Chapter 46 The Citadel
"So uh...Let me get this straight. You decided to abandon your cruiser and both Master Piel...And my father?" Sean asked a Jedi who he despised for years.
Atris.
Atris had on more than one occasion had suggested Sean and Korra be kicked out of the Order out of fear because of who his father was and because she believed the Avatar Cycle was an abomination.
Now here she stood before the Legion and Jedi council.
"I don't need to answer to you." Atris said before gasping as she started to choke from him.
'Is this really necessary?' Daughter asked.
'She abandoned his father what do you think?' Son asked.
'Mmm.' Daughter said.
"You better have a good reason." Sean said.
"We were going to lose I told them to abandon the ship. They would not listen because they needed to memorize the Nexus route." Atris said shocking them.
"They found the Nexus Route? And you fucking left them!" Sean yelled.
"I had no choice. They were being commanded by Magneto. What choice did I have?" Atris asked.
"To stay and help!" Korra yelled.
"I don't need to be lectured from you two! You both never should have been part of the order. Changing our ways to your own needs." Atris said.
"You're the one who spread those rumors about us wanting them on the Jedi council. Aren't you?" Mace asked.
"And what if I am. I beg all of you to see reason. Kill him and expel her from the order. Then we can return back to our old ways. The right ways." Atris said.
"No. And you are no longer part of the order. You are selfish and incapable of accepting change." Mundi said shocking her before she was escorted out.
"I'm putting together a rescue team for them. Get me members of the Task force, X men and Baldur." Sean said.
"Right." Anakin said.
"I don't believe this. How selfish is she?" Korra asked.
"Very." Sean said.
Later
Sean along with his assembled team were going over the plan and the citadel.
"So what is this place anyway?" Woods asked.
"The Citadel was once controlled by the Jedi order. It was built for any Jedi who lost their way. But now it is in the hands of the empire." Kenobi said.
"And since the Data is very old the map we have is very hard to rely on." Sean said.
"We've worked with Less." Price said.
"This is different though. The planet even if they escaped would be impossible to escape from. However we know for a fact that both Master Piel and Grand Governor Tarkin are still alive." Kenobi said.
"Why? Why not just kill them? Send a crippling blow to the Legion." Baldur said.
"Because of the information they have. They recently acquired the Nexus Route. Hyperspace lanes that could move past Imperial blockades and help us deliver a crippling blow to their operations." Sean said.
"Or be used against us and get the same results." Korra said.
"So essentially it's important that we rescue them before they crack." Soap said.
"Aye. Thats why members of the Task force are here. Price, Woods, Hudson, Adler, Soap and Taylor are here along with Wolverine and Colossus and Baldur." Sean said.
"Still getting past that blockade won't be easy." Korra said.
"I got an idea for that." Anakin said.
"Thats all. Get everything you need." Sean said.
Walking outside Sean and Anakin walked the halls.
"You sure bringing in Ahsoka is a good idea?" Anakin asked.
"Have some faith in her. She can fit in any vents and get us out of dangerous situations. Stop being a helicopter parent." Sean said.
"Oh what? And you aren't with Jinora?" Anakin asked annoyed.
"Nope. I got full faith in her abilities. Besides...She'd kill me if I didn't." Sean said making her snort.
'I find it abusive to be sleeping with your own student.' Daughter said.
'You're just saying that because you never slept with anyone.' Sean said making her stutter while her brother chuckled.
'Ouch.' Son said making her glare at him.
Later
Sean and the others were in a Carbonite freezing chamber.
"Carboon freezing? Have you lost your mind?" Sean asked in shock.
"Hey it works. This way we can get past the scanners without them detecting us." Anakin said. (It's amusing how he suggests this years before he decided to test it on Han)
"Oh brother. This is gonna suck." Turok said.
"Get over it." Jinora said as she went to her master. "I better get something out of this when we get back." Jinora said making him grin.
"I can think of something." Sean said as she smirked.
'No absolutely not!' Daughter said.
'You realize I can just block you out right?' Sean asked making her grumble.
Soon Sean and the others were frozen in Carbonite before being transported on an Imperial drop ship which was stolen before it flew away.
"They'll be just fine." Avatar Sean said to Sifo-Dyas.
"I hope so." Dyas said.
Later
Soon the drop ship exited Hyper Space before it saw the blockade.
Getting past the scanners that scanned for Life forms worked like Anakin suggested.
Arriving on the planet far from the Facility HK and R2 unfroze everyone.
"Oh god." Woods said.
"That was very unpleasant." Korra said.
"It got us here though." Anakin said.
"You're lucky I don't have Nexo with me or he'd tear you apart." Turok said.
