Chapter 4: Kekkei Genkai

Year 19 A.5V (After the establishment of the 5 great shinobi villages)

A year had passed since Rasa transmigrated to this world and entered the academy.

He had left behind his doubts about whether everything he was living was some kind of very real dream.

In this year he became convinced that the whole situation he was going through was real and this was no longer an anime world, but it was his new reality and he had to get used to it or he would not survive long in this world of war and death.

He was now 7 years old as Rasa and he was in a state of stasis, since thanks to his efforts and achievements in this year, being the little genius of the village, ending up as the biggest referent of the academy, positioning himself as the strongest of the academy at a young age, earning much praise and respect from everyone.

He had finally managed to get the third Kazekage to call him to his building to give him the scrolls with the steps to follow to master the Kekkei Genkai of the magnet element with which he was born.

Few were born with this Kekkei Genkai in the village and even fewer were able to master it correctly.

The third Kazekage gave Rasa a big lecture and speech telling him that he had great expectations of him and that he hoped to see his future development.

Rasa didn't pay much attention to that, because what interested him were the scrolls he had been given about the use of the Kekkei Genkai which for him could become one of the most powerful of all.

'In the anime, the full potential of the Kekkei Genkai of the magnet element is not shown. But if I could control it and use both magnetism and electromagnetism it would be extremely powerful' thought Rasa with expectation.

That was how he started with the development of the Magnet element.

With the help of the scroll that explained in detail the basic concepts and the steps to follow to achieve the control and transformation of chakra into magnetic forces, Rasa found it extremely easy and quick to master.

Apparently converting his chakra into magnetic forces was something natural, he just followed the predetermined steps described in the scroll and this allowed him to modify his chakra with ease.

And the instant he did this he was surprised to feel the magnetic field of all the metals, it was almost as if he could command them what to do, just with a thought.

'This really is a pleasant surprise, if I remember correctly, there was no one who could move metal so easily, in fact, the third Kazekage only manipulates iron sand and can attract kunai and swords to a certain extent but then why do I feel like I can move metal with ease?' thought Rasa confused with what he was thinking.

But he instantly realized the reason why no one could move metals with ease.

'I see, so this is the reason why the third Kazekage only manipulated the iron sand and the attraction of kunais and swords without doing anything else that is very impressive' he said to himself as he understood the reason behind it.

Even though one feels that with the magnet element one can control all metals, it is not simple at all.

First of all, to manipulate any chakra more easily, Hand Seals are often used and with these Hand Seals, users can control their chakra with greater efficiency, allowing them to execute their techniques more effectively.

There are techniques that one can do with only one hand or even without doing Hand Seals.

But the complexity and difficulty of these increase, giving a low percentage of probability that one can do it.

And therein lies the problem, the Kekkei Genkai are usually the exception since it is something unique that one is born with and comes naturally.

Obviously to be an expert in its use requires a lot of time and experience.

But unlike other Kekkei Genkai that one is usually able to manipulate naturally with greater ease despite not needing hand seals, such as Rasa with the control of gold dust, the magnet element on metal not only requires perfect control of the magnetic chakras but also great knowledge and understanding of the workings of the magnet element.

Although one can feel the magnet element easily, one cannot use it unless one has a great understanding of its characteristics.

You must know everything you are doing, from the movement and coordination needed to generate a magnetization in the elements to the proportional value of the magnetic field you are applying to the object.

And all this has to be done through the chakra which only makes things more difficult.

The Third Kazekage only uses the most basic of the fundamentals of magnetism.

He only converts his chakra into magnetic forces that allow him to make an object magnetic and thus control it at will and even move it without any physical contact, but he does it without focusing on what the magnetism is doing on that object, he focuses only on the distribution of the chakra and nothing else.

This makes him unable to control metals with ease and he must control only iron powder or attract some smaller metals like swords and kunais.

