Chapter 15: Pyramid Panic
The ground kept quaking as the Pretty Cures, the fairies, Matt, Tint, and Rusty and Musty held their balance. The pillars of lights kept gleaming from out of the ground. Then all of a sudden, something is starting to come out of the sandy ground. Slowly moving, a stone pillar rises. Then another appeared, and another one.
"Something's coming out of the ground!" Cure Diamond noted. And sure enough, something big is coming out with its triangular point coming out first.
"Everyone! Move out of the way!" Rusty commanded.
Everyone did as the whole gang clears the area while the huge structure coming out of the ground kept rising. Rusty even got into his truck and drives it away from the site. Once everyone is at safe distance, they all watched as the pillars and the huge structure kept rising. Then after about a few seconds passed, there in their view surprised them of what they all saw: a huge pyramid with a stone path leading into the pyramid, and a row of stone pillars on each side of the path. Everyone is really surprised.
"I don't believe it…" Cure Passion said in shock.
"Well I'll be a hot fudge sundae boiling in the desert sun." Rusty said in surprise.
"That must be what we're looking for." Cure Ace said.
"…It's… the pyramid." Tint said in little amazement.
The team stared the pyramid for a moment, until Cure Muse breaks the silence. "Well team, we better go inside and obtain that Wonder Color." The Pretty Cure nodded in agreement, but…
"Wait!" Matt interrupted, "Are you sure you want to do this? Remember Topaz warned us that the pyramid contains traps that are deadly." The Pretty Cures stared at Matt for a moment, but then they smiled at him.
"Matt, I know it's dangerous… but our job as Pretty Cures is to save the people we love no matter what dangers or disasters we will face." Cure Rosetta said with a grin.
"That's right Matt," Cure Rhythm followed, "We don't know if we can make it, but as long as our power of our teamwork and belief goes on, we will triumph and succeed." Matt heard those words, and then he makes a concern look.
"Well Purdy Cures, I love to tag along with ya," Rusty called out, "but me and Musty aren't good at handling traps within pyramids. So we'll be waiting here at my truck 'til you come back with the Wonder Color you obtain." Pretty Cures understood Rusty and Musty's situation.
Milky Rose walks up to Matt and pats his shoulder. "You don't have to tag along with us." she said, "We just don't want you to get hurt."
"You can wait for us with Rusty and Musty, and we'll be back in a flash." Cure Berry said with a wink and grin.
Matt pauses a moment to think. He then makes a reply, "Okay girls, just be careful." The Pretty Cures smiled understanding Matt's answer. Then the heroines, the fairies, and Tint turned towards the pyramid and headed to the entrance door. But as they were walking away, Matt watches them with his concern look on his face. He begins to worry, until he noticed Rusty and Musty watching Matt with their cheeky look on their faces. "What?" he asked.
"…Go for it." Rusty responded, "I know you want to be on the Purdy Cures' side." Musty barked in excitement.
For a minute, Matt looks back at the Pretty Cures who are heading to the pyramid. Then he makes a firm and confident look. He turns back to Rusty, "There may be dangerous traps in there, but I'm part of the team as well. And who knows? They're going to need someone smart like me to solve any kind of puzzles if they ever get stuck." Rusty and Musty smiled. Matt holds tightly to his messenger bag and catches up to the Pretty Cures.
The Pretty Cures arrived at the front entrance of the pyramid as they stare for a moment preparing to step inside and take on the challenge.
"Well, this is it." Tint said with a little fright.
"Alright team, let's move in." Cure Dream commanded. The team nodded, when…
"Wait!" someone shouted and the Pretty Cures turned toward the sound. And coming towards the team is Matt Oda. The heroines were a bit surprised and thought that he wanted to stay behind with Rusty and Musty. When Matt arrived, he was huffing and puffing to catch his breath.
"Matt, we thought you're going to stay behind." Cure Lemonade said curiously.
"I was, but I realized I'm part of the team as well." Matt responded. The Pretty Cures looked a little confused. "I understand that I suddenly changed my mind and you girls are little shocked and confused, but truth is I just couldn't stand aside and do nothing. What if need me in case you come across a puzzle or challenge that's too difficult. Not only that… but besides the danger, going on these adventures is my thing." The heroines, the fairies, and Tint kept staring at Matt for a moment. "I promise I'll be careful." The team kept staring at Matt a little longer, but then they smiled.