"Get over it." Sean said as they got the supplies.
"Question: What do you wish us to do now?" HK asked.
"Wait here for our signal." Sean said as they left.
Arriving at a wall they saw a door above.
"wind conditions are too strong for Jet packs." Cody said.
"Yeah. We're gonna have to use cables." Hudson said.
"Think again. Look." Baldur said making them look seeing mines on the place.
"And theres no place to grapples up there." Sean said.
"Meaning we have to do this the old fashioned way." Korra said.
Inside
Creed was looking over everything that was going on in the facility when an alert came up.
"What is it?" Sabertooth asked.
"A cargo ship was cleared but never arrived." A droid said making him frown.
Outside
The men continued to climb before droids came at the entry point.
"Stop." Sean said quietly stopping them all as they searched around before leaving and activated a Ray shield.
"They activated a Ray shield." Korra said.
"That wasn't in the plan." Anakin said.
"It is now." Sean said as Ahsoka climbed up.
"I see a shaft. I think I can fit in there." Ahsoka said.
"Go." Sean said as she climbed up to the top before going inside and deactivated the shield.
"Nice work." Sean said coming up top as she smirked at him.
"I do my best." Ahsoka said.
One of the clones was near the top when the rock he held fell off and he screamed as he fell on one of the mines.
"Fuck." Adler said as alarms went off.
"They know we're here now." Baldur said.
"Let's get them and get out." Sean said as they rushed inside.
Creed growled seeing the Legion was here.
"This time I'll get payback!" Creed said as Dark troopers arrived.
Later
Piel was being interrogated by some droids and Sith in the room.
"You decide when the pain stops. Just give me the information" The droid said.
"No droid will ever break me." Piel said.
"Say goodbye to your one good eye." The Droid said about to stab it.
Only for Sean and Turok to rush in and cut the droid down before killing the Sith.
"Secure the room." Korra said freeing him.
"Master Piel? Are you all right?" Sean asked.
"Kruger. What took you so long?" Piel asked making them scoff in amusement.
"At least your sense of humor is still intact. Do you have the information?" Sean asked.
"Yes...Half." Piel said.
"Half?" Korra asked.
"When we were boarded Tarkin and I both memorized half of it. After we erased the computers." Piel said.
"Smart. This way incase one of you did crack they wouldn't have the rest. Where is he?" Sean asked.
"Being held with the other officers along with the other Jedi here." Piel said.
"Other Jedi? What other Jedi?" Kenobi asked.
"Rangiku, Kazehana, Saeko, Jade, Atris's student Briannna and the Twins Tiplee and Tiplar." Piel said.
"Figures's Atris abandoned her own student. And she says we're the bad guys." Korra said.
"Let's go." Sean said.
Meanwhile
In a large containment room where several prisoners and Jedi were being held a Sith heard something.
"What was that?" She asked before opening the door only to get her head blown off by Woods with a Shotgun before the next hard his head cut off.
"Took you long enough." Tarkin said amused as Sean and Turok rushed in.
"Atris left some details out." Sean said freeing him before noticing collars on Rangiku and the other Jedi.
"They prevent them from using the force. Like your inhibitors but much stronger." Tarkin said as Sean cut them off before handing them lightsabers.
"Thank you hun." Kazehana said.
"Now that you've got us out how do you plan to get us out of this facility. If they follow procedure theres hundreds of Dark troopers on the way. It's going to be impossible to escape without heavy causalities." Tarkin said.
"That is why we're going to split up. This way they'll divide their forces and give us a better chance. That and to make sure they don't get the information on the Nexus route." Sean said.
"Are you sure thats a wise idea? Better numbers mean better chance." Tarkin said.
"Numbers aren't everything. Skill and experience are a better weapon." Price said.
"Very true. Very well." Tarkin said as they went in separate directions.
Sean and his team arrived at a wall before Sean started cutting it with his Power Sword making a hole for them as they walked outside the facility.
"The advantages of Old Archive data." Hevy said.
"If things go according to plan Kenobi and Korra will meet us at the landing platform where HK will meet us." Sean said.
"According to plan." Anakin said.
"It's when things don't go according to plan that concerns me. What then?" Tarkin asked.
"It's when things don't go according to plan we Jedi are at our best. Have a little faith." Anakin said.
"I reserve my trust for those who take action." Tarkin said.
"Then let me remind you. We rescued you." Anakin said walking away making him smirk.
"Some things never change." Sean said amused.
"So what exactly did Atris tell you?" Tarkin asked.
"She said that Magneto was there and that it was a lost battle." Sean said.
