It was now time for class…
Jaune was not one to be known for being tardy. He liked being on time.
As a good friend, Jaune was going to remind RWBY that they had classes at nine, but he heard weird noises from their dorm and decided that he didn't want to be part of it.
So? Jaune headed to class with his team in tow, along with Tiamat, she was curious about the world she found herself in.
Plus, Tiamat was planning to spend time with Jaune either way.
Hmph! She was not going to be one-upped by the others.
In the classroom, Jaune and his team sat down in the front row.
"Monsters! Demons... Prowlers of the night! Yes, the creatures of Grimm have many names, but I merely refer to them as prey! Ha-ha!" said Port. He looked at Tiamat for a second, but he was forced to look away. The woman scared the shit out of him. He didn't even know why. He had done nothing. All he was thinking about was asking her who she was and why she was in his class as she was not a student.
At this instant, RWBY entered the class sweating from running from the dorm to their class.
"Ah! Team RWBY. Late for your first day…I would give you detention for being late, but it is the first day. So, I will be lenient and let you off the hook, but don't expect to have such treatment again in the future," said Port. He was stern with team RWBY.
"Understood, professor!" said team RWBY.
Yang, Blake, and Ruby had no qualms about being late. Weiss, however, was quite vexed, especially since their lateness was caused by her so-called leader.
"Tsk! How is she leader material? She couldn't even remember the time of our first class on the first day. None of us would be late if we didn't make those atrocious bunk beds," thought Weiss. She then thought a bit more.
"I mean, I've always wanted a bunk bed…So, I can't blame that…Oh! I know! If Ruby did not insist on making the bunk beds right away then we wouldn't have been late!" thought Weiss. She was fuming.
"Now, as I was saying: Vale, as well as the other three kingdoms, are safe havens in an otherwise treacherous world! Our planet is teeming with creatures that would love nothing more than to tear you to pieces! And that's where we come in. Huntsmen! Huntresses! Individuals who have sworn to protect those who cannot protect themselves! From what, you ask? Why, the very world! That is what you are training to become. But first: A story. A tale of a young, handsome man... Me! When I was a boy..." said Port. He was being dramatic, but it gave the speech the pizzazz it needed.
Many students who listened to Port rumble were getting bored and falling asleep, but Jaune wasn't.
Why? Because he understood the purpose of the story.
Port was teaching the student to learn how to get good information on crappy intel.
The story was horrendous, but if one listens closely, one can understand that each story had an underlining meaning. One of the stories told about the pack mentality of Beowolves. One of the stories told the weakness of a Boarbatusk. One story told there are more important things to eliminating Grimm such as concentrating on getting the civilians to safety first as the mission is pointless if the people were dead.
What would be the point of continuing to eliminate a Grimm in an area that had no one? There isn't. That's why is important to prioritize the people over eliminating Grimm.
"In the end, the Beowolf was no match for my sheer tenacity, and I returned to my village with the beast in captivity and my head held high, celebrated as a hero! The moral of this story? A true Huntsman must be honorable! A true Huntsman must be dependable! A true Huntsman must be strategic, well-educated, and wise!" said Port. He emphasized what one needs to become a Huntsman or Huntress. Why? Because he can see that many did not embody the traits he listed out.
Looking around, Port then continued speaking.
"So, who among you believes themselves to be the embodiment of these traits?" asked Port. He looked at multiple people that he believe embodied none of the traits that he listed out.
"I do! Sir!" shouted Weiss. She was one of the people that Port was looking at.
"Well, then, let's find out! Step forward and face your opponent!" said Port. However, he saw Weiss head to the lockers. This caused him to shake his head. Being dependable means you are always ready. How can people depend on you if you needed to take time to get your gear and change into it? The people who depended on the Huntsman or Huntress would be dead before one is finished changing to their combat suit.
…
Weiss Schnee, now back in the classroom with her combat attire, readying her Myrtenaster at the growling creature in the cage. Her teammates cheer her on from their seats in the front row.
