Chapter 7 Republic City
Its been 3 years since the Basilisk was defeated by Korra and the others.
And since Palpatine was discovered as a Sith lord of modern days which made Sean and his father the highest ranking officials within the Republic.
After discovering this both had dismantled the Republic for something new and more efficient.
The Legion.
Tearing down the old ways of the Republic made ways for more efficient ideals.
For one the Senate was mostly disbanded since they had been more of an annoyance than help at times.
While still holding powerful positions they didn't control the Legion like they did the Republic.
Instead of that there were council members who decided on the actions the Legion took. At least for now since while a leader would be selected in time they wanted to fully finish the Legion's construction.
Sean and Members of the Jedi were part of this council as were Carth and Canderous.
And to put more effective positions into this Legion they took some ideas from the Sith empire and used them themselves.
One thing they took was the idea of Governors to control systems and monitor the areas they were in charge of. Currently there were only a handful with Tarkin having the rank of Grand Governor which meant he was in charge of the Outer Rim section.
Another thing being that Thrawn was Made into Grand Admiral as was Carth who both were now in charge of the Legion's entire fleet.
Right now Sean was in his office going over certain projects.
Sean also had been busy inventing new weapons for the Legion such cruisers designs.
"This Eclipse design is gonna take forever." Sean said as his father walked in.
"Still on that design now?" Tarkin asked.
"It took three years to finish my flagship the Assertor Star Destroyer. This one is gonna take twice as much time or more." Sean said. (Is check it out online the thing has hundreds of turrets on it)
"Perhaps. But as the saying goes Patience is a virtue. No one has seen the Sith in the last 5 years since they attacked the temple." Tarkin said.
"And thats what worries me. Right now our Army consists of a little under 100,000 troops and rising at the moment." Sean said.
"You think they're up to something?" Tarkin asked.
"They've been waiting for 4,000 years. I'd be surprised if they weren't up to something." Sean said standing up before grabbing his father's old mask before putting it on.
Sean had taken his older father's wardrobe and put it on himself in the last couple years since he felt it suited him.
"Then perhaps you should reconsider staying here instead of going back to Earth." Tarkin said.
"Tempting but Korra needs to finish her training with Tenzin on Earth since she needs to fully connect to her spiritual side. And we can't do that here." Sean said.
"I suppose." Tarkin said.
"Or perhaps you're hoping they stay here." Sean said leaving making him chuckle.
Arriving in his home Sean smiled seeing Korra with a baby in her arms before seeing another in a crib.
2 months ago Korra had gotten pregnant and gave birth to twins. Reason it was such a short pregnancy was because Sean created a pill that both sped up the pregnancy and prevented birth defects and deformities. This way any of the soldiers who were on Maternity leave the process would go faster.
The oldest was a boy named Junior who had Sean's hair and white skin but had his mother's blue eyes.
The second was named after his Mother Bastila who had her mother's skin texture and hair but her father's green eyes.
"Ready to go?" Sean asked making her smile as she put both of them in slings wrapped around her.
"Yeah. It'll be nice to see home again." Korra said as Sean walked into one room before seeing a green skinnged Twe'lik who was getting some things ready/
"Oola, time to go." Sean said making her smile.
"I'm almost finished." Oola said.
Oola was a former slave that was set free after the Hutt clans were taken down by the Legion. When she did she had nowhere to go so Sean offered her a place with him on Coruscant which she took and repaid him by cleaning and cooking for him and his family.
Unlike the Republic the Legion got the results people wanted so desperately to keep them safe.
The Hutt clans did try to fight back but they were no match for the trained armies of the Legion and the Jedi. So now the Galaxy was free of the Hutts.
Also in the room was a woman who had long brown hair white skin and Violet eyes.
This was Venelena Gremory. She was the Nanny Sean and Korra had hired for the twins when they couldn't be around for them.
"Ready to go." Venelena said as they left.
Arriving at the landing pad they saw the fully rebuilt and upgraded Ebon Hawk.
"Man I love this thing." Sean said as they got on.
"Home sweet home here we come." Korra said as they took off before going into Hyperspace.
Later
Arriving out of hyperspace they came back to Earth.
"Never been to Republic City. Wonder what it's like." Korra said as they came to the City.
Republic City was full of advanced technology now fully advanced like the rest of the galaxy.
