Fear will grip the heart
"I dunno man...this seems like a bad idea, I mean...what if it's like protected by the league or something? We could get in big trouble for messing with it"
"Oh don be such a baby...you see any sign say DO NOT TOUCH? No? Then grow up and stop whining...I wanna see what this green slab is"
The two teens were part of the Paldean school and were out doing a project on the landscape around Casseroya lake and while exploring the lake side cliffs, the two had stumbled upon a glowing green slab.
"seriously...I don't think we should mess with it, I got a bad feeling man"
"for the last time...stop whining, this could be big, we could get a great score for discovering something like this...or maybe even get an award, come here and help me get a brushing of these symbols here"
As the teens approached the green slab, Wo-chien sat on the side of the nearby mountain watching the pitiful humans with contempt. They dared to even be near his brother? They dared to ignore the fear that would permeate the air? Their transgressions would not go unpunished. The dark grass type narrowed its eyes before several vines shot out from the ground and pulled several bombirdiers whom were going to attack the ruinous pokemon into the cliff. The pokemon were determined to stop it...but like a wave against a mountain, they would always break
be a bit more patient Ting-lu...the seal will be broken and then the world will know true fear again
Wo-chien then started making his way down the side of the mountain, ignoring the pained sounds of the dark flying types being pulled into the mountain by Wo-chien's thorny vines. It had to get to the seal before the humans did something wrong
The two teens slowly approached the green slab of stone...it almost seemed mystical, like something out of an adventure movie.
"what if it's like a gateway to treasure or...or even like a burial chamber? The history teacher would go nuts!"
"dude...I really don't think this is a good idea...whenever someone messes with something like this, it always goes badly, I mean...ever see the mummy?"
"oh come on...you know that's just a story...if anything bad were to happen, it'd have happened right n-"
There was a thud...a heavy thud that echoed through the area...and it came from the slab that the second boy had just touched. Both of the teens staring at the green slab...one with curiosity and the other with mild fear.
"what...was that?"
"I dunno, cmon let's get outta here"
"no...that proves something is there, maybe a pokemon?"
"who cares?! Listen I got a really really bad feeling about this, let's book it back to the school and just say we didn't find anything"
"hey, you can take a failing grade if ya want...I aint gonna slide like that"
you should heed your friend's words
The second boy paused...that voice was not his friend's...and it felt like a thousand needles piercing his heart. Turning, the second teen beheld something that would only be described in nightmares. A pokemon, similar in shape to a macargo, but bigger...and a grass type...at least he thought it was...and it had crucified his friend to a nearby tree with vines and branches
"W-w...w-what ar...are you?"
Resentment...a lust for revenge for a lack of justice...but you may call me Wo-chien
The boy stared at the pokemon and then his friend before reaching for his pokeballs
you wish to stop me?
"go meowscarada!"
The magician cat pokemon gracefully and calmly appeared before narrowing its eyes at the tablets of resentment
Hmmm...humans still hold onto the belief that they are untouchable...how disappointing
"Meowscarada, flower trick!"
The dark grass cat smirked, twirled and the next thing Wo-chien saw was a bright flash and an explosion
"heh...you talk big, but words are just wo-"
indeed?
The teen and meowscarada were left stunned as the smoke cleared and Wo-chien stood unphased...a few scorch marks, but the tablets of ruin were mostly unharmed
"impossible...flower trick again!"
Though this time the meowscarada couldn't pull of its signature move...vines had trapped the cat's arms and then more lashed out and trapped the boy's arms as well
"gah..w-what are...lemme go!"
you lack fear... vital emotion to survival...when one feels fear, they naturally retreat...you do not feel fear and thus lead yourself into darkness...allow me to remind you of what fear is
The tablets of ruin slowly approached the glowing slab of stone before placing a vine upon it and uttering strange words in a language that the trapped boy couldn't understand...and then to his horror, the slab shattered...and then there was a thudding...heavy thudding as if something extremely heavy was moving
my brother...Ting-lu...after so many centuries, the vessel of fear
The boy's eyes widened as a beast of stone and rock with a cracked bowl atop its head slowly exited the cave that was revealed
{{Wo-Chien! It has been so long...}}
it has my brother, it warms my soul to see you again
{{How goes the battle against the human king?! Are we victorious and brought ruin to this world?!}}
yes...and no
The vessel of fear stared at its sibling, yes and no? Ting-lu adored its older brother, but it was very hard to understand its intentions sometimes
it is a new era...new humans...new contempt...new lack of respecting us
{{they have not learned their place?}}
unfortunately they have not...centuries of time and they have not learned
{{Then let me remind them of the fear that once tore this land apart!}}
as you wish dear brother
The two trapped boys watched as the stone beast approached them both
{{Be proud young humans...you will be the first to feel true terror once again!}}
And with that, Ting-lu struck his head into the ground, shaking the entire area and causing the mountain to suddenly rumble and crack before Wo-chien and Ting-lu turned to leave...a small smile gracing Ting-lu's features as the avalanche buried the two boys and the meowscarada under a pile of rock and rubble
