Ruby and Yang, alongside several other students, walk out of the ship and head down the paved path to the front of the school.

Jaune was not with them Yang asked him if he could speak to her sister alone for a little while. So, he decided to go near the edge of Beacon to have a better look at the forest on one side and Vale on the other.

The scenery is beautiful and there was nothing he can say that would describe its beauty.

However, as Jaune was admiring the beautiful scenery, he heard a boom not too far from him.

Looking at where it came from, Jaune saw Ruby and another girl with soot all over them.

From a simple observation, Jaune figured the explosion was caused by one of the two girls. And a bit more observation told him that the explosion was caused by Ruby as he could see her apologizing.

"Ugh, you complete dolt! What are you even doing here? Aren't you a little young to be attending Beacon?" said the girl. Her annoyance was evident. No indication of hiding it.

"Well, I-I..." Ruby could not give a proper response due to her social ineptitude.

"This isn't your ordinary combat school. It's not just sparring and practice, you know! We're here to fight monsters, so... watch where you're going!" said the girl. She was fuming.

Jaune rolled his eyes as he approached the two girls.

"That's enough from you," said Jaune. He may have only met Ruby today, but he considers her a friend.

"She already apologized for the accident. Plus, from a simple observation, I can tell that none of this would have happened if you only secured the Dust you have with you properly. If you did that, a single hit of your bag would not have caused them to fall out," said Jaune. He scuffed. The little girl wanted to make Ruby speechless, then he would make her as well.

"I…I…," said the girl. It was true. She thought about it for a bit and realized that she may not have secured her things properly.

"Hmph! If she did not trip on my bags, then none of this would have happened!" said the girl.

"That may be true, but if your things were not in the way of the walking path, then she wouldn't have tripped on them. Maybe next time move your things out of the way. Also, the luggage isn't meant to be brought by students personally. The message sent by Beacon made it clear that they needed to be sent to a specific area to make sure the walking path don't get blocked," said Jaune. He read the message and warnings given by Beacon.

The girl huffed and she decided to leave.

Jaune turned to Ruby and spoke.

"Are you okay, Ruby?" asked Jaune. He saw how she was struggling with the situation.

"I am now. Thanks, Jaune. No matter how I apologized, she just keeps berating me repeatedly. I didn't know what to do. I just wanted to dig a hole and hide in it," said Ruby. She then dropped herself to the ground.

Jaune sighed and smile at her. He helped her up after she was feeling better.

"By the way, where is Yang?" asked Jaune. If Yang was here, she wouldn't have allowed Ruby to be treated that way.

"She left! She told me that I needed to make friends and then left with her gang from Signal Academy! Ugh! I am so going to get Yang back for this!" said Ruby. She was already making plans to change Yang's shampoo with hair dye without being noticed. She would then pin it on the mean girl.

"Well, then let me accompany you, My Fair Lady," said Jaune. He bowed to her and offered his hand.

Ruby blushed at Jaune's action and his calling her his fair lady. She took his hand, nonetheless.

The two headed to the auditorium where every new prospective student are meant to gather, arm linked together.

Once Jaune and Ruby arrived in the auditorium, Yang saw them, and she signaled to them.

"Ruby! Jaune! Over here! I saved you guys a spot!" shouted Yang. She had to or she wouldn't have been heard over the noise at the auditorium.

Jaune and Ruby approached Yang.

"Wow, sis. You work fast," said Yang. She was teasing Ruby, but there was a slight hint of jealousy in her voice. No one was able to detect it, not even herself.

"What are you talking about, Yang?" asked Ruby. She didn't understand what her sister was implying.

Yang didn't say anything and only gestured to Ruby and Jaune being linked arm-in-arm.

"Guh!" said Ruby. She moved away from Jaune in embarrassment.

"He-he-he! I see you're finally getting out of your shell," said Yang. She was smirking at her sister.

"Yang! Stop embarrassing me!" said Ruby. She couldn't believe that her sister was embarrassing her in front of Jaune!

As Jaune watched the sisters bicker playfully, the Headmaster and the Deputy Headmistress got on stage.

"I'll... keep this brief. You have traveled here today in search of knowledge. To hone your craft and acquire new skills. And when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But I look amongst you, and all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose, direction," said Ozpin, the Headmaster. He looked at the students and saw Jaune, eating a myriad of different things, that he seemed to take out of nowhere. He shook his head and decided to continue.

"You assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step," said Ozpin. He was about to step out off the stage, but nearly trip when he saw Jaune take a roasted whole chicken and devour it like nothing.

Glynda looked at Ozpin with a baffled look. She has never seen him act that way. She shook her head and took the stage and spoke.

"You will gather in the ballroom tonight. Tomorrow, your initiation begins. Be ready. You are dismissed," said Glynda, the deputy Headmistress. Looking at the students, she now knows why Ozpin nearly tripped. In the crowd of students was a blonde-haired boy eating a myriad of food out of nowhere.

It was not only Glynda and Ozpin that was surprised at Jaune's action. Yang and Ruby were as well. They didn't know how Jaune was taking food out of nowhere.

Yang believed that it was his semblance.

As for Ruby, she was thinking of asking Jaune if he had cookies.

"Hmm? You want some, Ruby?" asked Jaune. He offered the food in his hand, which was a lump of meat in a stick. Having the Gamer's Body, he no longer had to worry about his weight. Eating a myriad of food was something that he loved to do.

"Uhm…? Do you have a cookie?" asked Ruby.

"Here you go," said Jaune. He made a cookie appear out of thin air. Of course, cookies are best with a cold glass of milk, which he took out alongside the cookies.

Ruby took the milk and cookies and ate them.

"These are delicious! Do you have more?" asked Ruby. She wanted more air cookies!

"Here, I have plenty," said Jaune. Unlike others that may use the inventory in a more practical way such as filling it with things he may need, Jaune did as well, but they are only secondary items. The primary is food. He has a boatload.

Whilst Jaune and Ruby ate, they heard a stomach rumble.

"Do you want some as well?" asked Jaune.

"If you don't mind," said Yang. Looking at Jaune and Ruby made her hungry. And they made the food they ate look really good. And the smell! It smelled divine!

The smell alone had the entire auditorium of people hungry. Alas, they will find out that the food they would eat will not be able to properly quell their hunger. At least not with the little amount they would be eating.