He uses magnetism as if it were a Jutsu and it is not just that, many factors affecting magnetism must be taken into account to control the metal correctly, but he has no idea how the magnetic field really works, he only knows that with a certain action he gets a certain result and that is what limits him so much.

'Although it is understandable, he doesn't even know physics so it would be almost impossible for him to understand how magnetism really works and the characteristics of it, but I must say that his explanation of how to modify and introduce the chakra of the magnet element in metals is something impeccable, I would never be able to do that since my knowledge of the chakra is far below him' Rasa wondered.

'But now I have the key to control this Kekkei Genkai like no one ever did, to think that studying physics would do me good after all' laughed Rasa.

'And of course, I must also thank the Third Kazekage who did a great job studying all his life the chakra of the magnet element, otherwise, even with all the knowledge of magnetism I have, it would not be possible for me to perfectly master this Kekkei Genkai' he mentally thanked the Third Kazekage's efforts.

Rasa would now use his research to elevate himself to another level far above what the Third Kazekage would have dreamed he could ever reach with this Kekkei Genkai.

'My use of the magnet element is going to be unstoppable and unparalleled. Now the question is should I release what I know about magnetism to help the Third Kazekage become much stronger or should I keep it to myself?' pondered Rasa.

After thinking about it for a few moments, he came to the conclusion that it was not favorable to tell anyone about knowledge that he could not explain he had, so he would keep everything a secret.

Rasa already knew that this would be his greatest weapon in the future and he believed that with magnetism he could even surpass the most powerful ninjas of this world.

'The first thing to do now is to see how to evolve my magnet element to be above the basic control that the third Kazekage has.'

Year 20 A.5V (After the establishment of the 5 great shinobi villages)

One year later, Rasa was already 8 years old.

Currently, his ability with the new and evolved magnet element has advanced by leaps and bounds.

He can now control metals weighing up to 75 kilos, but this is only for now and she feels that as he keeps practicing and increasing him magnetic chakra, he will achieve unimaginable scales not only in the increase of weight but also in the speed at which he manipulates them.

For now, manipulating an amount of metal up to 25 kilograms is achieved instantly, which is already something incredible, and if it is a small amount of metal, such as a kunai or shuriken, he can even increase its speed dramatically, reaching the speed of sound.

The biggest disadvantage he discovered when using his magnet element is that he can't move too much if he controls more than 25 kilos, since he must be extremely concentrated when manipulating metals with his mind, and the greater the weight, the more he must concentrate and also must use more chakra which exhausts him quickly preventing him from thinking and calculating well all that is needed to maintain the magnetic fields.

And with the range of metal manipulation, you have the same problem, more distance requires more effort and concentration.

So he should get closer to a certain point of the target in order not to use too many chakras and not to get mentally exhausted.

On the other hand, close combat is not his specialty, so it is not convenient to confront anyone up close.

And this leads him to the idea of having to have large amounts of metal on hand, so as not to have to rely on the metal of the other ninjas, which not only requires great effort to extract their metal depending on the range of distance they are at, but it is also more feasible to eliminate them with his metal reserves at long range and thus avoid a close confrontation as well.

Rasa came up with the idea of developing different skills for both defense and offense, creating a protective layer of metal on his body, not only achieving the goal of defending, but also flying, but for now, the latter is very difficult, since it is too much weight for his person, but later it is very feasible to make use of this.

On the offensive side, in addition to the large amounts of shurikens and kunais that he shoots at the speed of sound.

He also managed to create different metal bars and other things to attack, but all this was discarded since by deforming the metal to manipulate it and form bars and other things to attack, they fail to break through the sound barrier since the material will melt by the manipulation of chakra along with the very speed at which it goes, while the kunais and shurikens of good material, achieve their goal without melting.

This is why he must continue to look for ways to be more dynamic when attacking, so as not to always rely on the same thing and to have a greater repertoire of combat tactics in dangerous situations.

Chapter 5: Pakura

After a few months, the academy was about to start again this year.

