Ash and friends had just left Mt. Moon. He had sent in Pidgeotto for Horsea. Professor Oak agreed to that and sent him Horsea immediately.

Currently, Ash and his friends had just woken up. Ash was playing with the pokemon. Misty was playing with the pokemon too, but she wasn't as active with them as Ash. She mostly just looked at them from the side. Brock was cooking breakfast.

All was peaceful so far; out of nowhere, a pokemon came flying out of the bushes. It was a Venonat. Instead of the regular red eyes and peach nose, this one had blue eyes and a blue nose. This was a shiny Venonat.

"Are you okay?" Ash asked while jogging towards it. Venonat seemed injured. Ash brought him to Brock who helped heal Venonat. "Thanks Brock!" "No problem Ash. I'm just glad that Venonat is safe."

"I wonder what could have put a pokemon in this position." Misty chimed in. "Probably a battle." said Ash. Unlike other pokemon Ash had saved, Venonat was extremely straight forward from the get go. While Ash was eating he saw Venonat go and open his bag. "Hey! Stop, Venonat!"

His cries fell on deaf ears. Venonat looked through Ash's backpack until he had found what he was looking for. Venonat had found one of Ash's pokeballs. Venonat wished to join Ash due to the act of kindness he received.

"What are you doing?" asked Ash. Ash walked toward Venonat. He jumped back suddenly when Venonat was covered in red light. He looked closer and saw that Venonat was inside of one of his pokeballs.

He decided to transfer Sandshrew for Venonat. He called the professor. "Hey, Professor Oak. Can you send over Venonat?" Ash asked. On the other end, Professor Oak nodded. "Gary is catching a lot more pokemon than you. Some of his are larger than average." Professor Oak said. Before he could finish, Ash lowered his head and started to mope.

"Fret not my boy." Professor Oak said. Ash looked up, hopefully. "You see, he has not managed to find any prehistoric or shiny pokemon. Well, that is to be expected. You are just an exception not the expectation with all those rare catches. While some of Gary's pokemon are large, almost all of yours are ginormous." Professor Oak concluded.

Ash felt great. He was dancing around. "Oh wait, I forgot. Uh, can we do the transfer now?" asked Ash. "Of course!" responded Professor Oak. They did the swap. Ash sent in Sandshrew and received Venonat. "Thanks professor!" Ash said before ending the call.

He brought out Venonat and brought out his pokedex. He pointed at Venonat.

Venonat, the insect pokemon. Venonat is said to have evolved with a coat of thin, stiff hair that covers its entire body for protection. It possesses large eyes that never fail to spot even minuscule prey. This Venonat is male. This Venonat is incredibly large. It is 7'11 tall or 2.5m. It weighs 165.25lbs or 75kg. It has the abilities Compound Eyes and Tinted Lens; it also has the hidden ability Run Away. This Venonat knows Tackle, Disable, Poison Powder, Leech Life, Stun Spore, Super Sonic, Poison Powder, Confusion, Foresight, Psybeam, Sleep Powder, Signal Beam, Struggle Bug, Agility, Bug Bite, Morning Sun, Toxic Spikes, Baton Pass, and Giga Drain. Note: Agility, Bug Bite, Morning Sun, Toxic Spikes, Baton Pass, and Giga Drain are egg moves. This pokemon is shiny.

"You're pretty powerful, Venonat." Ash complimented. "Venonat." Venonat said happily. Ash and his friends continued their journey.

As they walked farther down the path, they found a trainer. He was named Joey. He ran up to Ash. "I challenge you to a pokemon battle!"

Ash was taken aback by the sudden declaration; however, being who he is, he accepted the challenge. "I accept!" "Wonderful." Joey said. "Let's go, Rattata! If you didn't know, my Rattata is different from a regular Rattata; it is like my Rattata is in the top percent of Rattata!" Joey said. "I'll have you know that my pokemon are also very strong." Ash replied. "Wonderful, let us have a splendid battle!" Joey said.

"Pikachu, to the battlefront! Use dig." Pikachu burrowed into the ground. Joey looked stumped, but he did the best he could. "Rattata, use Quick Attack to move around." Ash didn't think Joey could think this fast. He looked like a nine year old who was just hanging out around a place that he was playing in.

"Pikachu, jump out now!" Ash ordered. Pikachu flew out of the ground right in front of Rattata. "Quick, Brick Break." Pikachu's hand glowed white as it smashed into Rattata. Upon contact, Rattata was knocked out. "Man, that was a good match!" Joey said.