"Go! Weiss!" cheered Yang.
"Fight well!" said Blake. Her tone was monotone.
"Yeah! Represent Team RWBY!" shouted Ruby. She was excited.
"Ruby! I'm trying to focus!" said Weiss. Hearing Ruby's voice irritated her.
"Alright! the match... begin!" shouted Port.
Port swung down his axe and breaks the lock, dropping the cage door and revealing the Boarbatusk inside, which immediately charges at Weiss.
Weiss used Myrtenaster to deflect its attack and roll to the side, readying herself for its next move.
The Boarbatusk stands a distance away from Weiss, studying her. This shows that Grimm is not simply a mindless creature. Low intelligence? Sure! But not mindless.
"Ha-ha! Wasn't expecting that, were you?" asked Port. Not many Huntsman and Huntress knew the truth about the Grimm.
"Hang in there, Weiss!" shouted Ruby. She was supporting her partner, but this is not how Weiss saw it.
Weiss is now speeding towards the oncoming Boarbatusk, sticking her blade straight at its skull until they meet and Myrtenaster is trapped in the beast's tusks.
Weiss is still hanging on to the hilt of Myrtenaster and is tossed around as she struggles to get the rapier back.
"Bold, new approach. I like it!" mocked Port. Although that's not what it sounded like to others.
"Come on, Weiss, show it who's boss!" shouted Ruby.
Weiss turns to glare at Ruby, only for the Boarbatusk to turn its head and rip the sword from her grip. Myrtenaster lands far away from its master, who is knocked back by the creature's tusks.
"Oh-ho! Now what will you do without your weapon?" asked Port. He knew that many students become useless without their fancy Mechashift weapon…sans a few.
Weiss looked up just in time to see the Boarbatusk charge again, rolling out of the way just in time to avoid getting trampled and making it crash into a desk.
Weiss rushes at her sword and slides to get it back in her hand.
"Weiss! Go for its belly! There's no armor underneath!" shouted Ruby.
Jaune looked at Ruby. He smiled at her. It seems that Ruby was able to get the underlying meaning of the stories that Port was telling. Goes to show that she was indeed a Leader material.
"Stop telling me what to do!" shouted Weiss. She hit her boiling point.
Jaune looked at Weiss and shook his head. It was no wonder Ozpin did not pick her. She was quick to anger and believes herself entitled to the position of leader just because she was taught to be one.
Ruby looks hurt at Weiss' rebuttal.
Meanwhile, the Boarbatusk leaps into the air and rolls into a ball, spinning rapidly in the air and landing on the ground, consistently gaining speed until it launches itself at Weiss. It comes closer and closer, but Weiss activates one of her blue-white circles and blocks the roll, leaping up into the now-black snowflake symbol and turning it blue again so she can drive the blade into the Boarbatusk's stomach. It squeals and falls silent while Weiss gasps in relief.
"Bravo! Bra-vo! It appears we are indeed in the presence of a true Huntress-in-training!" said Port.
Weiss looked proud of herself.
Jaune laughed out loud when he heard Port.
"Ha-ha-ha! I can't believe you are proud of how you fought that Boarbatusk. I can count ten instances in which you could have eliminated the Grimm. Instead, you decided to dance around and go for weak strikes which is a mistake. If this was a real situation where there are many Grimm in the area, you would fall rather quickly due to wasting energy. Also, if you listened to Ruby's advice of going for the belly, you would have had a direction on how to quickly kill the Grimm, but you didn't," said Jaune.
"Oh-ho! This is interesting. Do you mind explaining to the class what you mean by not wasting energy, Mr. Arc?" said Port. Truly, he saw a true Huntsman in Jaune.
Jaune went on to explain why conserving one's energy is important. He told about how one might fight Grimm for extended periods and other examples.
"Bravo! Mr. Arc! Bravo! And well said," said Port in approval. No wonder why Ozpin allowed him to enter Beacon without the proper transcript.