"Magneto was never there. There were no magnetic signatures of his anywhere. No, we were ambushed by newly developed Dark Troopers who had ray shields like the destroyers. It made it impossible to destroy them." Tarkin said.
"So she lied again." Sean said before looking at Brianna who held her head down. "Guess she's depressed her own master abandoned her." Sean said.
"Which is to be expected. The betrayal of one who teaches you is not something one gets over easily. Your Olympian Counterpart would know." Tarkin said.
"Aye. So when we get back and use that data what do we do first?" Sean asked.
"I haven't decided yet but I believe we should use it to launch a surprise attack on Scarif when we have everything in order." Tarkin said.
"I have an idea for that one." Sean said before contacting HK.
"Ah, Master It is good to hear from you." HK said.
"Likewise. Anyway get the ship ready for us. We'll be there soon enough." Sean said.
"Understood." HK said.
"Provided he can actually do it right." Ahsoka said.
"Retort: Bite my shiny metal ass." HK said making her sputter while Sean and the men laughed. (HAHAHA! I couldn't Resist! I love that line so much!)
"HAHAHA! Ok that was good." Sean said making her growl.
Meanwhile
Korra and the others were using the vents to get out of the facility.
"So what did Atris tell you?" Piel asked.
"She said that Magneto was there and it was a losing battle." Kenobi said.
"He was never there." Jade said.
"No?" Korra asked.
"No. New dark troopers were which outmatched us and we were forced to retreat. But she sabotaged all the pods and escaped on her personal fighter." Kazehana said.
"Why am I not fucking surprised." Korra said.
"What do you plan to do with her when this is over?" Jade asked.
"Kill her. She's crossed the line." Korra said as they went up.
Thats when she spotted a probe droid.
"Shit it's a probe droid!" Price yelled as Piel rushed up to cut it.
Only for the doors to start closing.
"Security doors! Move or you'll be cu in half!" Kenobi yelled as they moved.
"I can't!" A clone yelled as the doors started closing.
Only for Colossus to turn metal and prevent it from closing fully on him as Wolverine cut it open.
"Nice work." Korra said.
"We got some cutting to do." Piel said.
Meanwhile
Sabertooth growled as he contacted Malgus and the Sith council.
"What is it you want Creed?" Malgus asked.
"Unfortunately we have a problem." Creed said.
"Deal with it yourself. You have already caused us enough problems by leaving Grashi behind. And she clearly told the Legion everything she knew. In exchange for a pardon no doubt." Malak said.
"Thats the problem. The Legion is here. Somehow they got past our defenses and breached the facility. I don't know how many but I know Kruger's here. This universe's Kruger that is." Sabertooth said.
"Are you sure?" Malgus asked.
"Who else could get past the defenses so easily?" Sabertooth asked.
"True enough. I suppose we have no choice. We'll send all available forced to reinforce the blockade and assist you on the ground. But I warn you. If you fail again you will wish you never came back to life." Malgus said ending his transmission making Sabertooth growl.
Meanwhile
Sean and the others continued on their way to the meeting point.
"I'm beginning to admire the design of this fortress. It's rather formidable to evade." Tarkin said.
"How can you admire such a horrible place?" Ahsoka asked.
"Ah, you reveal your shortsightedness. This ordeal only demonstrates how effective facilities like the Citadel are. Perhaps when this war is over and this alliance between multiple universes grows we can use it to house the worst of the worst. This way they will have no way to escape." Tarkin said.
"That actually does sound like a good idea." Anakin said.
"Yeah. Provided we win this war soon enough." Sean said.
"All we need do is destroy Star Killer base and perhaps a large portion of their forces will be taken out from that battle. That will most likely end the war...Or at least send them back into hiding waiting for us to lower our guard. Which will never happen." Tarkin said.
"I doubt they'll go back into hiding." Sean said.
'You'd be surprised. The Sith are one of the most patient groups you'll ever find.' Son said.
'I unfortunately agree.' Daughter said.
Continuing on their path Sean looked around.
"Something on your mind?" Tarkin asked.
"Hmm? Oh it's nothing just thinking once the war is over...What then? All that manpower we have in both recruits and clones. What happens to them? Most of them won't be that needed." Sean said.
"A good question. I suppose the most likely answer would be to let them decide to be honest. The clones and our original forces helped us make sure the war was in our favor. Once it is over we'll be ending productions." Tarkin said.
"Yeah." Sean said before seeing Jinora and Ahsoka place explosives on a wall before it exploded clearing them a path.
"This pipeline will lead us up to the meeting point." Sean said.
"Please tell me we're not actually going in there." Turok said annoyed.