Although Rasa already has more than enough level to be a graduated ninja, he doesn't plan to leave the academy until next year, as he wants to dedicate his time exclusively to research and practicing his Kekkei Genkai.

Today was already the beginning of the ninja academy again and Rasa as always was accompanied by Karura.

She used to pick him up every day at her own house to have breakfast and go to the academy together, which Rasa didn't particularly mind.

It was obvious how interested she was in him, the girl had even been learning to cook with him many dishes to make a breakfast he likes.

And since Rasa has some experience in the kitchen he was able to teach her a thing or two, but he didn't expect her to ask him to start making his breakfast.

Rasa had managed to recreate some of the typical/original foods of Earth and show them to the little girl who was delighted with these new and tasty meals.

Although Rasa thinks that her happiness was more about spending time with him than learning how to cook these meals, he wasn't going to think those things, they both won with this, he has someone to prepare breakfast for her every day and she learns some new food and also spends time with him.

When the two arrived at the academy they quickly looked for their classroom.

The moment they entered their classroom, Rasa again saw many 5-6 year kids who seemed to be starting their first year and the vast majority of them were looking at him.

This was nothing new for him since he has great recognition not only in the academy but in the village as a genius with a great future in the village and it is normal to meet these kinds of stares.

But what caught Rasa's attention were not these children, but a 6-year-old girl with long green hair, she wore it styled in such a way that it formed a ball on the top of her head, while two large orange-tipped locks marked the rest of her face, the girl had brown eyes that looked at him with a bit of intrigue, aggressiveness, and determination.

'Mmmmm If I remember correctly this girl must be Pakura, the ninja who was sent by Rasa or rather the fourth Kazekage(me now), on a mission to meet with Kirigakure as a messenger, but was betrayed by him and killed by an ambush of the Kirigakure ninja'

'A shame really, just because of fear and envy, he let such a talented ninja die, with great potential ahead of her, and needless to say, she was a very beautiful ninja when she grew up' thought Rasa as he watched her.

While Rasa was thinking about all this, he seemed to stare at the girl who was also watching him since he entered the classroom.

And for some reason, the girl began to give him an increasing cold and aggressive look.

Rasa was entertained by the girl's grumpy behavior so he decided to joke with her a bit and winked at her before turning around to take a seat and focus on the teacher who was entering the classroom.

This left Pakura embarrassed with a very red face, but this only increased the girl's irritation and now she was even more irritated with Rasa for the embarrassing wink he gave her.

During the class, everything was the same old process.

Nothing new for Rasa, it was all very basic and boring, but thanks to Karura by her side it was quite tolerable.

Now the two were quite close, to the point of joking and talking about many things, the girl was the closest thing to a friend he could say he had in this world now.

Talking to her was his way of relaxing from his day-to-day life and taking his mind off all the plans he had for the future.

As class ended, Rasa and Karura were about to leave, but someone stopped them.

It was the green-haired girl from before.

That's right, Pakura was standing in front of the two staring at Rasa.

"Welll.. hello my name is Karura, what is your name, and why are you stopping us?" asked Karura calmly with a kind smile on her face.

Karura was always very kind to everyone and since it was now a girl of just 6 years old in front of her, she saw her as a little sister.

"Hump I'm Pakura and I want a match with him" snorted the little Pakura in a tone of superiority and determination, pointing her finger at Rasa.

Rasa just smiled at the serious and funny expression the 6-year girl had, it was very cute and he couldn't help but laugh a bit under his breath.

While Karura was surprised by the girl's behavior.

"This..., Oh I get it, is Pakura no?, well, you know, there are many kids older than you who want to fight me, but I don't have time for just anyone, tell me why should I fight a 6-year-old girl who just started the academy?" Rasa asked the girl amused, he was still holding back his laughter at the girl's grumpy and cute little face.

What he said made Pakura think very seriously about it, since it was very likely to be true. Someone that is recognized by the whole academy and the village, must be very busy and she had never thought about it in that way.