"Alright Matt," Cure Aqua calls out first, "just be very careful yourself as well."
"Yeah, we're going to need all the help we can get." Cure Egret.
Matt smiled, "Thanks ladies." And so the Pretty Cure team entered the pyramid with caution.
Rusty and Musty watched the Pretty Cure from a distance, and Rusty straightens his cowboy hat. "Good luck, partners." Rusty said to himself.
After a few minutes of entering the pyramid, the Pretty Cure team is walking down the pyramid halls as they progress to find the room where the Wonder Color is held. The halls contained a row of lit torches and painted hieroglyphs on the walls. Some of team members were a bit scared of the creepy hallways.
"Uh, these hallways are giving me the chills-coco." Coco said with fright.
"I'm scared too-kuru." Candy followed as she hangs tightly on Cure Happy's arm.
"Don't worry you guys," Cure Sunshine said trying to comfort the fairies, "We got your backs, so don't be too scared."
After so long of walking down the halls, the team came across two doors closed together with a knocking handle on the right door. And just right above the doors is a carved face statue of an Egyptian man wearing a King Tut hat on his head.
"I guess we go inside through these doors." Cure Beauty noted. The team agreed, and Matt and Cure Beat volunteered to open the doors. They tried pushing and pulling, but the doors wouldn't open.
"The doors won't open." Cure Beat noted.
"Yet, there's a handle on the door." Matt said and noticed.
"What is it for?" Cure Peace wondered as she looks at the door's handle.
"Maybe it's for knocking?" Matt replied in theory.
"Well then let's knock." Tarte suggested, "Maybe somebody on the other side will hear us." Matt nodded thinking Tarte's suggestion may work. He grabs the handle on the door and… KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK! After that, the team waited for a response. Suddenly, the statue face's eyes flashed in a green light and the team flinched. They looked at the statue face, and, in shock, the statue glared at the team.
"Who disturbs my slumber?" said the statue face in creepy and low voice tone. Everyone kept staring at the face with frightened looks on their faces. "What brings you here to my pyramid?" They were scared still, but one scarily responds.
"Uh…, we are here to obtain the Wonder Color so we can save Spectrum Land." Cure Blossom replied with her legs shaking a little.
The face raised one of its eyebrows, "…Hmm… Who are you people? How do you know about the Wonder Color of this pyramid?"
Cure Princess makes a response, though she is a little scared, "W-We are the Pretty Cures here to save Spectrum Land. And we need that Wonder Color of yours to restore the Prism Diamond."
The face raised his eyebrow even more and became a little surprised. "Pretty Cures…? I've heard so much about you. Only those heroes that are willing to save Spectrum Land are the ones who are successfully finding my pyramid. If you are the true Pretty Cures to save Spectrum Land and retrieve my Wonder Color Yellow, then you must pass my challenge rooms. If you're successful, then I will give you the Wonder Color. BUT! Be warned Pretty Cures, my tests are very challenging and dangerous. Once you step in, you may not return until you passed my tests, or you're willing to forfeit. You may wish to turn back for your own safety, but are you willing enough to brave my challenge?"
The team looked at each other for a moment thinking if they should keep moving forward. There was a moment of silence, but the next thing is the team smiled in confidence. The fairies, Matt, and Tint don't like dangerous places, but they want to stick together as a perfect team to the end. They all looked back at the statue face with their confident faces. "Yes!" Cure Lovely responded, "We're ready! And we'll succeed to the very end, all together!" Everyone else nodded in agreement.
"Very well then. Prove yourselves Pretty Cures that you are worthy for me. Enter my first challenge room." And the face reverted back to its original state, and the doors slowly opened. The team stepped inside the first room.
When the team arrived in the first room, the whole place is a huge square room with many coffins on the side of the walls. There were also some torches in the room, and a lit chandelier hanging from the ceiling. There are two more doors on the other side of the room, but they are closed. Once the team stepped in the middle of the room, the doors that the team entered slammed shut causing some of the team members to jump.