"Agreed; maybe we can battle again." Ash commented. They walked down the path a little further when they felt the earth beneath them crunch. Ash and his friends fell into a pit.

Jessie and James spoke in turn. "To protect the world from devastation." "To unite all peoples within our nation." "To denounce the evils of truth and love." "To extend our reach to the stars above." "Jessie!" "James!" "Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light." "Surrender now or prepare to fight."

"Meowth, that's right!" Meowth said while dragging out the word right.

Ash and his friends glared at them. Team Rocket had managed to trap them in a net. "Wait, what do we do now? How do we steal the twerp's pokemon?" James asked. Jessie went blank for a moment. "Wait, I never thought we would get this far! WHAT DO WE DO!?"

Meowth bonked them on their heads. "You food. We'll just call backup!" "You're a genius Meowth!" Jessie and James said at once. "Of course. I'm Meowth."

Ash had enough of their shenanigans he was about to send some of his pokemon out to battle when he heard a yell. "Rattata, use Tackle!" Rattata rammed into Meowth who was flung into Jessie and James.

During that time, Ash and his friends got out of the hole. "Pikachu, send them flying with Thunderbolt!" Pikachu released mass amounts of electricity, destroying a small surrounding area. Team Rocket was sent flying into the sky. "Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!"

Joey and Ash were talking while the others were recovering. "I thought you were all talk; after all, claiming your Rattata is in the top percent is quite the lofty claim." Ash said. "Heh, I guess you're right. To be honest, after our battle, I realized I was kind of being a kid with a big ego. Don't think I'm giving up on my pokemon journey! I still believe that Rattata has the potential to be in the top percent, Rattata's just not there yet!" Joey said partially while yelling the other half.

"I would never expect anything less." Ash said. "When I start my pokemon journey, officially, I want to battle you. Will you be my rival?" Joey asked. "Of course. Rivals." Ash said while extending his hand. "Rivals." Joey confirmed. He grasped Ash's hand and shook it. Joey and the gang parted ways, not forever, just for now.

Ash and his friends walked into the sunset.

"We've been walking for hours!" complained Misty. "When will we get there?" Ash added. Brock looked around sagely. "We have arrived at a clearing; how about we sleep here?" Brock asked.

Both Ash and Misty nodded their heads in agreement. "Then it's settled." Brock said. "Well, someone needs to collect the fire wood and the water…"

Misty "volunteered" Ash. She decided that she would help Brock with some of the food preparations. Ash whined a little, but he agreed to do it.

Collecting the firewood was no problem; I mean, they are in a forest. He just had Anorith use Slash to cut down trees. Then, he would have Anorith cut them further. He brought the wood back to camp. "Thanks Ash!" Brock said. "No problem Brocko." Ash replied.

He went back out looking for a stream or river. He stumbled on something he didn't think he would. After searching for a while, he finally found a stream. The stream was not the interest though; he had found something much more interesting. Along the banks of the stream, he saw traps for pokemon.

'Who could be so cruel?' he thought to himself. He heard a voice. "Damn! I got quite the catch today! I mean, not much but still! I got a shiny and a few other pokemon!" the poacher exclaimed. "Shut up; do you want to let people know?" another voice said quietly. "I'm sorry, you're right." said the first poacher. Ash was glad he was told more information, but he couldn't help think how dumb the first poacher was.

He left Pikachu here to keep watch from a tree; he ran back to camp. He grabbed Misty and Brock. "GUYS! I FOUND A POACHER." Ash whisper yelled. Brock and Misty quickly got up. Ash started running towards where he left Pikachu. Brock and Misty were slightly behind him.

Ash explained what he did to Misty and Brock. "What you did was reckless. Why did you leave Pikachu? He could have been caught." Misty scolded. Ash looked down. He quickly regained his resolve. "I have to trust my friend!"

When they arrived at the stream, the Poacher was still there. He was packing up though. "Onix, destroy that truck!" Brock said. Onix burst out of his pokeball and struck the poacher's truck. "Wha?" the poacher asked himself.

"Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!" Ash commanded. Pikachu jumped off of the tree and electrocuted the man. "Brock, you should call the police." Misty said. "You're right." Brock said. Brock started to dial the phone and call Officer Jenny. "No you don't!" the second poacher said. The first poacher threw out a Geodude from his pokeball. The second one threw out a Poliwag.

Ash sent out Horsea to battle the Geodude. "Horsea, to the battlefront!" "Misty calls Staryu!"

