover his injured hand.
"Oh my Barbatos! What's wrong with your hand?
However, before Amber came to check on his wound, small applause rang out, as if to celebrate their other feat.
It was a tall, slender young man with dark skin. His eyes are sharp and slanted, periwinkle color with long eyelashes and diamond pupils. His hair is navy blue with lighter streaks and is tied back into a waist-length ponytail. The bangs are cut into a long ponytail that covers half of the face and a simple black bandage.
But in general, Jotaro and Lumine, include don't know who he is either.
"I didn't expect both of them to have the strength to go against dragons..."
He slowly withdrew his hand, before stopping.
"Are you both our allies... Or are you a new storm?"
"Besides, you two are still holding hands. If I'm not mistaken, are you two a couple?"
Hearing that, Jotaro and Lumine both looked back at their hands. And just like he said, they were still holding hands, ever since he and she landed together until now.
The shadow from the brim of the hat covered Jotaro's eyes, as well as the blush that covered Lumine's cheeks.
And after that...
"WE ARE NOT A COUPLE!"
Yep, Chapter 3 ends here.
