Chapter 40 The Guide
Sean and the others were arriving at the Eastern Air Temple where Tenzin and his family were at before they landed in front of them.
"What are you guys doing here?" Turok asked as Meelo was tied up held upside down.
"What are you doing to Meelo?" Korra asked confused.
"Punishing him." Pema said glaring at her son.
"What he do now?" Sean asked.
"He said clones aren't real people." Turok said.
"What?" Sean asked annoyed.
"But they aren't You can't buy a real person." Meelo said before yelling as Sean used force lightning on him.
"You are a worthless moron who will die a virgin." Sean said.
"I question if you even truly raised him right." Tarkin said making Tenzin sigh.
"So why are you here?" Omega asked.
"We have a huge problem." Korra said.
One explanation later
"So Avatar Wan imprisoned this Vaatu in the spirit world when he became the First Avatar?" Tenzin asked.
"Yes and Surik says he wants to merge with him to access these Lay Lines in order to control everyone in the universe." Korra said.
"I knew he was hungry for power but I never realized he would go this far to do so. But how does he even know about the Lay lines?" Tenzin asked.
"That doesn't matter. The fact is he does and he will use them to make the universe to his liking. Everyone will lose their free will." Korra said.
"So what do you plan to do? The Sith already have the means of opening them so closing them would be pointless when they can just open them again." Tenzin said.
"According to Surik theres someone in the spirit world who can help me." Korra said.
"Who?" Tenzin said.
"I don't know. But I think I'll find who I'm looking for when I'm there. But I can't go there the physical way. I need a way there the spiritually way." Korra said.
"A journey to the spirit world? I can help with that. But understand the spirit world is more dangerous than the Clone wars. The Laws there are slippery and elusive." Tenzin said.
"I know but we don't have much time." Korra said.
Meanwhile
"What do you mean they just left?" Unalaq asked Malak.
"They left Republic City. It's possible they know your ambition to merge with Vaatu to give us the edge we need to destroy the Legion." Malak said.
"Hmm. Korra is connected to her past lives. The first Avatar must have warned them about my plans. Which means we must accelerate our own." Unalaq said.
"As long the Legion forces are stretched thin at the moment we have nothing to fear." Malgus said.
"I'm more than willing to bet Kruger still has allies he can call for backup." Unalaq said.
"Without High tech millitary forces the odds of them pulling that off are impossible." Malak said.
Later
"You two couldn't have picked a better place to enter the spirit world. This is the most spiritual of all the Air Temples. In face this is where my father..." Tenzin tried to say.
"Your wasting time." Korra said amused by his ramblings.
"Oh. Sorry." Tenzin said.
Soon all three were in a meditation stance with Ikki and Meelo trying to help them out with some instruments.
Just one small problem.
"I don't think this is working since I ain't there yet." Sean said.
"Me either." Korra said.
"I would be if Meelo would ring his bell at the appropriate intervals." Tenzin said.
"Aww, Did I do it wrong?" Meelo asked.
"Let's try something else." Tenzin said leaving.
"I thought your bell ringing was just fine." Korra said making Sean scoff.
"You realize your complimenting the brat who thinks Clones aren't real people." Sean said.
"But they aren't. Their just tools." Meelo said before yelling as Ikki gave him a wedgie. (Meelo would do something like this He's a moron)
"Moron." Sean said.
"By the way where are the kids?" Turok asked.
"We left them with Oola and the others." Sean said.
"They are in good hands." Tarkin said.
This time they tried a different spot by the cliffs with some smoke around them to help.
"Ok this is not working." Sean said blasting the sticks away. "None of this bullshit is even working a little. What the hell?" Sean asked annoyed.
"Kya you set it up all wrong." Tenzin said.
"Hey I did exactly what you said. Not my fault" Kya said offended.
"Now the moment is ruined." Tenzin said walking away.
"Does Tenzin seem as though he's having difficulties with this?" Tarkin asked his son.
"Yeah. What about it?" Sean asked.
"For someone who says he's been there he seems to be having trouble helping you both." Tarkin said.
"Sometimes even those who have done things like this have trouble at times." Sean said walking away.
Thats when he spotted Jinora looking out in the distance.
"Jinora? What are you looking at?" Tarkin asked.
"Nothing." Jinora said running off making him raise an eyebrow.
Once again the three were trying in a temple this time around.
"Focus, you two." Tenzin said.
"We are." Sean said.
"No talking." Tenzin said.
"Will you please shut the hell up." Sean said getting annoyed.
"Feel the energy of the universe." Tenzin said.
"Okay, I feel it." Korra said.
"Korra, Really! I'm trying to concentrate here!" Tenzin said shocking her as he stood up. "I don't think this location is going to work either." Tenzin said frustrated.
"Ok thats it." Tarkin said walking in.
"Look I..." Tenzin tried to say.
"You've never actually been in the spirit world have you?" Tarkin asked.
"Huh?" Korra asked.
"He claims he has and yet he can't get the both of you there. I think he's been lying to everyone because he couldn't accept this." Tarkin said.
"Thats ridicules. He's been there before. Said so himself...Right Tenzin?" Korra asked unsure as he looked down.
"Actually...Tarkin is right. I've never been to the spirit world." Tenzin said shocking them.
"Please tell me I did not just hear that?" Sean asked annoyed.
"YOU of all people have never been to the spirit world?" Korra asked in disbelief.
"But you used to spend days in the temple meditating." Pema said.
"Trying to get in...It never happened. It's my greatest shortcoming as an Airbender, spiritual leader, and son of Aang." Tenzin said as Bumi laughed.
"Welcome to the I disappoint Dad club." Bumi said.
"If you've never been to the spirit world, how are you planning to get Korra and Sean there?" Kya asked.
