Chapter 25 Trespass
Its been a few weeks since Aayla was rescued and since Lod Durd was arrested which gave the Legion the locations of many of Hiroshi's factories.
Right now Sean was at the old Senate building.
"I still don't see why we don't get rid of this place. It's rarely ever used anymore." Turok said.
"Meh, it's mostly just for the occasional meetings ever few months to discuss current events for the Senators. Though Dad is pushing to fully disband it. Though I don't blame him." Sean said.
"Oh yeah?" Turok asked.
"Little brother. Name ten times the Senate has ever done anything useful before the Legion? It took the Temple being attacked before they fully approved making an army to fight the Sith. And they didn't even help during the Naboo crisis." Sean said.
"True." Turok said.
"While their are good Senators like Padme and Organa. There are also those who are just useless." Sean said.
"I hope your not refering to Chuchi and Carrera." Turok said making him snort.
Chuchi was the Senator of Pantora who Sean had met on several occasions and gotten into a romantic relationship last year while Carrera after years of persistence Sean decided to give them a shot and it hit off rather well.
"Hardly. Chuchi's good at her job. Carrera though I think like most of her kind." Sean tried to say.
"Speaking of me now love?"
"Oh boy." Sean said feeling Carrera press her breasts against his back as he faced her.
"Did you miss me?" Carrera teased with a pout making him scoff.
"Very funny. What are you doing here? You never come here anymore since this place is empty most of the time these days." Sean said.
"Oh I just left some things behind I decided to come and get. Care to join me?" Carrera asked making him scoff before following her.
"Oh brother. A siren is the last person you wanna fall for." Turok said before a box was thrown at him making him yell in pain.
"I heard that you virgin brat." Carrera said annoyed making Sean chuckle.
"Just imagine you and Omega in a decade." Sean teased making him blush.
"She's just a friend." Turok said annoyed.
"Uh huh. Friends don't call it each every other day when they're free." Sean said making him growl running off while Carrera giggled.
Later
An emergency occurred on a Legion outpost near Pantora as they had gotten a distress signal a couple hours ago before several Legion drop ships arrived with Members of Task force 141.
"God I hate the cold." Julia said making Korra giggle since she was leading this mission.
"You grow up in the Southern Water Tribe and you get used to it." Korra said.
"Why isn't Sean here?" Julia asked.
"He and the council had other matters to attend." Korra said.
"Avatar Korra." Chairman Cho said with Chuchi walking to them.
"Chairman Cho and Senator Chuchi. I'm gonna ask you to wait till we secured the Area." Korra said.
"I respect your judgment Avatar but I will go where I choose. This is Sovereign Pantora Territory." Cho said.
"Why would you choose to call this your territory? It's a frozen wasteland. Let the empire have it for all I care." Julia said shivering.
"Oh shut up." Korra said.
"It may be a wasteland but it does belong to us." Cho said.
"Technically the Chairman is correct. Since the planet is uninhabited the planet of Pantora has authority to control it." Chuchi said.
"Fair enough. Captain Price. Lets get going." Korra said.
"Right away." Price said as they moved in.
Moving inside they found the sight of trooper helmets on pikes before Korra removed one but found no heads.
"I don't get it." Price said.
"Must be Imperials." Cho said.
"No. This isn't like them." Korra said as they moved in further seeing their troops were KIA.
"Ok this is not the empire. No blast marks or lightsaber burns." Julia said.
"If it wasn't them then who? I certainly hope not from another universe again." Price said.
"I very much doubt that." Korra said.
"Even if it isn't the Empire it is still a threat to the people of Pantora." Cho said.
"Don't be so sure. If theres one thing I've learned over the years is that nothing is ever as it seems. For all we know this could be a group of Bounty hunters or Mercenaries trying to make a name for themselves." Korra said.
"Perhaps." Cho said seeing the truth in that.
"I found something. Looks like there is an imperial outpost not far from here. But theres no activity." Ghost said.
"All right. Lets get going. I wanna know if they are behind this or if something else is going on." Korra said.
"Right away." Gaz said as they moved out.
"If it's not the empire or some morons looking to make a name for themselves who do you think it is?" Julia asked.
"I have no idea. Since the planet is uninhabited I doubt someone here attacked them." Korra said.
Later
Arriving at the base they noticed the droid heads on pikes like back at their base.
"Ok so someone has an axe to grind against both of us?" Julia asked.
"No thats not it." Korra said as they went inside finding droid bodies without heads.
"Whoever attacked us also attacked them." Ghost said.
"Yeah but who." Korra said.
"I think I found something on the security system." Julia said trying to play it but it wasn't working. "Damnit." Julia said before Soap punched it making it play.
"685 to command. There are too many of them! They've overrun the base! We need reinforcements...AHHH!" The droid in the recording yelled before something dashed at it.
"What in the hell was that?" Gaz asked.
"Whatever it was it's clearly a good warrior." Korra said.
"Thats probably what attacked our boys. According to this they were exploring the southern cannon." Julia said.