"Shut up." Sean said hitting his head making him yell.
"Boys." Tarkin said.
"He started it. Anyway this is the only way in." Sean said.
"Great." Hudson said as they opened it up.
"Flashlights and blasters off. We'll set if off if one of those goes off." Sean said.
"I hope someone told the empire that." Tarkin said as they went in.
Meanwhile
Korra and the others made it out of the Tower to meet up with Sean and the others.
"This feels too easy." Jade said.
"Yes...Something is not right." Kenobi said.
"I feel it too." Korra said.
Thats when they looked up and saw the Empire show up in large numbers.
"Looks like Sabertooth called in reinforcements." Piel said.
"Sabertooth?" Logan asked narrowing his eyes.
"Yes. He's the one in charge here. A demotion I believe because he abandoned Grashi on Kamino." Piel said.
"No wonder everything is going so smoothly. He's more brawn than brain." Korra joked.
"Yes, amusing." Kenobi said.
"But it looks like he's not dumb enough to use the forces he has here." Soap said.
"Nope." Logan said.
"Be lucky it's him and not Magneto or we would be in serious trouble." Colossus said.
"Which reminds me. How did they die in the first place?" Kenobi asked.
"Sean killed Magneto himself and turned Creed into dust. I don't know how they brought him back in that state but they did." Logan said.
"Either way we gotta take them down again." Korra said.
"Right. Lets keep moving." Kenobi said.
Meanwhile
HK and R2 were taken captive by Sith warriors and the ship was brought back to the base.
"Suggestion: Jump into the Lava and die." HK said.
"Shut up." One of the Sith said annoyed having heard him for too long.
Meanwhile
Sean and the others came up the top of the pipe before waling to where the meeting point would be.
"How much longer are we to wander through this tunnel in the dark?" Tarkin asked as Sean and Turok took the lead.
"Haven't you learned to trust me by now?" Anakin asked.
"You and a small few others in the order have my trust. But some of your order is now lacking." Tarkin said.
"You lack faith in the Jedi?" Anakin asked.
"Considering the fact one of them flat out abandoned us and sabotaged our means of escape? Yes." Tarkin said.
"Well, I can't blame you for that one." Anakin said.
"Add that to the fact Atris has on multiple attempts tried to have Sean and Korra either kicked out of the order or killed because she fears what she does not understand. Where one feels this way there is no questions others who feel the same but don't say it as she does." Tarkin said.
"True. I'll admit the Order's not perfect. Even before the code changed. Theres always going to be someone in the order who is...Questionable to be there." Anakin said.
"Theres something we can all agree on." Tarkin said.
"Here we are." Turok said going up top and saw a large amount of dark troopers.
"Ah hell." Sean said before Turok sliced them up.
"There could be a hundred Dark troopers out there." Tarkin said.
"Better that than staying in a pipeline." Jinora said as she rushed up.
Sean jumped out before slashing through several droids before Sith warriors also came out as Turok rushed at them before blocking their strikes.
"The plan's been compromised. The Shuttle's not coming." Tarkin said as Sean threw an explosive before it blew along with the pipeline.
"We'll have to go to plan B and meet up with Korra and the others." Sean said.
"And hope the shuttle is still intact." Anakin said.
"You had to jinx us." Turok said.
"What?" Anakin asked.
Meanwhile
Korra and the others were right outside the landing pad seeing the shuttle along with HK and R2 by it.
"Looks like they got captured. Thats why they didn't contact us." Korra said.
"What was your first clue?" Jade asked making her glare.
"Got no choice. We gotta rush it." Soap said.
"Let's move." Korra said as they went in and attacked.
"Statement: I am very pleased to see you Mistress." HK said.
"Likewise. Now start shooting." Korra said handing him his blaster.
"Oh With pleasure." HK said blasting them.
Thats when Sean and the others showed up.
"The hell took you so long?" Korra asked.
"Nice to see you too. We got side tracked by the exploding pipeline." Sean said.
"And I thought Anakin blew stuff up the most." Korra said.
"Hey." Anakin said annoyed.
"We need to launch a full forward assault." Tarkin said.
"Not with those turrets in the way. The second we move most of us are gonna get blasted." Korra said.
"I got an idea for that." Sean said seeing several shields away from them before using the force to bring them to him.
"Perfect. The Shields should be more than enough to repel the turrets. I recommend we divert their attention away from the shuttle so someone can get inside and use the guns to destroy them." Tarkin said.
"Hevy! You and your squad are up!" Sean yelled.
"Yes, sir!" Hevy yelled as they rushed out to divert their attention.
Sean and Korra then rushed to the shuttle and got inside it.
