Hello, bots and cons, heroes and villains. Centurion Maximo here and welcome back to Young Justice: Their War, Our World. In the last chapter, we started with the Vlatava arc, which ended with the Team, Perdita, Bumblebee, Jazz, Arcee, and Windstrike went through a ground bridge to Perdita's home country. We also got a cute scene between Clark and Lois.

*Outer Space. Unknown Time*

The Decepticon fleet was still on its way toward Earth. The lone cruiser still on Thrull was transporting Energon to the Nemesis, first and foremost via a space bridge. "Report, Blackout." Megatron ordered.

"We are nearing the planet Earth every megacycle, Lord Megatron." Blackout bowed. "Unfortunately, we haven't managed to establish communications with any Decepticons on Earth."

"Soundwave." Megatron said simply. Soundwave began working on improving the communications.

"Dreadwing, Skyquake, I want you two to check on the troops and make sure they're ready for combat at all times." Megatron said.

"Yes, Lord Megatron." Dreadwing and Skyquake bowed and went off to perform their task.

*Bialya. Underneath Queen Bee's Palace. 23:34 pm*

Queen Bee had just finished showing the three Insecticons around a massive underground area underneath her palace. It was a massive reservoir of water and it was moist which seemed perfect to the trio. "You didn't tell us you had this, this." Shrapnel stated.

"I was saving it as a surprise for you three." Queen Bee smirked.

A ground bridge opened up and Venomsting, Wreckage, and Blackalert walked through with several Insecticon pods, planting them into the ground. "There. Now, your main hive will be here and you'll still have the hive in Demon Swamp." Wreckage said.

"Even better news." Bombshell responded. "However, we should warn you, without us to direct them, they will be feral."

"Really?" Queen Bee raised an eyebrow.

"Insecticons aren't really a Decepticon subgroup. We're a naturally occurring species of Cybertronian life." Bombshell added, shocking Queen Bee. "Shrapnel, Kickback, and I are more evolved members of the species, learning how to transform and everything."

"Very curious." Queen Bee brought a hand to her chin.

A few Insecticon Swarmers came through the ground bridge and immediately began making themselves at him in the reservoir. One of them made their way to Queen Bee and began sniffing her. Then, it began rubbing its head against her hand. Chuckling, she began rubbing its head. "It seems that one likes you."

*Vlatava Outskirts. Team & Autobots. 04:12 am*

The Team, Perdita, Bumblebee, Jazz, Arcee, and Windstrike passed through the ground bridge and they were in Perdita's country. "Close to my home." Perdita muttered. "Why are we out here?"

"Strategy, Perdita." Arcee answered. "We don't want to be too close, lest Vertigo detects us with anything new he might've added."

"Luckily, the Bioship is on standby and ready to fly in if needed." Miss Martian said.

"We're determined to free your country." Jazz smiled.

"Thank you. I know it won't be easy." Perdita sighed.

"Well, let's get going." Bumblebee said as he transformed to vehicle mode along with the other three bots. Robin hopped on his R-Cycle and sped off while Kid Flash ran with his best friend, Miss Martian flew off while Superboy, Zatanna, Techwerx, and Artemis went into Arcee and the team was on their way.

Later, they reached one of the ground entrances into the kingdom. Once there, they saw something different, at least according to Perdita. "Those weren't there before."

"Looks like the Decepticons have given Vertigo one of their toys: Quad-Turrets." Windstrike growled. "Those things are bad news."

"How are we gonna get past them?" Kid Flash asked.

Robin was already on it, trying to hack the Cybertronian weapons. "Come on, come on…"

Inside the palace, Vertigo was actually watching the hero group from a secret camera within the walls with his three new personal guards: Acro, Flare, and Derby. "Just as expected, Acro." Vertigo commented.

"What should we do, your highness?" Acro bowed.

"Let them think they have the advantage." Vertigo ordered. "We will crush these peasants when the time is right."