"Ok we'll go and investigate." Korra said.
Meanwhile
"I want weapon systems back online and shields operational. Theres no telling what the Empire have planned." Cho said.
"Chairman? What makes you think the Empire is behind this?" Chuchi asked.
"Look around senator. Isn't this carnage proof enough." Cho said.
"But Korra...The Avatar already stated these aren't Imperial tactics. No blast marks. No droids or lightsaber cuts. Something else did this." Chuchi said.
"Perhaps. But the fact is something or someone is posing a threat to Pantora." Cho said.
"With Respect Chairman we don't really know the complete story behind this." Iden said.
"What are you implying?" Cho asked annoyed.
"Well, this could have been a huge misunderstanding. It's happened before on several occasions. " Iden said making him scoff.
"Meaning there could be a peaceful solution to all of this." Chuchi said as Cho went to the Elevator.
"Senator, I am willing to fight and die for my people. It's time to ask yourself if you are brave enough to do the same." Cho said as the door closed making her look down.
Later
Korra and the others arrived back at base after finding out what really happened.
"Please tell me we can go? I hate this place." Iden said making Korra scoff.
"You guys would never last a week back home in the South. And no. We're not done yet. But we found out what really happened here." Korra said as Cho approached him.
"What did you find?" Cho asked.
"It looks like this planet actually is inhabited after all." Korra said.
"Impossible. Our explorers have spent much time here during the long history of Pantora. No one lives here. Their trespassers." Cho accused.
"Not possible. These people the Talz are way to primitive to invent space travel. I think they were avoiding any explorers out of concern and haven't been seen till now." Julia said.
"Whoever they are they belong to us. This whole system belongs to us." Cho said arrogantly.
"Excuse me?" Korra asked annoyed.
"Savages have no rights. They aren't part of the Legion so we're going to eliminate every last one of them. Avatar Korra, Prepare your troops for battle." Cho said before yelling as she grabbed him.
"Your acting a lot like an Imperial." Korra said pissed off.
"Now wait just a minute. I am nothing like them." Cho said.
"I beg to differ if your talking like that. Now heres what happened. The droids attacked them and our troops got caught in the middle." Korra said.
"Meaning this whole thing was a misunderstanding." Iden said.
"These creatures are little more than animals. You can't misunderstand an animal." Cho said.
"But your Majesty." Chuchi tried to say.
"No. It's obvious these creatures must be put down without question. Avatar Korra, Prepare your troops for battle." Cho said expecting it.
"No." Korra said shocking him.
"What did you just say?" Cho asked enraged.
"I'm not gonna order my troops to kill innocent civilians just because of your superiority complex. Besides. The Talz have nothing to do with the Empire at all. And only the Supreme Commander can authorize that kind of response. And Sean's not gonna do that when he hears your reasons. Now they want to solve this peacefully. And thats exactly what we're gonna do." Korra said making him glare.
Later
Soon enough Korra and the others arrived at the meeting point where the Talz would meet them.
When Cho got off his speeder however though.
"Captain Price, Set your men on that ice ridge. We will attack as soon as the savages arrive." Cho said.
"Did I not make myself clear? There will be no attack." Korra said.
"You will do as I command! This planet is under my jurisdiction!" Cho yelled.
"Nothing is under your control. The Talz are already here." Julia said as they appeared.
Walking inside the Imperial base they found the leader before HK walked to him and started speaking in his language.
"These savages have no right." Cho said.
"Chieftain Thi-Sen welcomes you to his home and hopes you come in peace. He wishes to be good neighbors, but he does not wish you to remain on his planet." HK said.
"Listen droid. Translate everything. Exactly as I say." Cho said.
"Ok thats enough." Korra said before he aimed at her shocking Chuchi and his guards.
"You will stay out of this Avatar!" Cho yelled before her troops aimed at him. "I order you to stand down. I own this planet!" Cho yelled.
"Ok thats it." Price said shooting his leg off making him scream in pain before Gaz and Ghost took him away.
"YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME! I'm the Chairman of Pantora!" Cho yelled.
"Oh put a sock in it." Julia said.
"How is it that people like him get in office?" Korra asked.
"I have no idea." Iden said.
Later
"Chairman Cho. You have been found guilty of abuse of authority. Planned to wipe out the Talz without good reason and threatened a member of the Legion" Tarkin said.
"I was protecting my people from those savages!" Cho yelled with a robotic leg.
"They are no threat to anyone. They aren't intelligent enough for space travel. Meaning your reasons were self centered and unnecessary." Sean said.
"Hence why you will serve out the next 50 years in Prison on Coruscant." Tarkin said as he was taken away screaming in rage.
"Honestly I'll never understand how idiots like him get into office and find the support they did for so long." Sean said.
"Question of the Century. So we'll have no choice but to pull back from the area." Tarkin said.
"I can live with that. Now then we managed to take down most of Hiroshi's minor factories. But on some of them they mention a lot of supplies being used to build something. He's up to something big." Sean said.
"We'll find out soon enough." Tarkin said.