The bell then rang to indicate that the first class of the day was over.
…
As the school ended for the day, Jaune decided it was the right time to head to the headmaster's office. He did want to have permission to set up one of his tiny houses at Beacon. So, he said told his team that he would meet them at their dorm.
As Jaune headed to Ozpin's office, he was bored as the elevator ride to the top of Beacon was taking quite some time.
A few moments later, Jaune arrived at Ozpin's office.
Ozpin saw Jaune enter his office and greeted him.
"Mr. Arc? What do I owe the pleasure of your visit?" said Ozpin. He looked at Jaune for a moment, then he looked to the side of Jaune and saw a female…that…was…giving off the feeling that he felt last night.
Ozpin dropped his mug in shock. He was already surprised at his capability of Jaune during initiation.
But now? The young man had a Goddess by his side!
Ozpin was trying to keep his cool. He was trying…but failed.
Sweat was dripping from Ozpin's head. Trying to remain calm was exhausting him.
"Oh? What's wrong Ozma? Afraid of her?" asked Jaune. Of course, he knew who Ozpin was. His real name was listed on top of his head.
Ozpin became wide-eyed at what he heard.
"H-How do you know of my original name? There is only one person that should be aware of it," said Ozpin. He took a stance and was ready to fight Jaune. However, his chances of winning were nil.
"Come down, old man. I can discern the real name of people no matter how much they wish to hide…or you know, someone like you," said Jaune. He hinted that he knew about Ozpin reincarnating.
Ozpin still has not let his guard down, but he dropped his stance.
"So, what are you here for, Mr. Arc?" asked Ozpin. He sat at his desk.
"Well, I wanted to ask you for permission to set up a place for me and my team. I'm not very comfortable with our living situation," said Jaune.
"Hmm…? Where would you set up this place?" asked Ozpin. He knew that Jaune had the means to do things that is not normal.
"Anywhere that would not obstruct the others. I do not like inconveniencing people," said Jaune. He originally wanted to place it in the Emerald Forest, but that was no longer an option. Others were staying with him.
"If that's the case, then I don't see why not. I approve of you setting up your…whatever it is you plan to set up," said Ozpin. If this was any other person, he would not approve, but he was trying to be in Jaune's good graces. It is better if he was not an enemy.
"Cool! If you need help, don't hesitate to ask even if it has to do with a magical nature. I decided to be a Huntsman because I wanted to help people, be a hero to those in need and be a Beacon of hope to does who have lost theirs," said Jaune. He smiled before he headed out of Ozpin's office.
As Jaune left, Ozpin saw many things in Jaune similar to him…or used to be him.
Ozpin leaned back on his chair and contemplated and reminisced about the old days.
…
In the Beacon Gardens, Jaune was looking for a great place to set up his 'tiny house'.
The place was beautiful and Jaune liked it. He got used to seeing many flowers and enjoying their beauty thanks to his younger sister who loves botany.
With a little magic, the plantation was excited. They swayed and followed orders from Jaune.
In no time, the Beacon gardens no longer looked as they did before.
The plantation formed a circle with pathways to the center where an empty lot for Jaune to place his tiny house.
"This would do nicely," said Jaune. He smiled and got to work.
Jaune took out the tiny house from his inventory and placed it in the center of the field.
Inside, Jaune started making the modifications that his team requested.
Pool? Check!
Training Room? Check!
Explosive Storage? Check!
Individual rooms? Check!
Meditation room? Check!
A forge? Check!
Theatre? Check!
Etc? Check, check and check!
Looking at his handy work, Jaune nodded to himself.
Looking at the time, Jaune was grinning. He was able to accomplish everything he did in a mere hour. Who could say that they could outbuild Jaune? No one. And the things he did was not normal either. Each room and other facilities were reinforced to the max.
With his work done, the only thing to do is gather his team.
…
Once Jaune was back in his dorm, he knocked just in case. The last time he didn't, he saw a fully nude Saphron and Terra who didn't seem to mind. Then again, he now knows why.
