Chapter 53 Endgame
Its been a week since Boba attempted to have Sean killed at Suyin's estate but failed due to being outnumbered and outmatched with the little forces he had with him even with Zaheer and his group.
Now the Legion was looking for him to bring him in for his crimes.
Sean right now was in his room holding his daughter Kyoshi as she slept making him smile.
"Hopefully you never have to endure the horrors of war." Sean said as Jinora walked in with Yangchen who was also asleep before putting her in her crib.
"I know that look." Jinora said making him sigh as he placed Kyoshi in her crib as she yawned.
"I was hoping when the war was over they could live in peace. But even in times of peace there are still threats. And this one is my fault." Sean said.
"No it's not. If you hadn't Killed Jango he would still be with the empire causing trouble. You did what was right. Boba is just too full of hate." Jinora said.
"Hmm." Sean said before his father walked in.
"Chairman Organa wishes to speak with you. It regards Boba Fett." Tarkin said making him frown.
Walking to the meeting room he found Organa in Hologram form.
"Good to see you again my friend." Organa said.
"Likewise. Whats going on?" Sean asked.
"My spies have been tracking Fett's movements since he was last seen. Theres been an unusual amount of activity in the far outer rim territories. In one of your friend's territories actually." Organa said.
"Which one?" Sean asked.
"Nym." Organa said.
"Nym would have reported something to Anakin or the Legion if that was the case." Sean said.
"Yes. But we believe they're jamming our communications in that area. Something big is going on down there and I'd like you to find out exactly what." Organa said.
"I'm resigned these days." Sean said.
"I understand that but this could stop Boba and whatever he's planning." Organa said.
"At the very least we should see if Nym is ok." Korra said making him sigh.
"All right. We'll head over and see whats going on." Sean said.
"I will send extra security to insure your family is protected." Organa said ending his transmission.
Later
Sean and Korra arrived at one of Nym's bases to see if he was there in Newly upgraded Tie Defenders.
"This is one of the closest places where he could be so at the very least he should be here." Sean said as they went down.
"Whoa!" Korra yelled seeing them getting attacked.
"Just in time you guys. Starting to think our signals didn't get out." Nym said.
"They didn't. Organa sent us because Boba was involved." Sean said as he started blasting enemy fighters.
"Shoulda known. Give me a minute to get in my bomber and then we'll meet up with the others." Nym said.
Sean and Korra fought off the enemy fighters before seeing heavy transports.
"What the hell is going on here?" Sean asked.
"Wish I knew. They just showed up a couple days ago and started blasting us." Nym said.
"They need you out of the way for something. I guess they're up to something big." Sean said as they took down the last transport just as Nym got in his bomber.
"So what has been going on?" Korra asked.
"Not sure to be honest. I do know they've been making factories for something." Nym said.
"Yes, on two worlds in this system." Jinkins said.
"Wheres Reti and the others?" Sean asked.
"They'll meet up with us." Nym said as they flew off.
Soon they arrived at the meeting point.
"Look who showed up." Vana said.
"Long time no see." Sean said.
"So whats this all about? I thought the War was over." Reti said.
"It is but Boba has his own little war against me for killing his father 2 years ago." Sean said.
"So now he wants payback and hired as many mercenaries who have a grudge against you." Nym said.
"Yeah. We need to find out exactly what Boba is up to and how he plans to achieve this. How many sites are there here?" Sean asked.
"One. Not far from here." Jinkins said.
"Then thats where we go." Sean said as they flew off.
Later
"We should be getting close to the main facility." Nym said.
"Good. Once we find out whats going on the better." Sean said.
"Hold up. I'm getting a real bad feeling here." Korra said.
"A disturbance in the force?" Nym asked.
"Is there a City or something near by?" Korra asked.
"One. Why?" Nym asked.
"We should investigate." Korra said.
"You take Reti and Vana with you and find out whats going on. Nym and I will take the rest to the site. This way we can do two things at once." Sean said.
"Ok. We'll meet up with you guys later." Korra said as they left to head to the spot
Soon they arrived seeing the City getting bombed.
"Mayday! Mayday!"
"We got here as fast as we could. And we have a Jedi." Reti said.
