Hello, bots and cons. Centurion Maximo here and welcome back to Young Justice: Their War, Our World. In the last chapter, the Forever People of New Genesis arrived on Earth and were allowed to remain there at the end of the chapter. Another point is that Superboy is happier than he has ever been and the New Genisphere has transformed into the Supercycle and is a she. Now, I know I didn't show the Forever People combining into Infinity Man, but I will. That will come close to the end of this story.

However, despite the Forever People being allowed to remain on Earth, they decide not to officially join the Team or League. Instead, they will be their own hero unit. Even so, they will be a big boost.

*Chicago. KSI. 7:00 am*

Joshua was waiting near the underground "Lord Megatron." Joshua bowed. "I appreciate you coming this early in the morning."

"This had better be good, Mr. Joyce." Megatron said calmly.

"Oh, I assure you, my lord. It is. Please come with me." Joshua gestured. Megatron followed the KSI CEO, his footsteps booming throughout the building. They walked until they reached a big room. Within the room, Megatron laid eyes on a large silver robot with a green visor, wrist blades, and feet planted on a pedestal. "What is this?"

"This is our newest robot creation: The Trax. Think of it as a human-made version of your Vehicon drones." Joshua explained.

"Interesting. Does anything make it different from a Vehicon?" Megatron asked.

"Retractable wrist-blades, hidden Laser Blasters of T.O Morrow's design, jump-jet boosters, and a durable endo-frame." Joshua listed off.

"Can it transform?" Megatron added.

"That is the main issue. We have plenty of vehicles, but we don't have the means to get it to transform." Joshua lamented. "Until we can get it to transform, we're stuck at this stage and can't perform mass production."

"This robot doesn't have a T-Cog. That is what lets us scan vehicular modes and transform." Megatron revealed.

"Perhaps, you can lend us one so we can replicate it." Joshua suggested.

"Not possible since the T-Cog isn't a total mechanical part. It's a biomechanism." Megatron waved off.

"That's unfortunate." Joshua began thinking. "Is there a way to get blueprints to the T-Cog? Maybe we can make our own version."

"That may be very difficult for humans alone. I'll have to send Venomsting, but she's busy with the ones abducted before I arrived." Megatron remembered. "I'd rather not tear her away from that."

"Are there other scientists with you?" Joshua raised an eyebrow.

"The only other one is the Insecticon Bombshell." Megatron brought up. "Perhaps he can help you with your dilemma."

"That would be most appreciated, Lord Megatron." Joshua bowed again. "What is your opinion of the Trax?"

"My opinion is incomplete until it can transform and mass produce it." Megatron answered.

"I see." Joshua decided to change the subject. "How is Project: Andromeda?"

"Now, that project is 75 percent complete." Megatron gained a smile.

*Happy Harbor. Mount Justice. 8:12 am*

Diana was just sitting, lamenting on how they hadn't found any trace of the people the Machination abducted. Bruce walked up to her after finding her. "Diana?"

"Huh?" She turned and saw Bruce standing there. "Oh, hi, Bruce."

"Are you okay?" Bruce asked in concern.

"I'll feel better when we have any leads to the people the Machination kidnapped." Diana revealed.

"We'll find them, Diana. I promise." Bruce held Diana's hand for a second which she smiled. Bruce then left as quickly as he appeared.

Diana turned and jumped, seeing Jazz standing right beside her left. "Jazz! What are you doing?"

"You know, all you have to do is tell him how you feel, dig?" Jazz smirked.

"It's not that simple, Jazz." Diana blushed. "I… I…"

"You're nervous of rejection." Jazz guessed.

"Bruce has gone through so much in his life." Diana said. "However, in the time I've worked with him protecting Earth, I've developed feelings for him."

"Then tell him before time runs out." Jazz insisted. "I saw how you were when Bludgeon killed him."

"Diana shuddered at the horrible memory. "Please don't remind me. I was torn up until Optimus Prime revived him."

"Proved how dangerous Bludgeon is, despite that being the first time he's fought on this planet." Jazz added.

"We have to win this war." Diana said with conviction.

"Agreed. If we lose, it's the end of everything." Jazz reminded. "Where is the Team, by the way."

"They're investigating a potential lead on the Machination in the Amazon Jungle." Diana answered.

*Brazil. Amazon Jungle. 10:00 am*

Aqualad had just come out of the river after a quick checking for any Machination leads. So far, unfortunately, there was still nothing. "No leads in the Amazon River." He informed.