"Welcome to my first challenge room." The team heard the voice, and it is the same kind of voice they heard from the statue face, but this time it came from everywhere and there was no Egyptian's face to be found. "Here is your first test…" Suddenly the coffins in the whole room started to move. But then… Crack! Pow! Crash! Bam! Out popped from the coffins first are arms wrapped in worn-out silk bandages. Then the covers to the coffins fell off as it revealed inside that got the most of the team members shaking their legs… mummies.
"Kyaa! Mummies!" Cure March screeched.
"EEEYYAAAHHH!" screeched some of the frightened Pretty Cures.
"First test: Defeat all the mummies in this room. Show me your strength, Pretty Cures. BEGIN!" Those were the lasts words of the mysterious voice he instructed, and the mummies started to walk like zombies towards the Pretty Cure team.
"Here they come-desu!" Shypre shouted.
"Well, let's go Pretty Cures!" Cure Mint commanded. The team nodded, even though some were a little bit frightened.
"Matt, get yourself, Tint, and the fairies to safety." Cure Pine ordered. Matt nodded and gave a thumb-up as he, Tint, and the fairies hid some place to safety.
And in an instant snap, the Pretty Cures charged at the mummies. Half of the team fought the mummies with brute force, while the other half fought back with their magical attacks.
Cure Peace battles with three mummies as she prepares an attack. "I'm going to shock you guys back to sleep. Pretty Cure, Peace Thunder!" She aims her thunder attack to the mummies and gave them a shocking hit. The attack exploded with the mummies as they were left with a pile of ashes and loose bandages. Peace wipes the sweat off her head, "Whew, that wasn't so bad."
Cure Honey is surrounded by five mummies coming in closer on her. She quickly pulls out her PreChan Mirror and her Popcorn Cheer card set. "Okay, let's see how you deal with this." Honey said in confidence. She opens her PreChan Mirror, places her cards inside, and closes the latch. A bright appeared and Honey turned into her Popcorn Cheer outfit. "Pretty Cure, Ribbon Heart Explosion!" She leaps and twirls her ribbon until it formed into a shape of a heart. "Victory!" A huge heart appeared, and then… BOOM! The mummies surrounding Honey were then pushed back and hit on the walls causing them to turn their bodies into ashes and bandages to fall off.
Soon the Pretty Cures have entirely defeated all the mummies in the room. Every mummy turned into ashes. When mummies are defeated, the Pretty Cures jumped and cheered. Seem like it was an easy challenge… "Uh… Pretty Cure!" Matt shouted, "Don't celebrate yet!" or so they thought, and Matt pointed out the victory is short lived when the team and Matt sees more mummies appearing out of from the sandy ground. They were rising and were up on their feet. Team flinched in surprise, and some of the Cures screeched in fright.
"You've got to be kidding me!" Cure Rouge complained, "There's more!?"
"They're popping everywhere!" Cure Pine panicked.
"Well then, we'll just have to keep battling." Cure Muse declared. And with that the team charged, again.
Rouge charges ahead in front of several mummies. "Time to knock you guys out!" she shouted while running. Rouge chants her attack, "Pretty Cure, Fire Strike!" A fireball appeared next to her left foot, and she pulls her right foot and then kicks the fireball. The zooming fire orb heads straight to the mummies, and when it made contact, the fire exploded causing the mummies to burn in flames. The mummies then turn into ashes. "(Pant)… (Pant)… Hope that clears up…" Rouge said as she breathed really hard.
Sunshine and Marine were surrounded by many mummies. The two Cures got their guard as they spoke to each other.
"They're sure multiplying." Sunshine stated, "But we're not giving up. You ready Marine?"
"I'm way ahead of ya!" Marine said in great confidence.
The two Cures held their hands together and chant their attack in sync. "Pretty Cure, Big Explosion!" A huge yellow and blue explosion wave appeared and spreads out toward the mummies. When the mummies got impacted by the Cures' attack, they were all pushed back and hitting walls as they all turned into dust and loosened bandages.
"Piece of cake!" Marine said in joy as she gives a high five to Sunshine.
More Mummies appeared from the ground and everywhere, but the Pretty Cure team kept fighting and defeating every mummy. When every last mummy from out of the ground is defeated, the room became quiet as the heroines waited and prepared for the next mummy to rise in front of them. A few seconds passed, and nothing appeared out of the ground. Soon the team lowers their guard thinking that maybe it's over.