Although this is not the case with Rasa as he is usually always at home on his own practicing or researching his magnet element.

And when he's not doing that he's usually with Karura.

So he easily avoids the weaklings that try to challenge him and only in the academy does he find himself in these situations and the few that do it end up too bad to try it again.

So they don't usually bother him.

But all this the little Pakura couldn't know, so Rasa figured he'd better make some profit whit this.

"So... What do I have to do to make you fight me?" Pakura asked with a serious and determined look on her face.

She was going to accomplish her goal of being the number 1 genius and heroine of the village at all costs and her first step to that was to defeat Rasa.

"Mmmmm, Wellllllll..., first of all, you have to reach the level of Genin in strength and then I will face you and the second thing is that the loser owes a favor to the winner, what do you think? Do you agree?" said Rasa with a smile his conditions and asked the little girl.

Pakura stood there thinking for a while with her head down, after a while she raised her head and looked determinedly at Rasa.

"I agree, but you must honor and accept my challenge after I have the strength of Genin," said the little girl.

Rasa looked at her amused and nodded quickly.

"Sure, but don't forget that the loser will owe the winner a favor."

"Hump I always keep my word," Pakura said confidently as she turned and left.

After that event, Rasa went about his daily life without any new disturbances.

Chapter 6: Graduation Sparring Exam

Year 21 A.5V (After the establishment of the 5 great shinobi villages).

A year had passed and Rasa decided not to start another year at the academy.

So he decided to take the graduation exam in advance in which one had to last 3 minutes in front of a Chunnin in order to pass.

Today Karura had gone to pick Rasa up early, as usual, to make him breakfast and then go with him to the academy to watch his graduation sparring exam.

When the two arrived at the academy, they quickly made their way to the training ground where Rasa would face the Chunnin.

When they arrived, the two were surprised at how many people were there.

"Wow, Rasa, you seem to have a lot of fans," Kurara said.

"Don't think they're all fans, I'm sure many just want to see me lose," Rasa said calmly as he approached the training ground.

"Oh come on Rasa, you know most people in the village want you to win, you are the genius of our sand village," said Karura with pride and a cute smile.

"Karura is right Rasa, everyone supports you" a female voice from nowhere was suddenly heard speak.

"Pakura, I already told you that you should say hello before starting a conversation, you always do the same thing," Karura said to her.

"Okey, okay, sorry, but I arrived right when you were talking and I forgot," Pakura said with a smile and sticking out her tongue.

Now the relationship between the three of them (Rasa-Karura-Pakura) became very close and they are getting on well together.

Although Pakura never challenged Rasa to a fight during this time, she always went to chat with them or discuss about something, and eventually, he became part of Rasa and Karura's group.

Obviously, Pakura was no idiot despite being the youngest of the three, she had begun to realize from just watching Rasa train or spar with some of the older kids, that she was still far from their level, and for this reason, she decided to postpone her challenge and get stronger before facing him.

She always told them that she would make sure to catch up with him so that one day she would defeat him.

After talking with both of them for a while, it was finally time for Rasa's confrontation.

Rasa stepped onto the platform where his graduation bout would take place.

The Sunagakure Ninja School didn't have many fighting platforms, the few they had were made by the Second Kazekage who was the founder of the school.

But then all the funds and investments of the village were used for the research part.

The Second Kazekage himself had retired from his post to join the research area of the village, leaving his post to the Third Kazekage who like the Second Kazekage was also more interested in research and therefore used to spend his time on improving his magnet element.

And as the village superiors are fanatic about research, they put everything else in second place and that is why the school is now not in the best conditions, but at least it still has what it takes to train young ninjas.

But unlike in other villages, in Sunugakure only a privileged few have the opportunity to go to school and be taught properly.

Due to the lack of resources, they can't afford to train as many ninjas as other villages, that's why they usually make a careful selection of those who will be part of the ninja academy.

