Ever since his chat with Victoria, Brax had been waiting for the moment to catch Kyle alone so they could talk privately. Although they had been able to talk about Kyle's behaviour about his job at Angelo's and he did apologise to his brothers for it, knowing he shouldn't have done it. Brax was never able to mention anything else as either Phoebe, their brothers or the girls had been around, and this was something he wanted without them around to interfere.

It had been since then that Brax had also noticed other things with Kyle, like him acting as if he was never in a relationship with Victoria despite being with her for more like a year and a half after putting the awkward stage behind them. Everyone loved their relationship and they didn't think they could say the same about his relationship so far, but only time could tell if she could change their opinion of her.

"We need to talk now you've got some time." Brax says as he sits down at the table opposite Kyle.

"I can't right now, I'm about to go and meet Phoebe at the diner." Kyle says, about to stand up from the table when Brax stops him.

"This won't take long, and you never seem to have time to talk to me anymore since you got with Phoebe." Brax says.

"What would I need to talk to you about?" Kyle asks.

"Well I don't know, you just used to talk to me all the time and now you basically ignore me every chance you get. And it's been ever since Phoebe turned up." Brax says.

"That's not true." Kyle glares.

"Then why're you also acting as if you were never in a relationship with Victoria since Phoebe turned up?" Brax asks.

"I'm not, it's just that Phoebe doesn't like it when she's mentioned." Kyle shrugs.

"I know exes are never something people like talking about in new relationships, but acting as if it never happened isn't going to help things." Brax says.

"It's the only way I can move on from Victoria and things are going great with Phoebe." Kyle defends himself.

"You know, I spoke to Victoria last week, I bumped into her down on the beach. After she heard you were looking for her, she went looking for you so you could both talk about things. Then she saw you getting cosy with Phoebe and changed her mind." Brax says. "I think if Phoebe wasn't around, you and Vic could have worked through things and been happy together again."

"Well I'm with Phoebe now, and Victoria should have just swallowed her pride to come and speak to me instead of making a big deal out of it to you."

"What's happened to you?" Brax asks. "You loved Victoria more than anything, and for your information, she wasn't making a big deal out of it."

"So I'm the problem now, am I?"

"I never said that!" Brax groans. "I just want to know why you've changed so much over the past couple weeks. You used to be a great guy, but now I can barely recognise you. And now, I don't think this change is good, but hey, what would I know?" Brax scoffs.

"Are you seriously being like this just because I don't talk to you anymore?" Kyle asks. "So I don't go on about my past to you anymore or talk to you about things, big deal!"

"You don't actually talk to me about anything. I mean, we're brothers and you can barely say a word to me anymore. Have I done something to piss you off, or am I not giving into your every demand anymore like you want me to?"

"I don't even have any demands!" Kyle shakes his head.

"So you don't tell me that you're not going to be working shifts so you can go and hang out with Phoebe, leaving me understaffed? You don't make things so unbearable for me at work so I demote you to being a normal waiter working little hours so you can hang out with Phoebe?" Brax asks. "Now correct me if I'm wrong, but there seems to be a common denominator in all this, and that's Phoebe."

"You don't know what you're talking about." Kyle glares.

"Don't I?" Brax asks.

"You're being pathetic." Kyle shakes his head before storming out of the front door, barging into Casey on the way out.

"What's got him in a mood?" Casey asks, throwing his bag down on the floor.

"Don't worry about it." Brax says. "You good?" He asks, noticing something off with him.

"No, actually I'm not." Casey says. "I'm moving to the farmhouse with Denny and don't worry, it's not going to be all the time."

"What the hell are you talking about? You both live here." Brax frowns.

"Oh, so you didn't know?" Casey laughs.

"Know what?"

"Phoebe has taken a huge disliking to Denny and is trying to break us up. We didn't think anything of it in the beginning but it's been getting worse over the last couple days. Denny can't stand living under the same roof as that bitch, so we're going to be staying at the farmhouse so we can avoid her. Anytime Phoebe's away, we'll come back and stay here but I doubt that will be often." Casey says.

"You can't be serious!" Brax shakes his head.

"Deadly. If Kyle doesn't get control of his chick, things between us are going to go south again because I will not have Phoebe belittle Denny the way she was. Denny is ten times the woman she'll ever be and I don't care what I've got to do to prove that." Casey firmly says. "We lived here first but Phoebe made it very clear she wasn't going to be moving out unless Kyle went with her, and apparently he has no intentions of going anywhere. I would ask you to talk to Kyle about it, but he's ignored you since he got with her."

"I did just try talking to him but you saw how well it went. Turns out he's pretending to have never been in a relationship with Victoria just because Phoebe doesn't like the fact that they were together." Brax says.

"Seriously, what's her problem with us? Casey shakes his head. "Next she'll be trying to turn Kyle against us!"

"I don't think I'll put it past her, but Kyle would never listen to her. We're his family, she's just the chick he thinks he's in love with."

"Just look how easy she found it to break up Kyle and Victoria, I wouldn't put it past her to try driving a wedge between him and us as well." Casey says. "I made it clear I wasn't going to break up with Denny just because she wanted me to, but would Kyle make it clear that he wouldn't believe lies about us if she was to try?"

"I don't know, Case!" Brax sighs. "I've got enough to worry about trying to get Kyle to see that he needs his job, I don't want to think about what else she's capable of. Kyle knows his worth now, his relationship with Victoria helped with that, so I don't think she'd be able to turn him against us."

"Well just know that if Phoebe keeps coming between me and Denny, then I'm out for good." Casey says.

"You don't have to move out, you can just ignore her and she'll move onto something else."

"We've already tried that, Brax, it's not working. I'll speak to Denny and see if we can try a few more days here but I really don't think it's going to work."

"Yeah."

"What does Heath think about all this considering we've got complaints?" Casey asks.

"I don't know. I haven't really seen him around the last couple days. Him and Bianca are trying to prove to Darcy that they're happy together, despite the arguments they had before that work trip." Brax says. "I'm sure him or Bianca would speak up if they were having problems with Phoebe as well."

"I don't think they would, you know they don't want to get involved in stuff that will cause problems anymore. They said they were going to focus on themselves from now on."

"Then I'll talk to Heath next time I see him and ask if he's noticed anything or has had any run-ins with Phoebe." Brax says.

"Where is she, if she's not glued to Kyle's side?"

"Apparently Kyle was due to be meeting her at the diner, so I'm guessing she was meddling around town." Brax shrugs.

"Right well I better go and find Denny to see if we can come to some sort of arrangement over where we live. Although I'm not going to guarantee that it's going to be here, Phoebe said some really harsh stuff to her." Casey says.

"Okay." Brax nods, trying to think of ways he could bring peace back within his family, but he was doubting how well any of it would work.
