Instant Dungeon – Grimm…
It was not that different from the usual that Jaune and his friends know.
Unlike in the real world, the Instant Dungeon Grimm has Grimm on the level of Jaune's Laḫmu, which are on the level of Demon Gods from Type-Moon.
However, Jaune made sure that he used the weaker levels as he knew his friends were not ready for such a level of combat. Maybe soon with his help, but not now.
"Oh, come on!" shouted Yang. Nora said that she would be able to gain some Ursa skin by killing the Grimm from the place there were in, but until now, she had not a single one. "Nora, I thought you said I could get my own Ursa…".
Yang could not complete her words as she saw Nora kill a Grimm and it dropped an Ursa skin rug.
"Hmm?" said Nora. She looked at Yang as she heard her call her name. "Did you say something Yang? I thought I heard you call me".
Yang stared at Nora with wide eyes. She could not believe that the Ursa Nora killed dropped its skin after being killed! How was that possible?!
"H-How did you do that?" asked Yang. She wanted one. "It dropped its skin when you killed it. How come that happens to you, but not to me?".
Nora looked at Yang. She did not know what was going on. All she did was kill the Ursa like usual.
"I just killed it as usual," said Nora. "There is nothing to it".
Nora then killed a Beowolf, and it dropped a few items.
"See?" said Nora. She gestured to the dissipated Grimm. "Nothing to it".
Jaune saw the interaction between Nora and Yang. He chuckled since Nora did not know that you needed to be invited to his party before drops could be made.
"That's not how it works, Nora," said Jaune. He approached them as he did so. When he was close enough to Nora's ears, he whispered. "The only reason you get drops is that you are part of my party. Otherwise, you wouldn't get a drop".
Nora came to realize the Instant Dungeon is not the reason for the dropped items, but Jaune's Gamer ability.
"Oh!" said Nora. She looked a Yang and apologized. "Sorry, Yang, but it seems there is another condition before you get your own Ursa skin rug".
Nora then dashed away and killed more Grimm. This is better than any mission they may have since the Grimm is dropping Lien as it is killed. More money for Pancake for the Pancake Queen!
"Wait!" shouted Yang. She was trying to stop Nora, but it was too late. The hyperactive Pancake Queen was gone in the wind. "You could have at least told me what the other condition was!".
Yang sighed. She wanted something cool to have. Then it hit her, Jaune was the one that Nora something regarding the item drops. Could it be he is the one that could help her get the Ursa skin rug?
"So, Jaune?" said Yang. She looked at her fellow blond. She blushed, remembering a dream she had. But she shrugged it off. She could fantasize later. "What did you tell Nora earlier? It seems like you know how to get the Grimm to drop their skin or something".
Jaune smirked at Yang.
"Yeah, I do, but I'm not telling you and your team yet," said Jaune. Doing so would reveal his Gamer ability to team RWBY. He trusts his team as he has been close to them for an entire month. "Maybe soon, but not now. However, if you want Grimm rug, I can give you one. One that I got".
Yang's eyes shined. Yes! She can finally have her own!
"Are you sure?" asked Yang. She was acting cool. She didn't want Jaune to think she was too excited about getting one. "I mean, you killed the Grimm, it should be yours".
"It's no skin off my back, Yang," said Jaune. He then chuckled at his joke. Yang did too. "Besides, I have a vast amount of it. Giving you one isn't a problem".
Jaune took out a Grimm skin rug and gave it to Yang.
Seeing the Ursa skin rug, Yang was happy.
"Thanks, Jaune!" said Yang. She took the skin rug and hugged Jaune. The hug was good and all, but she started unconsciously feeling Jaune up. When she realized what she was doing, she blushed and run away. "I'm sorry!".
Jaune looked at a fleeing Yang and smiled. For someone as confident as Yang, she wasn't that great at approaching a guy she is interested in. She gets flustered and so something stupid or inappropriate, like feeling them up.
Ruby saw Yang running away from Jaune and approached him.
"What's wrong with Yang? I've never seen her that way before," said Ruby. She then saw the rug on Yang's hand as she ran. "And is that an Ursa skin rug she has been wanting?".
"To answer questions. Yes, that is an Ursa skin rug that Yang has been wanting. I gave it to her since she wouldn't be able to get her own for a while. As for why she was running away, she hugged me when she was happy I gave her the skin rug, and then she started feeling me up," said Jaune. He looked at Ruby and so her apologetic look.
"I am so sorry for her behavior, Jaune," said Ruby. She sighed. Her sister has never been this way before.
"Don't worry about it, Ruby. It was honestly an accident," said Jaune. He knew that Yang did so unconsciously. "Besides, I didn't mind it".
Ruby was shocked. Jaune didn't mind it? Hah? Does that mean he might like Yang back? The thought caused her face to scowl before she shrugged it off.
"By the way, what is this place? And why is it filled with nothing but Grimm?" asked Ruby. She has heard places like Mt Glenn that are filled with Grimm, but even that place is not crawling with the same amount of Grimm as the place they were training in. "This place is like a world of Grimm".
Jaune looked at Ruby and raised an eyebrow.
"That's because it is," said Jaune. They were inside the (Instant Dungeon – Grimm) after all. "This place is something called an Instant Dungeon. This particular one is that of Grimm. Hence, everything inside is Grimm. There are no people here".