"Then there is some hope."
"Whats going on here?" Korra asked.
"We're being bombed with Hex weapons."
"Take out those missiles. We can't let any of them hit the ground." Korra said.
Meanwhile
Sean and the others arrived at the site seeing the place with drilling machines.
"What the hell are they looking for?" Sean asked.
"Beats me. One things for sure we can't let them leave with whatever they have." Nym said.
"And we won't. Start your bombing run. I'll handle the fighters." Sean said.
"Copy that." Nym said.
Meanwhile
Korra and the others were taking out the missiles that were coming down.
"I don't understand. I thought that all Hex weapons were banned by the Republic and the Legion." Reti said.
"They were. All Hex weapons projects and plans were thrown out the window when people saw how dangerous it was. Sean made sure of it when Krennic tried to make his own before the clone wars even started." Korra said.
"So why are they using it?" Vana asked.
"It's clearly a test run." Korra said before something else came down.
"We got fighters...Wait a second...Oh no. Not them." Vana said.
"What is it?" Korra asked.
"Sabaoth fighters. Nasty group of Mercenaries. Makes the Slavers look like saints. Last time I ran into them Nym had to bail me out." Reti said.
"So thats who Boba is allied with." Korra said.
Meanwhile
Sean was blasting the fighters down while Nym and the others destroyed the drills.
"Almost finished here." Nym said.
"Good cause..." Sean tried to say.
"Guys we got a problem here." Korra said on the comms.
"What is it now?" Sean asked.
"Boba has allied with Sabaoth Squadron. And even worse they're making Hex weapons." Korra said.
"Hex weapons?" Sean asked in shock.
"I thought you guys made that stuff Illegal." Nym said.
"It is. That shit was too dangerous for anyone to use. Both the Republic and Legion made it Illegal. I'm surprised Hiroshi didn't make that shit during the clone wars." Sean said since it would be in his field.
"Probably didn't have time." Jinkins said as Nym destroyed the last of the drills before the whole place went up.
"Let's regroup and talk this over." Sean said.
Meanwhile
"How bout you guys get back here to help us out." Korra said as she blasted down several fighters before larger cruisers and bombers arrived. "Like now!" Korra yelled.
"On our way." Sean said.
Korra went behind one of the cruisers before firing missiles at it before it exploded making it crash into the sea.
"This is a losing battle!" Reti yelled as one of the cruisers got close to the space port.
Thats when it was getting shot by a Jedi fighter.
"Need a hand?" Turok asked.
"Turok?" Korra asked.
"I figured you could use some extra help." Turok said as they fought against the enemy before they were toast as Sean and the others arrived.
"Missed all the action." Nym said.
"So if Boba is working with Sabaoth squadron and making Hex weapons whats the end game?" Korra asked.
"He may be making this stuff to Threaten Earth and force them to hand me over for his little revenge." Sean said.
"We already took out the mines so thats one less problem for us." Nym said.
"There also has to be a refinery. You said there were two systems right?" Korra asked.
"Yup." Nym said.
"I got no choice. I gotta call in some backup here." Sean said.
"Most of our forces are spread thin helping the recovery process from the war." Korra said.
"I know. I can get Forge and Iden's squad down here along with the Havoc squad and a skeleton crew for the Destroyer." Sean said.
"Why not ask your counterparts for some help? Sure the Task force wouldn't mind." Nym said.
"Everyone is sick and tired of fighting. Besides something like this is enough for what I can get. We can handle things until we're sure we really need backup from them." Sean said.
"If you say so." Nym said.
Later
The Destroyer had arrived in the system with at least a couple hundred troops. Half were ground troops and the other half were pilots.
"So this refinery is where their making the Hex weapons." Forge said on Nym's bomber.
"Looks that way. Wonder how much they've made so far." Nym said.
"We'll find out soon enough. Right now get ready for a ground assault. I need you to hit four of the five bunkers that are deploying a shield around it." Sean said in his Tie Defender.
"Simple enough." Iden said.
"Nothing ever is." Nym said as he landed before his team got out.
"You know theres a good chance Zaheer could be here as well." Korra said.
"Who's Zaheer?" Nym asked.
