Okay, the Four Winds Temple chapters all happen at the same time. So here it is.
The dark clouds gradually dissipated, revealing a sun that had reached its summit. They succeeded in cutting off the source of the power of the Stormterror, successfully taking the first step to stop this dragon.
Jotaro and Lumine.
"God! Paimon feels like it's been a long day. Isn't it JoJo? Isn't it Lumine?"
Paimon suddenly flew out from the air and asked them cheerfully. But perhaps because this floating girl had already done this trick more than just a few times. So the two of them seem to be not surprised by this anymore.
"Uhm, you're right. It has been a long day, perhaps."
Lumine replied.
"But where's Amber? Paimon remembers she was with us."
Paimon asked, after flying around them but not yet seeing the figure of the Outrider.
"Hmm... She seems to have told us she's going to investigate around here a bit. But she hasn't come back until now. I wonder if she's in any trouble..."
Lumine replied.
But still. Although Lumine and Paimon were standing behind Jotaro, he didn't seem to mind their conversation. Lumine knew the fact that the cold delinquent didn't care much for these small chats. But if all three of the Travelers could be more friendly, wouldn't things be much simpler?
"Hey, Jotaro-"
"It's only noon. We've got an afternoon and an evening."
Jotaro interrupted Lumine without stopping, not even turning his face to look at the two of them.
"Ah, that's right! It is the time when we have lunch! Paimon wants to go back to the Good Hunter for a meal! Let's go~! Paimon flew up in front of Lumine, clasped her hands, and pleaded in 'somewhat' sincerely.
"Sorry, Paimon, but I-"
"Yare Yare Daze..."
Jotaro took a bag of Mora from his pocket and turned around, holding it out in front of them.
"I'll pay today, so there's no need to worry about money or things."
Jotaro said before putting the Mora bag back in his pocket and continuing to walk.
"Yay! So Paimon doesn't have to worry about starving to death!"
Lumine could only stay silent. It wasn't because she was wondering where Jotaro got that number of Mora. She wanted to know why someone like Jotaro agreed to help him.
It wasn't a question she was thinking of now. When he agreed to go with them, this question had already popped into her head. But the chances of her asking this question in the first place were none.
And maybe this is the right time to ask.
"Hey, Jotaro... Why are you helping me?"
Lumine asked, she felt a bit relieved when she could finally say it. The question made Jotaro pause for a moment. But in response to her was not an answer but a sigh.
"Are you stupid? I help you find your brother, you help me get back. Isn't it that obvious?"
He turned back to look at her and replied.
"...Oh. So that's what you're doing..."
"Yes, and stop annoying me with your question, woman."
Lumine unconscious lowered her head and was silent for a while, making Paimon a little worried.
"Lumine... are you okay?
"Hmm? Ah! I'm fine, let's go!"
Lumine said before walking ahead of both of them.
"Paimon thinks something's wrong with Lumine today... What's JoJo's thought?"
"...Beats me."
Caesar and Eula
"Wait, signorina, I can explain!"
He said as he tried to get through the trees. But as soon he ran and dashed over the obstacle, that was when the Spindrift Knight disappeared from his sight.
"How the hell..."
Caesar gave up. He had been chasing her from the moment they left the Temple of the Wolf until now. He sat down, leaning his back against a nearby tree.
"Why do I have to follow her around?"
The blonde Italian put a hand to his face and lamented. He wasn't a trickster like Joseph, so he couldn't tell what trick she had used other than Hamon to run at such speed.
It was the first time that this feeling flowed through him.
JoJo (both Joseph and Jotaro) was right when saying that he IS a casanova. Now thinking about it, he used to flirt with girls as a game to entertain himself. Those delicious dinners and flirtations were just for show.
Of course, as a man of honor, he always ended his relations with those women as soon as the first phase was over.
He never went too far with those women. Not a single one of them caught his eye.
Except for one person...
"Eula Lawrence... How can she possesses such a noble and elegant beauty?"
His beating heart was the thing that caused him to say this line. This compliment was less than a fraction of the flattery he used to say to other girls. But this was also the first sentence his heart caused him to say. Those purple-yellow eyes... That gorgeous body... It all looked so seducing to Caesar. In his eyes, Eula was the most gorgeous person he had ever met.