"That's…I have no words for that," said Ruby. She has never heard of something like it before. Except in games. "Is this your semblance? Wait, never mind. I remember that you have no Aura. Is this magic?".
"In a sense it is," said Jaune. He didn't know the inner working of Instant Dungeon. He has tried to figure it out for two years, but alas, he came up with nothing.
…
A few days later…
"I don't understand why this is causing such a problem!" shouted Weiss. She doesn't see what she said was wrong.
"That is the problem!" said Blake. She was angry that Weiss could not see how bad she was acting towards the Faunus. "But you can't see it, even when it's in front of you".
"You realize you are defending an organization that hates Humanity, don't you?" said Weiss. "The Faunus of the White Fang are pure evil!".
"There's no such thing as pure evil! Why do you think they hate Humanity so much? It's because of people like Cardin, people like you, that force the White Fang to take such drastic measures! Only because of people like Jaune that makes other Faunus continue to strive for betterment without doing something so drastic!" said Blake. She was getting more heat by the moment.
"What do you mean people like me? What did I do wrong?" asked Weiss. She didn't see what she's done wrong or said wrong.
"You're discriminatory!" shouted Blake.
"I'm a victim! Do you want to know why I despise the White Fang? Why I don't particularly trust the Faunus? It's because they've been at war with my family for years. War, as in actual bloodshed. My grandfather's company has had a target painted across its back for as long as I can remember. And ever since I was a child, I've watched family friends disappear; board members executed; an entire train car full of Dust, stolen. And every day, my father would come home, furious. And that made for a very difficult childhood," said Weiss. She banged her fist on the bookshelf.
"You want to know why I despise the White Fang? It's because they're a bunch of liars, thieves, and murderers!" said Weiss.
"Why do you think the White Fang does what it does?! Your family's company is not innocent! It may have been a symbol of hope once, but it isn't anymore! You call Faunus a liar and murderer! But your father has done worse to the Faunus! That's why the White Fang does what it does because we were just tired of being pushed around!" shouted Blake. She was angry.
Silence drops. A surprised Weiss backs away slowly, and Blake realizes her mistake as she looks around at her teammates.
"I... I..." said Blake. She didn't know what to say. She dashes out the door.
"Blake, wait! Come back!" shouted Ruby. She runs over to the door and calls to Blake down the hallway as Yang sits herself down and Weiss looks down.
As Jaune was heading to his room, he saw Blake run past him and Ruby trying to catch up with her.
"What's going on?" asked Jaune. He didn't know why Blake was running. "Did something happen, Ruby?".
"It's Blake! I think she revealed something she wasn't planning to while she was arguing with Weiss," said Ruby.
"Does it have something to do with her being Faunus?" asked Jaune. Ruby looked at him with wide eyes. "What? I knew it for a while now. It wasn't that hard".
"How?" asked Ruby. There was no indication Blake was Faunus. She lived with us for an entire month!
"There were many indicators," said Jaune. And there were. How no one figured it out was hilarious. "I mean, whenever I ask what you guys want for dinner, Blake asks for Tuna. Then there was the time she was reading a book in a dimly lit room without issue. She did not have anything to help her light the book. How about the time she hissed and purred?".
Ruby was shocked! Shocked! At how many indicators there were that Blake was a Faunus?
"The biggest doozy was the fact her last name was Belladonna," said Jaune. Ruby did not understand. "Her father, Ghira Belladonna, was the founder of the White Fang during its peaceful days? How do you not know this? Dr. Oobleck talked about it last week".
Now, Ruby was embarrassed. Belladonna was a very well-known name! It started the White Fang! How did she not know this? It was even featured in last week's lesson!
"I feel so stupid!" said Ruby. She could not believe it. "How could I have not connected the dots? It was all right there in front of me!".
"Don't feel too bad, Ruby," said Jaune. It was hilarious. "I mean, you, Yang, and Weiss did not know. Weiss hates Faunus and the White Fang. She should have known the name of its previous leader".
Ruby was going to say something, but she remembered that she had to go after Blake.
"Let's talk later!" said Ruby. She started running. "I need to find Blake!".
As Ruby was running, Jaune stopped her.
"That would not be a good idea, Ruby. It's dark out and you aren't a Faunus," said Jaune. "It would be difficult and dangerous for you to search for her at this time of night".
"But Blake is out there!" said Ruby. If it was dangerous for her to search for Blake, then it would be dangerous for Blake to be out at this hour. "She could be in danger!".
"It is possible, but you forget, Blake was once a member of the White Fang. She can handle this kind of situation. You can't as you have no experience," said Jaune. As much as he understood Ruby wanted to find Blake, he could not let her do that. It was far too dangerous for her to do so. "Tell you what, why don't you head back to your room and rest. I'll go and find Blake. Once I do, I'll text you the situation".
Ruby was contemplating for a moment, but she nodded her head in agreement.
Jaune did as he told Ruby. He started looking for Blake. It was not difficult. She was by the statues in the courtyard without her bow.
"Blake?" said Jaune. He saw that Blake was about to run away when she realized that her bow was removed, but he stopped her. "No need for that, Blake. I knew about you being a Faunus for a while".
Blake was shocked to know that Jaune knew about her being Faunus.