"Nice." Sean said before they arrived on Air Temple island seeing Tenzin and his family waiting for them.
The place had been upgraded and gotten bigger since Earth joined the Republic now the Legion.
Getting off the ship they approached them.
"It's good to see you all again after so long." Tenzin said.
"Feels good to be back." Korra said as Junior yawned making her smile.
"Aww." Ikki said looking at the twins.
"How did Flying Lemors deliver babies to you in space?" Meelo asked getting confused looks from everyone. (Oy)
"What? Where did you hear that from?" Sean asked.
"Ugh." Tenzin said sighing.
Arriving inside they got their rooms set up.
"So, happy to be back on Earth after a few years?" Sean asked Jinora who smiled.
"Yeah. I didn't mind living at the temple but I missed my family after a while." Jinora said.
"And clearly proved your mastery of Airbending if that is any indication." Sean said seeing her Airbending Tattoos making her blush a little.
Thats when Drago in a much smaller form came in making her smile.
Reason being he was smaller was because Sean actually found a way to shrink objects and people using a collar on him to keep him in a smaller form.
"So when are the others coming?" Jinora asked.
"Not long from now." Sean said as Bastila cooed making him smile as he picked her up. "Come on hon." Sean said as they left.
Sean with Jinora and his daughter arrived in Republic City.
"Wow." Sean said.
"I wish Grandpa Aang could see it with his own eyes. He'd be proud of this." Jinora said as he held her close.
"Oh trust me I think he'd be more proud of you than a city." Sean said making her blush a little but still smiled at the praise.
Walking to the park they sat down.
"So are either your siblings force Sensitive?" Sean asked.
"No thank the spirits for that. I couldn't handle it if they were." Jinora said making Bastila giggle. "Can I?" Jinora asked as he handed her to Jinora as she giggled at her making Jinora smile. "I never would have imagined you and Korra becoming parents so quick." Jinora said.
"Life works in mysterious ways. Dad wasn't exactly happy at first since he felt it better we plan these things out...But he mellowed out after seeing them." Sean said.
"And what about Your Grandparents on his side?" Jinora asked.
"Oh, Grandma was happy she could have another generation to see grow and so did Gramps. Uncle Gideon is happy to see the family grow." Sean said before they saw some kind of Protest.
"Are you tired. of living under the tyranny of benders? Then join the Equalists. For too long, the bending elite of this city have forced non-benders to live as lower-class citizens. Join Amon, and together we will tear down the bending establishment."
"Oh come on. You can't seriously tell me you think that bending is all bad for the actions of others." Sean said.
"Let me guess. You're a Bender?"
"Nope. But she is." Sean said.
"Oh let me guess? An Earth bender?"
"Nope." Jinora said making him blink.
"Firebender obviously."
"No." Jinora said annoyed.
"Water?"
"AIR!" Jinora yelled annoyed.
"And when was the last time in 1,000 years you heard of Airbenders causing harm to others. Nothing. Especially since Sozin wiped most of them out save for Aang." Sean said.
"Maybe because they all deserved it."
This shocked the crowd before he realized his mistake.
"Uh...That came out...Wrong?"
People booed and started throwing thing at him.
"And the idiot dug himself in." Sean said as they walked off.
Arriving at the police station to see how things worked Sean saw there were no droids.
"Where are the police droids?" Sean asked.
"I don't need that junk in my station."
Sean turned seeing a woman in her 50's frowning at him.
"Who are you?" Sean asked.
"Her name is Lin Beifong." Jinora said.
"Another one huh?" Sean asked.
"Another what?" Lin asked.
"Does the name Suyin ring a bell?" Sean asked making her eyes widen.
"How do you know my sister?" Lin asked.
"Sister? She never mentioned she had a sister. Suyin is the Senator for Earth." Sean said.
"Oh thats just perfect. Let a criminal be a senator for a group of Criminals." Lin said.
"Excuse me?" Sean asked frowning at her.
"This whole Legion thing is run by nothing but Vigilantes. Thats all you Jedi are. Especially you. Then again what would I expect from the son of a warmonger." Lin said before Sean's lightsaber was at her neck shocking her.
"Do not call my father that if you wanna live." Sean said deactivating it. "Now I see why she never mentioned you. Probably think your always in the right to do whatever you want and think low of those you don't understand or know. The worse kind of officer." Sean said making her glare.