"Ok lets get this done." Sean said as they took off before firing on the turrets.
"A job well done." Tarkin said before the ground shook.
"Oh no. Tell me thats now what I think it is." Turok said annoyed seeing Sentinels before they blasted the shuttle making Sean and Korra jump out quickly as it crashed into one and exploded.
"I fucking hate these things." Sean said annoyed.
"We have no choice. We have to fall back." Anakin said.
Sean yelled as he used the son's power to blast the last one making it explode before they ran off.
Later
"That could have gone better." Tarkin said.
"When I get my hands on Essex I'm gonna rip him apart. Those things were annoying enough in the Mutant Universe. Here? They're even worse." Sean said.
"Yes, We need to find the main factory for them and destroy it." Tarkin said.
"Later. We need to get out of here first." Korra said.
"Ok I talked to the council. Thor will be leading a forward assault on the planet blockade and get us out of here. We'll be meeting them here." Sean said showing a small amount of land between a pool of lava.
"Are we sure they'll be able to get there in time?" Tarkin asked.
"He'll be there. We just need to get there first." Baldur said.
"Which is what we will do no matter what." Sean said.
"Then I suggest we get moving." Kenobi said.
Meanwhile
Sabertooth roared as he slashed the head off a droid.
"Useless! You let them escape!" Sabertooth yelled.
"A problem?" Malgus asked in hologram form.
"These droids let them escape!" Sabertooth yelled.
"And where were you when this happened?" Malgus asked making him snarl.
"This is not my fault. I can't be everywhere at once." Sabertooth said.
"But is your fault since the fact is you left Grashi to die and now she's with the Legion. Get those codes or you will be punished...For the last time." Malgus said ending his transmission making him roar.
Later
Sean and the others were heading to the meeting point when they heard a roar.
"Sounds like Creed is following us himself." Logan said.
"We'll deal with him soon enough." Sean said before they arrived at the location.
"How do you suggest we get across?" Tarkin asked as Sean and Korra held their hands out before a bridge of rock appeared.
"Thats how." Sean said as they rushed forward.
"OH NO YOU DON'T!" Sabertooth roared on a staff with some commando droids before jumping off and charged right at them.
Sean pulled out his Power Sword before avoiding getting slashed by him.
"You can't kill me anyway since I'll just heal." Sean said as he slashed his chest but healed instantly making him growl before grabbing him.
"IF I CAN'T KILL THE KRUGER FROM MY WORLD! I'LL JUST KILL YOU!" Creed roared before.
SLINK!
Creed groaned in pain as he looked down seeing Sean's Power Sword stabbed in him.
"Say hi to Vaatu for me." Sean said as he was slowly absorbed.
"NOOOOOOO!" Creed roared as he slowly vanished into the sword.
"That was satisfying." Logan said grinning.
"Very." Sean said before gunships arrived.
"Need a lift?" Thor asked as they got on just as hundreds of droids did and flew away.
"I got the survivors. Get the fleet underway to move." Thor said.
"Copy that General." Captain Cutter said.
Soon they arrived on the Spirit of fire before leaving the system with the codes.
Later
"A success the mission was. Now in possession of the Nexus coordinates, we are." Yoda said to Sean and the others.
"Yeah. And now Creed is dead so thats one less leader we have to deal with." Sean said.
"Yes. And I'm sure Grashi will appreciate that since she's now fully part of the Legion." Mace said.
"Now that we have the Nexus route we can use this to deliver devastating blows to the Empire. I recommend we hit Scarif first though since we need to know more about this super Weapon they're building." Tarkin said.
"We still need to make preparations. I have something in mind...And a way to get us there without raising an alarm." Sean said.
Later
Chuchi screamed as she was in the middle of delivering.
Sean held her hand tightly.
"UGH!" Chuchi groaned.
"It's all right. Just relax." Sean said kissing her making her groan as she started pushing.
"AHHHHH!" Chuchi screamed before hearing soft crying making her sigh in relief it was over.
"I am not doing this again for a while." Chuchi said making him grin before Ann brought the baby in a blue blanket handing him to his mother.
Chuchi smiled seeing he had a human body with blonde hair before he opened his eyes showing his mother's eyes.
"He's beautiful." Chuchi said kissing him. "Alex Kruger." Chuchi said making the now named Alex giggle at his mother while Sean smiled.
Authors Note: Oh my god I am seriously losing my inspiration for Star Wars. I have like ten times more for the Justice League Crossover next. Hell I've already made a couple chapters to be ready for it. But I will finish this story no matter what! Now regarding the Poll...Amanda won hands down. Glad thats over with.