"How, sir?" Flare asked.

"Don't worry, Flare." Vertigo smirked. "Derby, is the countermeasure ready?"

"Ready and waiting, my king." Derby bowed.

"Very good. Get to your positions and await my command." Vertigo ordered.

"Yes, my king!" The trio bowed and took their leave. Vertigo took the minutes alone to grin.

"Everything is going according to plan so far." Vertigo thought in his head. "Thank God for thinking ahead. I can't wait to test my new headpiece."

Back with the group, Robin sported a small smile, having finally managed to hack through the security cameras. "Alright. We're in." The others smiled along with him. Keeping their stealth tech in place and in vehicle mode respectively, they made their way into Vlatava.

"My home." Perdita allowed herself to smile slightly, being back in her home, but knew she couldn't fully relax as Vertigo had to be dethroned.

"We'll succeed, your majesty." Kid Flash put a reassuring hand on her shoulder.

Suddenly, multiple fireballs fell from the sky and created a ring around the group. "What the hell?!" Superboy exclaimed. Unfortunately, Miss Martian was quickly feeling the effects of the ring of fire, falling to her knees.

Just as Superboy was about to help her up, Frost Vortex flew in and created a ginormous ring of ice around the fire ring with only one way in and out. Then, King Veritgo walked through the fire like it was nothing followed by his three Metahuman guard. "Vertigo." Kid Flash growled.

"That's King Vertigo to you, peasants." Vertigo corrected. "Ah, Perdita. You survived after all."

"No thanks to you." Perdita growled.

"While you were away, I saved this country, helping it expand beyond what it was." Vertigo smirked.

"You mean brainwashing the population into thinking I willingly abandoned my home?!" Perdita screamed. "That I would leave my people in your hands?!"

Vertigo didn't falter from the young girl's screaming. "Please, Perdita. You were in no condition to lead this country. I was the perfect replacement."

"He's right!" Flare added. "You weren't here when a horrible plague was sweeping across Vlatava. King Vertigo here came in with the cure!"

"There you have it, Perdita. Now, to ensure that none of you escape." Suddenly, Vertigo activated his headpiece, making the group grasp their hands in great pain. Even the four Autobots had to transform to robot modes to grasp their headplates.

"Damn it!" Bumblebee groaned. "How is Vertigo affecting us?!"

"Arcee, get out of here! One of us should make it out to tell Optimus Prime what's happening here!" Jazz insisted.

Contemplating it, Arcee nodded and fighting through the pain, made her way through the ice barrier. While she was making her escape, the rest of the group couldn't bear the pain any longer and fell unconscious. The Vlatavan Military arrived about four minutes later. "Put these peasants in the holding cells, but leave Perdita with me." The three young metahumans bowed and started taking the Team away. "These three Autobots will be taken somewhere different, unerstand?" The military saluted and began wrapping up Bumblebee, Jazz, and Windstrike. All the while, Vertigo was grinning knowing that he'd won, complete with the only threat to his rule in his posession.

*Nevada. Venomsting's Laboratory. 11:00 am*

Poison Ivy hissed in slight pain as Venomsting extracted her blood. "There we go. That wasn't so bad, was it?"

"Very funny." Poison Ivy deadpanned. "So, will it work?"

"This is honestly the first time I've seen human and plant DNA mixed together. I have no guarentee, but I'll do my very best." Venomsting reassured, making Poison Ivy genuinely smile for the first time in a long time.

Hello, everyone. I hope everyone liked this chapter of Young Justice: Their War, Our World. This is the second chapter of the Vlatava arc. Things aren't really going well for the heroes. Even though it looks like the heroes have the upper hand on this mission, it turned out that King Vertigo knew exactly what they were doing. In the end, the group gets captured except for Arcee, testing out a new headpiece that can actually attack Cybertronians.

Even worse, Venomsting has successfully extracted Poison Ivy's blood and DNA to follow through on the offer made to her.
