Jaune Arc: Gamer Chapter 2, a rwby fanfic

It's been a week since Jaune became The Broken Gamer.

A week of experimenting with his new ability has shown that his Gamer ability was different from the comic he has…had. The book disappeared.

Now, Jaune used the ability of Instant Dungeon Zombie to train, but he found out that he didn't level up no matter how many zombies he killed. However, he saw a rapid increase in his skills whenever he killed a zombie.

Then, it evolved to…

After that, Jaune was surprised as it again evolved into [Sword Intent].

[Sword Intent {Max} – One who has comprehended the first level of -Sword- will gain Sword Intent. This will allow you to send your Sword Intent to confuse your opponent or use Sword Light, a projectile being hurled using Sword Intent in a straight line]

This ability made Jaune laugh hard. It was insane, to say the least. But reading the description, he realized that are other levels to it. Thus, he strived to unlock the other levels.

The evolution of it is…

[Sword Heart {Max} – One who can comprehend the second level of -Sword- will gain Sword Heart. This will allow simple Sword movement to be a technique. Allows the user's movement with a Sword to become a technique no matter how simplistic]

Plus, another thing Jaune was able to learn from his experiment is that fact that with intense physical training, he could get stronger. It was quite jarring to figure out since the stats was increasing ever so slowly.

Why? Jaune asked that time. It took a while to figure out, but he figured it out.

The number 1 in his stats does not work the same way as a game. No, the number one meant that he had the strength of a single grown adult.

Funny really. Because it would mean that he has magic that is equal to five grown adults.

Another thing one needs to know is that the Broken Gamer's comparison isn't from a modern adult, but an adult from a time long forgotten. At least it was what the Gamer said when he figured out how the stats work. He didn't know what it meant, but he intends to find out one day. For now, he needs the strength to protect himself and the people he holds dear.

All this, Jaune accomplished in a week.

That is how broken his Gamer ability is.

But that was not the end of it.

Jaune wanted to know if he could use skill books. He went to the family library to search for books that could be used. He took as many martial arts books as he could. This included Karate, Taekwondo, Jujitsu, etc.

However, Jaune was disappointed. He couldn't turn the books into skills like in the comic.

Unfortunately, Jaune was a man that is not easily swayed. He continued to check other martial arts.

But no matter what Jaune did, no martial arts book was able to become a skill book.

At first, Jaune thought that the ability may not have been available to his Broken Gamer ability, but when he took hold of a comic book that he wanted to read, another comic book that he knew he never brought, a pop-up appeared before him.

Jaune stared at the pop-up with a face of glee. He could not use a normal Martial Arts Book, but he can extract one from his comics. That was even better than the original skill book ability. He was excited to see what he could do.

Looking at the pop-up, Jaune was contemplating what skills he wanted to extract. It seems that all shown martial arts in the comic are extractable. It was a shame that he could not take out the items within.

Jaune stared at the skills and made his choice.

"When I read the book, I always thought that Jin Mori was so cool with his Re-Taekwondo. Especially after he was able to use the Recoilless. I mean, even a normal person like Jin Tae Jin without the help of Charyeok, was able to obliterate a mountain! I am so going to pick that!" said Jaune. He thought the other martial arts in God of High School are all cool, but nothing beats Re-Taekwondo in his eyes.

"Well, this is surprising," said Jaune. He had one of his eyebrows raised.

"I thought that it would be {Max} like my other skill. Then again, I did start at the bottom when I started using a rusty sword that a zombie dropped. Maybe it would only be maxed out when it comes to magic. I mean, Instant Dungeon should be considered magic, right? Whatever! No Pain! No Gain! Let's grind!" said Jaune.

Two years later…

Jaune was inside a bullhead heading to Beacon Academy.

It was a hard two years for Jaune. Every day he would grind and grind within the dungeon he would create. Nevertheless, not a single second of it was boring for him as he nearly died countless times.

For the past two years, Jaune has been trying to figure out where the comics he was reading came from. They were a good read, but that's not the reason why Jaune was trying to figure out their origin.

Each comic book that he had no idea where it came from was an item meant to be used with The Gamer's ability.

For example, there was a book called Fate/Stay Night. It was a book that he could use to extract skills from or a book he could use to create an Instant Dungeon.

That's right, Jaune was able to create an Instant Dungeon for the Type-Moon universe. It was quite baffling for him. Especially when he found out that the world does not reset when he uses [Escape Instant Dungeon – {Max}]. Everyone he met inside would recognize him once he uses [Create Instant Dungeon – {Max}].

