Chapter 16:
At the Yukinoshita compound, inside Yukipapa's man cave, or in this case, a large air conditioned room, a really long table in the middle, a huge TV screen.
Yukipapa and a lot more men in black business suit are sitting around the long table.
"Butler-kun, turn off the lights" Yukipapa said to a middle aged man in butler uniform.
The lights are down, then the dim light from the big TV screen started to cover the dark room.
The TV shows a picture of Hikigaya.
"This gentlemen, are our future" Yukipapa said.
One of the men raised his hand and asked "How so? Even you Yoichiro-sama could not do it."
"Well all know here that being involved in a Yukinoshita would turn every man into a masochist, but this kid can stay near the vicinity of my second daughter without turning into one!" Yukipapa stated.
"Could this kid be the one from the legend passed down each generation in the Yukinoshita family?" Another man said.
"Yes, he might be it... The boy in the legend... Hundreds of years ago, the founding father of the Yukinoshita family made a deal with a yokai a Yuki onna, this deal gave immense wealth and power, everything is going good for the Yukinoshita family until the Yuki onna demanded her end of the deal, the founding father's first born son, the founding father refused to give his son, saying that his son would continue his legacy, this angered the yokai and cursed the family bloodline, the Yukinoshita family would never have a son ever again, and all of their daughters would be cold as an ice, the founding father despaired and bowed his head to the ground, asking for forgiveness, but the curse is placed, the Yuki onna pitied the bowing man so she gave the man a chance to break the curse, if a man is able to break the ice covering of atleast one Yukinoshita woman, the curse would be broken too." Yukipapa said.
Yukipapa then bolted out of his seat and said "This is great! If we were successful on making Yukino truly fall in love with Hachi, the curse would be broken an our wives wouldn't be cold ice queens anymore!"
Every one cheered.
"Yeah!"
"I can finally try being in the top position!"
"I can finally have my first kiss with her!
"Alright!"
"She'll finally pay back what she owe me!"
"Let's go!"
"Mobilize all your resources men! We shall make Hachi the best groom the Yukinoshita family will ever get! Fortunately, it seems like Hachi don't have romantic feelings for anyone so we are free to make him love my daughter! And for that, we must make ideal situations for romances between Hachi and Yukino!" Yukipapa shouted as he pushed a button in the TV remote, causing the TV to show an elaborate plans to make Hikigaya and Yukinoshita fall in love.
Suddenly the door opened.
It was Yukimama that entered the room!
"Oh dear" Yukipapa immediately turned of the TV "What brings you here?" he asked.
"My sexual urges has got the best of me, and is now eating away my attention, focus and precision in work, as my husband, you vowed in that altar that you would always give me your aid, now come with me, I am in need of your assistance" Yukimama said with a small tint of red in her face.
"Ok... Gotta go" Yukipapa said, then he looked at the other men "Duty call... Do this without me" he said as he got dragged out of the room.
"Ok! Commence operation!" all of them cheered.
A week later... The day of the fighting game match between the A.S.S Lvl 10 club A.K.A Manga Club and the Unofficial Gamer club.
At the Hikigaya household...
Hikigaya just bolted out of their door shouting "I'm late! Komachi left without waking me up? What's happening?"
He looked at his bike... It missing its wheels! "What? How? Now of all times?" he complained.
"To the station then!" He ran as fast as he could.
At the distance, there is a man in black shades and tuxedo talking to his phone and said "He is on the run."
A drone started to follow Hikigaya from the distance.
Then at a random rooftop is a group of men in a black tuxedo, all of them are doing something with their laptops and other complicated looking gadgets.
"Where is he right now?" one of the men asked the other.
"He is in the 2nd street" other one asked.
The one who asked then started typing in his laptop then said "I predicted his route to school, it seems like his route won't intersect with Yukino-sama's route to school."
"Tell the field team to manipulate his route to school, I'll give them instructions" one of the tuxedo guys said.
Back at Hikigaya...
"Ok! If I continue this pace, I won't be late! Now... I just have to turn into this street and... A car accident?" Hikigaya is halted by a car accident blocking the way.
"Such bad luck! OK! A little detour would only lose me a minute anyway" Hikigaya said as he turned back and ran to a different street.
Hikigaya then reached an intersection of roads, Hikigaya has now 3 options on which way choose, all of then would lead him to the station anyway, so he chose the left road.
Back at the tuxedo guys...
"He has chosen the left road!" one guy said.
"Oh no! He must choose the right road! Drop one of our helicopters in the left road!" the other guy said.
Back at Hikigaya...
"This road would lead me faster to the station... WHAT IS THAT?" A helicopter has landed and parked in the road he had chosen, blocking it completely.
"I'll take the middle road then... WHY? WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME?" Hikigaya shouted as another helicopter landed in the road of his choosing.