"Impressive Pretty Cures." said the mysterious voice. The team, including Matt, Tint, and the fairies heard the voice. "You have defeated all of the mummies in my first challenge room. Therefore, you passed." When the team heard those words, they smiled and jumped in victory. Matt, Tint, and the fairies smiled too. "You have the strength to defeat many obstacles in your path. But let's see how you do in the next room. Proceed through the opening doors." And the other side of the room, the doors slowly opened. The Pretty Cure team grin a little as they started to walk into the next room.
In the next room contained a huge open bottomless chasm with three narrow stone paths, about yard apart each and about ten yards long, connected to the team's platform side and the other side of the room. On the left side of the room up against the wall is a bigger path that also leads to the other side of the room, only there's a metal gate blocking the path. And on the other side of the chasm are two more doors that are closed and three ropes hanging from the ceiling. The team stared at this room, and then Nutts looked down at the chasm.
Nutts is shaking in fright when the chasm is pitch-black. "Oh man, I can't see the bottom-natsu," he said in fright.
"I don't know what's down there, but I don't want to know-nya," Hummy said in fright.
Cure Sunny looks at the room. "So now what do we do?" she asked.
"You're inside my second challenge room." said the mysterious voice. The team hears the voice. "Decide three willing people to walk across the narrow paths and pull the ropes at the same time. Those who fly across will be disqualified and fail the test. See if you're brave enough to walk across the chasm and avoid the deadly traps. You may begin when all three starts to walk across at the same time."
And those were the last words from the voice to inform the Pretty Cures as they discuss which Pretty Cures are bold enough to take the scary challenge.
"I'm assuming the rest of us will walk around the chasm and pass that gate once the three brave Cures pull the ropes," Matt noted.
"You're probably right Matt." Cure Egret responded. "So then, who's going?"
"Not me!" Cure Rouge replied as she waves her hands back and forth, "It looks too scary."
"Sorry, but I'm out as well." Cure Diamond said as she waves her left hand near her face.
"No way. Not me either." Cure Happy panicked.
"Count me out." Cure Rhythm declared.
It seems most of the Pretty Cures are scared of walking across the bottomless chasm, but they have to if they want the Wonder Color. They were struggling, until…
"I'll go." The team turned to the Cure who volunteered, and it is…
"Moonlight!?" Cure Marine said in shock. Cure Moonlight raised her hand showing that she was willing to take the challenge, but then…
"I'll go too." The team turned, and it is Cure Passion who also raised her hand.
"Passion?!" Cure Peach said in surprise.
"Me too." And that is Cure Fortune volunteering last.
"Fortune!?" Cure Lovely said in shock.
"Girls, are you sure?" Matt said in concern.
"We have to Matt." Moonlight replied, "If not, we won't save Spectrum Land and the galaxy."
"Trust us. We can handle this." Passion followed with a smile. Fortune nodded in agreement.
Matt is really worried, but he understands. "Okay, I wish you the best of luck."
"Be careful you three." Shiny Luminous said. And everyone else wishes the three brave Cures with great luck.
The three smiled, and each of the three Cures took a narrow path. Moonlight is on the left, Passion is in the middle, and Fortune is on the right. The three looked at each other thinking if they were ready. "All set girls?" Moonlight asked in a firm mood. The other two nodded in confidence. The three looked at the narrow paths, and then they started to walk at the same time. As they walked, the three Cures stretch their arms out to maintain their balance. They walked about one-tenth far on the narrow paths and still maintained their balance and kept walking.
"You're doing great so far-ropu!" Syrup cheered.
"Yeah, keep it up-desu wa." Ribbon followed and cheered.
Cure Fortune calls out to the rest of the team, "Let us know if you see—"
Swoosh!
"—anything…"
Fortune almost flinched when something zoomed past right in front of her face. Moonlight and Passion didn't see it, but the two heard the zooming sound and got their eyes a little widened. The three brave Cures were on alert of what is coming to them, when suddenly…
Swoosh!
The team and Matt heard the sound and spotted the objects as three of them are flying toward the three Cures. And they are…
sharp spears.
"PRETTY CURE! LOOK OUT!" Matt shouted.