Jaune didn't mind it as he was able to make friends with the people inside. There was even a girl name Rin Tohsaka he found cute. She was what some of his books called a Tsundere. Jaune would tease Rin about it whenever they met.

Everything that happened at Type-Moon would be a story for later.

For now, it is about Jaune and his initiation to Beacon.

While waiting for the Bullhead to touch down, Jaune accessed his status screen.

[Sense Danger – {Max}: A natural survival instinct. It allows the user to sense when something bad might happen. The higher the skill level, the earlier the user can sense danger. Due to growing up with seven sisters, you have gained the ability to sense when you are in danger]

[Househusbands of the Abyss – {Max}: Every house-related activity is increased by 10x. This includes cleaning, cooking, laundry washing, tutoring, intercourse, etc.]

[Artist of the Abyss – {Max}: Due to being subjected to dancing, acting, singing, and other performing art and creative art since young, you have mastered Art to the max. None can say they are number one before you]

[Create Instant Dungeon – {Max}: Used to create Instant Dungeons. Stronger Instant Dungeons may be created according to level. Max indicates that any Instant Dungeon may be created according to the user's whim]

[Escape Instant Dungeon – {Max}: Used to escape Instant Dungeons. Max allows the ability to be used without fail, and the bonus of being used against ensnaring techniques such as Capture Domes, Rope Bind, Lightning Bind, etc.]

[Sword Domain {Max} - One who has comprehended the third level of -Sword- will gain Sword Domain. This will allow you to create a Domain. Within this Domain, you can cut/hit anywhere without even moving so long as they are inside. Distance is equal to the Mana amount. 1 Unit of Mana is 1 meter]

[Re-Taekwondo – {Max}: A powerful Martial Art that is emphasized in strong kicks but is not limited to it. A skill extracted from a comic book known as God of High School through the usage of The Gamer. The comic book acted as a Skill Book. Max indicates the complete usage of Re-Taekwondo and its Recoilless Variant]

[Elemental Magic – {Max} – Elemental Magic allows the user to convert their magic power into a variety of different elements or control and manipulate an already existing element]

[Sealing Magic – {Max} – A type of magic used for restricting and halting other beings and items or even imprisonment. This method was commonly used for sealing away the souls of creatures within certain items. This magic allows one to seal special powers, items, and living beings, such as being able to restrict their target's movement and unseal items]

[Healing Magic {Max} – As its name suggests, this allows one to the heal wounds of themselves or others as such it is limited to support rather than offense]

[Flight – {Max} – The ability to move freely within the air. The speed of flight is indicated by the amount of Mana used per second. 1 unit of Mana per second is equal to 1 mile per hour]

[Immense Resistance – {Max} – Multiple different types of resistance, whether it be to poison, pain, mental, etc…]

[Pressure – {Max} – By using the immense amount of power of the user, he could use his powerful aura to pressure people. By doing so, it eliminates challengers that aren't worthy to fight the user]

[Universal Language – {Max} – Anyone who hears the user will hear him speak their native language in their hearts. This ability also allows the user to read, write and speak in any language]

[Divine Smithing – {Max} – The ability to create weapons with abilities that transcend Mortal understanding. This includes Metal Working, Wood Working, Engineering, etc…]

[Riding – {Max} – The ability to ride any form of mount instinctually. Whether it be a modern vehicle such as a Car or a Mystical beast such as a Dragon]

[Kidō – {Max} – A skill extracted from a comic book known as Bleach through the usage of The Gamer. The comic book acted as a Skill Book. It is a form of Shinigami combat based on advanced spells. These spells are produced with strong Reiryoku/Mana and fall into three categories: Hadō for direct attacks, Bakudō for battle support, and Kaidō for healing. Kidō is one of the techniques in the Zankensoki, the group of Shinigami primary combat skills. Kidō spells are triggered by an incantation. {Max} means the user has access to all known Kidō spells and can trigger the Kidō without an incantation]

Jaune stared at his status and sighed. For his secondary title, he was hoping to get something like Hero, or even Saviour after helping the Type-Moon world during the incineration of humanity. But instead, he got [Tiamat's Mate].

Jaune was not complaining much since it is a powerful title.

For one, with it, Jaune can summon Tiamat to his side at any time. Secondly, he can gain the ability of Tiamat to create Laḫmu. They have overpowered beings that have the power of Demon Gods. They were a great help when needed. Too bad they can't be added to the Gamer as a party member. It was such a shame as they don't cause an item to drop when they kill. Only people added as a part could cause an item to drop. A limitation? Sure, but it's fine. He can invite people to his part when he trusts them enough.