"Oh! Welcome back! Oh, fearless leader!" said Nora. She has been anticipating his return. She was excited to see all the requests she made in their glory.
"Nora…Come on. Even if Ozpin were to give Jaune permission, it would take a while to make all the things you asked for. Plus, it was just for fun last night…" said Ren, but he was cut off by a grinning Jaune.
"It's all done. I came here to tell you guys that we can move into the new place now," said Jaune. He loved seeing the face of people that are shocked when he does something abnormal.
Ren was shell-shocked. It was complete? Then Ren slapped himself. Jaune was a person that was capable of doing magic. It is highly doubtful that he wouldn't have a way to achieve things that others deemed impossible.
"We'll go grab our stuff," said Ren. He sighed and got to get his things together.
The others did as well.
In doing so, they made quite a noise. Mostly thanks to Nora and her excitement.
Due to the ruckus that was being produced by Nora, Team RWBY heard it and decided to check it out.
The moment Ruby saw Jaune and the others moving their things, she couldn't help but ask.
"Where are you guys going?" asked Ruby. She then gasped.
"You guys aren't leaving Beacon, are you? Please tell me you aren't?! I finally have a friend that isn't close to me because of Yang and now I'm going to lose him!" said Ruby. She was disgruntled.
"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Calm down, Ruby. We are leaving Beacon. We only plan to move to a different place. I asked Ozpin if I can set up a place for my team. He agreed and we are heading there. You're welcome to join us," said Jaune. He didn't mind more people living in his tiny house. He had enough room to fit everyone plus his entire family. He went overboard.
"Oh, cool! I want to see your new place," said Yang. She could agree with Jaune. The dorm was quite small. Having more space was preferable. She thought Jaune was lucky.
Blake look at Jaune and asked.
"Why did you guys decide to move to a different place? The rooms are not that bad," said Blake. Besides Yang and Weiss, the dorm was not bad.
"Oh! I think I know! It's because Fearless leader wants to bone his girlfriend!" said Nora. She had no filter when it came to such things.
"Nora!" shouted Ren. He needs to teach Nora, not to do such things.
"What? It's the truth! Look! He isn't even denying it!" said Nora. She huffed. Why was Ren reprimanding her when Jaune didn't mind? He was the one being talked about!
Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang looked at Jaune.
Ruby blushed at the thought.
Weiss huffed at the thought of others fornicating. Although she was curious about it herself.
Blake…she had thoughts.
As for Yang, she was grinning, but a part of her was jealous. She was not aware of it.
"Hah! Maybe I should dub you Lover Boy!" said Yang. She was grinning, but it was not as bright as it was before.
"Don't do that, Yang," said Jaune. He was sweating. Getting a nickname could result in a title. Such a title, he did not need. He already had a few to worry about.
Mainly the title MILF Hunter. Get interested in a woman the same age as your mother and want to hug the loneliness away from them and you get a title. One time! Then again, he did have a thing for older women. Glynda was a prime example.
Thinking about it now, the woman that caused him to receive a title sort of resembled Weiss. Same white hair and the same blue eyes. Even her facial feature resembles the woman.
Jaune shook his head and walked the others to their destination.
When they arrived in their new place, the others, mainly Weiss, had their eyes twitch.
"Huh? I thought it was going to be bigger," said Yang. She didn't even know if they can fit inside.
"Don't judge a book by its cover, Yang. Come on in and marvel at my marvelous work!" said Jaune. He pushed the door open.
As the door opened, the others were in awe at the magnificence before them.
The entrance alone was quite the sight to see.
Wiess was amazed at the artwork that was hanging on the walls. Some of them she believed might have been the family of Jaune. As for the others, there were many different styles and artistic integrity to them. But, the art, there was no denying it. There was only one person capable of painting such magnificence.
"No, way! This can't be! How!" said Weiss. She was amazed that Jaune had a family portrait painted by the greatest artist that Remnant has ever seen!