Moonlight, Passion, and Fortune turned around and see the spears coming at them. They quickly dodged them in the nick of time. Suddenly, the three Cures spotted more spears coming towards them from everywhere. The three Cures swiftly dodge every single one while staying on foot on the narrow paths. They kept dodging as they progress to the other side of the chasm.
The rest of the team was shocked and scared as some of them covered their eyes, some of their eyes widen, and some of their hands close to their jaw-drop mouths.
"Don't stop, Pretty Cure!" Tarte shouted. "Keep going! Let your Pretty Cure instincts do the bodywork!"
The three brave Cures were on a roll as they kept dodging the spears and walking along the narrow paths. When they are about one-third away through, the spears stop shooting at the Cures, and the three girls regain their balance. They thought it was over, but…
"BEHIND YOU!" Cure White shouted. "WATCH OUT!"
The three Cures turned around and spotted three pendulum blades, each in its own path, coming towards the Cures. The three girls quickly reacted again and they avoided the blades. When they missed the blades, another set of blades came swinging in. The girls dodged and avoided them.
The team was really scared, and a few fainted. "I can't watch," Cure Lemonade cried as she covered her eyes.
The three brave Cures made it passed the blades as they are one-third away from reaching the ropes. The three Cures were panting in exhaustion, but they kept their will going. Moonlight looks up ahead and sees the ropes. She turns to her brave companions.
"We're almost there," Moonlight said. "Keep it up."
"LOOK OUT!" Passion shouted.
Moonlight turned around when a giant spinning saw blade appeared as it swings towards her. Moonlight quickly dodged and avoids the saw, but the three kept dodging again when more saw blades appeared and swung to the three Cures. The three Cures maintain their footing and kept getting closer to the ropes.
The team kept watching and cheering them on when the three brave Cures are really close to the ropes. "Go! Go! Keep going!" Matt cheered, "You're almost there!"
The three Cures are at the last stretch to reach the end as they are a few feet away from the ropes. The Cures looked up and see the ropes in front of them. The moment of close victory came to a halt when a group of saws are swinging towards the Cures. The saws were coming in close, but the Cures looked at each other and nodded. They bend their legs, and… "JUMP!" Fortune shouted. And the three Cures did as they avoided the saws, and each one reached their arms out and grabbed a hold of the ropes. They held tightly, and at the same time the ropes were pulled. With that the saws stopped spinning and moving. And the metal gate on side of the chasm and up against the wall opened. The team smiled and shouted in victory. The three Cures were hanging onto the ropes for a moment until they landed safely on a platform. The three were completely exhausted, but they smiled for victory. Then the three tired Cures heard the rest of the team coming in towards them with big smiles on their faces.
"Way to go Pretty Cures!" Tint shouted in excitement.
"Man! that was scary!" Matt shouted in great shock.
"Moonlight! You did it!" Blossom shouted and hugged her.
"Passion! Thank goodness you're alright!" Peach cried while hugging her.
"You did it Fortune!" Princess cried. "You did it!"
Everyone felt relieved, and Moonlight, Passion, and Fortune were very proud. "I'm really impressed." said the voice. The team heard it. "You've shown me your true bravery of overcoming a dangerous challenge like that. You Pretty Cures are strong and bold. Now face one more challenge in the next room, and I will let you into the Wonder Color." The doors next to the team opened up slowly allowing the team to walk into the next room.
Before everyone goes into the next room, Matt asks the three brave Cures, "Hey, I thought you girls would be sliced and diced. But you've made it. How's that possible?"
Moonlight panted, but she calmly replies to Matt, "As long you believe, trust your instincts, and do what's right in your heart, you will achieve almost anything." Fortune and Passion nodded in agreement while they pant of exhaustion. Matt smiled, and they continued to walk into the next room.
When the team arrived in the next room, they are in a room filled with vases on the walls and on the big stone block pedestals. All the vases were in plain colors and have strange pictures or symbols on them. And just on the other side of the room are two more doors, only this time in the center of the doors is a keyhole. When the whole team entered inside, the doors behind them closed.
The voice speaks, "You Pretty Cures have achieved and overcome the two challenges with your incredible willpower. Now comes the last challenge room you're in. To proceed and complete this challenge, find the key hidden inside one of the vases you see in the room in order to open the doors with the keyhole on them. Observe the vases carefully and look at the symbols. Find the correct one with the key hidden inside of it, but the other vases will contain deadly and poisonous scorpions if you choose wrong. Use your wisdom and choose wisely."