"Alright, today Rasa will face a Sunagakure Chunnin for three minutes, if he manages to stay on his feet during this time, he will be given an advanced graduation and become a Sunagakure Genin. Is this correct?" said and asked the judge of the match to Rasa.

Rasa just nodded and the judge continued speaking.

"Well, if you want to become a desert ninja, you must show your determination and your strengths young man. Now, let the fight begin" finished the judge giving the signal for the fight to begin.

The arrogant Chunnin waited for Rasa to make the first move.

Well, maybe he just wants to give me the benefit of landing the first blow, too bad he'll regret it for life' thought Rasa with a smile as he formed the hand seals for his Jutsu.

"Gold Dust Burial Prison," said Rasa quickly causing a large hole to form underneath the Chunnin made of golden dust.

The instant this happened, the Chunnin reacted quickly and tried to escape, but the same golden dust did not let him out of the hole and began to bury him inside quickly.

The Chunnin desperately began to perform ninjutsu in the hope of escaping, but in just a few moments Rasa had already managed to bury the ninja completely under his golden dust.

After a minute and Rasa made the golden dust disappear, bringing back the Chunnin who had gone down.

The Chunnin was lying on the floor of the fighting platform and appeared to be unconscious or dead perhaps.

"This..." it took the judge a few seconds to react to what had happened so suddenly and so did the audience.

When he recovered himself and saw the result he quickly approached the Chunnin and checked the Chunnin's health, the judge sighed in relief to see that he was only unconscious and not dead.

For the sand village, all ninjas were important and indispensable, as they did not have the luxury of having many at the Chunnin level like other villages.

"Rasa defeats the Chunnin of Sunugakure and wins the match, earning his graduation from the academy and officially becoming Genin," said the judge quickly after checking the Chunin's status.

This caused more than one in the audience to wake up from their shock.

The campus was quickly filled with applause and cheers.

Many commented on how incredible Rasa's victory was and the fact that he was only a nine-year-old boy who could already defeat a Chunnin.

All of this was something that had never happened in Sunugakure, so Rasa was quite a revelation with this overwhelming victory.

Rasa thanked the judge and took the Sunugakure forehead protector that he was awarded as the Genin of the village and left the campus along with Pakura and Karura who were apparently not happy with what he did.

"You..., you big idiot, why did you use that technique? you know it consumes almost all of your chakra, what would you have done if the Chunnin managed to escape?" complained Pakura looking at him with annoyance clear in his eyes.

And even though Karura didn't say anything, it was clear from the look in her eyes that she felt the same way Pakura did.

That's right, Pakura was telling the truth.

To defeat that Chunnin ninja in such an arrogant and imposing manner, Rasa had used almost all of his chakra reserves in that one move.

This is because summoning his gold dust in large quantities as he did to plunge him into unconsciousness required almost completely emptying his chakra.

And both Karura and Pakura knew Rasa's golden dust quite well since they both used to watch him train with it and it was for this very reason that they both did not react very well to him doing something so risky in the fight that defined their graduation.

But Rasa had to do it, it was all part of his plan, he wanted to surprise everyone in the village by defeating a Chunnin with ease, to the point where it looked like he didn't even put the slightest bit of effort into the fight.

This was obviously what he wanted everyone in the village to see so that he could make an even bigger name for himself in the village and get approval to take the Chunnin exam as soon as possible, as well as more benefits for training.

"Well, I couldn't waste the situation, he let me attack first and I humbly took the opportunity with everything I had, why wait 3 minutes if I could win in 1" Rasa replied with a smile even though he was quite tired due to the excessive use of chakra.

The two were not convinced by his explanation but grudgingly accepted it as he managed to win in the end.

Rasa also knew that another reason they were unhappy was because from now on he would no longer be going to the academy with them.

And he would now begin his ninja path, while they were still at the academy.

But he also knew that they both knew the level of strength he had better than anyone else and so they could only accept his leaving the academy.