"Alright. We have to keep looking." Robin added. "Let's head further down the river system." What they didn't realize was that they were being watched by a young, 19-year old girl with long, green hair with purple eyes, peach skin, and long purple nails wearing a tarnished uniform of some sort.

"Moving down the river, eh?" She muttered to herself as she moved beside them, unseen.

An hour later, the Team still hadn't found anything linked to the Machination, but Superboy's super-hearing went off suddenly. "Someone's been following us for the past hour."

Techwerx immediately brought out her scanner and had it scan for human/metahuman heat signatures. Her scanner detected the person behind some thick foliage. "Superboy's correct. Someone is there."

Hearing that, Kid Flash sped forward and brought the person to them. "Who are you?" Miss Martian asked.

"I'm Elena Demeter." Elena answered. "I've been hiding here for some time now."

"Hiding?" Artemis raised an eyebrow. "From what?"

"Some organization called the Machination." Elena revealed, making the Team go wide-eyed. "I've been running from them since I escaped. They're still hunting me."

"Oh, we know of the Machination. We're trying to find any clues that can lead to them here." Robin responded.

"I see. Are you heroes?" Elena asked, calming down a tad.

"Well, kind of." Kid Flash made a motion with his hand.

"We will protect you until you can get back on your feet." Crimson Knight declared quietly.

Elena giggled lightly at Crimson Knight's declaration while everyone else, even Kid Flash rolled his eyes. "Well, aren't you chilvarous?" After being helped up, she continued to talk. "Rumor has it that this Machination has created a sub-organization called Blackwatch."

"Blackwatch?" Miss Martian repeated.

"Yeah." Elena nodded. "Blackwatch is supposed to be made up of soldiers that deserted their armies as they weren't content with how complacent their militaries have become with the Justice League around."

"Okay, that makes sense somewhat." Robin put a hand to his chin. "We have to let the others know about this." He looked at Elena. "You're welcome to come with us."

"I'd like that. I feel I'm safe with you guys." Elena smiled.

"However, you'll need a Hero name." Kid Flash smirked.

Elena thought for a minute before deciding. "Verdant."

*Pacific Ocean. Jurassic Island. 600 Kilometers off South America. 17:23 pm*

Skyquake, per Megatron's orders, was flying to an island off South America that was cloaked from enemy sensors like the converted Kobra Island they took over a while ago. However, there was a big difference as this island didn't have any of Poison Ivy's plants. This island had normal plants, but it was still converted by the Machination and Poison Ivy did have a hand so that the vegetation could grow faster than the norm.

When Skyquake landed, he transformed to robot mode where he saw several Insecticons walking and flying around feeding on the vegetation and creating more pods which produce more Insecticons. He then heard some moderate thumping. Walking further inland, he saw Overkill, Slugfest, and Seismic in their Ceratosaurus, Stegosaurus, and Diplodicus modes respectively. "Ah, Skyquake." Seismic greeted. "What brings you here to our new abode?"

"Megatron wanted a progress report of the conversion of this island." Skyquake informed.

"Ah." Seismic nodded. "Well, it is going splendidly. At this point, the outside island is nearly 100% converted for us and Insecticons. Soon, we'll be able to start converting the interiors and have another base here."

"Excellent news." Skyquake smirked. "Lord Megatron will be most pleased hearing this." He chuckled darkly.

Hello, everyone. I hope you all liked this chapter of Young Justice: Their War, Our World. The Machination, specifically KSI (Kinetic Solutions Industries) has hit a bit of a snag. KSI's CEO: Joshua Joyce shows Megatron their newest creation: The Trax, the KSI version of the Cybertronian Vehicon, but they lack the ability to get it to transform, but the heroes don't know this at all.

On the heroes side, Diana and Bruce have a tiny moment before she talks to Jazz about her feelings towards the Dark Knight. Meanwhile, the Team investigates a potential Machination lead in the Amazon Jungle, but instead, they meet a new team member: Elena Demeter/Verdant. In the end, she's welcomed to the Team, but has a small needing of revenge against the Machination.

Back with the villains, the Machination have another new island, filled with dense jungles, open plains, and deep freshwater lakes despite being in the ocean: Jurassic Island which is home to the Jurassicons: Overkill, Slugfest, and the OC Seismic who transforms into a Diplodicus. However, they're not the only ones there. Several Insecticon Drones are there too, feeding and producing more Insecticons.

PS: This isn't the same Verdant from my other story: Transformers: Multiversal Clash. This version is a little more flirtatious and a tad stronger.