"Someone who tried to kidnap us when we were kids. Learned about him a short while ago. Now he's an Airbender because of Boba giving him Sith tech." Sean said.
"We can handle him just fine. Besides I doubt he's that dangerous." Nym said as they made it into the first bunker.
Thats when smaller bunkers came out to let out enemy reinforcements.
"Droid!" Korra yelled as they started blasting them.
"These look upgraded." Turok said as he started shooting at them in his fighter.
"Probably left overs from the war. Be on the look out for anything out of the ordinary." Sean said as he flew over another deployment bunker and blasted it to nothing.
"Clear the area! This thing is gonna blow." Sol Sixxa said as Nym and the others rushed out of the bunker.
"That was easy. Now onto the next one." Forge said as they rushed to the second one.
"INCOMING!" Turok yelled as a ship started shooting at them.
"What the?" Sean said before recognizing it. "Thats Jango's ship." Sean said.
"You and I have something to settle Kruger." Boba said.
"Look kid. I'm sorry about what happened but your dad chose the wrong side. What did you think was gonna happen?" Sean asked.
"I don't care. I want Justice for what you did!" Boba yelled.
"Justice. Right." Sean scoffed before chasing him and fired.
While Sean and Boba fought Nym and the others made it into the second bunker.
"Timers are set! Lets go!" Nym yelled as they rushed out as it exploded.
Sean and Boba fought in the air before he managed to take down his shields.
"Face it kid your outmatched." Sean said making him seethe.
"Next time you won't be so lucky. You're gonna pay for killing my father." Boba said leaving.
"Fucking dumb shit." Sean said heading back.
As he arrived Nym and Forge destroyed another bunker before they made it to the last one.
"Little problem down here." Nym said.
Sean and Korra landed before rushing into the bunker and cut the door open seeing Dark Troopers.
"Oh not these things again." Sean said slicing them apart with his Power Sword.
"Everyone out!" Nym yelled as they rushed out of the bunker before it blew. "I thought we saw the last of them when the war ended." Nym said.
"So did I." Sean said.
Meanwhile
Hiroshi was brought out of his cell before Tarkin approached him.
"Oh...It's you. I was expecting my daughter." Hiroshi said.
"You truly think she's going to see you again? She has other responsibilities and raising her son my grandson." Tarkin said surprising him.
"I have a grandson?" Hiroshi asked.
"No. You lost the right to have anything to do with her after what you have done." Tarkin said glaring at him making him sigh.
"You're right. So why are you here?" Hiroshi asked.
"What do you know about Zaheer?" Tarkin asked.
"Who?" Hiroshi asked confused.
"Do not play games with me." Tarkin said.
"I have no idea who you're talking about. I've never heard of anyone named Zaheer." Hiroshi said.
"You must have heard something." Tarkin said making him frown.
"Well...I never heard a name but I was told they had a group they set up to fail." Hiroshi said.
"Why would they do that"?" Tarkin asked.
"I'm not sure entirely. But I heard they they had plans that concerned them and needed them removed. I think they were talking about Zaheer." Hiroshi said making him frown.
Later
"So if the Sith did send Zaheer to fail why? That doesn't make any sense." Sean said as he and Nym's group destroyed the Refinery seeing it nothing but ashes.
"Perhaps Zaheer's plans put them on edge and decided it was just too risky to have them around." Tarkin said.
"Too risky for them. If thats true then you know it's bad. They usually never turn anything down." Nym said.
"Did Hiroshi mention anything else?" Korra asked.
"Something about the Lothal system." Tarkin said.
'Lothal?' Son asked thinking.
'What is it?' Sean asked.
'There was something there that me, my sister and father did there but...Oh dear.' Son said.
'Oh no.' Daughter said in alarm.
'WHAT!' Sean yelled.
'Hidden in that planet is something we made that could have anyone go to any point in time to change history should the balance ever be damaged.' Daughter said.
'Time Travel?' Sean asked.
'Yes. But father felt it was too dangerous and felt we should leave it be.' Daughter said.
'And now Zaheer is probably after it so he can change history. But why work with Boba if thats his plan?' Sean asked.
'Maybe because it all to an end. Using him to achieve his own goals.' Son said.