Funnily, the Gamer ability would function the same way as the comic for other people that are added to the party. Only he, Jaune Arc was a Broken Gamer.

While minding his own business, Jaune felt that someone hit him…No, that was not right.

Someone bumped into him.

"Ow!" said the person that bumped into Jaune.

Looking at the person that bumped into him, Jaune saw a fair-skinned young girl with silver eyes and neck-length black hair with red tips. She was wearing a black long-sleeved blouse with a high collar and red trim on the sleeves, over which is a black waist cincher with red lacing up the front, and a matching skirt with red lining. She also wears a pair of thick black stockings and black combat boots with red laces, red trims around the top, and red soles. Her outfit is topped by a red hooded cloak fastened to her shoulders by cross-shaped pins. Her emblem appears as a large silver buckle on her wide black belt, which is slung around her hips at an angle. Attached to her belt are a pocket and a row of bullets.

Jaune thought the girl was pretty cute but quite young to be at Beacon. Thinking for a bit, he was impressed. If she was here, then she must be quite a fighter. He extended a hand to help her up.

"Need a hand?" asked Jaune. He brought his hand forward for the girl to use as support to get up.

"T-Thanks! And I'm sorry for bumping into you. Although I thought I hit a wall, you didn't even move a millimeter. You must be quite strong," said the girl. She dusted herself before speaking once more.

"Name's Ruby Rose," said Ruby. She brought her hand out for a handshake.

"Jaune Arc. Short, sweet, rolls of the tongue, and ladies love it," said Jaune. He then smiled at her that she would never forget.

"Oh! He's so handsome! Okay, Ruby! Don't mess this up," thought Ruby. She was trying to calm herself down to stop herself from becoming a blushing mess, but to no avail.

"Hmm…? Are you okay? Your face is quite red. Do you have a fever?" asked Jaune. He then touched Ruby's forehead.

This proved to be too much for the young Rose as she passed out.

As Ruby fell due to unconsciousness, Jaune caught her to make sure that she would not hurt herself.

However, this is not what it looked like to the girl's older sister. She fumed when she thought that Jaune was trying something nefarious against Ruby.

What did the girl's older sister do?

Why she tried to attack Jaune, of course!

The older sister tried to punch Jaune and take back Ruby, but to no avail, as Jaune would disappear and reappear somewhere close by. It was quite jarring for her.

"Stay still! And let me hit you!" shouted the girl. She continued to through a punch at Jaune.

"Why would I do that? I mean, you won't do much against me, but I still don't like getting hit," said Jaune. He shivered at the thought of being hit. He became cocky once and it nearly cost him. Never again.

"Because you are trying to kidnap my sister! So let me hit you!" said the girl. She was furious. She can't. She can't fail to protect Ruby when she promised her father that she would keep her safe.

"Oh! I think there is a misunderstanding here. I was not trying to do anything to Ruby. I merely caught her when she passed out for an unknown reason," said Jaune.

"Eh?" said the girl. She stopped her assault and looked at the man. He was quite dashing. Her thoughts were straying. So, she shook herself off her current thoughts.

"Did you say that Ruby passed out?" asked the girl.

"Yeah! I was only talking to her after she bumped into me. She stared at me for a few seconds, her face turned red, and I asked her if she was sick. She didn't reply and proceeded to pass out," said Jaune. He tried to explain the situation the best he can.

The girls seemed to be embarrassed now. Her face had a look of shame for trying to attack a person trying to help her sister.

"Um…Sorry about the trying to hit you bit. Although, I failed to land a single hit. I think I might need more training, then maybe I might be able to beat you. Oh! By the way, the name is Yang Xiao Long." said Yang. She had a confident smile on her face.

"You have a Xiao Long way to go if you want to beat me," said Jaune. He laughed at his pun.

"Pfft! That was quite good," said Yang. Handsome? Check! Punny? Check! She was now checking Jaune out.

"The name is Jaune Arc. Short, Sweet, rolls of the tongue, and ladies love it," said Jaune. Same with Ruby, he gave Yang a lovely smile.

Yang looking at Jaune blushed. Then it dawned on her.

"Oh! I know why Ruby passed out now," sighed Yang. She remembered seeing Jaune smile at her younger sister before the entire debacle.

Jaune continued to speak with Yang. It didn't take long for Ruby to awaken from her slumber.

The trio continued to get to know each other. Jaune thought they were quite cool. Ruby even had a Sniper-Scythe. He even offered to upgrade the weapon, but Ruby declined. Such a shame, if she accepted, he could have turned it into a Magic Sniper-Scythe. Such a shame.