"Hmm…What are you talking about there, Weissy?" asked Yang. She was curious about what could have gotten Weiss all heated up.
"All these paintings, they were made by the greatest artist in all of Remnant! He sold a single piece of art, and everyone fought to get it! A single piece was able to net the artist a billion lien! They said that staring at the art made by him was divine. It was as if the painting was alive! And seeing these paintings? I understood what they were talking about!" said Weiss. It was like the people in the painting would move.
The feeling that Weiss was feeling was no exaggeration, but it was not Jaune's greatest work as his greatest would have turned the painting into a world of its own.
Weiss jumped onto Jaune and held him.
"H-How could you have been able to commission that artist for so many pieces?! He refused to sell more than the single piece two years ago!" said Weiss. She wanted to know, damn it!
"I didn't. I can't commission myself now, can I?" said Jaune. Truly, I tell you. He enjoys the absolute shock on people's faces.
"Y-You're the artist?!" said Weiss. She then fainted.
"Huh! Look, Weiss looked like melted snow on the ground," said Yang. She was laughing.
"But seriously, a billion lien?" asked Yang. Painting goes for such prices.
"Yup! Didn't feel like selling another one when I was offered a billion lien for the single piece that I brought out," said Jaune.
"That's cool! Weiss family has to work to the bone to get money of that level and you did it by selling a single piece of art!" said Yang.
"By the way, I've been meaning to ask this since the morning, but who is the chic?" said Yang. She pointed at Tiamat while waking Wiess from her slumber.
"She's Tiamat. I call her Tia. She's the girlfriend that Nora was talking about. Well, she is more than a girlfriend. Our bond is deeper than any marriage," said Jaune. Otherwise, he would not have gotten the title if his bond was merely similar to a marriage.
"What kind of a Faunus is she?" asked Blake. She was curious. She has never seen such Faunus before.
"She isn't. Tia is a Goddess," said Jaune. He was nonchalant about it as if it was normal to have a Goddess as a partner.
"Say what now?" said, everyone. They thought they heard wrong. Weiss only woke up and she nearly fainted once more at the news she heard. Thanks to Ruby, she didn't.
"A Goddess. That's what Tiamat is. She even has the power to create life, an ability which she shares with me thanks to our bond," said Jaune. He was capable of using Nega-Genesis as well as Tiamat's other skills.
Jaune then used this said ability. The being that Jaune created has the power of a Demon God, much like Tiamat, but their forms were different.
While Tiamat's creation had a mouth for a head, Jaune's was relatively normal. But, what he created was no human, it had the form of Dante's Sin Devil Trigger. Hence, it was quite menacing.
"What do you think?" said Jaune. The creature then disappeared back into the mud from which it came. As much as Jaune can make life, he had no human wisdom and the like due to his refusal to create such beings. They can only be merely called a doll.
No one had any words for what they saw.
Weiss knew it was nothing like her family's summon. It looked alive.
"Hmm…I think I have enough shocking discoveries for today. Why don't we all go and just have a tour of this place?" said Yang. She didn't think she could handle any more craziness.
Yang believe that having a tour of the place would cool her off the shocking discoveries, but that was not what happened.
The place they were in felt as if they were roaming the town of Patch. It was that massive! How was that possible? The inside is bigger than the outside.
Yang's eyes started to twitch, but she decided to turn off her brain's common sense for the time being and enjoy the tour.
Nora on the other hand was jumping in glee. Everything she asked for was available.
Ruby? When she saw the forge and the armory, she became enraptured at the sight.
They lost her when it happened.
Everyone enjoyed the tour.
"This place is amazing…Maybe I would take you up on your offer and join you guys here," said Yang. She smiled.
"As I said, your team is welcome to join us. We have plenty of room," said Jaune. As he thought earlier, the more the merrier. It felt like he was back home. Now, only if Saphron and Terra were here.
Jaune had a look in his eyes that said he would meet up with his sister in a week when he has settled down at Beacon.