"Hey! We just got an alert from one of the nearby systems." Vana said.
"Let me guess. Lothal?" Sean asked.
"How'd you know that?" Vana asked.
"I'll explain on the way." Sean said.
Later
"So Zaheer wants to change the past to something of his liking." Tarkin said.
"It makes sense. This way it can be however he likes in any time zone." Sean said.
"But what does he want to change?" Korra asked.
"Probably something big." Nym said.
"But why did the empire set them up to fail?" Vana asked.
"Maybe because even they understand messing with time can have negative consequences and didn't want it effecting their goals. But Zaheer wouldn't take no for an answer." Turok said.
"That makes sense. Set up to fail either getting killed or captured and he'll be out of the way along with his team." Reti said.
"But why not sell them out to get even?" Nym asked.
"Probably didn't realize they got set up." Sean said as they exited hyperspace seeing the planet under siege by Sabaoth squadron.
"Oh this doesn't look good." Vana said.
"I'll handle the ground you guys attack them." Sean said as he went to his tie defender to head to the surface.
"Got it. Let's go people!" Nym yelled.
On the planet
Sean landed on the ground to where he needed to be and found a rather interesting sight.
It was a dig sight showing a revealed Jedi temple.
'So they found it after all.' Daughter said.
'Looks that way. But where's Zaheer?' Sean asked before spotting him with his group making him pull out a device to listen to them.
"15 years and now we've finally found it." Zaheer said.
"And all it took was some brat thinking he could boss us around. Glad you killed the poor sap when he came back." Ghazan said making Sean frown.
'Treachery always leads to defeat.' Daughter said.
'Agreed.' Son said.
'So how do I get in there?' Sean asked.
'Theres a painting of the three of us on the wall. You'll need to place your hand on mine to get inside. You need to place your's on his in order to destroy it.' Daughter said.
'Of course you could also learn from inside there if there are any other secrets the Sith have hidden away.' Son said.
'I'll go with that.' Sean said before pulling out his chameleon suit and turned into a mercenary before going inside undetected.
Arriving at the wall he found the three of them.
"Impressive isn't it...Kruger." Zaheer said making him deactivate his suit.
"How'd you know?" Sean asked.
"Wasn't hard to figure out. I recognize everyone here but you." Zaheer said as his group appeared.
"What the fuck do you think you're doing?" Sean asked.
"What needs to be done. History needs to be altered. I would think Malgus would have wanted that but he constantly argued that changing history was a bad choice." Zaheer said.
"Maybe because unlike you he knew time travel was dangerous and could make things even worse. Why do you think the Mortis gods abandoned this idea?" Sean asked.
"It is of no concern to me. History will be altered for the better. Towards the true natural order. Chaos." Zaheer said.
"You want to alter history for the galaxy so there is nothing but chaos on every world." Sean said.
"Exactly. Chaos is the natural order. Without leaders, Rules and restrictions. Only thing missing is the spirts joining the galaxy. Of which you refused to keep the spirit portal open." Zaheer said glaring at him.
"They were too dangerous. That basilisk we fought years ago proved that spirits cannot remain in the physical world." Sean said.
"No. They must since they help bring chaos. And I'll make sure the portals open and prevent the Avatar from ever being created in the first place. By murdering Wan before he could merge with Raava and let Vaatu roam free as he should have 10,000 years ago." Zaheer said.
"You're fucking insane. I'm surprised Dad never gave the order to kill you." Sean said pulling out his power Sword.
"You're outnumbered and outmatched." Zaheer said.
"Outnumbered? Sure. Outmatched?" Sean asked as his sword glowed. "Most certainly not." Sean said before swing his blade creating a wave of power at them forcing them all back and destroyed most of the outpost.
Zaheer airbended some of the debris back before looking and gasped seeing Ghazan with some debris lodged into his head while Ming-Hua had her neck snapped making him growl before trying to airbend him but Sean dodged easily.
"I will make sure that the natural order is restored!" Zaheer roared as P'li tried to blast him but he deflected it back with his blade right at her are making her scream as it was blown right off.
"P'LI!" Zaheer yelled running to her.
Sean quickly activated the gateway before seeing the Lothal wolves start spinning around making a gateway.