The team looked at all the vases in the room. "But which one is it?" Cure Black said in confusion.
The voice speaks again, "The correct vase lies with this clue..." Everyone listened.
"I never rest, and I'm never still.
I always move silently from hill to hill.
I do not walk, neither run nor trot.
All is cool where it is not.
What am I?"
Some of the team members blinked in confusion, but they realize it was a puzzling riddle. "Prove yourselves to me one last time that you are wise enough for me and pass this challenge. You will proceed when you find the key and unlock the doors."
Some of not-so-bright Pretty Cures scratched their heads in irritation.
"Oh man!" cried Cure Bloom. "A brain-teasing puzzle!? I don't like puzzles."
"Ugh, what is this, a test?" Cure Melody complained. "I can't figure this out."
"Well, we've got to try." Cure Ace commanded, "We just have to think carefully and figure out which vase is the correct answer that holds the key."
"Agree," Cure Sunshine responded, "let's take a look at the symbols on the vases and see what they are."
Everyone agreed and observes each vase's symbol on them. After viewing every single vase, Cure Sword speaks up, "Well we observe every vase. But is there something we can keep track of these?"
"Yeah," Matt replied, "I have paper and a pencil." Matt pulls out a notepad and a lead pencil from his messenger bag and prepares to write. "Okay girls; tell me what you've got." The Cures told everything symbol of what they all saw on the vases to Matt. After writing down what the Cures said, he had the following on his notepad: lightbulb, flower, star, sun, bee, block, bird, leopard, crab, duck, and fish. Matt observes the symbols on his notepad and thinks while the Cures try to figure out which vase has the key
"Which one is it?" Heart said in confusion.
"All these things can move, but what matches the clue?" Muse said as she thinks.
"Come on girls, think." Marine complained, "Any suggestions?"
Coffret came over and floated next to Marine. "How about… a leopard-desu?" he said.
"Not a leopard," Rosetta responded, "because it can run. The clue says this doesn't run."
"Then what about… a duck-lapi?" Flappy suggested when popped his head out from his Crystal Commune.
"I guess…" Egret responded, "but a duck does rest, and it's cool when in the water. This clue doesn't do that."
"How about… a flower-nya?" Hummy thought.
"But a flower doesn't move," Pine noted. "The clue said this one always moves."
"C'mon girls, think," Diamond said in a little panic. "If we get the wrong vase, swarms of scorpions will crawl at us and poison us."
"Yeah," Honey said while being a little concerned, "but which one is it?"
Every Pretty Cure and fairy was stumped. They turned to Tint. "Tint, do you know the answer?" Sunny asked.
"Even a great student like me can't figure this one out," Tint sadly replied.
"Moonlight, you're pretty smart," Berry said. "Can you solve this?"
"I'm not so sure either," Moonlight responded. "I'm a little tired from that dangerous trap challenge I took, and the thing is puzzle-solving is kind of hard for me. It's not the same as studying."
The Pretty Cures are in a pickle, but Matt speaks up. "Maybe I can help," he said. The girls turned to him. "I may not be a Pretty Cure, but I am a guy who loves to solve puzzles and mysteries." The Pretty Cures looked at each other for a bit. "Let me try, and I'll prove I'm something worthwhile to the Pretty Cure team."
The Pretty Cures thought for a moment, then they came to a conclusion. They all smiled. "Okay Matt, go for it," Cure Aqua said.
Matt nodded, and then he looks at the list on his notepad. He begins to think and figures out the puzzle. "Now let's see here…" he said while thinking, "The puzzle, or clue you call it, says it's never rested and still... It always moves... It does not walk, run, or trot... And it's never cool where it is... Hmm…" As the Pretty Cures watched Matt Oda think, he looks at the list and analyzed which one matches the clue's description. He took his time going through every single one on his list until…
"…I've got it!" Matt smiled and widens his eyes.
The Cures turned surprised. "What? What is it?" Peach asked eagerly.
"Tell us-ropu!" Syrup commanded.
Matt turns to the team, "I know which vase is it."
"Which one?" Happy asked curiously.
Matt then walks to a certain vase. There he sees the sun symbol on the vase. "It's this one," he stated.