"The right road it is then" Hikigaya said, and fortunately for him, no vehicle blocked him this time.
Back at the tuxedo guys...
"Good, if he continue to walk that path, he will surely meet Yukino-sama" one of them said.
"OHH NO! THERE IS A REAL CAR ACCIDENT IN THE ROUTE OUR TARGET IS TAKING!" one of them shouted.
"Order our field team to get a limo and crash it into the accident! CLEAR THE WAY!" one of them commanded.
Back at Hikigaya...
"Ohh no! Another accident? Just what happened to Chiba? Why is ti filled with reckless drivers?" Hikigaya dispared.
Then, a limo crashed into the cars involved in the accident, clearing the way, the owners of the said cars can only hang their mouths open out of shock.
The driver of the limo then shouted at Hikigaya "Would you look at that, an accident, but at least the way is clear now right?"
"Yeah... OK... Gotta go" Hikigaya said as he run past the "accident".
Hikigaya is now running into an intersection of two roads, then as he run into the intersecting point of the roads, he bumped into someone.
"Oh... Sorry, I'm really sorry... Wait Yukinoshita? Why are you here? You'll be late!" Hikigaya is surprised, he then offered a hand to help Yukinoshita get up.
"My alarm clock seems to be broken, which caused me to wake up later than scheduled" Yukinoshita said as she takes Hikigaya's hand.
"Let's go then! The train's gonna depart from the station!" Hikigaya said as he let go of Yukinoshita's hand and ran. Yukinoshita being competitive, ran too.
Back at the tuxedo guys...
"Whoah! It's all according to Yoichiro-sama's predictions! Now that they are forced to run, Yukino-sama's weak stamina would slow her down, causing the target to help her!"
Back at Hikigaya...
Hikigaya noticed that Yukinoshita is slowing down, so he matched her running pace then grabbed her hand and said "I am really tempted to leave you behind but you owing me something is never a bad idea." A slight blush has formed into Yukinoshita's cheeks.
...
They have reached the station...
At the tuxedo guys...
"They have reached the station! Field team! You know what to do!" one of the tuxedo guy said.
Back at Hikigaya...
The two boarded the train, all of the seats are taken by guys with tuxedo so the two are just standing, but they are standing apart from each other! The tuxedo guys anticipated this so they flooded the train! A lot of guys wearing black tuxedos suddenly boarded and filled the cart of the train, forcing Hikigaya and Yukinoshita to stand really close to each other.
Then, to bury the nail into the coffin, one of the guys in tuxedo talked to Hikigaya and said "There might be molesters in this train, you better protect your girlfriend" but before Hikigaya could even answer, the tuxedo guy said something again "You gotta hug her, you know, so that you could cover her body from evil doers, or do you want your girlfriend to be molested?" and then, hearing his cue, one of the tuxedo guys, let out a creepy laugh.
This forced Hikigaya to reculantly hug Yukinoshita and said with a blushing face "You really owe me big time now Yukinoshita" to which Yukinoshita answered "You are the only one touching me Hikimolester-kun."
"I'll let go then" Hikigaya said.
"Absolutely not!" One of the tuxedo guys said, "Let go of that girl and something bad might happen... To you."
Hikigaya didn't let go.
...
They arrived at their school and split ways. While walking towards their respective classrooms, Yukinoshita got a faint blush on her face while Hikigaya has a really terrified face.
While walking towards his room, Hikigaya is whispering to himself "Whats with my luck today? A lot of car accidents happening around me... Helicopters landing and blocking my path... Being threatened to hug someone... Oh no... What would happen to our match against the gamer club? My bad luck would surely make us lose the game!"
"OH! I know! I'll just cast Blessing on me to increase my luck!" Hikigaya thought. With his new found idea in mind, he ran towards the boy's comfort room and started spamming Blessing on himself.
"Blessing!" Hikigaya shouted as a yellow magic circle appeared a top of his head and started showering golden sparkles on him.
But unfortunately, the sparkles didn't even landed on him! All of the sparkles evaded him!
"Am I so unlucky that my luck levels are on negative numbers and adding luck aren't helping?" Hikigaya panicked.
"If I can't raise my luck, I'll just reduce the luck of my enemies!" Hikigaya said as he creepy laugh.
Classes ended, start of the club hours...
At the A.S.S Lvl 10 club room...
In their usual table lays atop is a small TV, then connected to the TV is a gaming console with two controllers connected to it. These machines will decide the fate of each clubs competing.
To the left of the table are three chairs, sitting on them are the big and chubby guy Kyoji, the tall and skinny Hirata, and the black haired guy tied in a low and short ponytail Ryugi.
Then, to the right of the table is another three chairs and sitting on them are Zaimokuza, Hikigaya and Yukinoshita.