"I want you off Earth. And take that...Thing with you." Lin said glaring at his daughter.
SMACK!
Lin gasped as Sean smacked her in the face.
"You wanna repeat that." Sean said as the room shook violently.
"Easy Sean." Jinora said.
"Thats enough." Tenzin said walking in. "Lin we talked about this." Tenzin said.
"No you talked. I won't have Vigilantes in my city." Lin said.
"We are not Vigilantes." Sean said.
"Says the man who disbanded a legitimate government." Lin said.
"We disbanded the Republic because it was compromised because of Palpatine being a Sith Lord. The Republic was flawed and needed to be abandoned for something new and better. And thats exactly what we did. The Legion actually gets results because we don't debate we act. The End of the Hutts was solid proof of this." Sean said.
"I don't care. Get out of my city." Sean said.
"Or what? You'll arrest a government official? Yeah that will make you famous for being an idiot unlike your sister." Sean said making her seethe.
"Enough." Tenzin said as Sean and Jinora left. "Lin." Tenzin said sternly making her look away. "Do not try anything while they are here. I am warning you. You do not have authority to do as you please. Do so and you will suspended." Tenzin said leaving making her growl.
Later
"What was that all about?" Sean asked Tenzin annoyed.
"I'm truly sorry about that. Lin doesn't have a good view of the Jedi since in her mind she considers you Vigilantes. Despite the fact is The Jedi worked with the Republic and the Legion. But she just doesn't see it that way." Tenzin said.
"She's not gonna try anything is she?" Venelana asked as she rocked Junior to sleep as Korra held her daughter.
"Not if she wants to lose her job. I warned her before hand she can't just do as she pleases." Tenzin said.
"Hmph." Sean said as Bastila reached for her father making him smile as he picked her up.
"So what now?" Korra asked.
"We'll focus on your spiritual training. Since you've already connected to one of your past lives 3 years ago your on the right track. But I also want to see how your Airbending has come in your time with the Jedi." Tenzin said.
"I think it's clear it's come a long way since if Jinora is already an Airbending master." Sean said making her blush lightly.
"True." Tenzin said.
After that Sean was outside looking at the stars.
"Beautiful isn't it?" Oola asked.
"oh yeah. You know on this world man always looked to the stars wondering what lies beyond this world. Now they know." Sean said before a starfighter flew at the island before landing.
"Uh oh. It's her." Oola said amused.
"Oh boy." Sean said as a woman with Dark skin with grey hair and brown eyes came out. She also had a tail and wolf like ears on her head and had a large amount of muscle on her that rivaled his own.
"Sean." She said angrily making him chuckle nervously.
"Hello, Ghislaine." Sean said as she walked to him. "Oh boy." Sean said before she punched him in the stomach making him groan but healed instantly.
"Here we go again." Korra said amused.
"Ok I deserve that." Sean said.
"I'm your body guard hired by your father and your girlfriend and you just left!" Ghislaine asked.
"Sorry. We were in a hurry and I forgot." Sean said making her scoff.
"Oh sure like your forgot Ann. Your own personal doctor. Lucky for you she's more forgiving than me. Don't do that again." Ghislaine said.
"Yes dear." Sean said as she walked off.
"I still like her." Korra said.
"Of course you would. She's a muscle head like you are." Oola said as Korra flexed her own muscles. Not as big as Sean's or hers but big nonetheless.
"What is she?" Jinora asked.
"Her species are called Battle beasts on a planet in the far outer Rim. Their a warrior like species and are known for enhanced strength and scent. Hence why my dad hired her 2 years ago which evolved into a relationship." Sean said.
"Oh." Jinora said.
"WHO YOU CALLING DOG GIRL BRAT!" Ghislaine yelled chasing Meelo making them laugh.
"Not mention they got really bad tempers." Sean said as they walked inside.
Meanwhile
On the Radio an announcment about Sean and Korra's arrival was made before someone turned it off.
"Amon, how do you wanna handle this?"
In front of a map was a man in a mask.
"So the Avatar has arrived early. And so has the Jedi. We'll need to change our plans." Amon said.
Authors Note: Well that was eventful. Next Chapter we get into the Pro Bending Leagues. I have some surprises in store for everyone here. Some that will make this more interesting. And the bug is still around but people are reporting it so it should be fixed at some point But until then I'm not gonna update until it's fixed because this is getting annoying.