"The one with the sun?" Rouge asked.

"Got it," Matt said with a grin and grabs the key.
The Pretty Cures, the fairies, and Tint instantly smiled and made awe-spiring gasp. A few Pretty Cures have their eyes sparkling in dazzling amazement.
"Alright!" Dream cheered, "Way to go, Matt!"
"Incredible!" Milky Rose said in amazement, "How did you know?"
Matt turned to the team, "The sun matches the clue's description, just like it stated. And it does make sense.
The puzzling part of the clue was what never moves, yet it does move. But where it's never cool is what adds it up. So, it must be something that's always hot or warm all the time. The sun is what hit my mind. And it is logical, in a perplexing yet scientific way. The sun will never move on its own. But the reason why the sun moves when we see it is because of the planet's rotation. As the planet rotates from west to east in a 24-hour time zone, we see the sun in a different place as time passes. A lot of people thought way back when the sun moved on its own, but in scientific discovery, it's the planet itself rotating to change the time of the day.
In conclusion Pretty Cures, the sun is the answer. And the vase that has the sun on it has the key in it. There you have it." Matt finishes by crossing his arms.
"Bravo! Matthew!" Melody cheered and clapped. "Bravo!"
"Well done!" Rhythm complimented and also clapped.
"Wow..." Ace said with amazement, "I'm speechless."
"Magnificent Matt," Moonlight complimented, "You have an incredible mind."
"Indeed," Beauty followed, "all that studying and logical thinking really paid off."
Diamond nodded in agreement, "You must really like studying at school and college."
Matt scratches his head and says, "Aw Nah, I just like brain-teasing puzzles and solving mysteries. They're my best hobbies."
The team giggled at Matt, until Tint speaks up, "Way to go Matt. Alright, let's put the key into the door and move on."
Everyone agreed, and they head to the doors with the keyhole on it. When they arrived in front of the doors, Matt put the key into the keyhole, turns the key, and unlocks the doors. The doors slowly opened away from the Pretty Cures. When the doors are fully opened, the team went through and into the next room.
Once the team passed through the doors, they entered into a huge room about three stories high and wide as a double-sized tennis court. There were stoned balconies and lit torches everywhere high up on the walls. The team looked around and found stairs leading down to the huge opening area. The team walked down the stairs and arrived in the middle of the huge room. The team waited for the anticipation of what's happening next.
"Welcome, Pretty Cures." said the strange voice from before. The team startled and looked around to find the voice. They couldn't find the source, until a row of torch pans lit up as they lead to the far end of the room. The team watched the lit torches as they lead to a person in a silhouette sitting on a throne. The torches next to the throne revealed who's sitting on the throne. The team widens their eyes as they see an Egyptian pharaoh wearing a King Tut hat sitting in his throne. The Pretty Cure team were a little bit scared, but the pharaoh begins to speak, "Don't be afraid O' hero ones. I've seen your true blue talents, and I am really impressed by your incredible and righteous actions. And your human friend has a brilliant wise mind to solve the last challenge room; that I can vouch. I am Pharaoh Ammon. I live in this pyramid, and I hold the Wonder Color Yellow you Pretty Cures seek." He then claps his hands twice, and then two Egyptian servants brought a gold cage that contains the Wonder Color Yellow inside to show to the Pretty Cures.
The team blinked in surprise knowing that the Wonder Color is safe. "That's it." Tint stated, "That's the Wonder Color we need to restore the Prism Diamond."
"When then your majesty," Milky Rose speaks, "we passed your tests, so can we have the Wonder Color like you said?"
"Of course," the pharaoh responded, "you warriors deserve this extraordinary orb for succeeding in passing my tests. You Pretty Cures have shown me how to reach impossible goals with your determined hearts. I would be honored to give you the Wonder Color." The team smiled in joy. "However…," the team's smiles disappeared, "This valuable and precious Wonder Color cannot be given to the heroes of Spectrum Land just by passing my tests. You proven so far your strong, brave, and smart to overcome my challenging rooms…, but you must prove me one more thing for me, if you want me to hand over the Wonder Color to you." The team waited for the pharaoh's answer. "…This will be your true final challenge, and I mean true one, if you want the Wonder Color Yellow. You must battle me, and defeat me." The team blinked in surprise.