In front of the table is Hiratsuka, serving as a witness on the events about to unfold.
"As you all know, we've got too excited and never specified the game that we were to play, we thought it would be unfair for the less experienced to play something they didn't practice at, we are really sorry" the gamer club stood up from their seats and bowed to the opposing team. "We shall let you choose what game to play" they added.
Hikigaya POV:
What? The moment they bowed to us, a burst of golden sparkles (good luck) showered on them!... Their luck is overflowing! But! If I were to share my bad luck on them we could change the tides of war!
3rd Person POV:
"We chose Emperor of Fighters then!" Hikigaya stated.
"Then Emperor of Fighters it is" Ryugi said as Hirata stood up to set up the game.
While the game is being set up, Hiratsuka starts to talk "The rules are simple, each group will assign who their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd players are, after the result of the first fight, the loser will be replaced by their next player while the winner will remain playing until they are defeated."
After hearing the explanation, the groups started to discuss their playing order. The gaming club seems to be fast on deciding and already sat according to their order, with Kyoji being the first, Hirata in second, and Ryugi at third.
"Putting our strongest player at first position seems to be a good strategy so that we could wipe out their team in one go" Zaimokuza suggested.
"No that would be bad, Zaimokuza you are our strongest player, you might be able to beat the other two, but won't you be too exhausted to fight their leader?" Hikigaya stated.
"Let us put Zaimokuza in the last, then Hikigaya-kun at the first, you are our second strongest player Hikigaya-kun so you shall be able to thin out their numbers, I will be the 2nd player, if Hikigaya-kun were to be defeated, I shall tire out the enemies so that when it's Zaimokuza-san's turn arrives he would be fighting a severely weakened enemy" Yukinoshita explained.
"Ok,lets go with that!" Hikigaya agreed.
Hikigaya then looked at Hiratsuka and nodded, Hiratsuka nodded to in response then shouted "Now that the team compositions are set, let the battle begi-"
Door violently opened
"HACHIIIIIII!" Yukipapa entered the room like a missile then jumped at Hikigaya.
My luck couldn't just get any better huh? Hikigaya thought not knowing that his "Bad lucks" on his way to school is caused by the very man hugging him.
Yukipapa landed on Hikigaya, making the chair Hikigaya is sitting on to stumble on the ground. Now with Hikigaya on the bottom and Yukipapa on the top, Yukipapa then said "NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS HERE, YOU'LL STILL BE MY BEST STUDENT! Also marry Yukino and suffer with me!"
"Otou-san! Why are you here?" Yukinoshita asked.
"I'm here to watch of course! Also, you marry Hachi OK?" Yukipapa said.
"HIKIGAYA! I DIDN'T KNOW YOU WERE THIS CLOSE TO YUKINOSHITA-SAN! YOU'RE LIKE RIDING THE ELEVATOR TO ADULTHOOD! TRAITOR!" Zaimokuza complained.
"No, no, no, no... It's Yukinoshita and Hikigaya were talking about here, there's no way! They would probably die alone, yeah... LET'S ALL DIE ALONE!" Hiratsuka lost it.
Hehehehe... Let's start by doing small steps now... If Hachi's team lost, I would invite them to a restaurant to cheer them up, if they won, I would still invite them to a restaurant to celebrate, either way I'll still get closer to Hachii and groom him to be the best groom for Yukino. Yukipapa thought.
"Let us delay no further, can we please begin the battle?" Ryugi asked.
And so the game was on!
Hikigaya VS. Kyoji!
Hikigaya picked the small old man with claws again while Kyoji picked a bulky soldier looking guy.
Round 1... Fight!
Hikigaya did an aerial attack, but Kyoji is fast to act and jumped away to safety.
Kyoji then countered by doing a dash grab, but Hikigaya's character is too fast for a grappler and executed a 3 hit combo.
The 1st of the 3 hit combo landed before the grab, but grapplers has this moves that gives invincibility for a short time.
When the 2nd hit of Hikigaya's combo landed, Kyoji immediately used a move that grants invincibility.
Kyoji's character didn't take any damage from Hikigaya's 2nd attack then dived through the air and grabbed Hikigaya's character.
Kyoji then threw Hikigaya on the ground dealing heavy damage, then followed it by jumping into Hikigaya's character and dropped on him and elbowed him.
Hikigaya then quickly recovered then jumped away.
Kyoji not being greedy jumped away too, but not too far.
Hikigaya then jumped gain but this time, his character moved like a corkscrew, he quickly closed the distance, dealt a small 3 hit damage combo, and knocked down Kyoji's character.
Hikigaya then jumped atop of Kyoji's character and did the same move but instead of forward corkscrew, it's downward this time.
