Hello, bots and cons. Centurion Maximo checking in and welcome back to Young Justice: Their War, Our World! In the last chapter, Red Tornado got captured and began being tinkered with by T.O Morrow. What will happen to the mechanical Justice Leaguer? In the meantime, Zatanna has been introduced to the team. Now, I loved Zatanna in the first season and I didn't like that we didn't even see her after that until the third season, but more on that later.
Also, watched the season 4 finale of Young Justice and it's the best season finale I've seen in a long time. Probably up there with Transformers: Prime's Season 2 finale, not the third. It was an amazing ride all the way through, though the fourth season was an emotional tear jerker for a good majority.
Now, back to the action!
*Unknown Location. The Light. Unknown Time*
"More of these machines have been landing on Earth." The first voice brought up.
"Perhaps they could be used to our advantage." The second voice said.
"I believe we must be more wary." The third voice added. "This is a whole new ball game."
"We must remain in the light." The first voice declared.
*Isla Santa Prisca. Machination Forward Base. 02:45 am*
Most of the organic Machination members were tired, but they had to respond to the communique. "Greetings, everyone." T.O Morrow greeted.
"You'd better have a good reason for waking us all up this early, Morrow." Lucas groaned.
"We believe it's time to initiate our next strike." Ivo brought up. That got their attention. It'd been so long since they attacked Happy Harbor out in the open.
"Where to?" Mammoth asked, punching his fist into his hand.
"River City. They shouldn't offer that much resistance. However, we must contact Verlaine." Ivo stated.
*River City. 04:12 am*
The residents of River City were in different states of falling asleep and waking up. They weren't prepared for what was coming. On one of the taller buildings, a device was beeping red which was getting faster and faster. All of a sudden, the device exploded, setting off a fire on and in the building.
Minutes later, Strobe wheeled up and shot blaster fire at another smaller building, causing it to explode. No doubt people were inside, but Strobe didn't care about that, and she didn't even have to transform to robot mode.
After Strobe's hit and run, Stormflow and Toxwing were launching missiles from the air, crumbling buildings, and sending large pieces of said buildings falling down. Suddenly, Superman appeared and stopped the pieces. "Go, everyone!" He shouted. "Get to safety!" He lifted the pieces away from the civilians.
Batman was chasing Stormflow and Toxwing in the air in the Batwing with Shadowwing and Windstrike providing air support. They launched their own weapons, but the two Decepticons evaded the projectiles.
Wonder Woman was making sure that the civilians got to safety completely, but that didn't mean she was out of the game. When several Machination thugs cornered her, she unleashed a barrage of punches and kicks that didn't kill them, but incapacitate them. When she was done, there were knocked out thugs littering the ground, but more came in.
Soon enough, the Team arrived with the rest of the Autobots. "Autobots, stop the Decepticons and protect the humans!" Optimus ordered.
"Roger that, Optimus!" Ratchet acknowledged. He and the others went to perform their mission. Said Autobot medic was treating the wounded while the others went into combat.
Ironhide engaged in battle against Hellcrest who was dodging Ironhide's punches. A couple minutes later, Ironhide brought his arm cannons, firing precisely at Hellcrest who evaded the shots by hovering in the air thanks to his copter rotors. The Decepticon then fired back with blasters that popped out of his legs, forcing the Autobot to fall back and seek cover.
However, a tank shot was heard as it impacted into another tall building, forcing the top of it to completely explode, creating a large fire. Bishop knew who the shot belonged to. "Wreckage…" Sure enough, Wreckage and T.O Morrow had arrived.
"Nice to see you all again." T.O Morrow grinned. "I'd like you all to meet my little robotic cabal." Seconds later, Mister Twister, Red Inferno, Red Torpedo, Red Volcano, and Tornado Tyrant appeared from a ground bridge.
"What the hell…?" Kid Flash muttered, a little scared at what he was even looking at.
"If you like this, say hello to our newest member." T.O Morrow's grin grew wider as Red Tornado stepped through the ground bridge last.
"Red Tornado…?" Flash breathed in utter disbelief.
"He's back where he belongs." T.O Morrow declared. "Attack!" Red Tornado unleashed a massive tornado toward the team and Autobots. The bots were able to hold their ground, with the exception of Jazz and Bumblebee because those two were the lightest of the bots, while the team were close to getting blown away from the attack. Fortunately, Zatanna tagged along.
"Kcatta Siht Pots!" Zatanna chanted and a barrier appeared from nowhere, blocking the attack and letting the Team breathe for now.
"Tornado's probably been tampered with from Morrow." Batman accurately deduced. "He must've installed a trojan horse virus into him." The dark knight put the pieces together. "He wants us to take him back so they can hack into our systems."
No! What gave you that clue!" Bishop snidely remarked as he opened fire on Wreckage, trying to hit any chinks in his armor, but they were just bouncing off like pebbles. Wreckage fired another round. Bishop immediately began shooting at the round, trying to blow it up before it hit. Thankfully, that happened when Superman used his heat vision.
While all that was happening, Ivo and Blightshot were simply observing, waiting for the right moment. "Amazo: Strike them down. Priority Alpha." Ivo grinned as Amazo went off into the fray. Landing in front of the team, he created a small crater.