Staryu burst forth from its pokeball. Staryu and Poliwag were fairly evenly matched; however, Misty's Staryu wore it down with a combination of Swift and Water Gun.

"Horsea, use Brine!" Horsea launched salty water from its mouth, defeating Geodude. Being extremely weak to water, Geodude couldn't have taken that attack. Horsea started to glow white; its features started protruding. Its scales become more pronounced.

Horsea had evolved into Seadra!

Ash looked at Seadra in delight. He scanned Seadra with his pokedex.

Seadra, the dragon pokemon. Its spines provide protection. Its fins and bones are prized as traditional medicine ingredients. This Seadra is male. This Seadra is incredibly large. It is 9'10 tall or 3m. It weighs 135.75lbs or 62.5kg. It has the abilities Poison Point and Sniper; it also has the hidden ability Damp. This Seadra knows Water Gun, Smokescreen, Twister, Focus Energy, Dragon Breath, Bubble Beam, Brine, Agility, Icy Wind, Poison Sting, Toxic, Hydro Pump, Surf, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Dragon Dance, Dragon Pulse, Scald, Dragon Rage, Aurora Beam, Disable, Muddy Water, Razor Wind, Flail, Signal Beam, Clear Smog, and Outrage. Note: Dragon Rage, Aurora Beam, Disable, Muddy Water, Razor Wind, Flail, Signal Beam, Clear Smog, and Outrage are egg moves.

Seadra visibly shivered at the pokedex saying that his kind was used to make medicine. "It's okay, no one is going to turn you into medicine on my watch." Ash said. Seadra let out a roar of affection.

Officer Jenny had just arrived. "Thank you so much for your service!" she said gratefully. The poachers were knocked out. Ash and his friends brought out all the poacher's pokeballs. "All right, everyone come out! The poacher has been arrested; you are all free to go."

Almost all of the pokemon left. However, a Poliwag stayed with Misty. When they opened up the cages, there were a few more pokemon. Again, most of them left. Once more, a few Poliwag stayed with Misty.

'What am I going to do with all these Poliwags!?' Misty thought to herself. She guessed that she could send some of them back to the gym. One of the pokemon, an Ekans, stayed behind. It crawled over to Ash. "Ekans ek ekans." "You want a battle?" Ash asked. "Ekans!" the pokemon said while nodding its head vehemently.

"All right then; let's get this show on the road! Seadra, to the battlefront!" The newly evolved pokemon burst out of its pokeball. It stared down Ekans. Ekans didn't back down. Ekans was sizing up Seadra. "Wait for its move." Ash ordered Seadra.

From its mouth, Ekans launched poison darts. 'Ekans is using Poison Sting.' Ash thought. His fists slightly clenched. "Use Icy Wind to blow it away!" Seadra released cold, frosty, airs that numbed Ekans.

Ekans felt slowed; the frost was slowing him. Ekans realized it was in a tough spot. It knew it had to end it quickly. It released highly poisonous venom from its fangs; it was using Toxic. The liquified venom was about to be launched. "Quick, use Disable." There was a light glint in Seadra's eye; this meant the attack was successful.

The venom in Ekans's mouth quickly dissipated. Ekans's eyes widened. It thought the attack was surefire to hit. Ekans tried once more, however, this time, it didn't work in the slightest.

"Hit it with a Muddy Water!" Ash commanded. Seadra summoned a wave of water. Unlike Surf, this water was not blue like the ocean. It was brown and murky. The water crashed into Ekans; injuring it. The attack blinded Ekans.

"Now, while it can't see you! Use Outrage!" Ash yelled out. Ekans had an idea of what was going to happen. Seadra started to glow red and had draconic energy surrounding him. Seadra flew into Ekans and crushed him with the attack.

Ekans was definitely out of commission after that attack. "Go, pokeball!" The red and white ball flew at Ekans. It absorbed Ekans in a red light. After a wiggle or two, the ball let out a ding. "YEAH! I CAUGHT AN EKANS!" Ash yelled while doing a peace sign. Pikachu did it with him.

Ekans's pokeball was sent to the professor. Ash asked for Ekans's pokeball in exchange for Paris. Professor Oak swaps the pokemon. The gang left the site of the poachers, wondering what would happen next.

Look, when I get better at writing, I will probably edit this to be longer and more detailed. Not now though.

Also, should I start another story alongside this? (Please tell me in the reviews. Only registered accounts will be counted.)