But, if it's just because of her body, he's met a lot of people like that, most of them are weak and soft girls, so he has plenty of chance to hit on them.
What about Eula? She is another type. Not just some spoiled, bad girl who wastes their life on the luxury they possess. Not even like those weak, fragile girls. Although some dudes from the Knights of Favonius claimed she came from a noble bloodline, his first impression of her is different.
She was a strong, tactical person like his Hamon master, Lisa Lisa. Far from the aristocratic stereotype that he always thinks of.
Only now did he realize that this affection of his distracts from the main thing they were doing.
Getting back home.
"No one accepted her invitation that night. That was a joke, right? She did it so I could keep my mouth shut?"
He asked himself so he wouldn't be distracted, but he was also wondering what answer will she give if she were here.
"Good grief... Do I need to beat you up for doubting MY words?"
And standing in front of him right now is the only person who can answer that question. She was looking down at where he was sitting, but the look on her face⦠It was the same, but she didn't seem to be bothered by him at all.
"Signorina? Wait, which part of it have you heard?!"
"From where you spoke my full name for the first time instead of the word 'signorina'. Ugh, what does it even means?"
She took her bag off her shoulder and put it in his hand before sitting beside him. This sudden contact startled Caesar a little. But just a little bit.
"Caesar..."
She called out, causing Caesar to turn back and look her in the eyes.
"What's wrong, signorina?"
His green eyes locked with Eula's purple-yellow eyes. Now then, not a single one of them would lie.
"Noble and elegant...? Don't you think those words are cheesy?"
She flicked her hair as she asked. Caesar blushed a little. When flirting with girls, he never blushed like this. But now, his face reddened because those words he said were sincere.
"Why bother asking that? Of course, signorina, you're the most beautiful woman I've ever met. But..."
"Why did you/I lie to me/you?"
'Merde!'
Caesar thought, as both said it at the perfect moment, reminding him of Joseph, who was always a step before his opponent.
"Firstly, I'll slap your handsome face if it was out of your sarcasm."
Eula said before letting out a long sigh.
"Yeah- Sure! I was just wondering..."
"Hmm, that's the first time."
'Huh? What does she mean by 'first time'?'
"First time someone dares to look at me with those eyes."
"Is that so? With your beauty-"
Eula suddenly covered Caesar's mouth. She didn't want to blush without being able to say what she needed to.
"Then they will look at me with a concerned look like you? Ha, a traveler like you, after knowing the truth about my bloodline, will you still look me in the eye like how you are doing right now? That question is another flame urging me to have my VENGEANCE!"
Caesar was a bit surprised by Eula's outburst at the last part. But he remained silent. He didn't want to interfere with this emotional thread with a cheesy flirtation.
"...Nevermind."
Eula mumbled before getting up from the grass to leave.
"What? Are you kidding-?! Merde!" He got up and followed her. However, I don't understand why...
He still couldn't catch up with her.
Bucciarati and Lisa.
"Damn it! She's already gone without looking at her!"
Bucciarati growled in annoyance, realizing that he had lost a vital clue to their problem. But, a part of him WANT her to run away.
"Bucciarati, don't be such a baby and calm down." Lisa patted his shoulder, wanting him to calm down a bit. And she succeeded when Bucciarati, like her, is also a person who knows how to control her emotions.
"...Sorry, Miss Lisa. I'm a little out of..."
He wouldn't risk saying that she was the one who could answer the question he, no, they all wanted to know.
"Bucciarati, what does she possibly have for you to worry about?"
Lisa asked with a questioning face, but the ex-capo could only stay silent. He doesn't know if he tells the truth, will they accept it? Or will things be more complicated than they expected?
The Pillar Men and the Boss.
Those were the enemies that the Knights of Favonius wouldn't be able to fight back against if not for having them by their side. So the best thing is they fight the dragon. He, Jotaro, and Caesar fight the enemies they had faced before.