"Well, you're back for another beatdown." Amazo mocked. "Access: Captain Atom." Amazo suddenly fired energy blasts from the palms of his robotic hands, knocking the team back further. Superboy went on the attack, but it was really a distraction for Robin to throw some of his discs at his head which exploded on contact. However, when the smoke cleared, Amazo was standing without a single scratch with a pale green aura around him. "Didn't expect this, did you?"
"Are you kidding!" Superboy exclaimed in frustration. "He's got a shield now!"
"You like my new upgrade?" Amazo taunted "Now you can't blow up my head like the first time we fought. Access: Flash." Amazo then ran towards Superboy, unleashing a flurry of fast punches, knocking him down.
Miss Martian was about to help him, but was suddenly surrounded by a ring of fire, courtesy of Red Inferno. She was quickly feeling the effects as she was sweating and feeling weaker, kneeling. In the heat of the moment, Red Arrow dropped down and launched a foam arrow, dissipating the fire ring combined with Aqualad's water powers. "Roy!" Kid Flash exclaimed in joy.
"Heard there was a party. Kinda sad I wasn't invited." Red Arrow quipped as he launched an explosive arrow which sent a bunch of explosions, forcing Amazo back a little. He was about to fire another explosive arrow, but Mister Twister and Red Torpedo intervened with their own attacks.
"We've accomplished what we needed! Fall back through the ground bridge!" Wreckage ordered and the Decepticons and Machination fell back through their respective ground bridges. Once they disappeared, the League, Team, and Autobots were left to partially stew in their defeat. Optimus Prime, Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman remained calm.
"It seems the partnership between this Machination and the Decepticons is stronger than first thought." Optimus commented.
"Red Tornado on the side of the Machination. Not a very comforting thought." Black Canary shuddered.
"Indeed. This makes it even harder to get him back." Martian Manhunter added.
"Guys, some people are missing." Green Arrow brought up.
"What?" Wonder Woman asked, her anger rising a little at what she was hearing.
"The Machination must've grabbed some civilians while they were distracting us with the fighting and destruction." Superman put together.
*Nevada. 150 kilometers outside Las Vegas. Venomsting's New Laboratory. 04:54 am*
Venomsting was excited as she had fresh subjects to tinker with. "Oh, I'm so glad that I moved to this new, bigger lab. Sure, I had to give Dr. Desmond my old place, but it was worth it." She then moved to the people in tubes. She was ready to begin her new work.
*Unknown Location. T.O Morrow's Laboratory. 06:01 am*
"Well, I'd say our objective was a success." Morrow grinned.
"How so?" Hook asked while on board the Stormtide.
"River City had just developted an experimental nanotech that could regenerate from most damage and can withstand a vaccum." Ivo explained.
"I didn't even hear about this." Verlaine added.
"Not to mention we scored a bit of spending money for ourselves." Lucas grinned, holding up a few stacks of cash.
"Plus, the first batch of G-Sentinels are ready to be sent into combat." Dr. Desmond smiled.
"Excellent news." King Vertigo said on his throne.
"Project: Andromeda is a go." Wreckage grinned as he and Morrow overlooked some new blueprints. However, a loud thump was heard outside the base. "Autobots?!"
"How the hell did they find us?" Morrow questioned as Wreckage transformed to vehicle mode, ready to fire on the intruder. What they saw wasn't what they expected. Instead, it was a man wearing orange and green combat armor with sandals, a katana at the hip with a mask looking like a samurai skeleton.
"You?!" Wreckage shouted.
*Seattle. Embersting & Perdita. 07:23 am*
Embersting was racing back to the hospital as Perdita wasn't doing so hot. She was coughing up a bit of blood and gasping heavily. "Hold on, Perdita. We're gonna make it." Perdita didn't bother to respond as she was mainly focused on not dying. Suddenly, weapons fire from Strobe and a couple Machination thugs happened behind Embersting.
"Focus fire on the girl inside the car." Strobe ordered and the thugs did just that. Luckily, Embersting's windows were bulletproof.
However, more weapons fire appeared, but coming from a red 1970's Dodge Charger with horns on the hood. "Mess with Cliff, you get the horns!" The car shouted as it rammed the Machination car, sending it off the road.
"Cliffjumper?!" Embersting shouted in shock.
"Who else would it be?" Cliffjumper asked rhetorically with a bit of pride.
"Scrap!" Strobe swore as she backed off. With that taken care of, Cliffjumper went with Embersting to the hospital as Embersting began explaining everything that's happened thus far.
Hello, everyone. I hope you all liked this chapter of Young Justice: Their War, Our World. River City has been mostly destroyed by the Machination. The League and Team worked with the Autobots for the first in defending the city and it's people. Also, Red Arrow dropped in to lend a hand. Not only that, but they manage to abduct a few of the civilians for their own purposes. Plus, Venomsting has a new laboratory while Dr. Desmond got her old one.
However, one question lingers now: What is the Machination's Project: Andromeda? Also, a new Decepticon has appeared which isn't good. Those who know Transformers should know this character even in human form.
Meanwhile, Embersting is driving Perdita back to the hospital when they come under attack from Strobe and a couple nameless Machination thugs which a driven off from Cliffjumper.