Another 3 hit combo, Hikigaya then waited for Kyoji's character to stand then unleashed a 5 hit combo where Hikigaya's character released a flurry of slashes.
Hikigaya got to close, so Kyoji grabbed Hikigaya and suplexed him, dealing another heavy damage.
Hikigaya has taken enough damage to be able to use a special move.
Hikigaya's character quickly recovered then executed a 2 hit combo just to remove Kyoji's guard and executed his special move.
Hikigaya's special move is making his character to quickly release a flurry of slashes with his claws then spin around making a whirlwind of slashes.
This reduced Kyoji's health to really low, one normal hot is enough to kill him.
Hikigaya is now going for the kill but his controller slipped out of his hand!
"Lucky!" Kyoji said as he finished Hikigaya's character off.
Hikigaya lost round 1.
But what is surprising is the same thing happened in round 2!
Hikigaya lost the match, he is then replaced by Yukinoshita.
It's now Kyoji VS. Yukinoshita!
"This is strange... How could that happen?" Hikigaya whispered to himself.
He then felt something... It's not magic, but something more...
It was luck! A blessing from the gods?
Their overwhelming luck made me lose! But how come they had a lot of luck? Hikigaya thought.
"It doesn't matter where they got their luck, all I have to do is give them bad luck!" Hikigaya whispered to himself.
Hikigaya is so deep within his thoughts he didn't notice Yukinoshita has lost too.
"I did what I can, but my own inexperience brought my downfall" Yukinoshita said as she seats beside Hikigaya.
Its now 3 against 1.
But Zaimokuza seems to be so confident.
Zaimokuza VS. Kyoji!
Hikigaya knew what to do, he chanted magic in his mind then summoned an invisible bad luck demon! The bad luck demon is a violet colored bat looking demon with one eye and exaggerated big mouth.
The bad luck demon possessed Kyoji!
Zaimokuza defeated.
Its now Zaimokuza VS. Hirata!
"This guy has more luck than the last one!" Hikigaya whispered to himself.
"I'll just summon more bad luck demons!" He whispered as he summoned 3 bad luck demons.
The bad luck demons made quick work on Hirata's luck.
Hirata lost to Zaimokuza too.
Its now Zaimokuza VS. Ryugi!
"We felt it! Someone is using sorcery on us!" Hirata shouted.
"You felt it too? I knew I felt malicious intent! It's coming from this guy!" Kyoji said as he pointed at Hikigaya.
This shocked Hikigaya but knowing that he suddenly got magic, he also put into consideration that someone might somehow get their hands on magic.
He then asked. "Well, you guys are using your luck to overpower us! It's should be ok for us to use magic to right?"
Hirata and Kyoji just scowled at him.
Zaimokuza and Ryugi started their battle, but that is not in Hikigaya and the other's concern now. The only one concerned about Zaimokuza's fight is Hiratsuka being the witness of this fight after all.
Kyoji and Hirata is now against Hikigaya on a mage battle!
Hikigaya quickly summoned a dozen of bad luck demons and made them possess Ryugi.
Kyoji and Hirata quickly prayed, summoning good luck to counter Hikigaya's bad luck demons.
Hikigaya's bad luck demons has been defeated!
"Ghahaahaha! You can't defeat our luck! We 3 are shrine boys from the temple! We also give 50% of our winnings in a gaming tournament to the local daycare! We also give daily offerings to the temple and wish for world peace! We were blessed to the max! GHAHAAHAHA!" Kyoji shouted.
"No... You mean you 3 are genuinely good guys? You just look like delinquents?" Hikigaya can't believe it.
"You! Bringer of bad luck! Are you part of FOE?" Hirata asked Hikigaya.
"What FOE?" Hikigaya asked back.
"Forces Of Evil! FOE! Now speak up!" Hirata asked again.
"No I am not part of some shady evil organizations" Hikigaya answered.
"Of course that's someone part of an evil organization would say!" Kyoji said.
"You FOE member!" Hirata points at Hikigaya and said "I know you heared of us!".
"You are the Big Bosses of arcades right?" Hikigaya said.
"Well only by day, at night we are the Magical Shonen trio! And you are now are target!" Hirata and Kyoji said in unison as they point at Hikigaya.
"Hikigaya-kun... Should you really be talking about the super natural while my father is here? He is just a normal person" Yukinoshita asked.
"Look,your father is not normal, also he is more focused on the video game, also he will just think we are chunnibyuo high schoolers" Hikigaya disregarded Yukinoshita's father as he is in a heated battle against some magical shonens.
But currently in this clubroom, there are no normal person.
Hikigaya and his gang knowing about Hikigaya's otherworldly magic.
The trio and their career as magical shonens at night.
And Yukipapa and the legend of the Yukinoshita family.
What could happen?