"It's okay, Miss Lisa. I just wanted to ask her something-"
"If it is just a few, simple questions, you wouldn't have had such an outburst." Lisa directly interrupted him. In the end, even though she was a humble and gentle one, she finally couldn't stand it anymore. The electrified air from her Vision began to cause Bucciarati to step back a little, but Lisa continued forward.
"Bucciarati, even though I'm a gentle person. But, NO one in Knights of Favonius can stand seeing how you unfold the truth like this. Even me myself."
She grabbed his collar and pulled it down. He was a little startled by this, his whole body almost paralyzed by the electrified air from her Vision.
"Bucciarati... You don't believe me?"
Bucciarati was a little moved when he heard that librarian ask him that. Honestly, she would be someone he could trust, but even he was betraying her trust like this. He clenched his teeth, feeling like standing in the middle of a cliff.
"Miss Lisa..."
Bucciarati grabbed Lisa's shoulder and pushed her back lightly. After all, choices about trust like this are still something difficult for an experienced person like him.
"I'm sorry, but please... Please, don't make me do this. We'll help you, but the enemies we're going to have to deal with, they're-"
"You helping us? What kind of people do you think the Knights of Favonius are? Do you think we're the cowards that run when something or someone threatens us?"
Lisa said she seemed to have calmed down when saying all of that, but there was still a hint of annoyance in her voice.
"When we get back to Mondstadt, I won't take a 'no' from you, cutie." She said before taking a deep breath. It seems that after these words, the humble librarian of the day has returned.
"So, what do you think about a cup of tea at the Good Hunter? Temple of the Lion isn't a good place for a cup of tea."
That friendly smile returned to her lips, making Bucciarati feel that something inside her had lost a beat. But he reciprocated that friendliness, with a similarly bright smile.
"...Um. I'll have a cup of black tea, please."
? and Amber
"Hurry up! I don't have much time for your lowliness." Amber spoke to the stranger leaning on a tree trunk and gasping for breath at the youthful endurance that the Detective Knight possessed.
"Hell! What the fuck have you eaten to be so agile, you brat?"
The person said, in a tone that couldn't be more hateful. But somehow, Amber was still able to keep calm before this voice. "That's the Outrider's Champion Steak. Want some, Abbacchio? When we get back to Mondstadt, I'll treat you to a meal."
Amber said jokingly, somehow pissing off Abbacchio even more.
"Tch."
However, Abbacchio cannot deny that even he is facing hunger. And something else that is much, much worse than that.
'I can't waste my time arguing with this brat... First of all, I still need to save my strength. These fucking assassins are coming. I have to find out if there is a Stand User in this world that can face them or not!'
Abbacchio thought, trying to hug his hungry stomach and follow Amber.
Here you go, chapter 9!
Seriously though, I'm getting obsessed with writing interactions in the couples.
Even though the JoJoverse and the Genshinverse hold no similarities at all, in my PoV, their character does, even if it is just the slightest.
For example, Bucciarati and Lisa.
They are calm, humble, and a perfect 'motherly' figure, but they could be pretty pissed off for a right reason.
And if you're both a Genshin player and a JoJo fan, you can find that their stories are somewhat similar when both have in search of... Knowledge.
"Before demanding too many miracles from the gods, first consider if you are willing to pay the price they ask."
Yeah, you know the drill.
Caesar and Eula.
Well, you know, family and bloodline stuff. Caesar and Eula somewhat respect their bloodline. They are both noble and have somewhat like an iron code of family, bloodline, and honor. (that's how I think, though)
Abbacchio and Amber.
To be honest, I have mixed feelings about these two. Abbacchio was an ex-cop, but life isn't easy, so it screwed him up.
Varak messed some shit up to have the Outriders being almost disbanded by going missing for four goddamn years and longer, if not for his granddaughter's efforts to bear the weight of the Outrider alone, with her undying flame of passion.
Maybe in the future, I'll make Abbacchio the one that guides Amber on the right path, even though he has a foul mouth.
Jotaro and Lumine.
This couple... They possessed no similarities at all.
But still, the process is slow and methodical. Love isn't just some feelings that are borns from similarities, it's more than that.
Maybe, it'll take some time, but not forever.
So, what's your thought about this chapter?