'Go now!' Son yelled as Sean jumped through.
"NO!" Zaheer roared.
Inside Sean landed on his front before looking around seeing the stars.
"Whoa." Sean said amazed as he stood up hearing voices from past and present.
'It's been a long time since we've been here.' Daughter said.
"Aaah. You've finally arrived."
"I recognize that voice." Sean said.
'As do we.' Son said before a large creature appeared before him.
"Who are you?" Sean asked.
"You could say I'm an old friend of the two inside you who I helped convince you to take inside your body. I am the Bendu. the one in the middle. Between light and Dark." Bendu said.
"So why are you here?" Sean asked.
"To help you. You see I'm the reason your even here in the first place. I convinced your father to put you in a deep slumber till the time was right. For the threat is fast approaching." Bendu said.
"Who? Zaheer?" Sean asked.
"No. He's just a minor threat. Doomed to fail as he has in almost all universes involving him." Bendu said showing his various counterparts in the known universes and his failures and consequences.
"You know theres always been something I wanted to ask about why I was awakened 15 years ago. Why then?" Sean asked.
"Because of the ones you call the White Lotus. You see they at one point planned to train the Avatar as nothing but an object instead of a human being. It would have had negative consequences for her. She wouldn't be able to tell the difference between good an evil and disrupted the balance of her world because of their actions. They plan to do the same with your children once this threat with Zaheer is over still not seeing the flaws of their ideals." Bendu said making him frown.
"Now I know why all my counterparts hate them so much. So what is this real threat?" Sean asked before he showed him complete and total destruction of the galaxy seeing everything in flames which made him glare.
"A great evil is on the horizon. One that cannot be defeated by one or two different universes. No. It needs a great many to fight against this evil." Bendu said.
"Why not just tell us which universe it comes from and who it is so we can stop it before it begins?" Sean asked.
"Ahhhh, A good suggestion but at the same time has negative consequences. You see this alliance between universes is not yet complete and along the way helped others in difficult situations. It needs to be complete before this threat arrises." Bendu said.
"I see." Sean said before looking through the gateways seeing Zaheer about to prepare a massive Hex weapon to destroy all life on the planet.
Outside
"You sure you wanna do this?" P'li asked.
"If this is the only way to help restore the natural order then so be it." Zaheer said.
"You won't get the chance." Sean said making him look before seeing him at the paintings again before pressing his hand into the son's hand before it started moving as the whole place began to fall apart.
"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!" Zaheer roared.
"What needs to be done. This way no one can ever mess with history. Especially the likes of you." Sean said making him roar before trying to airbend him but Sean blasted him with force lightning making him scream in pain before P'li tried to blast him again but he defelected it right back at her head blowing it up horrifying Zaheer.
"P'LI!" Zaheer screamed before Sean rushed in and cut off his arms making him scream in pain before they left as the whole place came tumbling down on them.
"NOOOOOO!" Zaheer yelled as his bomb was burried in the rubble as a bright light engulfed everything.
Later
Nym and the others landed by a clearing before getting off.
"Wait there was a temple here." Korra said.
"Not anymore." Sean said dragging Zaheer by the neck who struggled before getting thrown down.
"What happened?" Nym asked.
"It's gone. I had to destroy it to prevent anyone from using it again by chance." Sean said.
"YOU RUINED EVERYTHING! CHAOS IS THE NATURAL ORDER!" Zaheer roared.
"Oh shut up." Vana said stunning him.
"Hows everything up there?" Sean asked.
"We're good. All the hex weapons are destroyed and the remaining enemies are dead." Korra said.
"Good." Sean said before seeing Legion forces arrive. "I am fully resigning after all this. The only times I'll get back in the action is when this bigger threat arrives." Sean said.
"When do you think that will be?" Vana asked.
"Don't know and I don't fucking care. I just know it will show up and other universes are gonna get involved in this fight." Sean said.
Authors Note: I'll be honest I royally struggled with this since I'm so done with this story and I want to focus solely on my Avatar of Justice. Now it won't be up till say sometime next week on Either next Saturday or Sunday. Gives me plenty of time to work on the other stories for a large update. Read, Review, Fav and Follow.