"I've spent years studying the techniques and theories of ancient spiritual leaders. Now that the Avatar needs me, It must be my time." Tenzin said.
"Tenzin the convergence is days away. We don't have much time." Korra said.
"I know. But you must trust me." Tenzin said.
"Perhaps there is another solution that can help us get there faster." Tarkin said looking at Jinora. "Is there something you wish to tell them?" Tarkin asked.
"Jinora? She is too young and untrained to have any knowledge about spiritual matters." Tenzin said.
"Actually, I think I do know where they need to go to get into the spirit world." Jinora said.
"Oh yeah? And how would you know that?" Sean asked curious.
"My spirit friends showed me." Jinora said before bunny spirits with dragonfly wings appeared.
"Ok I'm impressed." Korra said.
"I had a feeling she was hiding something. I saw her looking out into the distance but saw nothing. now we know why." Tarkin said.
"How long have you been able to do this?" Sean asked.
"I don't know. I guess I've always kind of had a connection with spirits." Jinora said as a blue one laid on Bumi making him laugh.
"I think this one likes me." Bumi said.
"Are they here to help?" Korra asked.
"I think they want you go down there." Jinora said as they went somewhere.
"I don't know. The Spiritual energy is historically strongest near the temple." Tenzin said.
"No offense, but I'm guessing the spirits have actually been to the spirit world, So we're gonna follow them." Korra said.
"If we need to go to the Tenzin world, we'll call you." Bumi teased making him frown.
"Better his world than one like yours full of crazy antics." Tarkin said making him frown while Tenzin smirked.
"I seriously hate you sometimes." Bumi said.
"As If he's never heard that before." Sean said before seeing a rock like board making him grin. "Why don't the two of us go down in style." Sean said picking up Korra.
(Insert Stop the Rock from Apollo 440)
"Wait what are you?" Korra asked before Sean slammed the board down before they raced down the hill making Korra burst out laughing.
Omega laughed before Turok picked her up as they got on Nexo who roared before charging down after them.
Tarkin chuckled lightly.
"Some things never change." Tarkin said.
Korra laughed as they raced down the hill.
"Pretty cool huh?" Sean asked before Nexo was right next to them.
"Hello!" Turok yelled as Omega laughed.
"First one down wins." Sean said as they came to a cave before going on as Sean circled the walls making Korra laugh.
Turok whistled before Nexo ran faster.
"Oh no you don't!" Sean yelled as they came to a slope going down faster making Korra cheer.
"Their moving too fast." Omega said before they saw where the spirits were at.
"Not fast enough!" Turok yelled before Next took a long Jump making Omega scream before they landed just as Sean and Korra came down.

"Ok that is flat out cheating." Korra said.
"Playing fair only gets you so far as dad always taught us." Turok said before Tenzin and the others on Oogi landed.
"Where are we anyway?" Omega asked.
"Check it out." Sean said seeing some ancient stones with Air bending symbols on them.
"This is an ancient airbender meditation circle." Tenzin said.
"There's a lot of spiritual energy in this place, but it feels really strange." Jinora said.
"We'll have to perform a spiritual cleansing ceremony." Tenzin said.
"What are you talking about?" Bumi asked.
"Dad taught it to me. This site has been neglected for many years. A cleansing ceremony will help strengthen its connection to the spirit world." Tenzin said.
Tenzin got started on the ritual before the spirits left.
"So if Unalaq wants to control these lay lines how come the Jedi don't know anything about them?" Kya said.
"During the Civil war period a lot of information was lost. And as time goes by so does certain information." Sean said.
"But how can Unalaq tap into it?" Omega asked.
"Most likely because of Vaatu his connection is intensified. Raava is more than likely the reason Korra has such a high connection and he believes Vaatu will give him the same connection." Tarkin said before the ground shook and hundreds of Dark spirts came out.
"AHHH! EVIL BATS!" Bumi yelled.
"Not bats! Dark Spirits!" Korra yelled as they ran for cover.
Both Sean and Korra used the force to calm them down before they vanished.
"How'd you learn to do that?" Tenzin asked.
"Unalaq is unbalancing the spirits. Thats why the keep coming like this lately." Korra said.
"I always knew he had dark intentions. Especially..." Tenzin tried to say before Tarkin's look shut him up.
"What?" Sean asked.
"Nothing." Tenzin said.
Later
Tenzin was once again trying to concentrate to get into the spirit world.
And thats when Bumi started poking him with a stick.
"You in the spirit world yet?" Bumi asked making him annoyed.
"No, I am no, and stop bugging me." Tenzin said airbending the stick away.
"Enough. You have wasted enough of our time with your foolish pride. Jinora can lead them both in and find the information we need in order to stop Unalaq and the Sith empire." Tarkin said.
"Easy dad." Sean said.
"He's wasting little time we have because he can't accept he can't get in. Not everyone can do everything." Tarkin said.
"He's right." Tenzin said getting their attention. "Perhaps I will never truly be like my father was." Tenzin said.
"Not everyone can be like their parents." Turok said.
Soon Jinora was helping both Sean and Korra into the spirit world before they suddenly appeared there.
"The Spirit world." Korra said smiling.
"Nice." Sean said.
Meanwhile
"It's only a matter of time before the other portal is opened up. And once that happens the Universe will be ours." Unalaq said to Vaatu who was still imprisoned in the tree of time.
"Unless Raava gets in the way. And this other one. This Kruger you spoke of. They are the more concerning parts of your plan." Vaatu said.
"They will not stop us. They can't even get into the spirit world." Unalaq said.
"Then why is it I sense Raava's Presence?" Vaatu asked shocking him. "They have just entered the spirit world." Vaatu said.
